The best parts of Toronto are easily accessed from the Victoria Hotel. It is just a few feet to the PATH that goes under downtown Toronto all the way up to the Eaton's Centre on Dundas street It is like an underground city when you get onto using the PATH., and you can walk inside out of the weather to go many places, including the Theatre District!

This is my second time visiting Hotel Victoria, such a gem of a hotel. Location, atmosphere, service and value. I tell all my friends and family to book here. I needed an early check in for my stay today and Ratnesh at the front desk was more than helpful and accommodating to my request. 5 stars :)

Hotel Victoria was a cozy stay! They were able to accommodate a little treat for my friend’s birthday when we checked in, which was a nice surprise. The building is dated, and the shower is a little small, but the room was comfortable and the location is awesome for accessibility. Thank you to Riya for all her help :)

The hotel stay was OK, a few things that stood out. The room was clean and lovely but quite small, very minimal space. The television had very spotty connection and continued to cut out whether it was being logged into Prime TV or just watching the regular television channels.
As for the restaurant in the lobby, (I was traveling with my daughter) although we were able to pass time by playing a couple of games that were available from the bar we had to wait an hour for our breakfast and we were the only customers. There was a challenge in finding ingredients, but we were not made aware and I was quite disappointed as to how long it took and the lack of communication to us with regards to the delays. I requested our beverages to be comped but expected more to be honest for an hour delay for breakfast.
A cute spot, but would not recommend.

Room was small as advertised but very comfortable. A chair would have been nice because there was enough empty space for one. We were disappointed that we couldn’t get a small snack such as a muffin in the morning rather than a large breakfast. We were not offered a free drink - I had to ask for it.

We had trouble with the heat, even after turning it up still blew cold air an it didn’t work very well, the mini fridge was not cold even after turning up the temp, and we are just not used to how noisy the streets are especially having a room facing out.

The hotel was in a great location but the room could use some work. There was a gap between the lock and the wood. I could see clearly through the room from outside the door. I covered it for the entirety of my stay. I did appreciate that the bathroom had a a real door even did it was mostly glass. I also appreciated the lack of carpet flooring.

The hotel is charming but rooms need some work. I stayed in a single room and it was apparent they did some repairs but very sloppy. There’s no onsite parking and the suggested lot was very expensive. Overall the stay was good, just the room felt like it needed some tlc.

Our overall experience was good and we would return. The hotel had a very beautiful and welcoming lobby. During the night there were a lot of sirens however that only seemed to disrupt the adults sleep; our two children slept right through it. The location was very favourable with lots of things in walking distance. We planned on having breakfast and went down around 8:30am to find that the chef wouldn’t be onsite until after 9:30am so we ended up going to another hotels restaurant to dine. This was disappointing as we had already looked over the menu in our room and were quite excited only to find out we’d have to go elsewhere. Things happen, we understand.

Disappointing Stay for the Price.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, paying approximately $1300, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet the expectations set by that price point.

Front Desk: The check-in and check-out process was very unpleasant. The lady at the desk was cold and unfriendly, giving the distinct feeling that I was bothering her simply by needing service.

Room Noise: The room was small, and the noise level was disruptive.

The bathroom fan turned on and off randomly day and night, making a loud noise.

A relentless, annoying \"bip\" noise occurred every 10 seconds from the corridor, which was clearly audible from the bed.

View to the bricks..

Dining: Breakfast service was extremely slow. Even with only a few other people dining, it took a minimum of 30 minutes after ordering to receive the food.

Amenities: There was no coffee machine in the room, only instant coffee packets, which is subpar for a hotel in this price category.

Positive Notes:

The hotel was relatively clean.

The actual food, once received, was good.

The live music in the common area was a nice touch.

While the cleanliness and food were positive, the poor service, disruptive noise issues, and slow dining made the stay very frustrating, especially considering the high cost of over $400 per night. I will avoid this hotel in the future and seek better value elsewhere.

It was average and slightly disappointing. For over $300 I paid to stay in a tiny box where the view was of a brick wall. No full length mirror in the room either which was odd. Location was central and good, lobby was very cute, but the hotel bar was also closed on Saturday night. Would not return.

There is a lot of history, that was interesting. There is an on-site coffee shop/resto which is handy. Super convenient location. Lobby is lovely. Spent lots of time there since there was no comfy seating in the room, just a desk chair. Not sure what was up with the tv/power. The tv shows would pause for a few seconds every once in a while. Loose electrical plug and flickering lights. Worth what I paid. No bells, no whistles, but a comfortable bed.

We had a great stay at Hotel Victoria. Riya at the front desk was very helpful and was wonderful getting us situated with an early check-in.The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast menu had something for everyone. We originally selected this hotel for the Heritage designation and location and now wish we'd had a longer stay. Beautiful inside and walkable to Scotiabank arena, Union Station, CN tower, Rogers Center, Eaton Centre, and Nathan Phillips Square. We hopped on the metro back from UofT, Yorkville and the ROM. Would definitely stay again!

Check in was gruelling, wanted to switch card that booked with.
We were charged the deposit on both cards.
The machines wouldn’t process ours and another guests cards so did an email transfer, then they called our room and wanted us to come back down after check in took 45 minutes already. The Saturday staff did not seem apologetic or able to explain the issue, but the gentleman who checked us out was apologetic about the double charge and explained better than the manager had.

The bedside tables and “desk” were not cleaned at all, debris and glass rings.

The bed sheet didn't fit the bed and wouldn’t stay on which was sort of gross, was a king bed and probably a queen sheet.

Base board heater in bathroom didn’t work so bathroom was cold, especially since the A/C was blasting when we came in the room in mid November.

Tv chrome-cast and airplay does not work which didn’t matter too much but was just annoying.

Great location. Small but adequate rooms - think European sized, tiny bath with little to no counter space. Unless you're in one of the street- facing rooms there is ABSOLUTELY NO VIEW except a brick wall. TV worked sporadically, although staff did try to fix it. Hotel seems a little worn out. Staff OK. Overall, an alright stay, but I won't go back or recommend the hotel.

Stayed overnight for a work event nearby. Very old dated room, noisy (near the subway), dark room with limited lighting and only a tiny bathroom mirror. The tv didn’t work. No food options late at night or early afternoon. You can’t even buy water. Person at the counter didn’t have the first clue what was going on. For what they charge per night you definitely should get more. I’m local and this was embarrassing for our city.

Very noisy (no soundproofing for street noise or hallway noise), air conditioner too loud to have on, when turned off the fan noise is still quite loud and annoying. No fan in bathroom, no mirror in room other than bathroom mirror which has very poor lighting for applying makeup, fridge is not cold at all, no complementary bottled water or coffee maker, down elevator button broken, asked for more washcloths and were left a few hand towels instead, shower products very fragranced and irritating, pillows very uncomfortable. Room wasn’t dirty, but definitely not the hotel experience we are used to. Overall a very utilitarian hotel, and not up to our standards.

This hotel was central to everything we needed to do while staying in Toronto. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it was a 15 minute walk to the Scotiabank Arena. The hotel was quiet, staff were friendly, and it had everything we needed to spend the night. We will definitely be back!

Lobby is GORGEOUS!!!
Second floor we stayed on, issues with a blind that was prob used for where an air conditioner was, it wouldn’t go down all the way so we felt like we had no privacy!! Also very loud early morning construction. Again second floor, so we felt like we were right in it! Ugh!
