Hyatt Regency Hotel is one of the best hotel in Harare you could stay in. Their service is exquisite, the staff are so friendly and very professional, they greet you with a smile & i quick to respond any issues that arise. I stayed in one of their suite and every 2 days they would bring me fresh fruits, making sure my water is topped up in the fridge & that my room is clean always. Their food is amazing, I wasn’t very keen on the breakfast but food its self is 👌. I would definitely book again & again

The only down thing with this hotel is their royal & presidential suite is over prized.

For being the caliber of hotel it is, I was disappointed as there was no hot water in the shower then bathroom could have been cleaner, and the reception area staff were pleasant but somewhat aloof with their service.

I will start with, I have been staying here for 15 years and have very real expectations of what is and isn't normal.

This visit was so far below par that we will seriously consider using another property in the future.

COMPLETELY UNDISCLOSED - they are undergoing MAJOR renovations. LaFontaine is the only dining area open (which was closed on the day we arrived for a private event - you read that correctly). So, the hotel was utilizing the Club Room for all other guests. Club Room with Club Room prices - which were astronomical. You could also eat on the pool deck. Which we chose to one night, and the food took 90-minutes to arrive and everything was so cold, rendering most of it inedible.

While there is never REALLY air conditioning in the south tower, there definitely was not even air pretending to blow through the vents. My room stayed so hot (over 30 C) that my solid toiletries melted.

I am very accustomed to the rooms being warm and have always asked for, and received, a floor fan in my room - this has been (and was) requested at the time the room was reserved (months in advance).

This time, there was no fan in any of the 4 rooms we reserved. The only male in the group was the only person to receive a fan on the 1st day (8 hours later). I received a fan 30-hours after check-in. No one else was given a fan. We all made many requests.

Management did a poor job navigating issues and would not speak with us.

There was no way to regulate the temperature in my room. It got a little chilly. An \"engineer\" came a couple times to make sure air was coming through the vent, which did absoluteky nothing. They lso sent a room heater which produced very little heat. Room ws comfortable/ Stafff accomodating.

Hotel is old fashion and tatty - but good location

The hotel is not as 'glam' as you expect and most areas are rather dated and tatty (esp the room bathrooms). The room service menu is very limited and the eating areas are very old fashion. It's a great location, some lovely team (the barman up at the pool bar, and Emily in the spa is fab). But overall I was rather disappointed. Stay and see what you think, but the hotel needs to 'raise it's game' to keep people returning. Think it's riding off of an old reputation.

Experience was ok, expected much more from a 5-star hotel thought. Service was excellent but the hotel looks tired now and could do with a whole revamp. Food was average and could definitely be improved on for a 5-star experience. Pleasant enough stay though but not enough for a 5-star hotel.

I got to the wing with central airconditioning and with the current cold, my room was freezing and even sending a maintenance fellow to come fix it, his best advice was extra blankets. For a business trip, I could have done with better.

Probably try somewhere else next time

Stayed here before so know that it will of course not tick every box. Rooms have been refurbished and very comfortable / clean. Water very hot and good shower. Sadly cold tap in sink produced black bits when run. Aircon struggled in heat of day. Service generally very good. Pick up from airport good but alas when it came to leave they attempted take me there in a service vehicle used to transport goods! Unbelievable and shocked they would do this. Hotel has been sold by the family to Middle Eastern developers so expect standards to improve. Shocking use of clean film at breakfast, everything wrapped in the stuff!

When a Meikles became a tavern

I was very disappointed. For a 5 star establishment, the team, barring the management does not understand what their rating means. I had tone moved twice due to noise in the wing I was staying and there was no offer of an upgrade , just musical chairs . My last night was eventually on a quiet floor but there was no effort made by their on call staff to improve the experience. Very disappointed. The manager came the night before and spoke to me but even she did not insist on an upgrade , even though I was kept in the same wing . 5 star means you turn it around , not contain the problem

A hotel with a lot of history. In the center of town and safe, though there's currently a curfew from 18.30-06.00 due to Covid.

I liked the people and the decor, as well as the views. What I did not like was the food - at US$270/night, breakfast was not included. Fine, but if you paid, you don't get much choice if you are vegetarian. Same problem with dinner, very expensive but with little choice. In the lounge, I had the world's worst coffee and croissant as well.

The staff was so helpful and accommodating. They did their very best to see to any questions I had and resolved several logistical challenges for me. Really top notch customer service.

The hotel room lacked adequate air conditioning but I think that is a broader Zimbabwe issue. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Fantastic, customer-service oriented staff who are willing to meet nearly any request. Great location and clean rooms and comfortable beds. The only downside for me was the weak air conditioning in the room. It is central air so there are no room controls. I slept on top of the sheets because it was just too hot for me. And the hot water in the bathroom never got hot.

They have a very good gym, with new equipment. Business center staff are very helpful.

There is a big breakfast buffet, lots of reliable taxis outside.

Tips - There is a laundry service around the corner that does same service for very reasonable prices
Grocery store next door, (Pik n Play) very new and modern.
Make sure you bring USD / Euro with you. No cash can prove challenging as many ATM's do not work and you have to be in USD at the hotel.

Nice place to stay in CBD

I always like staying here. It’s comfortable and clean. The room service menu prices are quite reasonable. My one complaint is about the bath tub. Water did not drain and when I mentioned it to the cleaning staff their solution was to leave on my bed a card to fill out.
