The TV and internet in the room did not work and could not be fixed during our stay despite asking twice. Apparently no engineer on site but why put us in this room when most rooms were empty? The evening meal in the Restuarant - my wife’s Cote de Beouf steak was not eatable . We informed the waiter who apologised several times but never offered to replace it. You still charged us in full for it. Real shame as otherwise nice venue that we may have considered using regularly when travelling back from alps to UK, I asked twice at reception for these problems to be considered and no one was available to consider a partial refund or even a gesture of goodwill. Still not heard from hotel more than 24 hours after check out. Very disappointing , still waiting on a formal response to my legitimate service complaint .

Only used as stopover hotel on our way to the Stelvio Pass in Italy but it was a great choice. A very modern, welcoming and comfortable hotel, with all amentities you'd expect for a 4* hotel. Our only challenge was food hotel dining options on the evening, only charcuterie boards available and that's not our thing, disspaointed but not a reason to not stay at this lovely hotel

Modern, very well appointed and comfortable, this 4* hotel overlooks its golf course. It is located just outside the historic town of Arras (like Brussels, but much nicer) and convenient for WW1 venues like Wellington Quarries, the CWGC visitor centre and Vimy Ridge Canadian memorial - all highly recommended. The car park has plenty of room, with level access and well marked bays suitable for wide cars. The hotel bar and restaurant are excellent with a good selection of beers and wine. The food is excellent (but not cheap) and breakfast is comprehensive.

The first room we were given had a some kind of electrical hum noise (not the aircon, or bathroom fan, something louder, possibly elevator electricals).

This was super-quickly handled by the Excellent reception staff who assigned us another room.

The second room (like the first) looked great. Great bed, TV, bathroom. Lots of plug sockets and USB charge points. Perfect. Very considered and well-built hotel.

The atmosphere was lovely, reception was welcoming and very helpful. Our room was lovely with a lovely bathroom which I didn’t want to get out of the shower. We ate in the restaurant which the food was great. Didn’t manage to get to spa/pool but will definitely stay they again. For golfer your straight onto golf course.

Very pricey for the quality of stay. They market as a golf hotel with golf course views, however, was not made aware in any way they are not affiliated with the golf course, which was closed at end of May when I was booked to stay and primary reason I chose the hotel. If you don’t mind paying through the nose for a very average stay (only allowed 1 hr in the “spa area” per day btw), fill your boots. You’ll get to rub shoulders with the likes who park their Ferraris in the handicap spaces.

Unfortunately the stay was not good . First night payed our bill for the restaurant went up to the bar 30 mins later a staff member said we owe more money for dinner and wouldn't lever until we paid . Infront of everyone . We were so embarrassed and felt very uncomfortable. The room was very dusty. Their were stains on the carpet leading up to the room . The second day we were asked when we were leaving and what time . Felt very uncomfortable and wanted too leave . It was suppose too be a relaxing few days break . Awful, unexceptable , been too france many many times will not be going thier again and other people shouldn't.

Nice contemporary modern hotel with outside seating areas looking out across the golf course. Rooms modern with air conditioning. Free onsite parking. Great breakfast. Had a meal in the restaurant which was lovely. Staff were welcoming and helpful.

Obviously this is a golfing hotel and you will find some pretentious people which is slightly off putting. Other than that it was great!

It’s a stylish, modern hotel in beautiful surroundings but conveniently close to the A26 motorway.

We stayed in a superior room with golf views. The room was smart and very clean with everything you need including a coffee machine. The shower was excellent.

There is a stylish bar area with outdoor terraces, and the restaurant is superb. In all areas, the staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed here as a stopping off point on a longer journey, and we’re so pleased we did.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in

I booked this hotel because I expected it to be nice. The pics showed beautiful balconies overlooking a golf course. I arrived late and tired, so when I checked in and found out there was an extra 30 euros for a room with a balcony I refused and took what I was given. My room overlooked the parking lot, was very dirty (including the 6 spiders I had to kill), no ice machine or mini fridge, no air conditioning and loose tiles in the bathroom.

Overall a great stay. Pricey for food and drinks but then again where in Europe isn't it. Great golf course but the rental clubs were sub par and few. The room we booked online was not a golf course view and we stayed two extra days and booked into a room with a view. Suggest trying one of the areas many restaurants for meals. This hotel is close to Vimy and many other attractions.

