The staff were very kind and courteous. But we were informed not have food in the room which was very surprising and never had such kind of rules stated to us in any of the places were we stayed.
However the rooms were well kept and the staff were very generous.

I was very disappointed with the service at this hotel. The staff were not accommodating at all. My husband made a simple request for hot water and was turned away with a flat-out “no.” We weren’t asking for anything unreasonable, just a basic courtesy you’d expect from any hotel. This lack of hospitality really soured our experience. We won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to others based on how poorly we were treated.

Sobre evaluado por precio. Hotel 2 estrellas diria yo. Limpio y en buen estado pero nada lujoso, basico.
Desayuno basico, solo harinas basicamente, alimentos no disponibles a menos que se soliciten con tiempo para poder tenerlos en la cena, de lo contrario no hay comida.
Check out a las 10 am, cuando los hoteles tienen un check out a las 12. Asi que cobran 1 noche que no es ni 24 hrs.

Facilities a bit old and run down, but still liveable. Breakfast was a little too sweet, mostly cakes and sweet breads.

Receptionist is friendly and helpful, helped us with the booking of taxi to El Calafate Airport. There is a shortcut to the main town, which is pretty convenient, about a 8 minute walk down to the town but a bit challenging to walk at night.... roads in el calafate are pretty muddy.

Can't handle that air freshener.

Check-in was a cold experience, the room reeked of air freshener so we immediately opened the window despite the cold weather to try to air it out a bit, carpet was gross and bed was hard, can't comment on the shower because we woke up to a power outage that seemed to be limited to just this building and it didn't feel worth it to shower with a headlamp on. To their credit they still served breakfast by flashlight/candle, it was standard fare. Wouldn't stay here again - there are better institutions and locations near restaurants/shops for comparable prices.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and similar to others we experienced travelling through Argentina (heavy on carbs/pastries and cafe con leche). The street the hotel sits on is one where construction has stalled on several projects. Luckily it is a quick walk to all the restaurants and shops.

Clean room, very modern, all amenities. Good buffet breakfast. However disappointing front staff. At check-in the front staff did not explain properly how the lights worked in the room and at check-out front staff did not book taxi when asked to the night before. He reassured me that he would book the taxi service the night before but he did not and I had to organize another taxi last minute and was late for flight. Not good

The room we got is a bit dim because of faulty bulbs, which looks like has been this for ages. Hotel refuse to change the room or replace the bulbs. Continental breakfast with no fruits. Used to be part of Best Western hotel chain, Eco Vista. A bit far out (15 - 25 mins walk) from the city center. If you arrive from the bus terminal, quite unlikely you will find this place by walking as it is on a hill and you need to climb some flights of stairs.

Faulty lights not replaced. Room looks dark. Breakfast is the same everyday. No hot foods or fruits for breakfast. Bed is alright but no housekeeping unless you requested for it. Hotel a bit far out from the town center, about 15 - 20 mins walk down the steel staircase.

Almost everything was OK, but nothing special. And one bad experience. We had a morning bus from El Calafate before the breakfast, so we asked them, if they can prepare them for us earlier. Despite the fact that they told us that the breakfast will be ready, they were not. In the morning there was just one guy who does not spoke English. He was preparing the breakfast for the regular time, so we had only that what he can prepare before we leave...and he was not interested in our earlier leaving.

Strange place, but was actually comfortable

If you want value for money and location book a hostel, this place was on the edge of an unfinished and desolate looking industrial park, about 1km from town.

We arrived after a long day, to find that our rooms were not ready (6pm), as the young man on reception struggled to find our reservation, but I suspect it was more of an attitude problem, shame as I thought that we only had this problem back home...

OK, the room was clean and comfortable but strangely enough the television was missing from the trail of wires that once serviced it.

Our rooms were on the ground floor, and with the general reception area din in the evening and first thing in the morning meant that if you need more than 7 hours of quiet per night then forget it, as the noise is considerable.

Good hotel to stay in, at first confusing to receive our expedia booking, but beware of confusing this hotel MP Suites from the Marco Polo \"Inn\" which is a hostel a couple of blocks away with zero english speaking personnel. Definitely a good option in Calafate.

