The outside areas and communal areas were filthy, I had to scrub the green moss off the walls and floors of the balcony. Would never return. Surprised this location is advertised on Wotif.com.

Not luxury, but perfect for our stay.

The hotel is in deed of some TLC and it seems, has been for some time.
The pool was unavailable as the water had not yet been certified but the beach is within easy striking distance.
The towels and bedding were spotlessly clean; the king size bed was exceptionally comfortable - we never tried the bunks.
The sound and view of the ocean from the balcony was exactly what we were hoping for in Biarritz but the room remained quiet with the shutters and patio doors closed.
We were surprised to find a kitchenette which was welcome.
Ample parking for free was most welcome: garage parking is offered at additional cost.
I would not hesitate in returning - the price reflects the experience and the staff were kind and considerate.

We booked for 3 days and the positive points are the location and private off road parking, there is an outdoor swimming pool and indoor gym and hot tub,

I would think that when this was new it was very good, it is now dated and gives an impression that it needs money spent to bring it up to date, the apartment furniture is dated and utensils could do with deep clean. If you are on a budget, then OK, if looking at 4* hotel standard you will be disappointed. It was OK and served as a base.

You can go there with low expectations, they will be met. The facility is falling apart. Make sure you bring everything for the bathroom use. Might want to bring your own towels and linens. Breakfast was proper in comparison to the rest of the hotel. Great view on the golf.

Esta bien la ubicacion para ir a la playa. La zona es linda. Para el centro algo alejado pero se puede caminar (25 minutos). El estado general es bueno. Un poco deteriorado. El estado d3l sillon adicional para huesped extra no estaba limpio, ni sabanas. La recepción es recien a las 17hs. Muy tarde

It’s a tired property that is in good need of an update/upgrade. Because its dates the era it was developed obviously didn’t care for sound proofing.
We had 3 people booked but only 2 towels (for one night we just used one of our beach towels)
The Seaview room we booked was was in need of repair so we got put in a golf view room for 6.
Good for 4 people at best as there would be two on a sofa bed but no room to put bags or sit anywhere even tight around dining table and kitchenette.

This place is horrible. Everything is old and outdated. I asked for an extra pillow for my baby not to fall off the bed and they denied my request. Very inflexible. You have to pay extra for breakfast and to use the spa. The apartments are claustrophobic. The elevator is rusty and seems like it may not make it. Don’t recommend this place for families and it is definable not a 3 star.

More like a 1 Star than the indicated 3/4 Star

This is not a 4 star, it’s not even a 3 star. Although it is across the road from the beach, the hotel is tired and dated both internally and externally with the exceptions of both pools which looked well maintained. The exterior fencing was rusty and the suite itself was like something out of the swinging 60’s. It was in need of updating, maintenance, had broken items and felt unclean. There were ants on the floor and the kitchen surface. The table and chairs belong in a museum and there were stains on the bed linen. The 1960’s lampshades were broken, the front door handle loose as if it has been tampered with and bedroom patio door did not appear to lock. We were booked in for 2 nights but we left after the first night because there was a major crime incident in our block and police forensics teams cordoned off the block. Just as well as we had decided to leave anyway. Ok if you are a workman working away but otherwise a one nighter if even that. We want our money back.

I really wished I read other reviews before I booked this hotel, but it was late and I had been driving all day.

This is possibly one of the worst hotels I have ever been to. It is not 4 stars.

We arrived at 7pm with a grunt from the receptionist who was sat in her coat ready to go. We got our keys and headed to our room. One escalator was broken, the other sounded like it was about to do the same.

The room was dire. Plug sockets hanging off walls, brooms hanging in the toilet, the bed was concave, it was dingy etc etc

We went downstairs to complain - but alas the receptionist had gone home and the shutters had been pulled down.

We left the hotel without staying and booked a room elsewhere.

This listing for this hotel is misinformation.

Looks like is under construction, started when you open the front door to get in to the lobby is damaged, the hallway to the rooms doesn't had a finish floor, but i think is the way it is. The photos you show in the app is nothing similar to this place. Very disappointed because i trust in this app for all my vacations times, but now i feel.insecure to trust evey i see in this app.