Hôtel du Golf d'Arras A Nice Place To Stay

We Stayed at The Hôtel du Golf d'Arras for three nights. The Hotel has it's own golf course and is set just about half a mile of the main road. The Hotel is well kept and the staff could not be more helpful. The bar staff are great a speak very good English. The room was one of the biggest i have ever stayed in, and was very clean, and the bath room had everything you could ever want. soup's etc. I would book this hotel again.

A top notch hotel in Arras area

This hotel is an excellent place to stay in the Arras area. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond what I would expect from them. They helped us in directions to local attractions, and facilitated a late meal for us. They also helped facilitate communications as our French was limited, conversing quite adequately in English.
We were very impressed, and would recommend this location unreservedly.
The only problem we had was our GPS in our vehicle kept taking us to the wrong street in Arras as there are two streets with the same name. If you are using vehicle GPS to get to this hotel, you need to be aware of this.

I would love to recommend this hotel on the basis of the young lady on the front desk , who was so very helpful and accommodating , but not the actual hotel itself .

Our room was at the end of the hotel facing onto a road which was noisy , and as there is no air con , it was a choice of insomnia with the window open or frying if we wanted a degree of quiet .

The room was clean and basic , if somewhat small .

The bathroom was fine , clean and modern , lacking shelf space though .

Restaurant has a nice terrace , decent food , not too pricey . Didn't take breakfast so couldn't say how that was .

If you want an overnight place for heads down en route to a Ferry and don't need air con then it's ok , otherwise you can do a lot better .

can't understand why the ratings are so high

This place is in a great location (right off the autoroute) and the staff is very friendly. However, the place is spartan and in poor condition. It appears it hasn't been refurbished since the 70's and feels cheap and dumpy. They charge 14 EUR per person for a substandard breakfast, which is exorbitant for what you get and they do not disclose this charge on the website, at check in, or even in the breakfast room. You only learn about it upon check out, whereupon sticker shock sets in and you feel fleeced for what you've gotten. Would never stay here again--there are many better options, including other golf hotels nearby.

Average hotel, lovely location, noisy restaurant

The rooms with the balcony are best and the view over the golf course is lovely. There is limited space for unpacking (other than hanging space). No drawers in the bedroom or anywhere to put anything down in the bathroom apart from the floor. We stayed 2 nights - the restaurant the first night was really noisy (unfortunately the Brits on a golfing trip, drinking heavy and swearing a lot) but the second night it was very quiet. The food quality was good. The location is ideal for visiting the area, especially the WW1 cemeteries.

Myself and a group of friends stayed at this hotel Dec 2012. The accomodation was of a good and comfortable standard, however, Eating in the attached restaurant was very expensive for what turned out to be mediocre meals. The menu looked good and was priced accordingly. When challenged regarding toughness of the beef aspect of a meal a free coffee was offered in compensation. The three other meals were dissapointing for the price charged. 140.00 euros! No wine.
Only two drinks were taken in the hotel bar. 2 single brandies 18 euros EACH!!!
A nice place to stay spoiled by the extras.

Restaurant was expensive for what was on offer, they bring out some nibbles when you first sit at the table, there were four of us but a table with two people had a larger amount so that felt wired then we seemed to be ignored, Breakfast is expensive for what is on offer ok if you liked smoked ham as you have hot and cold option in fact smoked meat seamed your only option. We quickly learnt to eat out at a third the cost, BBC world service on TV but no other English speaking channels.
hotel room was not as exciting as in the pictures as it was Adjacent to the car park but it was quiet which came as a surprise.
I would stay here again

Very disappointing stay

The room was disappointingly small, there were various cigarette burns on the carpet and several large stains of indeterminable origin but looking quite unsavory. The shower fixture was broken and would not remain at a height suitable for use by anything other than a small child. It was an unusually hot evening made worse by the fact that despite paying extra for an executive room there was no air-conditioning nor could Reception provide a fan.
The bar area was soulless and totally lacking any character.

Thankfully we did not try the restaurant for dinner as breakfast was over-priced at 14 euros for some coffee, juice and continental breakfast, one hour before breakfast ended the hot selection consisted of 4 miniature sausages and some scrapings of what once was scrambled egg.

