This is a very small hotel. We had a lovely room. The staff were all very helpful with supplies that were missing from our room. They helped us with restaurant suggestions and reservations. The hotel is right in town, minutes to everywhere. We did not have the breakfast, as 18 euros for what was offered seemed high compared to other hotels.

A wonderful stay at Villa Koegui! The staff were brilliant and so kind and attentive. The location in Biarritz was ideal; everything was within walking distance and only a short taxi ride from Biarritz airport. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and extremely clean. Great place to stay, staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms nice and clean and also serviced daily.

Location is ideal, only a couple of minutes walk from the main part of the town, whilst being very quiet at night for a good nights sleep.

Really can’t fault this hotel at all! We hope to stay again in the future.

Great location, however vehicle parking is not very convenient and with the one way streets, it is difficult to access the hotel from the parkade.

I recently stayed at Villa Koegui and found the experience disappointing, especially considering its four-star rating. Based on the standards of other four-star hotels in town, Villa Koegui falls short in several areas.
The pro was the quiet street, clean, good location.
We booked a superior room, which is the middle option offered. The decor was minimal and reminiscent of an IKEA showroom, lacking the charm or warmth I expected. The room was also quite small, which made it feel cramped and less comfortable than anticipated.
One of the most glaring issues was the lack of amenities. There were no bathrobes or slippers, which are typically standard in a four-star hotel. Additionally, the hotel only offers a small interior courtyard, which does not add much to the overall experience. The internet was another significant problem; it was often not working, and when it did, the connection was painfully slow.
As a VIP guest, I anticipated some added perks, but this aspect of the stay was also underwhelming. We were not offered a room upgrade, and the complimentary bottle of wine turned out to be just a small airplane-sized bottle, barely enough for a single glass. This stinginess seems to encapsulate the overall experience at Villa Koegui.

Overall, Villa Koegui did not meet the expectations set by its four-star status. The lack of amenities, subpar room quality, and disappointing VIP perks make it difficult to recommend this hotel compared to others in the area.

PROs: Perfectly located, pleasant staff, well equipped, comfortable small hotel with a nice lounge and outdoor area. Very cosy!

CONS: Rooms can get quite tiny for 4*, good enough for one person but corridor floors and walls need maintenance.
You are entering via staircase with polished aluminum edge (safety?) - watch out in rain!

This is a lovely little hotel within walking distance of the beach and all the restaurants and cafes. The woman in charge is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the aircon and showers are superb. The only downside to our stay was that the wifi never worked for the entire 3 days we were there. We were told that was because 'the internet in Biarritz is poor', with a gallic shrug. But for over £200 a night we'd hoped for a bit more than this. Breakfasts seemed a bit steep - 17 euros per person for a continental breakfast consisting of bread and cheese - so we opted to go to a cafe on the street. Nevertheless, this was a very nice place to stay an I'd recommend it, so long as you don't need the internet.

Location was perfect, however I will not be back nor would I recommend this place. This is not a comfortable place to relax, if you want to be about Biarritz all day & night then perfect, however if you would prefer to sit and relax this is not the place.

A real hidden gem!!

Our stay at Hotel Koegui was fantastic. The hotel itself was very clean and modern and the location was absolutely perfect on a quiet street just round the corner from the main shopping street and close to all the cafés and restaurants. We had a very warm welcome from Julia on arrival, all of the staff at the Koegui were so friendly and keen to help with any questions we had. We had a lovely stay in Biarritz and we’ll definitely be back to stay at Hotel Koegui next time.

Pros: convenient location in the city center. Close to restaurants and attractions. Parking garage less than 150m from the hotel. Room very clean. No noise from other rooms.

Cons: Wi-Fi is a disaster. Need to register with phone number and then wait for a passcode by text. Every time you get off a device, you have to enter the long passcode again. Half the time it did not work. We ended up using our data instead.
Bathroom: no door on the bathroom. Just a glass door to the toilet stall. Very weird. If one person goes to the bathroom during the night, the bathroom light brightens up the entire room and wakes everyone.
No extra blanket in closet which is standard equipment in other places.

Perfect choice for Biarritz

This hotel is perfectly situated on a narrow (quiet!) street just a two block walk to the Grand Plage, high end shopping and aquarium. Stylish decor, wonderful staff. Anais who booked us in gave great info on parking, let us choose our room between two available and made us feel very welcomed. After two days stay it was Sandra who looked after us as we got ready to leave and really went out of her way to make sure we felt taken care of. These two could run classes on hospitality! Room & bedding were comfortable, great shower, liked the separate WC, and out room faced the hotels internal zen garden so totally quiet at night. That internal garden and the nice lounge area on the street level are both inviting and pleasant. All in all a well designed, perfectly located and outstanding staffed hotel! Def will be my choice in future.

Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen. Innert weniger Minuten ist man an allen wichtigen Hotspots wie Beach, Shopping, Food oder Markt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und vielfältig. Jeden Morgen gab es frischen Kuchen. Das Zimmer war eng, aber sauber und einladend. Die WLAN-Stärke ist zu optimieren. Es ist ärgerlich, wenn man ständig aus dem Netz fliegt.
Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden dieses Hotel wieder wählen.

We enjoyed our stay in the middle of town. The bed was a bit hard to my liking, but the room was quiet for a small hotel. Just keep in mind that this place does not have 24 hours front desk if it is important. No parking unless you score a street space, and make sure you reserve with the hotel for parking that is 5 minutes walk which will save you a few dollars and in/out privileges. We elected not to have breakfast, but the dining and sitting room looked cozy.