Great location, nice views of the sea / golf course / pool, parking included and clean bedding. That’s the positives…..

I have stayed in hostels in better condition. Really run down, poorly equipped small room (we had the family room with 2 bunk beds) no air con or fan, corridor outside the room smelt unpleasant, spa out of use, one pool had no water in. Screws in the back of the bathroom door rather than towel hangers made me smile.

Tbh I haven’t got a problem with most of the above but I do have a problem with the property marketing itself as 4 star and the pricing.

For a seaside resort, this place was terrible. Fortunately it was only for 1 night.
The hallways were dark and dingy, smelling of cigarettes and mold.
The water in the bathroom sink smelled bad too. Wifi didn't work so i had grumpy kids.
The saving grace was that the bed and bath linens were very clean.
Wouldn't return.

The accommodation was attractive due to price but overall this hotel costs you more money and stress and I would pay a higher cost elsewhere.

You will be disappointed here. Even the views from the rooms are not worth what is a hotel service that is outdated. Key issues are below:

(1) Staff unfriendly, unhelpful and lie
(2) Staff only work from 9-5 at reception
(3) Staff would not switch our room due to neighbours smoking and it going through the bathroom ventilation - she lied and said no rooms available yet there were 10 or so still available online.
(4) Internet does not work when too many people stay and half way through our stay (11 nights) it ceased to work at all
(5) You have to ask and collect yourself to get new towels etc.
(6) The plugs in the bath and sink are near blocked all the time and no one cleans it
(7) The water stopped working several times in the morning so several days we had to skip a shower
(8) Bin areas were unkept
(9) Automatic lighting in the corridors did not work

Anglet is beautiful and the hotel has a great view. We arrived at 6 PM and reception was already closed, which added stress. It was also confusing to check out as reception was still closed just before 10 AM. Otherwise we had a nice stay.

I texted the hotel the day before with no response. Upon arrival, I find a fenced hotel, requiring a code to enter. I rang the company, phoned, to no avail. Were it not for a guest to enter at that moment and there would be no way to enter and check in (the employee mentioned that the phone was out of service...!)

Hotel.com advertise this place as a 4 stars but this is false advertising it is actually only 3 stars.
The place is so run down. Shower is rusty and the grout is gone. It is now black. It is leaking everywhere. We arrived as a couple and only got one towel. We had to ask for one more. It was for a 4 nights stay. This towels wasn't replace for the duration of a 4 nights stay. The room wasn't clean for the duration of the stay.
The toilet dispenser was broken and we could've access the toilet paper. We asked reception for more but they run out of toilet paper. Thank goodness it wasn't urgent need but we had to wait 4 to 5 hours to get some replacement and it was put in the broken dispenser which we couldn't access. It was another trip to reception. Nothing was offer by hotel when we mention all of the above. The cleanliness was questionable dust everywhere but we were told it was clean as they change cleaning company. Maybe a bit more training on what are the standard of cleaniless is on a \"4 stars or 3\" Even the hallway was dirty with cotton bud lying near the lift for all our stay.
Will definitly not be back and disappointed of hotel.com advertising the place as a 4 stars which is not. This is false advertisement for your website.

Apartment was very run down - kitchen tap dangerously wobbly, front door handle hanging off inside and outside and shower did not work (bath tap connector did not switch between tap / shower). Lots of adult groups drinking with glass bottles around pool. Very expensive for the standard of apartment.

The hotel was terrible. We arrived at about 7 PM after a long trip with kids and rooms were not ready until 10PM. Once ready there are no towels or soap in the rooms. When we complained the only answer from reception was that they know but cannot do anything about it. The next morning no towels or service either. Spa area is closed an not available either. Really horrible this hotel and ruined our stay. Luckily we only had one night and left first thing in the morning without shower or being able to wash hands with soap. If you want your vacation ruined stay here, otherwise I would strongly suggest against. Now trying to get our money back.

