The place is pretty out dated and ghetto looking. The \"pool\" they show is in the middle of the lobby- not much of a pool, rather a fountain.
Rooms were cute and a tiny balcony for air so you can open your doors. There is no AC in the hallway in the rooms, but the AC in the rooms work.
The floors a cutely decorated.

Front desk staff was not helpful we arriverd 11pm and given us unrealiable information. When asked for breakfast, she said frim 8-10 and no accomodation for visitors who need to go early for tours. Other staff said breakfast start 7am. We wasted the breakfast add-on since most tours starts early.

Waste of Money on this hotel

Terrible hotel. Booked 4 nights but couldn't stay more than one night although the hotel refused to refund the 3 nights not used but I preferred to lose the money than staying any longer.
Rooms smell bad- not clean. Everything is old and looks it's been abundant place.
During one day stay at this hotel, I witnessed many customers checking out earlier than their original booking and were angry.
The pictures you see are not real.

The room are very scary with mirror all over. When you open the balcony door, all you can see literally were rooftop and can stand over the roof from our bedroom. I had to check in for 1 hour and check out and moved to another hotel. I was never get refunded for my 3 days payment but it’s ok. At least I get to sleep in another decent hotel.

I had high hopes when I selected this hotel from the website, beautiful pictures, great descriptions, but unfortunately the reality was very disappointing: Clearly a hotel without investments, not even the plants are watered. Overrated hotel, not very friendly, not clean and website description not accurate. Poor breakfast, poor choice and not hygienic or comfortable, swimming pool is small and dark and inside, in my 22 days i saw only once that people used it..Deluxe room was spacious, although not as spacious and nice as the website photos promised. Two big plusses though: good wifi and an excellent location. Overall, there should be plenty of better deals in Bangkok...

Very good and comfortable but the shower was hot and cold not constiant hot water. If they fix water problem even better that is my only complaint. They need more choices on the in room food service because only 4 choices and i think they should have more choices. I would stay there next time no problem and close to shopping and transport. bad hotel, they charge for water also in room. if you drink water in room refrigerator they will make bill. Breakfast is just for name, swimming pool is very bad and insects inside it. You cant smoke or drink near swimming pool. If you are late even for 1 minute in check-out they will charge 100 bucks for it. I would not recommend this hotel and people should avoid this hotel.

Close to the most famous mall , MBK mall / centre

I just stayed there for one night , as soon as i entered into my room i felt like something is wrong , but i didnt check anything at first but when I fell asleep I thought to check whats wrong with the room, I found out that my balcony door was locked but the window lock was left open but it was blocked with the curtain , if I had slept without checking it , I could be robbed so easily
But still the receptionist was good & the guard was good too

Moved rooms 4 times in 3 days

Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here. Pay the extra money for another hotel, or even less money for a hostel- this hotel looks nothing like the photos. To begin, the room was a half hour late after our afternoon arrival. The first room they brought us to smelt as though it was douced in pesticides (which it was). We walked in an immediately walked out to get another room. This room was equally as gross, but without the smell. The sheets were dirty when we arrived and we had to ask for housekeeping to clean the room both days. After two nights in this room, we came back one afternoon to a construction zone on our floor. The flooring was ripped out and the rooms were empty and about to be demod. They actually forgot we were on that floor. We went to the front desk and complained, they gave us another room, then after more complaining they upgraded us to their “nicest” room, which had roaches. When we asked for compensation for the incovinience of moving 4 times in 3 days, the customer service man urged us to write a bad review, as he was not going to give us any money back.
Don’t let this hotel put a damper in your Bangkok experience, just stay somewhere else.

Worst place I ever been.

The service was terrible. They don't make up your rooms unless you tell them you want them to. The place doesn't look like the pictures in the website or on Hotel.com. it was deceiving. Air con was leaking, cockroaches in rooms and the smell of cigarettes was lingering in the air. The swimming pool got mosquitoes and it looks like a public pond rather than a pool. The snacks and drinks also deceiving as you drink from dispensers rather than bottled waters.

Terrible experience, I don't recommend.

