Great great hotel for families! Their service was great, good food that you don't need to spend more $ going to a restaurant (unless you'd like to try one), plenty of activities for kids (pool, kids club, night dancing). Close to downtown but not in the middle of all the happenings which we liked specially since we traveled with our 3yr old.

This is a beautiful resort to have a great holiday with family. We had a great time over Christmas break. Food, spa, rooms, resort surroundings and pools are really good. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Special shout out to Escham who took very good care of us everytime we were in dining hall. Bar and lobby area is very good and spacious with live music every night whilst we were there. Highly recommend this beautiful resort for a memorable holiday.

Would recommend another hotel. Many things broken in my room. Alcohol drinks are terrible. I know it’s a muslim country but other hotels have better options. When it was time for checkout there was no one to help us with our luggage as per the person at the front desk. there’s no elevators so we had to bring our huge luggage without any help. Food wasn’t the best

The rooms were very clean, but mine didn’t include an iron, and the beds were pretty hard. The food and drinks were just okay. If you’re younger, don’t expect much to do — maybe it was just the time of year I visited, but the vibe felt very geriatric. The staff, though, were excellent and definitely a highlight.

Spacious rooms, staff are amazing, distance to airport and souls etc is good. Outdoor Pools aren’t heated only indoor one. No soft drinks in room only water so had to keep going to bar to get drinks in the evening. Kid friendly, high chairs available. Accessible. Food was repetitive but that is expected. 4/5

The hotel was beautiful with large rooms. The hotel was kept spotless as there was constantly cleaning, and the security made it a safe environment.

Food lacked salt/flavor.

I was unable to use the safe in the room because it was locked while opened. I kept being told it would take 1-2 hours for someone to come unlock the safe. I did not have time to wait for someone.

Because I couldn’t use the safe, I could not let house keepers into the room while I was away which led to not getting the room cleaned or dirty towels changed.

The RIU app did not work properly to book reservations for dinner or the shuttle bus.

In general is a good place to stay if what you are looking for is a more classic old Moroccan style vibe, the hotel does it really well, but I believe some furniture renewals and keep the heating available will be a positive experience for the guests, since sometimes the nights can be cold and having the newer furniture will really change the experience of staying in RIU Tikida

I've always been interested in staying at one the RIU Hotels. This place is beautiful and huge. Definitely where you take the entire family. The staff and entertainment at the pool area was top tier! The food was all inclusive, which means breakfast was good, but brunch was delicious. This place is HUGE so please add walking time to get to the front lobby of the hotel (if you have to meet your bus for any excisions)

It says All inclusive but the way they made everything it turns out to be just in name that’s all. You better stay some where else . This place is the worsy experience I ever had . I recently stayed at what was advertised as a 4-star hotel, and I was deeply disappointed. From the moment I entered my room, I was met with an infestation of ants—finding them in the bedroom and even on the bed was unacceptable. The phone in the room was not functional, and my requests for maintenance were completely ignored.

The entertainment options were lackluster at best, with the same music playing on repeat daily and virtually no evening shows to speak of. Dining options were severely limited, with tasteless food that lacked variety and was the same every day. The hotel doesn’t provide food after 10:30 PM, which left us stranded with a hefty 300 dirham bill to get takeout!

Basic amenities were lacking in the bathroom, and there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. I was even charged a £20 deposit for an iron without being provided an ironing board. The pool area was shabby, with broken sun loungers and wasps everywhere. The drink selection was poor, making it hard to enjoy any refreshments.

The only redeeming quality was the friendly staff who, obviously, deserved a tip for putting up with the chaos. This hotel is not a 4-star establishment—avoid at all costs!

This is a wonderful resort. The staff are friendly and efficient. Food is excellent and there is something for everyone to eat. Entertainment staff are fun and activities are well attended. Our room was clean and spacious. Bedding was clean and linens were soft and comfortable. Pillows are quite thick, so if you like a really thin pillow this might be something to see if you can request. Areas around the resort are well maintained and it was nice to be at a resort where the pool towels were plush. It was also easy to book and take the shuttle into Marrakesh’s Medina. We felt safe at this resort and would happily visit again.

Too many annoyances to want to return

The hotel was okay; but just too many irritations to want to return.