Stopped overnight on way down and way back from South of France in May/June 2012. Handy stopover (90k from tunnel). Perfectly satisfactory, clean, staff helpful etc. Room was at the end of a corridor with limited views but this was not a problem for us as we just wanted a meal and a good bed. We elected not to have breakfast and made an early start but the evening meal in the golf clubhouse was good quality and reasonable. Definitely able to recommend this venue for quality and cost.

Handy stop over

Stayed overnight at Arrass Golf Club on way down and way back from the South of France. Excellent first night stop after tunnel (about 90k). Perfectly satisfactory, clean etc. Dinner can be had at the club house 50metres walk down the road. Dinner was very good quality and not too expensive. Cheaper than driving into Arrass. We did not have breakfast. This was a very economic stop over. Room was right at the end of a corridor and had limited views but this was no problem to us as we really just wanted a good meal and a good bed. Very good value.

A welcome Hotel

The staff, in particular the bartender ( Raj ) was extremely helpful. We got lost and he went out of his way to make sure we would get to the hotel. Unfortunately it was my mobile phone that decided to give up the ghost and therefore communication was lost. It was a Belgian/Scottish couple who live in Arras that helped us to get to the hotel.

The food at the restaurant was very good and reasonable in price, a three course meal for two came to 79.50 Euros, excluding the wine. Breakfast next day was average, coffee lousy as it comes from a a push button machine. If you are a bit late coming down most of the croissants and pain au chocolate were gone. But after requesting more they were duly produced.

The bathroom was not that clean and the broken floor tiles were an eyesore but overall the hotel was very nice.

Clean and comfortable and good value. A great hotel with its own golf course but even if not a golfer the hotel is a great base for touring the area and ww1 battlefield sites and memorials. We had a lovely view from our room over the golf course. The only thing that spoilt the room (number 4) was the carpet, it was really badly stained and needed a good clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a good choice of food for breakfast. We dined in the golf club restaurant and hotel restaurant and both meals were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

This hotel is set on its own golf course and is a delight for any golfer although be aware of slow play ! The Golf club and bar are excellent. The bar in the Hotel is also good but the restaurant is not so good. There are only a few choices for each course and it is never full (except for breakfast) so there is no atmosphere. If you want a good meal speak to the bar staff about restaurants in town and get a taxi.

There is a bus stop near the hotel, but you can be in the town centre in 15 minutes by car. A place you must visit is the Canadian National Memorial & Park near Vivy. Only 15 minutes away by car.

This is a well appointed hotel in a quiet, attractive setting, but attention to detail is lacking: no t-p in the bathroom and none delivered to the room when requested - we were obliged to pick up a roll from the front desk ourselves; extra pillows were unavailable; the dining room was closed the night we were there. Très belle expérience au Fairway Hôtel à Arras. L’hôtel est récent, très propre et décoré avec goût. La chambre était confortable, bien aménagée et très calme, avec une literie de qualité. La salle de bain est moderne et parfaitement entretenue.

Le personnel est particulièrement accueillant et attentionné, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable.

Au moment du départ, une coupure de courant indépendante de l’hôtel s’est produite, mais l’équipe a su gérer la situation avec beaucoup de professionnalisme et de gentillesse. L’accueil est resté irréprochable.

Excelente com algumas ressalvas

Otima experiencia num golf hotel!
Minhas unicas críticas sao em relaçao a falta de limpeza no terraço dos quartos ( tínhamos 2 suites com terraço no terreo com vista para o campo de golf ). No terraço também há aranhas que dominam o cenario das paredes e teto.. sao centenas!
Outro detalhe é da porta de saída da sala de minha suite
( Slice ) que estava com problemas para trancar.

Todo o restante foi otimo!!

Grande chambre moderne avec du rangement, un frigo, une bonne literie et une belle et grande salle de bain. Fontaine à eaux dans le couloir mais manque une carafe ou une bouteille en chambre pour pouvoir l'utiliser facilement. Personnel sympa, bon wifi et parking gratuit. Le spa est super mais la piscine est un peu trop fraiche et l'eau fournie sur place est à température ambiante. Dommage qu'on entende un peu le bruit de la route dans la chambre.
