My second stay was way better then my first. Not sure if it had something to do with the floor of the hotel, but my first stay was on the 10th floor. It took 10 minutes for the shower to get warm water. The couch in the room should probably be replaced.

My second stay which was one week later. My room was on the 34th floor and the room was absolutely incredible.

Staff in the lobby are very helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

Great stay! The check in was easy and quick. The hotel was very quiet and I was able to sleep well. The Ritual Cafe had a fantastic breakfast. Staff were friendly, one maintenance team member even walked me to the other tower so I could see the historical elevator. Price point was fantastic compared to other hotels in the area as well as the stay being during FIFA, Blue Jays home games and Pride. All around a great stay. I wouldn’t recommend definitely stay here again.

Check In was quick and friendly. Hotel is in an amazing location. Right beside the subway and Yonge Street. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet even though it looked out onto King St West. Real toilet paper would have been nice and not a dispenser that gives pieces of thin tissue. The bathroom is in need of a renovation. It just looked old and rundown.

I would easily give this hotel five stars, except for one recurring issue. Leaving dirty laundry bins in the hallway next to the elevators 24/7 was an eyesore and felt quite distasteful. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. The food was great, the service was marvelous, the fellow guests were wonderful, and I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and location.

Our historical suite was lovely. It wasn’t very big but everything was well appointed including a full kitchen and washer/dryer. The beds were very comfortable. The room was quiet.

The Daily Ritual served excellent breakfasts and the Teller’s Bar was a fun spot located in the lobby that serves good appies and drinks.

I would definitely stay at this property again.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel! The front desk was very friendly and allowed me to have an early check-in, as the room was ready. The room had great amenities. I appreciated the kitchenette that had a stovetop, fridge, microwave, Lavazza machine and pods. The room was very clean. I had a $20 food and drink voucher from Expedia and used it at Daily Ritual Cafe on the main floor. I was able to get a cappuccino, egg and bacon sandwich, and two croissants with that $20 voucher, as the prices are very affordable there. I highly recommend the almond croissant! It was absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying downtown.

The best part is the location of the hotel. 1 subway stop from Union Station or if the weather is nice, you can actually walk there from Union Station. The room is more like an apartment. It came with a stove, fridge, dish washer, microwave and coffee machine. You can actually buy groceries and cook. The downside is the room is clean but very dated. Bathroom is also very dated. The staff is friendly, check in was fast, concierge was helpful in getting us where we want to go.

The room service food was great quality and really tasty. Communication was very easy as it was linked to my text message. The room was very clean the reason they didn't get 5 stars is because the front cabinet covers were not wiped down and there was dust on the baseboards. There were also a lot of fingerprints on the downstairs doors. That is personal preference and it would not stop me from returning. The hotel is very conveniently located to everything but when I asked people at the front desk for different directions they struggled a little bit and I would default to using my phone. All these things would not stop me from returning as the people that delivered items to my room were very helpful with actual features and amenities inside the hotel.

Beautiful hotel that is a 5 minute walk from Union Station. The hotel is rich in history with a very impressive vault to the old bank that used to be there. The rooms are very spacious and met the needs of the 6 of us. We had two rooms. They have options for breakfast, drinks and dinner however we have very picky eater so we did not utilize the options. The staff was very helpful with assistance on traveling to the airport and had everything ready. There are plenty of nearby attractions, the CN Tower, The Hockey Hall of Fame, the Blue Jay stadium and many restaurants. It was a very nice experience. Thank you!

My 3 favorite things were the view from my room in the tower, the bellhop, Matthew, and the vault.
Matthew was always there to assist me with my bags, was so welcoming when I came in overwhelmed and frazzled.
Being able to see out onto Lake Ontario was a joy, and the infrastructure of the building itself, incredible. The vault was breathtaking to see. All the staff were kind.

Everything was clean. Room very quiet. Nice room view. Nice people on the reception. Great coffee Lazazza on the room and a Italian style cafeteria in the lobby. Greatest pastries and goood coffee. Plus you have the option to have seated breakfast if you want. Also the restaurant in the lobby area was delicious and the service soo good. In general I have a great time!

An absolutely stellar experience at the One King West. Truthfully I think it has ruined all other hotels for me. We only stayed one night but we loved the two TVs (he could watch sports, I could cast The Sopranos - amazing), loved the little kitchenette area, everything was immaculately clean and the room was nice and cool. Also the room was SO quiet which is a feat in downtown Toronto. Absolutely will be back.