The rooms were okay, but the aircon is terrible. There is a controller in the room but I I don't think it actually does anything. It seems to have been set right at the bottom end of acceptable and at a temp that will cost the least to run. Both my kids and I had cockroaches in our rooms.

The pool area is okay, but with some gripes. There aren't enough sunbeds, and so many of the sunbeds are broken. The pool bar area doesn't have enough tables & chairs and often the queues are long.

Food-wise, it's okay. There's a decent range. Pizza & pasta bars, some grilled meat & fish; and usually a couple of tajines on the go. It's nothing to get excited about, but was good enough that you don't find yourself eating the same thing every meal.

Drinks-wise, this hotel is a bit of a joke. If you order any of the cocktails from the \"with alcohol\" section, you have to watch them pour them. Out at the pool bar in particular they will often \"forget\" to put any alcohol in. If you point that out to them they will add the smallest drizzle of alcohol. You will get absolutely fed up, by the end of the holiday, with having to continuously remind them to add alcohol, and then to get them to add an acceptable amount. It's frustrating and irritating given that you have paid for an all-inclusive concept.

To end on a positive note: The entertainment staff are nothing short of excellent.

Had an amazing experience, came at the beginning of July and the weather was pretty hot. Honestly couldn't feel it, I was in the pool most of the time. I expected it to be a lot more packed but the resort is pretty big so you aren't always waiting in lines or feeling clustered with other people. The food was great, the Moroccan restaurant requires a reservation so plan that ahead of time. Issam at the bar was amazing. He kept the drinks coming and had us entertained with his knowledge of the country. Then I met Nihal, who was also amazing. Loved her energy, we were never bored for a second. Everyone caters to you. She will recommend fun stuff to do. We did the karaoke and enjoyed some dancing. Rooms were spacious and clean, and had the AC off rooms open with the blinds closed to protect from mosquitoes. I liked the location, others might not but I believe they have a shuttle to help you get around, we came by car. Want to give another shout out to the front desk lady who was not only quick but efficient. I've been to resorts all over the world and this one will be one I recommend to others.

Le séjour s'est dans l'ensemble bien passé. l'équipe d'animation parfaite, le personnel tres a l'écoute.

Gros point noir, si vous ne vous levez pas à 6h du matin pour mettre votre serviette sur un transat, vous n'en n'aurez pas. certains laisse des serviettes et ne viennent jamais de la journée. un système de pancarte posé sur les serviettes non occupée devrait permettre au pool boy de les enlever et libérer la place.

Un autre point choquant. débardeur type marcel interdit pour les hommes au restaurant; en revanche les strings apparent sous des jupes transparente et en hauts sans soutien gorge ne gêne personne. il vaut mieux voir des naissances de fesses que des épaules dénudées d'hommes.

concernant la propreté des chambre, ca reste du minimaliste, sans compter les cafards ou autre crapauds qui s'invitent dans votre chambre.

For an all inclusive I was not impressed at all. We needed an iron and was told we needed to provide a $20usd deposit to use it and we would have to walk to the reception area to collect it as they would not be able to have it delivered to the room. That was my first red flag! Also, for an all inclusive the food options are not much and what they do have is average. Staff were pleasant for the most part. The location is a bit out of the way. Opt for a Riad or a luxury hotel instead.

From the pool guy Said / the luggagiste guy Youssef, they went above and beyond to provide us with the best customer service!!!
This resort have Great food options for breakfast/ lunch / dinner ! Even gluten free options !!
I would like to commend Jamal who works at the moroccan restuarant/ breakfast bar- he demosrates world class customer service , my daughter who has gluten intolerance ,but Jamal went above and beyond in breakfast / dinner to make sure she has food options gluten free to choose from pasta / toast/ …my daughter and I were very impressed by Jamal world class customer service!!!

Not a 4 star hotel. Food is mediocre and repetitive. Speciality restaurants were ok and self serve. The staff is very friendly. Drinks were the worst I’ve ever had at an all inclusive so I stuck to wine. First room I was given had no usb ports and the phone cord was cut. Front desk moved me to a different room. The new room had dead ants on the bed. The pool is nice but water was COLD. Entertainment by the pool and at night. No small wash clothes so bring your own if you require it. Didn’t use it but there is a shuttle to the square that you must reserve.