After being nearly charged high season rates over twice the price of hotels.com, we booked in the hotel and from having no vacancies got a 4 bed room instead of a double. Facilities are basic more a feel of a hostel. 5 minute walk from centre of El calafate down the metal steps of the hill. Staff were friendly but not very well prepared. Breakfast was OK.

little chicago in patagonia?

the problem with this hotel is finding it. be sure you know whether you are
going to marcopolosuites or marcopolo hosteria and get a detailed map
as the streets are not marked. the suites in particular are easy to access either
by car or from town--they are right on an enormous highway that's an old
airstrip. but there's no way of knowing this a priori or at least it wasn't indicated
to me on my expedia reservation. the staff are courteous, helpful, willing to
communicate in english and patient with my atrocious spanish. and about
el calafate in general--it was so windy when we were here that we needed
windbreakers and had to dress for much cooler temperatures than the
thermometers claimed. the wind is less extreme in the town than at the hostels
which are on high ground on the way into town.

Hotel bem localizado, um local ideal para se locomover, pela cidade, longe de barulhos. Café é um pouco estranho ao se cobrar um simples ovos mexidos. No check-in o atendimento é bem ríspido com relação ao horário, voce precisa sai no horário estabelecido em contrato, isso é um problema serio para que esta em viagens longas com crianças. Sao políticas do estacionamento que precisa ser revistas.

Fomos muito bem atendidos, o recepcionistada tarde/noite muito simpático e prestativo. O cafe da manhã bom, faltou um ovo ou uma proteina. Para chegar no centro tem uma escadaria de uns 100 degraus, porém nada desanimador. Não permitem comida dentro do hotel somente do restaurante.

Una verguenza este hotel! Llegamos y literalmente estaba cerrado. Nadie nos atendía el teléfono. Tenemos fotos y videos donde consta que nadie nos atendió. Cuando reclamo a Hoteles.com dicen que 72 hs antes debemos llamar para coordinar la reserva. Si es así y estoy haciendo una reserva para el mismo dia por que me aceptan el pago? Por supuesto que nadie se hace cargo de nada y tuve que ir a otro alojamiento.

El hotel es parte de una cadena, así que hay cosas que ya tiene resueltas. La habitación es correcta y bien puesta, al igual que el baño (aunque con la moda actual de poner jabón líquido en vez de pastillas). Tal vez las dos cosas que más eché en falta en la habitación son un cepillo para el inodoro y que las mesas de luz tuvieran tomacorrientes. Que esos sean los dos únicos defectos del establecimiento habla de que, en líneas generales, es muy correcto.

El desayuno, como se acostumbra en Argentina en esta categoría, es un poco escaso y consiste básicamente en panificados y café o té. También ofrecen la opción de comprar viandas, en caso de tener una excursión de todo el día.

Lo único desaconsejable del hotel para huéspedes con poca movilidad es que hay que subir varios pisos de escalera entre la calle principal de la ciudad y la calle donde se encuentra el hotel, porque está sobre una meseta. También se puede subir por una calle vehicular, pero exige un desvío de varias cuadras. Cualquier persona más o menos saludable lo puede hacer, pero hay que tenerlo en cuenta.

Localizado na pista do antigo aeroporto da cidade. Próximo ao mirante da cidade, mas uma boa caminhada de 15 minutos até o centro da cidade...só se prepare para a subida no trecho final. Bem próximo ao Terminal Rodoviário e fica na parte alta da cidade; apesar de um pouco afastado, tem fácil acesso para o centro da cidade descendo as escadarias metálicas.

Péssima experiência!

Hotel muito mal cuidado, com lençóis e toalhas rasgadas, maçanetas estragadas, cortinas e abajures caindo, secador de cabelo estragado. Quando entramos no quarto havia fios de cabelos na banheira. Esses cabelos continuaram lá por dois dias!
Além disso, o hotel fica na parte alta da cidade e para se chegar ao centro, onde estão todos os restaurantes e lojas, há uma escadaria com 110 degraus. Não fomos avisados disso.

La.1ra impresion del hotel es buena: la entrada y fachada exterior. Hasta que se ingresa a la habitacion.
Eramos tres personas. La habitacion deprimente faltaban lamparitas de luz en el baño y en los veladores. La bacha del baño rajada, la puerta del placard rota. Tenia una mesa que lo ocupaba un televisor viejo no dejando lugra para apoyar bolso o cartera. Y una sola silla.
Realmente caro por el tipo de habitacion.
Otro detalle: las paredes parecen de papel. Todo se escucha.

