Hotel was super convenient. Room was amazing with huge windows and view of lighthouse. Something to note, there is a window in bathroom open to the main room so not ideal for groups or friends.

No air conditioning available and it was quite warm. The only way to get air was to open the windows, which required opening the curtains as well, so at night all the light and noise from the parking lot came into the room. See photos.
My room was not serviced, even though Housekeeping came by at 14.10 while I was on the phone and said they would come back in 30 minutes. I spent the entire afternoon and evening out of my room so I wouldn’t get in their way, and was disappointed to find nothing had been done.
The key sensor on my door was iffy. When I asked Reception to try a new card to make sure the key itself wasn’t the problem, they implied it was my own fault, that they had just adjusted the doors. Even a passing maintenance man was unable to let me in with his passkey (my key worked eventually). This may be why my room wasn’t serviced, but no one told me.
In all I was quite disappointed. This is a wonderful location, but the clientele is not considered.

Lovely staff but a horrifically overpriced breakfast and tired rooms. €40 for a self serve machine coffee & a sachet of bought in museli, for two. Not even a waiter in sight.

The room was quite small for the price... I paid for an upgrade... was not worth it. The view was awseome. The bed was small but comfortable. There was a funky smell in the room like backed up sewage pipes. Parking is offsite but next to hotel... paid €19 for the day.

Nice hotel in excellent location for visiting tourist attractions in Biarritz. Close to shops, beaches, old port and many bars and restaurants. Hotel itself does not have a restaurant or bar, but this is not much of a problem as there are plenty of options in the immediate area. Breakfast is adequate with reasonable selection of cold and hot food choices. Superior rooms offer view of the sea and lighthouse, although not sure if this is really worth the premium. A/c unit very powerful, so no problem with the hot weather. Public car park next door where it was quite easy to find spaces, even for a large car. Parking is charged by the hour but capped at €19 per day. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Would happily return here if we were visiting Biarritz again.

This hotel is in a great location and is easy to access for a disabled person. The only down side is that in the twin room the beds are high and tiny!! Hardly relaxing when you go to turn over and fall out of the bed every time!!

Hotel was pleasantly better than we expected for the price. The room was bigger than expected - a lot of french hotel rooms are tiny so if they are described as small on the website this can be a worry. Very modern, crisp and clean. We stayed on 4th floor accessed via elevator. Location was ideal and close to all amenities.
Aircon is not available off season - which was a pity as it was quite warm outside - 27degrees. We had to leave the bedroom window open which meant there was traffic noise as our room was at the front.
Tea & Coffee making facilities were basic - 2 paper cups provided and tea supplies not replenished on day 2.

The hotel was ok, however, the toilet and bathroom are two units and while the bathroom is ok, the toilet in our room was extremely small and no working ventilation. You have to back in to the toilet and I would say that the toilet on an aeroplane is bigger. I did not find the reception staff friendly in any way however the girls cleaning the room were friendly. The location is very convenient and is less than five minutes from the beautiful beach. I would give it a five out of 10.

Set in the heart of the town well within walking distance for nearly all of attractions. Biarritz is a very clean and tidy town which the locals take pride in. Being in a central location it can be slightly noisy in the early hours of the morning during weekends.

Hotel looked good but the room was tiny. Beds were so small I almost fell off every time I shuffled. It was extremely hot in the room and attendant said she can't put the air on until June. So I was very uncomfortable. They also charged me extra when I was leaving for taxes and for breakfast. I was not mentioned any of this prior to me leaving

We booked this hotel to spend 5 days of relaxation following a two week walk in the Pyrenees. Everything was as we expected. Great location close to beach, shopping and restaurants/markets. Ocean views from the room. Very quiet rooms. GreaT breakfast room and menu. Efficient, friendly and helpful staff.