Staff is really friendly and respectfull, The Hotel in other hands needs more attention, the food quality was not good, employees touching everything with the same hands they served the food an without gloves, also they have “Two Restaurants” but they serve the same thing in the total of three restaurants they have everyday, they food stops at 10PM so if you hungry after that you have to wait till 7:30 next day, so no late night snacks available. At nights make sure you dont turn off the light because it is a bunch of small rouches that comes out after. Also there is no air conditioner in the rooms, it has a fan, that is your air conditioner right there.

It was in general a very pleasant stay. I especially liked how beautiful hotel grounds are and how helpful and attentive the staff was .
Rooms are large and well appointed.
Cleaning of rooms and around hotel is superb.
Food was generally good with decent variety . We loved paella and fresh bread. On the opposite side beef was always tough and overcooked, Italian restaurant needs to look at serving made to order paste dishes rather than pre-cooked dry pasta mixed in bulk with blunt source.
Some maintenance is needed around the hotel - our room for example had all numbers worn from temperature control dial and peeling pain on terrace.
Pool staff does not fix umbrellas properly in the shaft - more than once we saw flying umbrellas and it just was not tightened properly .
Free shuttle bus to city was what influenced our hotel choice, it was so convenient.
SPA was ok - but therapists does not seem to be very experienced. I was unpleasantly surprised that hammam had men and women in one room.

After the first service we canceled everything else for the week because of her. The front desk staff was hit or miss on service. Overall food was average at best.

Love this hotel. The staff are so friendly and efficient. The grounds are beautiful and so well tended. Everything is kept spotlessly clean. There are a few signs of wear and tear and some maintenance issues but nothing that spoils a great stay.

Place is nice and staff is accommodating. Bar shuts down at midnight so don’t plan any celebrations after that time on the resort. Easy to get to and from the resort but it’s an automatic up charge for taxis as well as even higher at night. The outdoor pool is not heated and was extremely cold. Pools shut around 6-7 between the indoor and outdoor. The kids club is 4.5 hours split into 2 times, this also goes for entertainment at the pool. The food is decent. They will exchange money for you. The bar staff was very friendly. You will see a lot of people playing games as that’s all there really is to do majority of the day here. At 9-9:30 the entertainment team will put on shows until around midnight. The spa was great and very well priced. Overall I would not return due to the lack of things to do but the place was nice.

Had an incident where a women came out of her room to yell at us we were talking to loud while looking for our room key with our daughter. She was extremely rude as well as her husband. I went to the office and practically had to beg them to come address this couple and they did come to say something. I would say there is a lot of entitlement with the visitors at this resort. Smoking where they shouldn’t be. Lack of manners. But again these are the visitors not the staff.

Had an absolutely wonderful time! The only downsides is they don’t heat the outdoor pool so even when it’s warm outside, the pool is like a polar plunge situation. The wifi was very spotty and barley worked at all in the room but would by the main building and restaurants. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the bedding felt like a bare gauze cover- the room otherwise was beautiful and the staff are very helpful & friendly! The kids club & spa were fantastic as well!

The property it self was nice. The food was horrible; two restaurants were buffet style but they all basically served the same things. The hotel room was vague and had no amenities such as coffee maker, kettle nor a IRON. There were no washcloths (a rag) and we were only given two towels. There was only water in the mini fridge; nothing else. We were told (after having to call the front desk) that we had to make a deposit of 200MAD per item to get a kettle or iron (which they had none available even though they told us on the phone they had some available and when we walked over to the front desk there was none).

There’s no club on the property and the drinks (cocktails) are VERY weak.

Honestly, If you’re just looking for somewhere to lay your head and you have plans outside of the hotel then yeah I’d stay here, otherwise I’d find somewhere else to stay, ESPECIALLY if you’re a younger crowd.

My stay could have got much better if it was not about the spa, I went twice the 1st with 2 treatments were good experience but in the 3rd treatment the massage was not so good and money was stolen from me. I had been to reception to change euros and went directly to the spa, paid my treatment and when I left 200 dirham = 20 euros were missing . I complained about it to the spa because they’re independent from the resort. I didn’t get any return. Also my son didn’t like his massage at all.

I had a death in the family and requested the hotel to make an exception and cancel my non-refundable room (1 night) as I had to cancel my entire trip. Property outright declined myself and Expedia.