Nuevas instalaciones

Aunque es \" nuevo\" las instalaciones están deterioradas. Su desayuno es raquítico y malo. Prácticamente no hay wifi, no llega a las habitaciones. Lo único salvable es su personal el cual es muy amable y hace todo lo posible porque sea un poquito menos malo.

Muito bom hotel. A calefação funciona mesmo. Dormi só com lençol. Bem próximo do centrinho de El Calafate.Café da manhã com frutas, raridade na Patagônia ! Algumas pessoas reclamaram da Morenoescadaria no caminho para o centrinho. Perto das escadarias do Glaciar Perito é fichinha. Se não gostam de escadas não vão para El Calafate ( e nem Ushuaia).

Quarto grande, confortável, limpo, banheiro espaçoso, excelente sistema de calefação.
Porém se situa numa área mais afastada do centro, deserta, que para deslocar a pé inclui descer e subir 110 degraus para a parte baixa da cidade que dá acesso ao centro.
O check out obrigatório é feito às 10h, não sendo muito maleáveis na negociação. Custei a conseguir uma tolerância até às 11h. Na primeira noite me ligaram da recepção no meio da madrugada, perguntando se eu tinha ligado lá.
São prestativos.
O café da manhã é bem limitado: café ruim, para comer somente pão de forma e medialuna de doce.

Calafate WOW!!!

Los alrededores del hotel son muy tranquilos y aunque en sus cercanías (misma calle por ejemplo) no hay restaurantes, si hay muy buena accesibilidad del centro de la ciudad.
Se cuenta con una escalinata de 111 escalones que nos lleva a la calle principal en minutos. Me gustó.
No olvide visitar CAFE DON LUIS un excelente lugar para un cafecito.

El personal del hotel muy atento y amable. Lo recomiendo 100%

Relação custo-benefício não vale a pena.

A experiência não foi das mais agradáveis.As condições do quarto deixaram a desejar (pintura, cortinas de banheiro e mobiliário). É possível se ouvir tudo que é conversado nos quartos ao lado e em cima. Tive que acionar a portaria para que os hóspedes de um quarto ao lado falassem mais baixo após as 23:00 horas.

La único complicado es llegar al centro para el que va sin auto, quedaba cerca. Hay que bajar 111 escalones y luego subirlos. También se puede ir por otras calles pero se tarda mas y también la subida es complicada. Pero desde esos escalones tiene una vista maravillosa y se llega a una plaza muy linda. Después todo fue excelente.

Boa localização

O hotel tem boa localização, muito próximo da área central. Os quartos em geral são bons, porém o secador de cabelo disponibilizado não funcionava e o problema não foi solucionado. Café da manhã bom mas com poucas opções. O serviço de transfer oferecido pelo hotel que consta no voucher é pago, apesar dessa informação não estar expressa.

Les chambres communiquent, avec une cloison en bois en guise de séparation, on entend les voisins comme s'ils étaient dans votre chambre ! Sans parler des serrures défaillantes, et des rideaux accrochés avec des trombones.
Nous avons voulu dîner un soir à l'hôtel, avant de réserver nous avons demandé ce qui était compris dans le prix du menu. réponse de l'employé: une entrée, le plat principal et une boisson sans alcool, le dessert étant facturé en plus. Sur la table, un petit pot de fromage fondu et quatre croûtons ( c'était l'entrée!!! ) la bouteille d'eau nous a été facturée et en plus la mauvaise foi du gérant qui nous a dit que ce n'était pas cher et que si nous insistions il allait retenir le prix de l'eau sur le salaire de son employé! Hôtel à éviter, Passez votre chemin.

Sehr gut gelegen nahe zentrum und doch abseits.

Sehr sauber, reception englisch sprechend, frühstück mininal, lunchpaketservice, zimmer sehr gross jedoch sehr hellhörig.

Bom custo benefício

Custo benefício bastante correto, o quarto era bastante amplo e o banheiro também confortável. Tem um problema importante de isolamento acústico, era possível ouvir toda a conversa dos quartos ao lado e os sons da recepção. Boa localização, cerca de 10 minutos de caminhada a avenida principal com o detalhe de ter que subir/descer uma escadaria.