Our room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Bright and airy with crisp linen. Bathroom with hand basin and shower was separate from the WC. Check in/out was fast and efficient although the staff were quite gruff at times. Breakfast was not included in our package but we were told that it costs €18 per person. The location of the hotel is fantastic, slap bang in the middle of everything. A street away from the casino and the beach and across from Galleries Lafayette and lots of other shops. It was a pity that the hotel didn't have a bar, I always like to come back to my hotel to have a night cap. I would stay here's again without hesitation though due to its location and the price.

First time staying at this hotel. The room was just as pictured, bed was comfortable, good shower, decor is bright and lively, staff was courteous and efficient. Only little annoyance, the parking. It is located under the hotel which is convenient, but it does not belong to the hotel and they do not validate, so plan on spending about 15 Euros a night. Parking is clean, well lit and safe.
Hotel location is absolutely great. Walking distance from beach (2mn) and restaurants. We had a room facing the interior, not great view but complete silence. If you plan on staying in your room, you may want a front facing room, high floor and you will have a ocean view but beware of the noise...

Good place for our one night stopover enroute between UK and Spain. Parking (like many city centre hotels) was expensive but given location near beach, bars and restaurants, you really can't complain. Breakfast a little expensive but plenty of cafes around for coffee and croissant!

We were greeted by a very nice man at reception who welcomed us happily. The room was typical of a small European hotel, however, what was important to us about the room were the following: a comfortable bed, excellent water pressure, hot water, and efficient air conditioning. This hotel had this and more; refrigerator, coffee maker with instant coffees and teas, non-diary creamer, sugars, table & chairs for eating or working, well thought out closet and cabinet space for storage, and quiet location. Our room rate came with a breakfast and wifi which was worth it. The breakfast was very good (not excellent due to soggy scrambled eggs), but plenty of options: fresh eggs to par boil or boil, bacon, sausage, pancakes, cereals, breads, rolls, pastries, yogurts, cheeses, meats, fresh fruits, juices, coffee and teas.

Centrally located, great design of the rooms but no so great staff (except for the ladies at the breakfast room, they were super nice). People in reception are not very kind or helpful. Breakfast is more a three star hotels type than a four. But the situation of the hotel is great, right in the middle of Biarritz.

Hotel is in a great spot, in the main square and with parking next door. The funky decor is fun and happy and the rooms are light and work well. Two luggage carriers would have been good- very few hotels acknowledge that both people in a room will have a bag.

We arrived for check in very early (just after noon) expecting we would have to leave our bags and come back for a room - so were pleasantly surprised when the very helpful check-in clerk gave us a great room on the top floor straight away. The view of the nearby beaches was fantastic. The room was clean and modern (a little on the small side) and the location was fantastic.

I can have no complaints about this hotel as it was convenient for the bus station, bars and restaurants and as we were travelling between Bilbao, San Sebastian and Toulouse it provided the perfect overnight stopping point. I would definitely stay here again and also recommend to friends. The room and beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning proved to be a Godsend as the temperature that day was over 40 degrees celsius. The staff were also most helpful and accommodating.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. Close to beach, shopping, bars, restaurants and all the sights. Beautiful city but very, very packed in mid August. I would avoid this time if I was to go again but I would stay in the Mercure again - it was perfect.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend away and although it was nice, I was a little disappointed with the common areas. The reception was small, with a few couches, and there was a small breakfast room, but that was it. There were no lounges, no bar, no restaurant for evening meal. Although it was close to lots of restaurants and bars, I felt the hotel was lacking in atmosphere.The room was small, but clean and had tea/coffee facilities. We were there on Bastille Day, but even with all of the crowds on the streets late at night, nothing could be heard from the room. All in all, it was a good experience, but I would prefer a hotel with more atmosphere for next time.

Sleepless in Biarritz
Modern hotel right in centre seemed like a good idea for an overnight stay on our way to Spain. We found the staff were 'distant' and service was perfunctory (eg no offer to help with luggage to the car parked just outside). However, the main problem was that the students seemed to be partying all night (and I mean all night!) in the streets below. The noise carried into the room (despite double glazing) and so we spent two quite sleepless nights and vowed never to stay in the centre of Biarritz again.

