We checked in at 0030 so reception was closed which was expected. The message from the hotel gave me a code to use to gain entry.

At the hotel I was faced with a check in computer asking for my name and reservation number .

After 20 minutes I could not find a reservation number it would accept

We used the intercom to speak to someone and got the reservation number.

Using this we ‘eventually ‘ got the door to open after about 5 attempts.

The code sent by the hotel was infact the reservation number . A simple change in language could have assisted here .
Without my message to the hotel prior to travelling this code would not have been sent or available - so despite not knowing this code was the reservation number - how are you supposed to find that out if you don’t know you need it till 0030 when you are tired and trying to check in.

It was a poor check in process which even asked for around 2€ in payment and if we wanted breakfast etc . Can you imagine at 0030 if I want this - we just wanted to get to bed not be questioned

All B&B hotels do exactly as they say on the tin - no fuss, basic..
Clean, tidy and sparse so its ok for a stopover. A bit of a walk into town which was practically deserted, where are all the people at 6pm on a lovely sunny day?
Tv with no option for anything in English so for a solo traveler, a bit dissapointing

OK but with a few issues

All Ok but one of the beds did not have a duvet cover on it. Not so much of a problem as the room was very hot and the fan/air conditioner... didn't. Just be aware that we were on an upper floor and there were no restrictions on opening the window and you could easily have climbed out to a 40 foot drop. If traveling with younger children that might be a concern (We were in a family room).

Mold in bathroom, shower head did not function properly and filled bathroom with which also leaked into the room, no shower gel or hand soap. Other guests in thw corridor making noise and shouting all night. Hotel sent instructions to check in which were incorrect. Beside light broken and other side didnt work.

The check in process was really easy using the machine at the front. We got an email explaining how to use it if staff weren’t around. The staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. The breakfast options were very limited. The rooms are very « bare bones », there is no hair dryer, or mini fridge, or little coffee station in the room. Limited supplies in the room, one small garbage can, and only a partial roll of toilet paper when we arrived. Overall, it’s a good option for one person or a short trip.

We enjoyed this hotel. We used it as it was close to the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, was easy to take an Uber to it from there. The hard part was trying to get a ride back, no taxis were available but eventually Uber came through. The area is a little less tourist oriented so the people don’t really speak a lot of English, so bring your translator app, that worked well for us. Everyone was nice and we had fun with it. It’s also just down the street from the Lens Louvre. Would stay again.

This hotel is a bit off the beaten track, however, in this instance was just what we wanted as needed a quick start the following morning to head for our Ferry. Difficulty in signing in via electronic system meant had to wait for the mahager to open the reception and check-in person to person. Had an issue with the shower flooding the bathrom as water flowing quicker than the outlet could deal with. Didn't cause to much of an issue as the manager provided buck and mop along with lots of towels to dry floor.
Whilst the hotel is iisolated in a commercial area there are a number of eateries in the vicinity.

Hotel in area with no where to eat drink after 9 pm. Only a small double bed so no room to sleep comfortably.
Weird decor in room pretending to be middle earth (they actually gave us a certificate to say we slept in middle earth) 🤔🤔 showers good and clean but wouldn’t stay again. Parking was free in station car park with ticket from hotel which was a bonus

Disappointing for a BB hotel. Just a grin and shrug when struggling with the Wi-Fi which requires SMS. Just a grin when hot breakfast ran out 2 hours before end of advertised time. Worst of all the shower tray drain was completely blocked which should have been noticeable when cleaning. This resulted in a messy flood. Expect better from this brand

The hotel has free parking and is close to the Louvre Museum.

Great location, easy bike ride to Vimy Memorial, quick walk to the Louvre Lens museum. Crocodile Restaurant gives you 10% off if you tell them you are at the B&B hotel. Close to a laundromat, grocery store, tons of restaurants, shops, etc.
Bed was usual European hotel, rather firm.
Great shower. Nice little closet.
Everything was very clean.
Service was fantastic.
Will definitely stay again if we ever find ourselves back in the area.

Cheap but need some improvement.

Self service check in, as reception does not have 24/7 staff, carpet was not clean, had some spillages on it. WiFi was very poor. Broken soap dispenser and leaking shower, which flooded floor all over. The price is very reasonable, so can not complain too much, however for the same money we had better stay at another hotel network.

We liked the fact that both of our children had their own bed. Our only complaint is that the water pressure in the shower was so strong, it flooded the bathroom floor when you had a shower. A door or shower curtain would have stopped this from happening.

Check in was no good. They made me pay again even though I had pre-paid. Hotels.com was great and credited my first payment. The vending machine took my money and when I let the desk know they told me to call and ask the technician for my money back. Staff just wasn't friendly. Will not use again.

It was a bit of a problem actually getting in to the hotel, as it appears I hadn't booking in prior to arriving & its was all automatic, there was no one there, we couldn't get passed the automatic doors to reception anyway. But ..... we pressed the button & a friendly voice helped. The room was small, perhaps because we wanted a twin bedded room, I think my husband only had about a foot between him & the window wall! Breakfast was very good. We visited the amazing Vimy war memorial, very moving. Many of the local houses were flying the Canadian flag in respect.