This hotel was very far out of the way and in not a great neighborhood. When we arrived the staff seemed confused as to what we were doing there and they made us wait because the room wasn't ready yet. The lobby looked unfinished and we couldn't swim in the pool due to the unsanitary conditions (bugs). The hallways smelled like cat pee and the room itself smelled of mold. The bathroom was not very clean and poorly lit. We needed to make a photocopy and they charged us for the service. On our way out the following morning we were advised that they charged for the bottled water in the room. All in all the experience was terrible. Definitely do not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a little dated but it’s reflected in the price location is good with trains buses and tuk tuk or taxi plentiful. So many places to eat both street food or restaurants is a good base to get around the city.. breakfast was ok nice to have free tea coffee and snacks 24/7 I would stay there again

They say \"in room safe\", however this is a padlock on a cupboard which requires a 1000THB deposit.
Did not like leaving key at reception on top of counter for anyone to reach in and potentially access your room. Not secure.

Member of Expedia staff told me that hotel has good rating & he booked superior room but day before travel i found out after checking the reviews that hotel isn't really good which was absolutely correct, at the hotel people who came after me were checking in and i had to wait for hours and half, after asking the reason for delay i was told that superior room isn't available now upgraded to deluxe room, so i went to my room & i was shocked that the room was so outdated very low lights and old furniture felt like haunted room i didn't feel comfortable at all so i refused to stay in so called deluxe room, then was shown another deluxe room it has paper thin wall i could hear people next room & kids were crying i was so tired of long flights & wanted to sleep but obviously it wasn't possible when i could hear people talking & kids crying in next room, i went to reception and got angry that long story short then i was shown 2 different superior rooms both were out date and front gill of aircons were broken wasn't swinging s no air out which i had to tell them the didn't care at all i was tired & wanted to just rest so i got bit better room than the other & guess what after moving into the room went for shower & found out that pipe without shower head which they fixed it, this hotel was a nightmare, i could have booked any other if was informed correctly by Expedia Booking staff.

Dirty & Run-down hotel on a small road, but comfy.

The room had 2 cockroaches when I first entered after the room was just cleaned. The pipes and tap is already rusty, and ceilings haven’t been repainted or maintained.
However, good water temperature and pressure, and comfortable mattress on the double bed (avoid the single beds as they’re relatively soft).
Great friendly staff and 24hr snack is salty popcorn and tea/ coffee/ orange juice.
Free morning buffet breakfast is quite nice. There’s green curry with chicken, spicy stir-fried thin rice noodles, cornflakes with milk, choice of tea or coffee or orange juice, and bread.
Air conditioning in room was strong as well. Generally despite the lack of maintenance, still value-for-money stay.

Inexpensive and located close to BTS

I travel to China, India & Thailand every year and I use Bangkok as my hub. I have stayed at this hotel each time. It's a small hotel and the staff are very friendly. The rates are inexpensive and it is only a 5 minute walk to the BTS station where you can get downtown in one or two stops.
I highly recommend this hotel.

need a total renovation while keeping some of those decorations
dislike the indoor pool which is near the reception and restaurant (everyone can see u swimming)

reception was very nice and gave us free juice upon arrival

Too many things wrong with this hotel. Firstly this hotel seems like its next door to some construction works. So if you're thinking of sleeping in. Don't bother. Firstly we were awakened by some strange sound of an owl or some creature next door that was hooting or honking for over 1 hr. And then the jack hammers came...

Also the air con wasnt working properly. The corridoors had no air con at all. The room was dirty especially the bathroom was mouldy. The mini bar was included in the price, but when we checked in the reception said everything in the mini bar was free except the water and coke. Ok fine, but if the fridge only has water and Coke. Then whats the point?

And finally judging by the guests that stayed there. Most seem like they are there for the working girls. But if you're into that kind of thing, they are going to charge you a 800 baht fee if you bring a \"lady\" to your hotel...

Breakfast was included. But we didn't bother as we tried to get the heck out of there as quickly as possible.

3 star hotel needing some Love in the rooms!!!