We made a terrible decision staying here. The property is disgusting — dirty, unkept, no amenities, even the bare minimum, such as arranging the pool lounge chairs or simple paint touch-ups, is a mess. There is no interest by the property to provide even a decent experience for guests. No WiFi except when sitting by the pool, no help from the desk staff to resolve issues. We left early. This property should be one star and avoided at all costs.

Com um serviço degradante, chegada à recepção as 17:20, recebidos sem alguma empatia, foi nos dito que o apartamento estaria pronto em 30 minutos.
Jà para não falar na resposta dada acerca do lugar de parque para o carro:
\"se houver lugar muito bem, senão tem de se desenrascar!\"
Voltamos então as 18:00 e nada o apartamento estava ainda indisponivel.
Aproveitamos para ir dar uma volta e comer algo.
Voltamos por volta das 21:00 e para nosso espanto o apartamento estava ainda por arranjar.
A recepçao disse que era impossivel e então foi quando pedimos outro apartamento, que nos foi negado por nao existir o mesmo dispononivel.
Prontificaram se a arranjar o apartamento de seguida.
Eram 22:00 e ninguém fez nada, foi apenas quando voltamos à recepçao e pedimos para sermos reembolsados e que iriamos aprensentar queixa que alguém apareceu para limpar e deixar pronto o apartamento.
Sem nenhum respeito por uma familia com duas crianças que apenas queriam uma cama para se deitar, o apartamento ficou disponivel às 22:30.
Tentamos sair as 8:00 e para nosso espanto nao havia ninguem na recepçao eram 8:20 fartos de esperar, deixamos as chaves no apartamento e seguimos viagem.
Sem duvida um local a nao reservar.
Mas como nos foi dito pela recepçao a culpa é do ebookers.

In the positive side, the check-in receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. He upgraded us to a 1bed instead of the studio we booked. However it went downhill from there.
We booked a 4* apartment and got a 3* side of the building. The apartment was VERY dirty to the point we couldn’t even touch the kettle or any kitchen utensils.
We had to clean the bathroom after a 10 hour drive as it was dirty. Couldn’t put any stuff on the shelf...
My family were surprised that I have booked some place. I show them the photos and it is then I realised I have been put in the “less nice part of the hotel”. This could have been disappointing but there is not excuse for the lack of hygiene.

I can’t recommend it.

The \"free parking\" was first-come-first-serve and there were not enough spots for all the cars. we had to park on the street. Breakfast felt similarly a little survival-of-the-fittest.

I wouldn't have been bothered by any of this at a lower price point, but frankly for 200e / night I didn't expect these hassles.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in

This hotel is awful, and claims to have 4 stars.

It is over priced, the sea view (which I paid extra for), could only be seen if you were over 6 feet tall. The whole hotel was in need of a complete re decoration, the bunk beads were in a space that was clearly designed for a wardrobe, right next to the entrance door, with the top bunk having easy access to the electrical fuse box, ideal for kids to access.

Please review this hotel and give it the correct amount of stars on your website - I think 1 star would be generous.

The front door of our room had obviously been broken into many times due to the repairs that could be seen. The door was feeble.
The location is superb but the owners must be resting on this fact to be charge high rates.
Most of the hotel is in need of an update.

This is a Dump and a Scam

4 stars? This property does not deserve any stars. Maybe it was 4 stars 50 years ago, but nowadays it is a ruin. No internet, mold smell, one small, shabby elevator (the other one did not work), charging a lot for the breakfast (required to be purchased at check-in). Everything is old and dirty, some doors have holes plugged with insulation. Nobody at the reception in the morning, had to ask other guest to find out that the keys need to be left in the room. The bedroom was so small that was impossible to walk in between the foot of the bed and the wall. Don't get tempted by the ratio price/stars, it is false.

Disappointed at first as booked sea view and we were on ground floor and could only see the sea when standing. Apartment small. A word of warning for Brits- there is no kettle! Microwave only for cooking, plus hob.
Biarritz within walking distance and beach at Anglet nearby, but expect steep hills to climb.

