Nice hotel. I found it quiet and well cared for. The AC in our room struggled to keep it cool but if we kept all the doors closed and the shutters closed, it helped. Nice amenities in the room and the beds were comfortable. You can tell the hotel is a bit dated but still nice. Pricey for what it is but definitely good location.

Excellent location, we stayed here based on the parking. Went to the market opposite for breakfast everyday which was great. Downstairs in the hotel is beautiful, the rooms aren’t bad but not the same level of refurbishment, some quirks like not enough plug sockets so the coffee machine only works with the lights on. Not a bad room, just not the same soho house vibe as downstairs. Some pretty rude interactions with staff, being ignored at the bar for example, and the only person who offered to help with bags was the cleaner. Some helpful sorts there too. Would stay again if I couldn’t find anywhere else with parking in area

Luxury in the perfect Biarritz location

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Biarritz. Really friendly helpful staff.
While the standard room is a little small, if 2 people chose to unpack at the same moment it was very well equipped with a large bathroom, great shower and Dyson hairdryer.
The hotel building is beautiful and well maintained. Rooms were very clean.
Throughout our stay the stay were courteous, professional and friendly. The girl on check in particularly stood our with her welcoming smile and personality. First class.
Would recommend and return next time in Biarritz

This is very nice hotel, located right Rue Gambetta across the market (right in the middle of Biarritz centre). It is quiet and comfortable, and as suggested, close to all the main attractions in Biarritz. It is 10 min walk from both Grand Plage and Plage des Vasques. Pretty good deal for the money. If you go with family, however, note that the shower is \"open\", no doors, so you may need to plan the shower time of adults when children are around.

A really beautiful hotel in the centre of Biarritz, just next to the food market and its surrounding restaurants but also less than 5 min walk from the beach front. Despite its central location it is increadly quiet (room soundproofing was amazing) and the back garden is very enjoyable. The room was very spacious and very stylishly decorated. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent. Parking at back of the hotel is added bonus in a city where parking is challenging. All in all, we had an amazing stay and adored this place.

We cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The location is perfect - right in the middle of town, a close walk to everything, including the ocean. But the room was so comfortable and quiet! The staff was delightful and friendly. This is a great value for what you get. We stayed in Room 201 which had a private terrace. The best!

The entire hotel is beautiful, the staff welcoming and the back-garden a lovely addition.
The room we had #3, however, was very small and very dark. The only window opened onto a small light well, providing very little light. This is considered a Standard room to the same extent as others which are much bigger and brighter. For the price, the room was disappointing.
The cleanliness and comfort of the room however was perfect.

Great location (best part of town, close to beach, shopping and restaurants) + friendly staff. The garden is very charming and there is parking on site. The rooms are in need of an update but they are in good shape and clean. Our room had a tiny unusable living room and no door to the shower (open to the bedroom). Be aware only a few rooms have balconies. Overall a great property.

Stylish Biarritz hotel

We were only in Biarritz for one night and stayed at Hotel Silhouette. Absolutely loved the hotel and wished our travel plans allowed us to stay longer. The hotel is in a fantastic central location just steps to the market, shops, bars and restaurants. Our room was spacious, stylish, and very clean with a charming patio. We didn’t have breakfast other than coffee but the spread looked great! The coffee was some of the best we had in France. Highly recommend!

Hotel De Silhouette in Biarritz is a very nice small boutique hotel in a fantastic location. There's lots of shopping, bars, and restaurants in the area, and the beach is only a short (~10 minute) walk. The suite we stayed in was very spacious for Europe/France. It's a great place to stay.

We arrived at hotel du silhouette and we were immediately asked if we wished to upgrade our room. I personally felt that the receptionist was a wee bit pushy but she was pleasant when we said no unless the price was reduced to 20 euros a night. The upgrade started at 40 euros and then went to 30 euros.
The bedroom was clean however the toilet was not... I did not complaint but cleaned it myself and told the receptionist about it the following day. The room was very spacious and I personally liked the toilet being in its own separate room.
The buffet breakfast at 15 euros each was well worth eating as we enjoy coffee and had two or three pots per sitting.
The main reason we picked hotel du silhouette was due to the parking as most hotels in the area do not at 15 euros day it was expensive but well worth paying for.
The staff were all pleasant and nice and we really enjoyed meeting the owner one morning whilst we were having breakfast.
The location was very good centre to shopping and close to the beaches and across the road from a supermarket where we picked up fruit for lunch.The beach towels at reception were very handy and there were umbrellas at reception you could use as well.
Wi-fi was good, bed could have been a little more comfortable for us, toiletries were lovely. Iron and board were available on request.
A pleasant stay.

Nice hotel about 10 minutes walk to beach but in a lively area with lots of good restaurants nearby. Don’t go to Chisteras and Coquillages though which they recommend. Overpriced and touristy. There’s a pintxos place next door (Pero and something) that’s excellent. Hotel staff is excelllent. Very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast cafe next to hotel (Corner Silhouette) is also great.

This is a delightful hotel hidden away in a busy bustling street. It has a lovely \"secret\" garden which hosted a Jazz evening on our first night. We hadn't intended on eating there but were very glad we did as it was a great atmosphere.
The staff were all very friendly especially on reception. Our room was very quiet and clean.Being able to park our car st the back was an added bonus. It was our 10th visit to Biarritz and we never knew it existed!

Perfectly located hotel in Biarritz

Location of this hotel is the absolute selling point. It is located right in the centre of town, on a street popular for local restaurants and bars. It's a ten minute walk to the surfing beach and other two beaches in Biarritz.