My wife and I stayed here 3 nights, about 10-15 min walk to BTS, 1 stop from Siam BTS, central location, lots of local food in the area, It took us about 20 min to walk to MBK centre. Staff great, breakfast basic, toast and jam, tea, coffee, juice, fried eggs, rice and 2 other thai dishes. It served our purpose, the rooms are in need of a good clean and the place definitely needs to be sprayed for cockroaches on a regular basis.

Nice Hotel to Stay In

Stayed there for 5 Days 4 Nights. Check into the hotel at around 3 pm and was greeted with orange juice and popcorn. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Contrary to all the negative reviews on the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel, I personally felt that it wasn't as bad. The hotel and rooms have all basic amenities required. The rooms are relatively clean too. It is worth the price that was paid for the accommodation. The hotel is 10-15mins away from Ratchathewi BTS, you just have to turn right after exiting the hotel and walk straight. 15m away from the hotel is a 7-11 that operates 24/7, so no worries no getting necessities that you need. The walk from Hotel to BTS, you will be greeted with street foods and food stalls that are frequent by the locals *I personally recommend the Dumpling Noodles, it is about 50m walk from the hotel*. Near to the BTS were numerous cafe and restaurant selling Japanese, Western Cuisine etc, the bar is also a stone's throw away from the BTS. Wouldn't mind staying there if I visit Thailand again.

Pathetic room, breakfast had no options except half fried. That too they served cold. Day day there was insects in the half fried and egg had red spots which means really old egg.

Please think twice about staying here. Pictures show nothing Re the condition this place is in. Room was dirty, had black mould in main room and above the bath/shower. Wifi was always down, I had to go to foyer if I needed internet. No drink making facilities in rooms. No housekeeping at all. We had to ask for clean towels each day and sheets never got changed in the 8 days we were there. Floors weren't swept. Hubbies phone went missing but can't prove it was them...... breakfast never changed and really wasn't that great. Shall I go on........???

I think the hotel is okay, the staff were helpful it's close to bts system(7 minute walk ).wifi was very good, modern air conditioning. Overall it's a good place to stay on a budget. I would go back

Great Location and Comfortable

Although basic, diamond city was comfortable and just what we needed for the price. It is in a fab location, really close to the sky train and Siam area. The staff were super friendly and breakfast was great. Be prepared that it is located on a backstreet of Bangkok however we liked this as it gives you an insight to local living and getting a taxi was easy!

Nice cozy hotel for family and near to BTS.

Nice and friendly hotel staffs, going around using GrabCar, bus and BTS is easy and along the vicinity of hotel there is lots of local food stalls and 7-11 around.

So-so Hotel

The hotel was just so-so. The bed and bedding was not the most comfortable, but will do.

The shower on the other hand was of poor planning. Once the water was turned on, the water would run along the edge of the tub to the floor. So, there was constantly a semi-wet floor near the corner of the tub behind the toilet. This is most likely from the design of the tub and/or the out of level tub.

On a bright note, the hotel was near some great local food shops. These types of shops aren't available/too far when you stay on Sukumvit Road by all the Malls and chain restaurants.

Great inexpensive place

This hotel is on a side street off of the main road. It was charming and had its own character. Don't expect one of the main hotel lines. This is small, local, and unique. The staff were very helpful. We arrived at 1100am and didn't expect to get in, but they hurried and cleaned a room while we waited in the Lobby by the pool, eating some crackers and juice and tangerines they gave to us.

The hot water did not work for us but we ended up enjoying the regular temperature water because of the heat.

The breakfast was simple. Fried/Over Easy eggs, rice, and a couple other entree items.

We saw it as an adventure, loved the staff and hope to return.

A taxi ride from the airport costed 180 Bht + 70 Bht + 50 Bht in tolls.

Going back we walked to the sky train and took it one stop (15 Bht) to the Airport Train (45 Bht). A bit cheaper and even faster.

We will come back. We loved the city, the food, the temples, the shopping and everything.

Friendly staff. Quite central to things.

Hotel is quite central to things. In a little one way street with a 7 Eleven at the corner. Big supermarket and stores about 5 minutes away. Great friendly and helpful staff
