Campanile is always a good bet for a stop-over en route. This one was no exception - friendly staff, adequate room with comfy bed and pets welcome. We had the usual steak frites in the restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. Good value for money and safe on-site parking.

As a pit stop after a long day's drive this hotel delivers the expected functional accomdation with secure parking, good wifi, a reasonable restaurant and convenient access from the Autoroute. As such it's good value, to the point we've stayed a few times. The town centre is just over a half hour's walk.

The hotel is chalet type accomodation which was clean and adequate albeit worn and dated. My room on the rear of the accommodation block, ground floor, was very warm when we stayed, with no air conn. We never used the restaurant but all the staff we engaged with were very friendly and accommodating.

We asked for a ground floor room which we were given. It was however a room designed for a disabled person. The toilet seat was broken and the toilet looked as if it had never been cleaned. The bathrooms was a wet room designed for a wheelchair user, however the floor was a death trap, very slippy when wet and the water didn't drain properly.

Loved this place and would stay again without hesitation. Quiet location (on a light industrial estate to almost zero overnight traffic) and close to A26.
Staff were super helpful and it has a small modern restaurant area offering a limited evening meal menu. Portions were generous and it was excellent value. The buffet breakfast choice was huge and all of it good quality - including a few things normally associated with 'full english' in recognition that it's just 60 miles from Calais and a lot of Brits pass through.
Rooms could do with a freshen up but everything was generally clean and worked well, apart from the bedsheets that seemed to not quite be big enough (maybe originally intended for a thinner matterss? The thick mattress was comfy though)

We chose Campanile Arras as we have used Campanile's in the past and have always been happy not so this time, website stated there was a restaurant but on arrival we were told it does not open at the weekends. Very tired looking on the outside, extractor in the bathroom made a noise all night. No milk or bread at breakfast either !!

Clean and Very Comfortable

Spotless room and bathroom. Spacious, comfortable - and they allow dogs for a small fee. Our hotel also had a garden and outdoor patio furniture - and ice-cold beer on a scorchingly hot day! The manager warmly welcomed us and couldn’t have been more helpful - he spoke very good English and listened patiently to my poor French! Free onsite parking - it was a great stay and I would go back there.

A disgraceful hotel!!!

This hotel is a disgrace and i dont see how it can rate 7.4 out of 10. The whole frontage is shabby with doors scrsped and marked as is outdoor panelling. Our toilet was broken as it wouldnt flush. Toilet seat is chipped and no one wanted to sit on it a iit is a health hazard. Also difficult to find and noisy. Noisy from nearby main road into Arras and also as it is next to a plant hire company so noisy early in morning. We coulsnt sleep properly so got up and lwft early. A rip off at the price!! Will be writing to Campanile for a refund.

The hotel was tired, obviously suffering from lockdown and no use. It all felt uncared for. We were a bit concerned that the gate was not shut at night. We booked hoping that there would be a restaurant after our long journey and sad that it was closed.

We've stayed here many times now to break our journey between France and the UK. It is convenient, there's easy parking, wifi (drops sometimes), they take our little dog, the room is clean, the bed is comfortable - and there's a kettle! The evening meal and breakfast buffets are very good. The staff are most helpful.

If you are looking for a very basic hotel then this is the hotel for you its cheap but not so cheerful.
The room is basic and needed a good clean, the square pillows on the bed were stained.
I understand if you go to a foreign country there will be a language barrier,but usually staff have some basic English. The staff in the restaurant and main reception got very frustrated as we didnt speak French and they didn't speak English which made eating in the restaurant a challenge.
Although the restaurant and bar were clean and inviting unlike the rest of the hotel which looked very tired and the outside stairs to upstairs rooms were in poor condition and slippery . We booked 2 nights and only stayed for 1.

Good, clean basic hotel out of town

You're unlikely to choose this hotel for its location, which is an industrial estate about 20 minutes from the centre of Arras on foot, but the rooms are clean and it has everything you need for a good night's sleep. Free parking and plenty of it. Towels, toiletries, etc. provided.
I couldn't get the free WiFi working, but others could. The hotel staff are very helpful and will do all they can to help with taxis, etc.

Great value, I would stay again.

Ideal for an overnight stay, as it it is very close to the motorway. I loved the heated mirror in the bathroom, which means it doesn't steam up. I like that the car park gets locked at night, after 11pm. Quite basic but good for one night.

Although not too easy find (located in a commercial business park) was in a secure location and ideal for a stopover. Staff were very helpful and spoke English and even understood my French. Room was very clean and facilities were good. Restaurant/bar area was pleasant and could also sit outside. Meals were a good standard and plenty of choice for breakfast. The downside was that it was a drive into the main town and it wasn't easy to find the nearest supermarket/hypermarket for petrol and a few groceries.

Bit of a shock

Accommodation is in a separate block to the Reception and Dining, which as we had heavy rain was not great.. Room was on first floor with outside balcony to get there, up external stone stairs, wooden rails were rotten at the top which did not encourage confidence.

