Lizards, cockroaches, no cleaning

This was not a hotel, by any means of the word \"hotel\". It's operated as an airbnb. No front desk, no one to go to when something goes wrong.

Also, here are the other problems:

1. The bathroom sink hole was faulty. The water would get collected and not drain. We had to find a workaround with a plastic fork to keep it working (see pictures)

2. We saw a lizards and other small insects in the room (see pictures)

3. We saw a cockroack in the cutlery cabinet, and hence got our own cutlery from then on

4. No cleaning service, even a single time for the 6 days we stayed there

Quiet location, perfectly clean rooms.

This location was away from the hustle-bustle. Within a mile of market and restaurants. The beach across the street was seclude and quiet, perfect for a quiet swim and morning walks. The common area was nice and the room was perfectly clean and recently updated. The garden was beautifully manicured.

The location of this property was perfect for our use. The beach is across a fairly busy street, but the beach is pretty nice. We had to ask for a hairdryer, which another guest ended up with and we never got one. Probably should have a hairdryer in each unit.
The common room was clean but no breakfast was available. I feel that a breakfast could easily have been done with COVID issues in mind with prepackaged items and drinks.
Our room was nice but small.
The house itself is set nicely on the property and the parking was pretty good. Fairly quiet location at night.

This property was beautiful! There was a small beach directly across the street steps away! Watched beautiful sunsets from there! The room was very clean. The bathroom was updated nicely. Any requests we made were taken care of promptly. Would definitely stay there again and/or recommend to friends.

Relaxing tropical hideaway...

We enjoyed the 'beach cottage' very much. The unit was spacious with two bedrooms each with its own king-size bed. We spent the first two days decompressing by sitting on the verandah, gazing out at the sea and Moloka'i. The location was convenient for picking up groceries (Napili Market) and there were a couple of tasty local restaurants that we got take out from. The wifi was a bit iffy at times, but maybe that was a good thing...

Lovely spot in a quiet residential neighborhood. Loved the near-private beach right across the street. Perfect for our family of 4; separate bedrooms for kids and parents. Made good use of the kitchen: Napili Market grocery store only 5 mins drive away, ate breakfast on the lanai every morning while watching the surfers. Short drive to get to the bustle of Ka'anapali or Kapalua beaches.
Correspondence with host was efficient; check-in & check-out was seamless.
We would happily stay here again!

Sad to say...there are better options

This place does not live up to its description. It was clean.
The landscaping was lovely. And the location is good. But the barbecue area was In a paved area one step off the highway and consisted of one old grill that we would not put our food on. The lounging area consisted of two patio chairs on a small lawn area on the highway. We reserved the “deluxe suite” with king sized bed, ocean view and private sitting area. Again, it was clean. There was a king sized bed, in the roomy bedroom with the ocean view ON THE HIGHWAY, so noisy. The sitting room was small, with a TV and sofa but uncomfortable. We had access to a microwave in the communal sitting area. We had a small refrigerator. The bathroom was small, old but clean.
There was a beach across Lower Honoapiilaani Hwy just a few yards up the road. The one time we went over there, we ran into some people with loud music, obnoxious vaping and pit bulls.
We only stayed 2 of our 7 nights because it was not conducive to a relaxing, island style vacation. I wish I could give this place a better review because Tanaz, the host, was very responsive, but there are better options in this area.

Great location, very cute house :)

The room was small but clean and in a really cute location --- the house was just in front of a small beach that was good for swimming and snorkeling and beach towels and snorkeling gear is already provided. Mattress and pillows could be more comfortable (both were too soft, the mattress would make you fall towards the middle of the bed :( Breakfast was delicious and consisted of fruit, pastries and juice that they deliver in a basket outside the room; only downside was that with the heat the food goes bad pretty fast (our blueberry muffins had some mold by the time we got to the room at night). Maybe they could delivery it in a thermal/insulated bag? Also, instructions on how to get breakfast could better (we missed it one day because we didn't realize the empty breakfast basket had to be left outside). Overall I liked it a lot, would go back.

Clean, comfortable rooms in house across the street from the ocean. Breakfast is dropped off the evening before in a basket. ORBITZ did not list the $150 cleaning fee on their site, so make sure to look at Maui Beach House website and read everything carefully to make sure this is the place for you, as there is a no refund policy on cancellation. Nothing wrong with this place, just make sure this is the part of Maui you want to stay in.

Great location near all the hot spots

Overall pleasant experience . We had little to no interaction with the staff, which we enjoyed . The breakfast was interesting , heavy on the carbs and sugar but overall good for snacking .

