The receptionist spoke perfect English, and offered my wife the use of a brolly as it was raining. The bed was comfortable, and the room was ok. There was a coffee/tea machine near the foyer, but I have narked it down because it doesnt take a lot to have facilities in the room. Apart from that, the hotel was fine, be it we stayed 1 night only. Its in a perfect position within the town centre.

Not a good night sleep
Room was basic, air conditioning was useless and the fan they supplied. Kept you awake all night. So unfortunately at the hotel, for 2 nights and slept about 4 hours. €219 for 2 nights and it was advertised with air conditioning ( but what they failed to tell you was, the air conditioning was useless,) it would come on for approximately 30 seconds, then turn itself off so when you're in a room that is approximately 36° and they supply a noisy fan that just blows warm air. So unfortunately, not a very good stay

Excellent, very convenient town centre location in Arras. Staff really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast, although not a wide offering of cooked food, was more than sufficient as well as fresh and healthy. Scrambled eggs very well cooked.

The room was clean and adequate but a bit too small. I didn't have space to open a large suitcase anywhere in the room. There was a small shelf under the tv and I collided into it trying to squeeze by the foot of the bed The room was clean but very utilitarian - more like a room in an institution of some kind. It was cold in Arras and the heat was turned off, making for a very chilly night my first night. I spoke to the front desk and got a space heater for the next night. The staff were kind and helpful and it is definitely serviceable but not necessarily 'cozy'. The breakfast the next morning was pretty minimal.

Perfect for a stopover
Check-in lady was friendly and helpful with both check-in and parking. She also kindly showed me on a map where things were. We booked a twin as we always feel doubles are too small. The singles were long enough (6ft male). Only negative was it was very hot that day/night and the central aircon went off, so was pretty hot throughout night.

I thought this was a really great hotel. It's not 5* and doesn't pretend to be, but for what it is, I think it's as good an example as I've experienced. Super friendly staff, everything working, great location, and excellent breakfast. Couldn't fault it - value for money? Phenomenal.

Our only objection was the annoying Wifi connection, which required a complete login every 30 minutes or so. The room was smaller, but mainly because the “double“ bed turned out to be quite large (and very comfortable). You cannot beat the location - just steps from Heroes Square and reasonably priced.

The welcome was warm and friendly and very helpful with regard to parking. (Parking took a bit longer, but not the fault of the hotel, Arras was very busy with the Christmas Market). The rooms were clean and comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful (just as needed after a long day).

One night in Arras
The hotel is in a very central location in the beautiful city - however the whole central area is pedestrianised and the nice lady from Google maps could not find it. We asked loads of people and eventually found the hotel on foot.
The bedroom is very small but perfectly adequate and clean, as is the bathroom.
Breakfast in the small restaurant was excellent although it was very busy.

We stayed at this hotel for our last night of our vacation. Arras is a pleasant town, and the hotel is actually very conveniently located.

If the pricing was 50-65% of what we paid, then we’d understand, but we had just come from an Ibis Styles hotel in another town, where we’d paid almost exactly the same and stayed in a hotel that was not even on the same planet.
Ultimately a disappointing end to our holiday.

Great location, really good reception staff so helpful.. I will say the parking near the hotel was difficult to find and we ended up parking 10 minutes away on foot. Not a problem as the weekend parking is free so did not have to move the car. So close to the main square 2 mins walk. We did not have breakfast but what we saw it was very good and lots of it. Will definately use this hotel again.

This hotel is in an excellent location between the two big squares. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. It has a cosy feel, helpful staff, comfortable bed, good wifi, and elevator. This property is 1 block from the main square, 1/2 a block from a church (where I inadvertantly crashed a wedding) and quick walking distance from the train station. By the way, do not trust the prices you see online for the trains as many are bogus.

While the staff were great, the pictures of the rooms did not match the real thing. The room was so small there was no room anywhere but on the bathroom floor, or the bed to place your suitcases. You barely had enough room to walk around the bed on all three sides. The bed itself was uncomfortable, due to the fact that the “foamy’s” they’ve put on the mattress were two singles, so kept splitting in the middle of the night. The tub was really, really tiny, and very, very high to get into. My mother would never have been able to get in or out without assistance. The staff were amazingly helpful, even put my medicine that needed to be kept cold in the downstairs fridge (thank you). The best part of this hotel was the staff and their amazing breakfasts, worth every penny! For the price, the room just didn’t cut it. But where this hotel is situated is perfect!

Ideally placed for visiting the city. Unfortunately the hotel could do with a bit of a make-over. It's a bit tired and scruffy. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably clean but lack any facilities like kettle or clock. For an over night stop it's probably fine but for a longer stay it's not so good. It's a shame really because everything else is pretty good. There is a nice bar and food is available but we didn't eat here. Come on Ibis shape up you should be better than this. Get the paint brush out and buy some kettles.

Safety in the shower needed
Having stayed in the brand before, the room was as expected. Clean and comfortable, however the doorknob into the bathroom was very sticky. I found the side of the bathtub to be higher than normal, making it a little dangerous to step in and out of when showering, as there was no place to hold on. I grabbed for the door knob, but found the bathroom door did not hold in its latch, so the door started to swing out as I grabbed it. An accident waiting to happen..............

The hotel is fairly modern and check-in was quick and easy with pleasant staff. The room was bad - stank of smoke, cigarette burn marks on furniture, a light fitting was hanging off the (dirty) wall and the bathroom floor was dirty.

Ibis is well located in the centre of Arras, with ready access to car parking, restaurants and scenic and historic squares. We were a party of 20 family members and the small bar area was sufficient for us to gather socially and self serve breakfast was very well equipped. Some rooms were a little small if the third bed was set out.

Great hotel due to the location just at the side of the main square. Issues with booking as they claimed that they hadn’t received all of the details from Hotels.com but all sorted out by the very efficient receptionist.
Room was very basic and a bit pokey but based on the price we paid we couldn’t really argue.

The room was atrocious. That small you couldn't pass each other without one sitting on the bed. No tea or coffee making facilities. No iron. No face or hand towel. The hotel is in an excellent location. We were lucky enough to get a car parking space in the small car park opposite the hotel and there were no issues of overnight charges. Staff friendly, room clean and quiet.

The Ibis in Arras is locally centred which makes it ideal place-wise but our room was so small that is verged on being uncomfortable. The beds are fine, the bathrooms small and cramped. Our first time there. We usually stay in the Campanile further out of town and will revert to that next time
