Very basic hotel but clean and comfortable, especially given then low price. Fine for a 1 night stay. Easy walk to the centre of Braga. Parking is a little dificult to find, but staff on the front desk are very helpful

Ja estive em hoteis de 5 estrelas com muito menos tamanho e muito mais caro que este, me surpreendir , ficamos mesmo ao lado da estação, dava de ver o trem ir e vir, mas nao ouviamos nenhum barulho, as senhoras do salão de café da manhã, sao muito bem humoradas e fazem Um timo trabalho, as meninas da receção tiraram todas as minhas duvidas, senhoras da limpeza do quarto sempre trabalhando e atentas a limpeza ! Muito obrigada! Suer recomendo para pais com crianças!

Reasonable size room. Bed comfortable could do with another fold up luggage stand. Reception staff were good. Continental breakfast was good. Meal at attached restaurant was good and good value.
Cons. Air con was noisy. We were not advised about how to get through the boom gate before arrival, and parked outside and wife walked some distance to reception to find out how to get past boom gate and checkin.

Located right beside the Braga train station, within a 10 minute walk to the arch entering the historic centre. So many sights to see. The air conditioning wasn’t working the two nights we were there, and did report it, but luckily it was cool at night, so slept with the window open (we were on the 6th floor). Elevator was a luxury! Very basic hotel room, nothing fancy but clean enough and bed was comfortable.

Enjoyed a one night stay at Basic Braga in a family room which was clean and comfortable enough at a very competitive price.

The room was a good size and looked to have been recently decorated, although similar to other hotels in Portugal lighting is sparse.. The bathroom could do with an update and lino covered the room rather than carpet, however this turned out to be very useful after coming back soaking wet from a walk around Braga!

The hotel is attached to the train station, but no issue with noise as the room was well insulated..

Overall if you are looking for hotel without frills but with the essentials, the Basic Braga is a good, value for money option.

I liked everything and thé Team is fantastic !!! I need to do thé photocopies of thé papiers and They did it without cost for me ... when I asked for something ... immediately ... They answered it me and with thé smile !!! Thé riooms are very confortable and thé price is no at all expensif !!! Even in the « high saison... there is a very good small restaurant inside ... where you can eat very well and it’s not expensif too ... I appreciated a lot !!!

You can't ask much more for the price... Everything worked just fine, from elevators to showers or lighting. Small rooms, but quite confortable. Staff was kind and efficient. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from main streets, be it for shopping or nightlife. Ample parking with private access (5 euros a day), under the adjacent railway station.

The hotel is basic so is exactly as described. It's clean, close to the city centre and the train station and the staff are very friendly. I didn't use the restaurant or have breakfast so can't comment on that but it all looked very nice and was well used by other guests. There is no kettle, fridge or hairdryer in the room I stayed in. The bed was comfortable and I slept well here. If you want a budget base from which to explore then you can't go wrong here and you can spend the money saved on exploring!

No problems. Check in and check out smooth and efficient - and friendly. Didn't use dinner restaurant or hotel parking, as no problems getting free street parking nearby. Good breakfast. Good location for visiting Braga - and it's located right beside the railway station. Only hassle was shower curtain rail fell down twice and had to call reception each time.

The hotel is right next to the train station, although you can't hear it. The hostoric area is only a 15 minutes walk. The room is small but really comfortable and cheap, so it's a perfect compromise. I would go back anytime!

Super-convenient right next the the train station. Not a happening or pretty location of course but a quick 5-10 minute walk to the town centre. Room was very basic but clean and comfortable, great value for the price. Breakfast could use some improvement though, basically bread and cereal.

Great Location

I had booked the room by mistake and it was too late to make changes so we made the best of the situation. I had intended to stay somewhere close to Porto and fortunately, the hotel was right by the station that takes you directly to Porto. The location by the station made the hotel an ideal place to stay, but otherwise the town of Braga doesn't really have much.

Great location for exploring Braga

We took the train from Porto to Braga and decided to stay at the Basic Braga Hotel because of its location next to the train station which would be convenient for the follow on train trip to Lisbon. The hotel is actually located behind the station and is accessible from inside the station. Did not notice this entrance until we left for the trip to Lisbon. This entrance actually leads into the hotel restaurant and from there to the lobby. If you walk around from the outside after exiting the train station, then turn left behind the taxi stand. The hotel is not marked very well. The entrance sits off in a corner and is marked by a large white Letter H. The hotel was clean with comfortable beds and reasonably priced and the location to town was perfect. It really is only a short walk to town. I was traveling with my daughter and we never felt unsafe, even when we returned in the dark. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was ok, but we preferred the small Cafe across the street. Internet avcess was good and there was a $2 charge per day for internet access.