Great location on the ocean

I stayed in the Plumeria Room and it was very nice. The room was very clean, plenty of towels, good TV reception, comfortable, coffee pot and a small refrigerator in the room which was very handy. There is not a real kitchen in the room - the microwave is in the \"common\" area which has a few chairs and a dining table. This is not a B&B in the true sense of the word. The owners live in the house which is huge and they rent out the extra bedrooms. Every morning a piece of fruit, a pastry and a juice box are delivered - that's it. The pastry was fresh and the fruit was good but a juice box just seemed a little cheap. The coffee in the room was good coffee. The house is right across the street from the ocean and the view is fabulous. One evening whales were playing for half an hour and the sunsets were fabulous. A food market is just up the street. Lahaina is 5 miles away and it only takes 10 minutes to get there. I never saw the owners which was fine since I didn't need anything. I feel the rate was a very good value because of the peace & quiet, the privacy, the gardens and the view. I do feel that the extra cleaning charge is excessive. No other B&B or hotel I've stayed at ever charged a cleaning fee. I booked through Expedia and missed the standard \"hotel may charge additional fees\" statement and didn't realize there was an extra fee to clean the room until after I booked it. It's my fault that I didn't read the fine print but this is something I would never have expected.

Nice the hotel near the beach.

It is Very bad experience!
1. The hotel is hard to find.it wasted our two hours to find it because it's address is not right.
2. We reserved 7 days to live there, but they didin't change towel everyday, we only have once new towel after 3-4 days we live there.
3.The room is vey small. Luckily the shower is fine.
This is my first B&B experience, I would never try again.

Maui Beach B&B was outstanding for the price! I didn't rate higher because the pillows were hard and after one week our sheets were quite sandy and damp. The little breakfast basket was nice and different every day. A little sitting area in the front yard was great for morning coffee and whale watching. My husband and I would return! But, would opt for a larger room next time. The rooms are the size of a small bedroom so you should be organized. Enjoyed!!

You get what you pay for...

I would stay at the Best Western in Lahania before staying there again! Not a B &B that I have ever stayed at before. There is no one to greet you or ask directions, so no front desk or personal contact at all. The spa didn't work and hasn't for a while yet it was on their website. Your breakfast is delivered in a basket the night before with a pastry a piece of fruit and a juice box in it, really!! No maid service and you have to ask for extra towels if needed by phone or a note . If you want to be completely on your own while staying in Maui then you might like this place. I found there website misleading and if I would have known more about the place I would have never stayed there to begin with... remember you are staying on the bottom floor of someone's home.

Not what I expected

I rarely leave reviews but I do think that people should know that this is not really a private establishment and there is no private beach. I paid way more than what I would have paid for a much nicer condo in a complex because I was sold on the beach. Well it's not a beach you can lay out on and you have to search to even find a way down to it. I was gone a few nights and when I did return late in the evenings there was no breakfast basket left out for me. I guess they figured I wasn't coming back but to me that's something that should be offered regardless. Shampoo given but no conditioner. People right in front of my window during the day doing laundry and gardening. See through window shades. I can't say it was horrible because it wasn't. It was just okay. In the end I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. If you don't care about a nice room with privacy and you're going to be gone most of the day I guess it doesn't really matter. I won't be going back.

The location was easy to find. There was a designated parking spot with plenty of room. The room itself was okay. It was clean. It was darker than I would prefer. There was no air conditioning. There were only 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper for a week's stay. There was only 1 small round bar of soap and no other amenities which would include: soap bars, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. There were two bedrooms with a note on one of them not to use. No explanation why. There was a notice posted regarding bed bugs. I make many trips to various islands and have never seen this notice posted before. Not clear as to whether they had a problem with them or it was something that was required to post. Nonetheless, it made me a little nervous as to whether I should be worried about them. Sitting on our deck, we could see into the room next to us and also hear them use the bathroom. The oceanview from the deck was limited by large plants. My expectations are higher than what I received so I would not stay here again.

This was a great stay for a great price. Relaxing and quiet. The continental breakfast was very tasty and fresh fruit was satisfying. The bamboo suite was clean and comfortable. I will surely visit again hopefully with my whole family.

Nice and quiet B&B

I needed a few days of quiet and solitude to work on some book chapters I must finish. I found exactly what I was looking for. Maui Beach B&B was relaxing and serene. It is not a hotel so don't think about those kinds of amenities. The room was clean and new with a small refrigerator, plasma tv and AC. The bathroom was up to date. It is across the street from a small beach which was nice and close to several restaurants. The management was superb, accommodating, and soooooo kind. I recommend to all who need quiet and relaxation. I know Hawaii law does not allow for a hot breakfast and that is the one thing I missed upon waking, but there was ample fruit, bread, coffee, and juice. Thanks for a great time, and I will see you all again.