We were shopping for a hotel in the area, and found this gem in Lievin, France.
Great price and quite convenient. Close to the all amenities. Just make sure you have your reservation number in order to access the hotel. You need a pin number to access the hotel, parking, and room. Limited staffing on site. Once you have conquered the key pad access you are home free.

Fantastic clean and convenient budget hotel

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a nice spacious family room, the linens were all clean and new, the room was really well set up, with very welcome air conditioning, a good safe car park, and the staff were super friendly.

It was a really convenient location for exploring the area (we were visiting various World War One sites) and although it wasn't really a walkable area there were still good restaurants that were only a five minute walk away, plus the Carrefour was a really short drive away which was perfect for an in room picnic (they also had a microwave available for guests). It was quiet as well.

Continental breakfasts for €6 a time were a good start to the morning. Highly reccommended. We will definitely go back.

Convenient location for 'Lens Louvre', though you need a SatNav to find it.
Relatively new, and condition is well maintained. Do read the hotel's notes about out of hours entry; the automated system works but for peace of mind it's a good idea to test it before you go out for the evening!

I brought a school group to this hotel due to the price and proximity to what we wanted to see in the area. These hotels are never in the heart of the action, but usually decent. This hotel however had terrible staff. The receptionist was not welcoming at all. She made our group feel unwelcome and we couldn't wait to leave. There are other cheap hotels in the area and I will not use this one again.

We stayed here as a base for visiting WW1 battle sites. It is central to visiting the Vimy monument.
The desk closes early so if you try to check in late it is a big problem!

Fine for a quick stay.

Glad that we checked in when staff member was there - it was straight forward when staffed, not sure how it would be if unmanned. I was surprised that breakfast was not included and had to pay E18 for our family of four at check in. Based on hotels.com booking, I thought it was included. Wifi did not work reliably in room but we were at the end of the hallway. Kids used wifi in the hallway. Liked that there was a full bed + 2 twin beds for the kids. Shower stall only half covered, so floor got soaked. Staff member friendly, hard-working but could use more help. Took last parking spot at night...so not sure what you do if you arrive late. Breakfast was good, overall it did the job for a quick overnight stay.

Clean room with great shower but tended to flood the bathroom floor. Staff very efficient and friendly and spoke English. The hotel is on a retail park so close to supermarkets. We ate dinner next door at the Poivre Rouge which is a French restaurant chain, it was good food and reasonable prices. Our room did not have a kettle or any coffee maker, which is a drawback, however there is a hot drink machine in the foyer. Overall we thought it was very good value and would stay there again

Perfect stopover place

Good value convenient and very pleasant place ideal for Lens-Louvre museum. Good breakfast next day and there is a convenient chain restaurant next door ideal if you've come off a long drive with children, as we had. Made a perfect stopover before the hour or so's drive onto Calais next day.

Hotel was basic but clean. However, trying to get hold of somebody when you have a problem is almost impossible
We were stuck in the lift for 5 minutes . The lady on reception was more interested in having a telephone conversation rather than listen to me telling her that the lift was broke,
The food/drink dispensing machine in reception took your money and didn`t dispense the goods but there was nobody around to speak to
There wasn`t even a bin in the room and the shower was a joke and flooded everywhere

We stayed here for one night on the drive to the UK from France. It is the budget hotel we have ever visited, big comfortable rooms and in a great spot with loads of amenities e.g. restaurants and a big Carrefour supermarket near by. Highly recommended.

Bonjour, depuis mes dernières réservations à plusieurs reprises mon lit n'a pas été fait alors qu'il n'y avait aucune affaires personnelles dessus. J 'ai fait remonter l'information. Dernière résa ascenseur en panne et bruit dans les chambres et couloirs jusqu'à tard dans la nuit provoqués par un groupe scolaire apparemment.

Très bon accueil. Personnel disponible et très aimable. Chambre et salle de bains assez spacieux pour un couple - animal de compagnie bien reçu. Grand parking gratuit. Hotel bien situé, pas trop de bruit des voies routières sur côté nord de l’hotel. Restaurant Crocodile tout près. Musée Lens à 800m.

Hotel confortable, avec personnel d accueil- petit déjeuner réactif et soucieux de la clientèle. Ce fut très appréciable. Hôtel proche du musée Louvre Lens, à ne pas rater, cadre champêtre, architecture et oeuvres superbement mis en valeur. Ter 40 min ds coeur de Lille, pour un weekend sans bouchon formidable.

Pas de n° de réservation d'Hotels.com donc impossibilité de recuperer la chambre. Nous avons dû appeler le support pour obtenir ce numéro.
La chambre récupérée, la fenêtre était ouverte malgré la chaleur à l'extérieur et ma clim à l'intérieur. Énormément de mouche dans la chambre.