Best Low Cost Hotel

We were there for the UEFA Cup Game Braga-Besiktas.
Very nice and simple designed rooms, kindly and helpfull staff. They never say no.. They're just offering similar if they can not do. This is an important thing which makes a hotel stayable.
Thank you so much for Front Office staff especially to Nadia, say hi to Braga Fan Barman :) and thank you again for all time..
You just had good friends from Istanbul.I hope you can come to Istanbul and if you can, don't forget to visit The Marmara Sisli :)

Basic Braga by Axis - ideal to walk into the town

next to the station with plenty of trains to other parts of Portugal but it is not noisy as trains stop at night and all rooms have excellent double double glazing so do not let the station put you off. In 5 minutes you are in the centre of the town with really good shops and superb restaurants close by at reasonable prices. The christmas decorations in town were magnificent and were switched on at the start of December. Staff were excellent and for value it is excellent, as well as having very secure underground paking if you have a car. We had a great stay. In and around the city there are lots of interesting baroque style building and you can use public transport for ones just outside the town

The location next to the station and only 10 minutes walk to the city centre make it so convenient. It is quiet though and the secure underground parking great if you have a car(no real need as good buses to places of interest). The place is really clean and staff so helpful. Christmas lights in town were fantastic(check as they may not be there next year). If in Porto it is well worth a few days in Braga and this is a great place to choose.

The hotel was located literally right next to the central train station - there's a door leading straight to the hotel from Platform 1, although I didn't realise this initially!

The hotel was surprisingly good for a budget hotel - the room and public areas were clean and the room was a reasonable size, and the receptionist was polite and very helpful.

My only problem was with the air conditioning system - I had to leave the fan on all night to prevent the room from getting too hot, and even at the lowest setting, the fan was blowing quite hard. I'm not even sure if I was using the system correctly, as changing the thermostat setting seemed to have no effect. Perhaps the system needs fixing, or some instructions need to be included for guests.

It was a nice hotel, I enjoyed my stay. Its very conveniently located (right next to the train station and 5-mins walk to city centre) and is brand new. Staff have been very helpful, their in-hotel service prices are also very competitive. Would stay again...

Camera pulita, personale gentile e disponibile. Unica nota stonata è l'accesso al parcheggio: non è facile realizzare al volo e nel traffico che si deve entrare nel parcheggio esterno della stazione e farsi aprire la sbarra per arrivare alla reception... Andrebbe indicato meglio. Per il resto, una volta capito da dove si entra, è molto comodo.

Sempre uma estadia sem surpresas, nem positivas nem negativas, e é muito bom saber o que te espera e ser correspondido em sua expectativa. Hotel simples, duas estrelas, mas poderia ser facilmente um três estrelas. Restaurante excelente, sempre cheio, que serve diárias no almoço com sopa, bebida, prato principal, sobremesa e café a 9 euros. O cardápio que muda a cada dia, com ótimas opções, está fixado no elevador. Importante ficar atento ao fato de que a administração do restaurante é independente da administração do hotel. O quarto é muito simples, com cama de casal pequena, e pouco espaço. A ducha do banheiro é de difícil manejo e por vezes teima em ficar em uma posição incomoda. O mais importante: como fica dentro da Estação de Comboios (trens) é perfeito para quem precisa de uma estadia curta. Perto do centro de Braga. Relação custo-benefício muito boa. Sempre que posso fico nele em curtas estadias.

Nada a reportar relativamente à limpeza. A única situação que merece reparo é o facto do hotel estar cheio de jovens (suponho atletas) (nada contra) mas o seus comportamentos eram barulhentos, nomeadamente baterem na porta do quarto ao lado para abrirem.

El hotel tiene una excelente ubicación junto a la estación del metro y a 5 minutos del centro histórico. El deayuno es muy bueno y variado. El restaurante tiene ofrece un menú del día con buenas opciones y también a la carta y superó nuestras expectitivas. Una excelente opción muy recomendada. Tiene acceso a un parking subterraneo por un costo adicional, bajo en realidad, muy seguro.

O Hotel ao lado da estação de trens , com muitas facilidades .
Bom quarto , com equipamentos novos , apesar de já precisar de alguns reparos .
Parte da iluminação estava queimada .
Chuveiro excelente , ótimas roupas de cama , toalhas .o Serviço de quarto impecável .
Camareiras todos os dias arrumam os quartos como na chegada , perfeito . Gosto muito disso !

Gute, zentrale Unterkunft. Sehr praktisch ist der hoteleigene Bereich im Parkhaus des Bahnhofs für 5 € die Nacht. Frühstück ist günstig (5 €) und für den Preis gut. Leider liegt das Hotel direkt an der Autobahn, sodass es sehr laut ist und man auch mit geschlossenem Fenster die Straße deutlich hört. Für 1, 2 Nächte gut, für einen längeren Aufenthalt und für Ruhe, würde ich ein anderes Hotel empfehlen.