The hotel isn't anything too special. Our room on the ground floor lacked any natural light and the staff in the hotel were not as attentive as would normally be expected from a 4* hotel (there usually wasn't someone at the front desk and we lacked the usual toiletries in our bathroom and on one day we were left with no towels in our bathroom).

For the price, it was good value given the excellent location, but overall a basic 4* hotel.

We absolutely loved staying here. The hotel is perfectly located right in the center of town, though off the main street so remains quiet! We slept like babies, the room was so comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The on site parking made things extremely easy for us, as we took several day trips around Basque Country. No question we would come back here.

Perfect location to see Biarritz

We choose this hotel to celebrate our 30th anniversary as it's located in the heart of Biarritz. It was perfect for seeing the sights, the beach, was close to many restaurants and right opposite the daily market. We paid for a deluxe room with balcony, which was smaller than expected but clean, warm and had a fantastic shower. The staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations and places to go.

This hotel was in a great spot, close to beach, cafes and shopping areas with a supermarket directly across the road!
It was the usual European hotel, small room and extra small bathroom. Hotel grounds were pleasant with a grasses outdoor area. Overall a lovely small hotel (20 rooms)
My only complaint was that we were told that we could have an upgrade - at a hefty 50 euro, if we'd like- other hotels have given us upgrades along the way at no extra cost !

The hotel is in a lovely building roughly 5-10 mins walk from the beach, directly opposite the excellent covered food market. There are plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel, it's a nice area. We stayed in room 5 on the ground floor, it faced the front of the building rather than the garden but did have a semi-private courtyard and was protected from the noise of the road by the wall around the property. The furnishings were modern but comfortable. We were offered the opportunity to upgrade but at a cost - I think this is the first time I have ever been offered an upgrade which was not free. We declined and our room was fine. Service was good throughout.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The location, the personal/ friendly greeting, the clean bright atmosphere, the artwork is sensational. All good vibes! Great little quiet retreat in a bustling seaside town. Next time , I would ask for a room facing the garden! My room faced the front of the hotel. The hotel is set back far enough from the street and has great shutters on the windows to block the noise from the party folks on the street, but I think it would have enhanced my stay more to stay facing the beautiful gardens. (Great, yummy figs to pick from the tree in the garden. Thanks.)

This is such a lovely small hotel, situated in a great location set just back on one of the busy streets in Biarritz. It is right next to all the shops, bars & restaurants and the beach is just a short walk away. The daily market situated just across the road is full of really fresh produce and you can also sit for a coffee and a snack or a glass of wine if you prefer. Even though it is so close to everything it is not noisy.

Brilliant Boutique Hotel In Biarritz

We arrived weary & travel-spent from Australia , but were refreshed by the friendly , helpful, professional staff who greeted us by name. Our room was clean & comfortable , & the grounds were a delightful surprise , & a haven on hot days & nights. The lunch menu was varied , regional & had excellent wine options for matching. The standout for the entire time we had at this hotel was the level of friendliness of all staff at all times. We were genuinely reluctant to leave this wonderful haven in Biarritz.

Ok hotel. But we got standard room, which was very expensive, and got a view of the wall outside. When asked to get another room with at least daylight view, we were told it would be $50 extra per night. It was off season and the hotel was not anywhere near full. It would have been nice to be able to at least see the weather outside instead of a wall.

A perfect spot in Biarritz

The Hotel is a beautiful old building with a pleasant garden and small car park, it has been completely modernised to a high standard; decoration is very contemporary. No sea view but only 5 mins walk from the beach. The hotel is directly opposite Biarritz's lovely market and surrrounded by great bars, cafes and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly indeed. Highly recommended.

Great Enclave in the midst of hopping beach town

Second time there - we love it. It's like an oasis in the middle of this bustling village. A great courtyard (no one has yards or hang out areas in this area) that they have entertainment in the evenings and perfect dining area.

Cool history to the story of monsieur Silhouette (where the actual word comes from)...it was his estate and staying in family centuries. Really well done on modernization. Ask for room facing courtyard if you like to sleep with window open - street side is set back but traffic noise is audible.

Con's:
- Food is great but repetitive - no variance. Breakfast in Europe tends to be that way anyways - but dinner menu is limited to a couple items that were the same the entire week - but you'll be eating out anyways as you explore all the great food in the area so for one or two dinners it is great.
- I have to function for work when I travel. The internet here is not good - I lost a major business call I had planned on Skype and it was not good for me (or my state of mind trying to relax on vacation). System is slow and or drops completely on a regular basis.
- first time there is brutal to find. The GPS on rental car doesn't give accurate location of the hotel. REALLY hard last year to find - but we got it dialed now!

We will be back and hoping they work on the internet so we can stay longer knowing we can function on the road!

Excellent - great beds, good sheets, very well appointed rooms (clever lighting, good furniture, well-thought out features including Bose iPhone speaker docks), great bathrooms with terrific showers. Everything in Biarritz is to hand and the witty concierge's recommendations were bang-on for restaurants. Hugely enjoyed our two-night stay. Next time in Biarritz, this is where we'll return.

Great for a one night stopover.

Extremely nice Hotel and very nice ,helpful staff.
Breakfast was rather meagre and expensive at 18 euros each.
However we would stay again.

Everything was fantastic from the welcome coffee in the garden with the sheep who did not move and ate the same piece of grass for the whole 3 days.walking distance to the beach old fort ,casino supermarket across the road for all your extra needs. Lots of shops and delis to try out all the delicious food. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. My stay wasn't long enough in this delightful hotel. Will go back for longer next time.