A great hotel

I could not fault the hotel, it was clean and comfortable. The interior was just what you would expect from a boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Once we had learn't the back routes around Biarritz it was also in a convenient position. I would go again.

Very nice hotel close to the centre and convenient for walking through Biarritz. Our room was in the loft area and was stylish and comfortable, but the en-suite area was small, compensated by a super rain soaker shower!. Very nice staff so we enjoyed our stay. Limited parking, we used the public garage a few metres from the hotel.

We decided late in our trip to Europe to visit Biarritz and were fortunate to find availability at Villa Koegui. Our room was very clean, cozy and comfortable. The location is fantastic and with short walk to the market and beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The library in the reception area has a great collection of books to browse. We wish we could have stayed here longer and highly recommend to anyone visiting Biarritz.

Friendly helpful staff made the stay a very enjoyable one with great recommendations. Came for one night essentially day trip. The room was small but functional. Good shower and water pressure but no shower screen so floor and timber door get wet. Comfortable bed, good air con and quiet area. Supplied mobile phone may be of value to some but I had bought a SIM card so didn't use it. Nice bookish lobby area.

Hotel is lovely, in a good location. Nice, clean rooms. The 2 ladies at the hotel could not have been more helpful or enthusiastic if the tried. Unfortunately the air con wasn’t working whilst we were there but the staff gave us breakfast as compensation, which was very nice of them. Only thing I could fault was the WiFi which constantly dropped out.

Comfortable, moder hotel, close to everything. No on site parking, but there is a large public garage around 30 meters from the hotel.

Our room had a separate sitting area and a pleasant outdoor terrace.

Breakfast had a very good variety with excellent quality. If in the area I would again stay at Villa Koegui.

Hotel is in a nice area of town, just a few blocks removed from the main attractions. Definitely walkable to main shops and restaurants. Of note, there is [[NO free parking]]. There is a nearby parking paid parking structure -- 13 euros a day, which is pretty cheap. The decor of the hotel is very modern. The front-desk recommended we eat at a nearby restaurant called los dos hermanos, which was an awesome restaurant. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel was really pleasant and the staff helpful. We did not try the breakfast, so we do not have an opinion on this point. The only complain would be the room layout: A good portion of the space is taken by a \"hallway\" leading to the bath room, so when our two regular suitcases were opened and laying on the floor, it felt a little bit cramped.

The first three nights we were in the suite and it was great - lots of room - with courtyard and lounge
The breakfast was really well priced and very generous
the hotel is so close to the centre of town but without being in the middle if all the August mayhem.
The last night we were just in a \"lux\" room which was very disappointing- expensive for a room you could barely walk around.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful and friendly- and had good English.

The design is excellent with a stylish and relaxing and attractive shared area around the lobby (a patio, library, breakfast area). The service was great, our host booked a recommended restaurant for us. The room was well designed and clean and well appointed, and everything functioned flawlessly including fast wifi. Would highly recommend this place.

Parking was not included, but two reasonable parking buildings are nearby (10-15 euros). We luckily found street parking directly outside which cost 4 euros for 3 hours, and only charged 9am till 7pm.

Great window onto the sky. The bed was comfortable. Plastic furniture was very suitable given the beach activities.

Service was great, though extra towels and toiletries might have been nice. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating and spoke very good English.

Town Center and an easy walk to everywhere in Biarritz.

Protip: don't open the sink tap full blast.

Overall would highly recommend.

The woman at the front desk was really nice and went out of her way to be helpful, making reservations, etc. The hotel was well located, an easy walk to the beach and all of downtown Biarritz and very close to the bus to Bayonne. The one hiccup was that the very awesome rain shower flooded the bathroom. All said, I'd recommend the hotel and consider staying there again.

Amazing hotel, one of the best

My Mother and I were blown away by this little gem in Biarritz. I agonized over which hotel to book but ultimately we liked the modern look of the rooms. We made the best choice - its clean, modern, fresh, and has the warmest and most helpful staff. We moved to a larger room after 2 nights to have more space which was not a problem. If we needed more towels or assistance with anything it was provided within 5 minutes. Breakfast was served starting at 7:30 every morning, and you could have light: coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt or heavy: eggs, an omelet and ham if you wanted something more substantial. They even had gluten free baguette which they toasted for us with our meal! From one morning to the next the women working at the front desk knew who we were and were aware of our dietary restrictions. The hotel rooms are minimalist and very clean, and the hotel provides large beach towels if you want to go for a swim or surf. The street was quiet and we slept soundly overlooking the beautiful lush courtyard, also the hotel is basically in the center of downtown, 5 minutes from Les Halles (the incredible market) and minutes from shops, restaurants, and the beach. I loved Biarritz and will stay at this hotel next time I'm there! Thank you to the hotel for blowing my expectations out of the water.

Home from home.

Made to feel welcome. Rooms modern, very clean, Air con. Beds large and comfortable. Hotel centrally situated and staff had good knowledge of surroundings. Good value for money. Only meal served was breakfast but many excellent restaurants in surrounding area. 10 minute walk from miles of excellent beaches.

Great hotel in Biarritz, perfect for couples

Perfect place to stay in Biarritz. Staff led by Clarisse are very friendly and helpful with all needs during your stay including restauraunt and bar recommendations and booking. Great location, pleasant rooms. Recommend taking the breakfast in the courtyard, very nice!