The location of the property is amazing, just across the road from the beautiful Anglet beaches, and a short walk into the centre of Biarritz. The resort however is in terrible condition. Parts of the wall, tiles and general room were literally falling apart. I definitely would not consider this a 4 star property, for which I would expect a bit better general condition. The wifi access in our room dropped out halfway through our stay and none of the staff seemed to care, instead suggesting we sit in reception to use it. It is scruffy, cramped, dated but you can overlook that for a short stay while enjoying a sunset from your balcony. The price reflected the condition to a certain extent as well.

The hotel is easy to find, and parking is secure at no additional cost. Receptionist was very helpful and spoke English. We reserved an apartment room...no: 34.
Bedroom area is small and no room to walk around the bed. There is a shelf on the wall...strategically placed for banging one's head.
The apartment is self catering but the cooker hob was not operational.
There was a sofa bed in the lounge/ diner area...filthy in appearance.
Toilet is tiny, separate from the shower room. The toilet has the boiler positioned above it. The flush was not working well, and there was a hint if urine. There is no extractor fan.
The shower room is adequate in size, and two sets of towels but shower gel packets are teaspoon size. Lighting was poor because one of the bulbs was non operational.
The internet does not function unless you are sitting in the hotel lobby.

Too much money for the quality of this hotel

Buildings (2) don't look good at all, needs maintenance, cleaning and painting.
Inside of unit was actually much better than expected by looking to the outside.
We lost appetite to try food, pool and anything else at the hotel.
Now Biarritz is extremely beautiful and this second experience with this hotel will
not deter us to travel again to that beautiful town. So we will back in 2 weeks to
visit this city.

Room with a view

Located overlooking Anglet beaches with fabulous view of the sunset from the front of the hotel, but also peaceful and verdant fields of the golf course at the rear. Great place to stay if you are happy with mediocre room maintenance. Clean but generally in need of a face lift and minimum staff availability.

Do NOT book!!

Do NOT book this hotel. It is advertised as a 4* residence but I wouldn't even give it 1*!! Nothing that hotels.com advertises about this establishment is true. Cupboard doors are falling off, live electrical wires exposed which is a major hazard for young children especially, the bathroom filthy and when you go to the toilet you bump your head on the hot water service positioned directly above. When we complained, the management were extremely rude, unhelpful and continually contradicted themselves. You are better off sleeping on the beach opposite and saving yourself the money. By far the worst hotel we have ever stayed at in France and we will not be using hotels.com again as they have clearly falsely advertised this hotel and charged a ridiculous amount of money for our stay. It says it is self catering but you have to ask for a toaster and kettle which was subsequently thrown at us by management. There is no shuttle bus, kids club and the pool is freezing and in need of upgrading like the rest of the dump. If we could have walked out we would have but unfortunately all other accommodation was fully booked and we had two young children who couldn't sleep on the beach. A true disappointment!!

WIFI was not connected at all in separate buildings... It should ve omproved. It is not a hotel, but for long stay appartment so that room cleaning service is not available every day. In addition, during high season, it is difficult to find parking space when you arrive late.

Nice Family Hotel - Great Value

Great location with access to lovey seafront promenade. Room was clean and well appointed. A little dated in some of the furnishings but overall a great value. Our kids loved the pool.

Over priced and antiquated. Not worth the $.

The condition of the hotel is very old. The heating system was very poor, antiquated and did not work. The room was SO COLD, and the staff did not provide an alternate radiator. The bed is not comfortable, the bedding old. The wifi only worked when the “stars aligned”, otherwise you must go outside next to the lobby to get a signal. Very, very poor. The good thing is the location: it’s next to the ocean and easy access to Biarritz. Otherwise, the place very over priced! I would not recommend.

Beware rocks in car park !

A large rock placed in the car park and invisible when seated in the car nearly brought our holiday to an end when I mounted it in my 4x4. I pointed out that low rocks in car parks was not a sensible thing. The staff were sympathetic and fortunately no damage was done. A leak in the bathroom of one of our 2 rooms was clearly known about but no one seemed interested. The position over looking the sea is great and there is a bakery 1 km away. Good value for the price

Great location

Great location, just across from the beach at Anglet, and a short walk to the main Hun of Biarritz. This is an older hotel, however the room was clean, and having the kitchen facilities was handy. Would definitely stay here again.