Good location. Night staff very helpful....day staff ignored us. Despite advertising air conditioning there wasn't any. No sense in taking a shower since you were soaked in sweat by the time you got dressed. Very disappointed and would not recommed this hotel with very small rooms and no A/C.

Great hotel in a very good location.
Really loved this hotel; the decor was bright and modern. The room was a good size and the location was very central. Loved the dual shower but if I was to give any complaint it would be that the water was cold the morning we were leaving... which was a real shame as it’s a great shower (and we did have hot water the evening before). The room has blackout blinds and seems to be soundproof so you’re sure of a good night’s sleep. I would recommend this hotel.

I was quite happy with this hotel at the beginning. But the day before leaving, I went out in the morning and came back in the early afternoon, and nobody had made up my room yet. Later I was trying to rest, when around 16pm somebody entered in my room (even if it was locked from the interior, I imagine the situation if I was busy doing something ...). When she saw me getting up from the bed, she ran anyway and, one hour later, she came back, and said that this was my last chance to have the room made up, because she was going to finish her service soon. I asked her 5 minutes to get dressed and go out, as it was scheduled, but she didn't want to wait and so it was me to waited for her to finish the room and then I could get ready to go out. Not so nice.

This hotel was great. The location was perfect, everything was in very short walking distance,and even nearer than you would think. We had a room at the back and didn't hear a noise inside or outside the hotel the whole stay. Beds were extremely comfortable. Air con was good and not overpowering if you forgot to turn it off at night. The rooms were adequately sized. My only criticism is that there were only plastic disposable glasses on the room tray and in the bathroom - it cheapened the room a little bit. The majority of the staff were really lovely and accommodating. Breakfasts were well run, the staff were very efficient, and constantly topping up food as it was running out (except on Sunday when the baguettes were not replaced, but there was a constant stream of warm from the oven rolls etc.). There is no bar in the hotel but the Nicholas wine shop a few doors down the street or the basement supermarket of the Galeries Layfayette across the road will accommodate all tastes who want to stray beyond the confines of the minibar! Would highly recommend this hotel.
P.S. Watch out for the airport taxi drivers, on arrival ours had his meter covered over and charged a flat rate of €20, the taxi guy on the way back said it should have been no more than €15 to the hotel had the meter been running...

Après avoir séjourné plusieurs fois dans cet hôtel, cette dernière expérience a été très décevante.

Du papier toilette qui etait Pas renouvellé, j’a indi aller chercher moi même du papier dans la réserve.
Ma tasse de café du kit d accueil qui est restée sale sur la table 3 jours d affilé alors que le ménage était fait.
La porte des toilette qui ne fermait pas et ne se claquait même pas!!! Heureusement un technicien est intervenu rapidement lorsque nous l’avons remonté.
Et surtout les nouveaux aménagements ne permettent absolument pas de recevoir les vêtements pour 2 personnes surtout pour plusieurs jours. 5 cintres à se partager et une seule tablette pour mettre tous les vêtements!! Les chambres ne sont pas adaptées pour recevoir un couple avec des bagages c est aberrant !! Pa sur que je revienne dans cet hôtel mercure

Delikat og lyst hotell, virka som detvar nyoppussa. Alt fungerte, med fin temperatur på rommet i varmen. Vi var to voksne og to tenåringar, og familierommet fungerte til det. Fleire dusjar, adskilt rom for toalett.Fornøgd med utsikt til parkeringsplass, då blei det lite støy. Svært god beligghenheit, midt i sentrum med tre min gange til hovedstranda. God delikat frokost, bevisst på å ikkje kaste mykje mat. Litt mangel på påfyll av toalettartiklar. Anbefalar gjerne!
