The hotel is charming and located in an excellent part of town, with transit to the airport just outside the door. The rooms are modern and comfortable, and the hotel is very clean. The staff is lovely!! Silvie at the front desk was always warm, friendly and very helpful!!! There are nearby restaurants and a nice bakery, but the central part of town is just a short walk! The WiFi worked well. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

Don't advertise parking if you can't provide it

Being part of a 2,000 mile road trip we picked this hotel because it provided parking facilities for €20 per night. I was sent a pre-check in questionnaire which I duly filled in ahead of time, part of which was my request for a parking space close to reception as I have a painful back issue (slipped disc). However, upon arrival I was promptly told that there were no parking spaces available, despite the hotel offering spaces and my request for said parking. At no point prior to check in was I informed that there were no parking spaces available, instead I was told I could park in the pay and display areas around the hotel but these were prohibitively expensive and therefore out of the question. I was then left to try and find alternative parking elsewhere and ended up a twenty minute walk from the hotel. A poor show that tainted an otherwise excellent trip..

The moment we arrived, the lady on reception was incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful, and this level of service continued from all staff until we checked out. Great decor throughout the hotel and it was very conveniently located so we could walk to restaurants and bars. We would definitely stay here again.

I loved the hotel and location. The room was nice and clean. I was not very happy with the staff when it came to helping with parking information. We arrived at about 9pm after driving for about 10 hours and the gentleman at the reception said that the parking was completely full. I asked him where we could park and he did not know. Finally, we were lucky enough to find parking on the street which was free until 9am. He stated that parking was free from 9-10am. After that we needed to put money in the meter. Next morning a female was in the reception area and I asked her if there was any parking available since many people leave early, she also said no. I asked her about parking and she said she did not know you would think that the hotel would know where to refer their clients if they do not have parking. Finally, we found parking on our own, very inexpensive and around the corner from the hotel. The parking that we had used the previous night not only they charged for the 9-10am parking but they were asking for 35 euros for 2.5 hours. Ridiculous!

The staff was amazing & went out of their way. The location is perfect. The room was very small & beds not so comfortable. Could use updating. There was no electrical outlet on my side of the bed so I had to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed to plug in my CPAP machine.

This hotel is only a short walk from Grande Plage but in a nice quiet location. We were there in a heatwave but the air conditioning kept us cool and comfortable. A selection of teas were provided in the room.

The property is several blocks away from the beach. A good compromise between cost and convenience. I prefer breakfast included. I had it on my last day, for 12 Euros. It's close to main bus station, the Marie. A good, not great, choice

Amazing location a very short walk to the promenade. Friendly and helpful staff. The room we were given was clean and well maintained however it was a very small room and the bed was slanted to fit. Getting around the bed was a challenge. In another room I would have rated higher. Great that you can park on the street for free !

Only speak French. Very bad service. We made a 2 bed reservation, but there was only one bed. And they didnt want to help us with another bed, so I had to buy a mattres myself and put it in The room. Worst service ever. Also no Parking.

exceptional hotel for the price paid

We couldn’t fault the hotel. The staff were super. They arranged for a kettle in the room with tea and coffee and each day we were given fresh milk. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was good as it was it a quite area - st Charles away from the noisy town centre but close enough to walk in. The grand Plage was only 10 min walk away.

Although the staff were nice, the comfort level was lacking. The rooms are not soundproofed and noisy travelers inside and outside the hotel can be heard at all hours, particularly when doors are slamming shut. There are also loud random electrical noises within the room itself. I slept very little on a 2 night stay and this has impacted the rest of my trip.

The staff at this hotel were exceptional. Every single person we talked to was so helpful and kind. It made you feel very welcome. A coffee pot in the room would make our stay perfect. 4 Euros for a
tiny coffee that you had to go downstairs for was a bit excessive. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. I ate breakfast one of the days when I went downstairs for coffee because of the variety of healthy options... even though I never usually eat breakfast. I would definitely stay here again but would bring sometype of instant coffee in the morning. Oh and the toilet seat moved around a bit when you sat down. LOL I bet they fixed that though as I let them know for the next visitors. Thank you!!

A very mixed experience. Friendly, helpful reception staff,a very clean, small but comfortable room...
But no sign of any management influence at all:
Secure car park but coded door to it left propped open,
Breakfast on the single visit we made was simply a joke;
I think a tour group had just left, but no planning at all for this resulted in:
No cups, cutlery, fruit juice, almost no pastries and several guests wondering what was going on. One staff member eventually went out to buy croissants, but all the crockery etc emerged slowly piece by piece from the dishwasher. Very relaxed attitude by the staff throughout, with no sign of any urgence - clearly not their fault, they felt
À manager or new manager is required with some planning ability.
A pity as we loved the Escale hôtel In St Malo - this is not in the same class.

Good but not great hotel except for ocean access

1st room smelled so badly we requested a different room. That room was fine except small. No coffee machine or shower articles no refrigerator WiFi was fine. The hotel has easy access to the ocean casino and restaurants and shops. Town is hilly with not great signage. The hotel maps were very helpful. They did arrange for a taxi when we asked.

Budget hotel near town centre

The room was very small and basic but clean. The decor a bit tired. It would have been nicer if the walls were painted white though. The bathroom was quite new with just a shower.

We had breakfast it was a good choice for a budget hotel and good quality.

The staff were very helpful and kind when we had a mini crisis. The manageress and the lovely girl on reception should get a special mention.

Road works ruined or stay

Neither expedia or the hotel told us about the road works. I am asthmatic and If we had known that there were highly disruptive, noisy works right outside the hotel we would not have booked. Despite closing the windows, the cement dust was all over the room. I had to regularly use my emergency inhaler. And just to rub it in, the room rate quoted by the hotel was significantly less than Expedia. We had booked to include breakfast but were told the next day that breakfast was not included. The air conditioning was not switched on until day 5 of our visit. My complaint is that Expedia or the hotel should have advised us about the disruptive road works. We want our money back! Good location. Great for the bus stop from airport, to the beach and the shops. Rooms have space for fridge and kettle. But, none is available. Left my luggage as had late flight. But, came back to find reception was unattended and I was a to take my luggage. Second floor felt like it needed airing.

Centrally located so we could easily get the bus to the train station or Bayonne. Only a few minutes walk to good restaurants and bars and 5 minutes walk to the Grand Plage beach. Around a 10-15 minute walk takes you to Anglet. Staff were very helpful and very friendly, I would recommend to anyone looking for a central hotel at an affordable price. Parking is at a premium, so be prepared to pay around 15 euros a night to park at the hotel.

First time in Biarritz, which is hugely characterful, classy and mixed from sprightly swimming old folk to surf dudes.

This is a 1970s style hotel, recently updated (in our room with new bathroom and nice big bed), well located and with parking underneath. Rooms at the front facing the road can be a bit noisy. Our patio window had been cracked and taped up, which looked a bit unsightly.

Great hotel if you want somewhere in a relatively good location on a budget. Nothing fancy but about 5 minute walk from main beach and 10 minutes into the centre of town. Simple, clean rooms and polite staff. I would stay there again.

I wanted a comfortable hotel close to the beach and town but in a slightly quieter spot. This place fit the bill perfectly. The staff were friendly and the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was a cool. I did not avail of the breakfast so I can't comment on that but I would highly recommend this hotels as base in Biarrtiz

Nice hotel close to the beach and town - walkable to both. Staff very friendly and room lovely and clean. One bonus was the air conditioning as there was a mini heat wave while we were there. Would recommend.
