The hotel is located in a natural reserve and is surrounded by tropical rainforest. It is also on the shore of the Petenchel Lagoon and 45 minutes from Tikal National Park.
The hotel is located just 15 minutes from Mundo Maya International Airport. This is a nice air-conditioned bungalow complex.
The hotel has 56 spacious guest rooms and conference rooms. Services at the hotel include a lobby with a 24-hour reception and currency exchange facilities.
There is a newspaper stand, bar, restaurant and a car park. Internet access and a laundry service are also available to guests.
A transfer service to and from the international airport is available on request and for an extra charge. The spacious rooms are located in several bungalows in the garden.

This eco-friendly hotel is located on Lagoon Petenchel and surrounded by beautiful rain forest. It’s about one hour away from Tikal Mayan ruins and about 20 minutes away from Flores island. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We recommend staying at the Hotel Villa Maya.

Nice restaurant with friendly waitstaff and good food. Nice breakfast buffet! They had hotel umbrellas for is to use when it was raining one day. Will stay again.

The staff here were great, however the rooms could use some maintenance and upgrades. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful arranging shuttles to Flores and the airport. Our room was the last building so took a few minutes to find our door. The room itself needed some work. The biggest issue was the AC unit that unfortunately loudly clanked when turned on. The choice was either a hot, stuffy room or a loud AC unit. Neither great for sleep. The bed was very firm, maybe a step up from the floor, and added to sleep difficulties. We had an early flight so not getting quality sleep was frustrating. Again, the staff were excellent, I would just suggest upgrading the mattresses and doing some maintenance work on the AC unit.

We totally love this place! Staff is super friendly, check in was super quick and the food was amazing. This area is very secluded and quiet. No TVs in room which helped us connect with each other. The only issue we had is that the blankets smelled like mold but they changed them immediately once we asked. We recommend it!

Staying here, you are literally in a Jungle. If you do not like the nature, it's noises and surprises, this resort is not for you.
If you are okay with Howler Monkeys waking you up in the middle of the night, a few spiders or Geckos on your ceiling then you will be alright.
This resort is absolutely gorgeous.
Restaurant food was decent, smoothies were excellent.
Only thing I disliked was the cost to taxi to Flores and back every time. 150 GTC each way, some taxi will try charge you 250 GTC. The resort offers a shuttle but that is 30USD for 2 people.
Find a genuine driver. Don't bother with the ones at airport.

Beautiful hotel with a resort feel and especially nice for the price. Room was comfortable, grounds well kept, staff friendly, and food at the restaurant was good. They have some great places to relax with a book or watch a sunset, and this would be a good place to take a day trip to Tikal. Guests have the option of air conditioning or enjoying the open air. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely come back or try out some of the other affiliated properties.

We really enjoyed the scenery and location of the hotel. It was a bit isolated and about a 20 min drive from the Flores town. We did not mind at all. The location was peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are surrounded by a lake and nature. The staff was very attentive and kind. The pool was next to the lake and restaurant, where it made it easy to order. The prices for excursions might be higher at the hotel. We booked an excursion to the blue crater and found out that we paid twice as much than other people staying at other hotels near the town. Also, Room did not have a television. Other than that, the hotel is a top place to stay if Peten Guatemala. We loved our stay there!

The most wonderful hotel. Can't wait to come back. It is so beautiful, it fills your heart. We were visited right beside our table by a family of 6 wild monkeys. Also many different birds. Deer, tappir and many other animals walked past us. Wow. The rooms were super nice and the food is great.