I took the train from the airport to Union Station and walked to the hotel in under 15 minutes, with me walking slowly due to taking in the sights along the way. The hotel staff were very friendly. I had a Historic Superior Suite, on the older side of the building. The room wasn't anything special. View of the street. The bathroom was very small. All that aside, the room was clean the bed was comfy and I felt very safe. And, I was in Canada!!! I was happy. I did order room service for dinner one night. Fried chicken sandwich with fries. It was satisfactory.
The location was ideal. Although public transportation was available everywhere, I walked everywhere I went and enjoyed every step. The was so much to see within walking distance of the hotel. St. Lawrence Market was so nice, I walked there twice in my 3 day trip. But, the hotel was fine as i only needed it for rest, I was out and about most of the time. When it rained, I just went to the basement entrance and walked the PATH. Took it to CF Toronto Eaton Centre, which was a nice mall.

This hotel is clearly outdated, and you’re largely paying for the location rather than the quality of the property. The carpets in the hotel room had visible stains that appeared not to have been properly cleaned, which gave a poor impression of cleanliness.

We also reserved a stroller in advance, but it was not available when we arrived, creating an unnecessary inconvenience at check-in. Overall, while the location is convenient, the condition of the hotel and lack of attention to guest requests did not justify the price.

Nice hotel, fancy lobby. Very attentive staff. Very odd configuration of room. Items like light switches and all different pillows on the bed didn't make much sense or comfort. Shower water took a long time to warm up. No view with one window. The other window was coated so you couldn't see the building a foot away. It was a basic place to sleep.

I booked and was charged for a 2 bed room and I got a one bed one sofa couch instead. When I called to inquire after I entered the room, the front desk lady told me that yes I was correct but that they were sold out and gave me what they had. No price difference, no I’m sorry, nothing. If I wasn’t in a whole different country, i would have left.

The Hotel itself looked wonderful. Our first day, night and next day we had no hot water. It wasn’t until the second night that they moved us. Said they would give us a discount but we still payed over 1400.00 for three nights.
We won’t go back.

The location can’t be beat. While the rooms are a bit dated the staff and amenities make up for it. It’s one of the first good shampoo, conditioner, lotion combos that are actually good. Oh, and the beds are incredibly comfortable! I’d definitely stay here again!

Loved the central location. I had tickets to 2 Blue Jays games, and was also able to access so many other great locations so easily. One night we went to Ossington restaurant alley for some great food and a comedy club. We did a walking tour hopping on/off street cars and subway as needed and walked Kensington Marker, The Well, the Annex, and Casa Loma. Another day we walked the waterfront for some FIFA watch parties, had lunch in the Distillery, and caught a bit of Taste of Italy street fest. Special shout out to Teller's Lounge...it's got a nice, laid back atmosphere for winding down after a full day of sightseeing, and to Daily Ritual for a very good breakfast service.

Hotel staff was great, room was well appointed, and the historic part of the hotel is nothing short of beautiful architecturally.

Love how it's in walking distance to stores, union station and Roger's Centre.
Loved the lobby bar, staff were friendly and attentive.

The staff went over and above to help me with properly storing some frozen food samples I was bringing for work, and then again at the end of my day to help with storing my luggage for a conference day after I'd checked out. The front entrance to the hotel is across from several quick meal options, and the back entrance is on a quieter side street that worked well for ride pick ups.
Fantastic, spacious room with a great kitchenette, that was also much quieter than expected.
Great bed, great water pressure.

I have stayed at One King West many times, as it has been my hotel of choice in the dt region . I found a significant difference in the standard of the hotel this trip. The cleanliness of the hotel, the ambiance of the lobby bar, restaurant service , etc., were all a lower standard than previous stays. I travelled with my senior parents who I had told how great the hotel was . My parents did not have hot water in their room for the first twenty four hours of their stay ( after traveling ). It took a very strong stance to get this rectified . The customer service was very poor. Overall , it wasn’t a positive experience like it’s been in the past.

Only stayed one night but the hotel room was nice and clean. Bed was comfy with comfy pillows. Room temp was perfect. Only small complaint was that staff was already outside of our room at 8am, slamming doors, yelling and laughing very loudly with each other. it woke me up and I was not able to enjoy my sleep. I understand they have a job to do, however, they can be a bit more quiet and considerate to people who are trying to sleep in and enjoy the room.

I enjoyed my stay at One King West. My room was quiet and well insulated against noise, the beds were very comfortable, the space to work was well organized with a real office chair. There was a kitchenette that I did not use, but could be convenient. It was ackward to hang clothes in the kitchen, but there are drawers under the tv. The bathroom was very clean and there was good water pressure. Check in and check out were smooth and quick. Internet was a little slow, but was good enough to work. It is definitely a fantastic option for the price in downtown Toronto!

Great hotel. The room was like a suite and very spacious. The little bar/restaurant had delicious food and lovely staff.

Our only issue is we were walking from Union station and had a hard time finding it. We are not familiar to the city, so we were a little puzzled.