No matter how many good things people might say, the service and business practices that don't accommodate exception for customers who are truly in need of some leeway, displays a complete lack of respect for their customers and horrible business ethics.

This resort tried pushing the blame on Expedia saying its them who declined to refund me it but its actually this resort. Expedia has been contacting this property for a week ahead of my arrival. Moreover, Expedia notified me that this resort had the literal audacity to ask for a death certificate from the hospital for my deceased family member over a matter of $150 CDN. You guys are genuinely despicable and morally hollow. Absolutely no compassion or respect for the dead or their grieving family and on top of that you declined refunding me as if I care about the money after you reveal your pathetic business practices and moral compass through this gross and disgusting demand.

I liked the hospitality in RIU Tikida, i spent 5nights there it was amazing ... service so good all employees are so kind , the service so good, the food was so delecious and variable... everything is good.
And the most important thing that i lost nothing from my suitcases or bags ... i recommand it for everyone 5✨

I had the pleasure of visiting Riu Tikida Palmerai during my stay in January. The weather was perfect for sun bathing at around 20-25 degrees most days along with offering amazing facilities like football, volleyball and table tennis. The gardens in the hotel are beautiful even as someone who doesn’t appreciate scenery these were a must look. I honestly don’t understand why people complain about the food obviously it’s not restaurant level but it does the job, they rotate some food on a daily basis and you can choose from the three restaurants in the evening but you also have to try some spots outside of the hotel, as the Moroccan food cannot be missed! The only thing I could fault from the hotel is the employees seemed a bit boring not really showing much emotion but that isn’t an issue that should turn you away as the hotel offers way more than what it’s valued out and you should definitely give it a try if your visiting the beautiful country of Morocco.

This resort was absolutely incredible! From the smooth check-in service to the comfortable rooms and grand lobbies with its decor and glamour.

The food was good as expected with plenty of variety. There were a range of bars/restaurants to choose from which was also fantastic however we couldn't experience the Moroccan restaurant as they were based on reservation and there weren't enough for the nights we were there.

They have a shuttle service too to take you to medina and back which was very helpful and saved us a decent amount of ££.

The only few thing I'd like to highlight as negative is that the outdoor pool is not heated and we went in December so it was impossible to use the facility. Their wifi was also pretty bad in the rooms and bang on average in the lobby. Their toilets seemed outdated and the toiletries quality was pretty bad so worth improving upon. Lastly, they need more golf carts and drivers because we waited 1/2 hour to be taken to our room which was far away and also not easy for elderly to get back to reception as the golf carts wouldn't pick us up again.

It was an amazing stay due to all the restaurants staff and cleaning staffs. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Sabah from the restaurant staff was really kind and hospitable. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful.
The rooms are spacious, but a little tired. Beds and pillows comfortable.
The staff are AMZING. So friendly and helpful, they always have a smile and say hello.
The spa was closed for a refurb during my stay, but there is a decent gym there, and an indoor pool, and it looked like great facilities for children.
The food and numerous restaurant spaces were great. After 7 days I found the breakfast and lunch options a little bit repetitive, but there was so much choice you could have something different every day. The dinner options were always fresh and fantastic. One downsides about the restaurants is that not everything was labelled up, or labelled correctly. Fine for me as i don’t have allergies or particular requirements, but not great for those who do.
The entertainment team work really hard, and there’s something on each evening as well as throughout the days around the pool.
Would go back.

The managers aren’t truthful they say go back and we will sort your issue. The laundry team spoilt one of my matching garments by washing not dry cleaning as stipulated.
The WiFi doesn’t work consistently.
The room allocated was all in the shade and dark to go to
The staff however are amazing. The food and atmosphere is good.
The gardens and pool area immaculate
Had stomach issues along with another man I got talking to the whole time of being there but don’t know why.
Other than that the Spa amazing and to be honest if the manager on charge hadn’t lied to me I would have graded it more

This was a lovely hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. The only drawback was the pool temperature- we went at the end of October and despite it being 25 - 30 degrees outside, the pool was ice cold at all times of day and never warmed up, to the extent that small children found it way too cold to swim. Perhaps because it was such a big pool it just couldn’t heat up naturally, but if you’re going to be open during cooler months, it really needs to be heated. The indoor pool also wasn’t heated at all and very cold to use.
Otherwise a lovely place to go.