Had booked to visit the Somme Commemoration and this was the only hotel room going when we looked, as enormous pressure on accommodation along with Wales European Cup. Two nights cost was cheap for b&b which reflected the basic level of accommodation which was fair, the last two at the peak of pressure the price more than doubled but we had no choice..

Room was small, basic but clean. Breakfast very good value for the price. Evening meal again no frills but well satisfied with price against quality.

Very basic room, mould in shower ceiling, hotel was in the middle of an industrial estate with nowhere to even buy a bottle of water unless you want a two mile walk to the nearest shop . our stay was for the Somme commemoration and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful, Campanile however need to jump into the 20th century and supply proper cups in the rooms instead of paper ones for tea and coffee making before a guest has a nasty burn or scald !

Finding the hotel on SatNav was impossible. Having traveled all day by car, it was almost 22h30 at night when my SatNav kept taking me to the wrong location! Also had great difficulty in finding the hotel through Goolge Maps GPS Locator on my mobile phone was equally challenging. In desperation, I called the hotel and thankfully, the Receptionist offered to fetch me from my location in the centre of town. I found this most unusual and must give them 100% thumbs up. The room was okay, but only offered pay TV, which upset me as it was soon after the Paris terror attack a few days earlier, and I really needed some news on developments, and it being late night after 23h00, I was imply too tired to bother.

I had read previous reviews where people said they had trouble locating the hotel - I had not issues with that - it was easy to find coming from Vimy - albeit in the daylight.

The hotel is small, tucked out of the way in an industrial area.

The room was clean and comfortable - but the hotel is noisy. People leaving banging car doors and moving around - and the sound carries right into the rooms.

The food was good and there was a lot of it - although I think there was only a handful of people staying there.

It is a low cost hotel and was a pleasant surprise - I would have no trouble recommending this hotel (aside from way the noise carries).

Ask for a room on the backside of the hotel - away from the parking lot and this may help with the early morning noise.

Excellent staff who were very good with the two dogs we had with us. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very friendly. Hotel was easy to find and good value for money. Breakfast was excellent and they even gave the dogs some food and yoghurt. We would definitely stay again.

Very practical / functional hotel - ideally suited for mid-travel stop over - but within easy access of Arras / Somme area. Very close to the E15 / A26 motorway but proved difficult to locate in day time (despite advertising signs, sat nav etc.) Be very well prepared if you are looking to find the hotel location at night - it will be a challenge.

On arrival at the hotel we were given the key to room 17. On opening the door of the room we were overcome with the stench of cigarette smoke. The double bed was pushed against the wall, the sheets were dirty and the bed wasn't properly made. The room was dark and dingy. Outside the floor was covered with cigarette stubs. This was not acceptable to me so we returned to reception to tell the manager. No other room was offered so we left. Therefore, Hotels.com didn't fulfil their part of the contract so I want my money back and have applied to Visa accordingly.

It's conveniently located if you are traveling, but not that much so next time if they kept the price that high I wouldn't go there. I'd choose a town Centre hotel or a charming b&b. Mama Shelter in Lyon was 99 breakfast included and there is no comparison between them!

Once I oriented myself to the location I found this hotel to be convenient (assuming you are driving your own vehicle). The only issue I had was finding the place initially - the lady at the local patisserie helped immensely but she doesn't work on Tuesdays, so beware. The pain chocolate is excellent here though and the one down the street will make you a sandwich (a sub in North America - but so much better) for about 3 euros. I ate pastry and fresh bread most of the time for breakfast and lunch. But I digress; the hotel is good, but it is a lot of work to find and the location Google maps gives is about 1 km. off. Look for the Allouette Zone signs not the hotel signs, that is more productive.

Campanile Arras in Saint Nicolas was perfect for our needs. Close to highway, clean and quiet. Only downside is that it is in a very industrial type area so not much close by in terms of walking distance (or at least anything that we found). But for simply a place to sleep and eat while passing through the area and at affordable prices, it was perfect.

Very small room, but beds were comfortable, and the area quiet. We were only there for one night, so that was all we needed. Would be cramped for a longer stay, but just going through it was excellent value for the price.

Okay

Prefer an \"unimproved\" Campanile. Only one chair, one towel each rather than one large and one small each, no air conditioning, one biscuit packet was open with one soft biscuit left. Lovely sheets and comfortable beds. Further out of centre than had hoped. Food fine. Would have liked 1664 on pression. Road a little noisy.

Clean and comfy

This seemed to be in an industrial estate and was hard to find. We felt it was expensive compared to a lovely hotel which we stayed at in Moustiers Sainte-Marie. Its good points was: clean and comfy.

As a transit hotel, this is adequate and preferable to staying in Calais area when travelling to south of France.

Excellent first stop

Have stayed here several times now - a good first stop on a llong journey south. As above - clean, friendly, easy to fiind, plenty of parking, decent price. This Campanile has recently been modernised. As often with Campanile, though, food quality a bit variable. I will probasbly stay here again.

Clean, good stop over or battlefield hotel

Good: Evening meal & breakfast food very good: better than Campanille Laon.
Bad: Beds hard !!
Bad: Not able to have a drink until after 7pm when the restaraunt opened
