Fantastic stay if you have ZERO tattoos. A simple flower tattoo on your leg will get you thrown out of the pool and they will tell you not to go on the beach as well. Usually hotels provide bandaid like covers - like Disney Tokyo. While the hotel is lovely to look at it makes it hard to enjoy when you don’t have the appropriate cover for your ankle tattoo. You can walk around in as skimpy of a swimsuit as you want in the lobby but a tattoo will be the end all?
Food was over priced for what it was. The steakhouse is $250 USD a person. Staff was very friendly minus enforcing hotel rules that are potentially outdated - even for Japan. The hotel did not confirm our hotels.com email requesting a tour and booked it without confirming then cancelled. Would have been helpful if they responded in the email/app. Your potential hotels.com credit will only work in the restaurants,not room.

Potential typhoon cancelled most water sports outside of the pool so keep that in mind if one is expected during your stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the view from the room was absolutely wonderful. However, it was a bit disappointing that there wasn't enough information about the shuttle bus schedule at the bus stop, which caused some inconvenience.

Although it is a beach front hotel, we never got a chance to swim in mid May due to low tide. There is a very small area that is roped off for guests to swim. Very disappointed that we never got to swim at the beach. We only enjoyed the view from the room.

The hotel grounds were amazing. We had a terrace room, that was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. We ate in most of the hotel's restaurants, and they were good but not great. Overall I would stay there again.

The property is very nice and clean and the staff is exceptional but it's not a 5 star hotel. The pools and beach swim area close around 5 and the restaurants are exceptionally expensive even for a resort. The most beautiful beach is in front of this hotel and you are allowed to swim in 10% of it. The rest of the beach is dedicated to jet ski traffic. This is insane. Also don't expect drink or food service by the pool. This doesn't exist here.

Good sunset view and nice & clean facilities. The problem for this luxury hotel resort is the mind of hotel management who does not have much experience exploring other world resort. Most of facility close down at 18:00 (beach on 17::00, swimming pool on 18:00, even fitness room on 19:00). I booked this resort at Okinawa (after several days tour) through Expedia (with good recommendation) so this pricy resort should be deserve... but nowhere to go in this resort (after sun goes down) because all outdoor facilities closed down. Very funny... it feels like client should enjoy day-time hot weather and then go to room after 18:00 (they do not like to work after 18:00) at holiday resort. So I was wandering around outside hotel (after breakfast) whole day (i do not want to be locked in outdoor pool on hot weather day and the beach in front is also limited to use (with buoy line - no fish in there) for public beach and back to Terrace hotel after 20:00 because i knew nothing in there after 18:00.
Very terrible experience... most of hotel guest is Japanese, Taiwanese and Korean. Can't understand they do not complain about this kind ridiculous operation time.
Hotel management should think it over (below operation time):

We had an incredible stay at Busena Terrace and would certainly come stay again and recommend to anyone. We are a family of 4 with two teenagers so we booked two sea view rooms. The rooms had amazing views and a small terrace. Large size rooms with a generous size bathroom. Nice sprawling facilities with two great outdoor pools and an indoor pool as well as a beach area with beach nets to keep out jellyfish. Location of the property was great for island exploring which allowed us to get to the Aquarium and to several important historical and military sites as well as Naha. Also, the hotel had good food options on site (on the pricier side) and had good food options nearby with a 5-10 minute cab ride or 25 minute walk away (with easy/safe sidewalks). The highlight was a super helpful staff with special mention to Ohashi. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a really pleasant stay; this included finding and helping us make reservations for dinner each night as well as arranging a driver one day to see a bunch of sites, as well as booking two different snorkeling tours (one to Minna island and one closer to the hotel). We and the kids loved the Minna island trip so much that we immediately booked a skin diving trip for our second to last day! While the staff had limited understanding of English, we made good use of translation devices to communicate and they were more than patient and accommodating! Highly recommend!

They also offer a free shuttle to the airport which requires reservation and the bus driver is a G !! For driving such tiny streets… tattoos are not welcomed by the way. Breakfast buffet was so good!

Everything’s just as described, the spectacular view, comfortable wind and cozy atmosphere are surely one of the best place you want to spend your time relaxing. Gratitude to the staff there, we were warmly welcomed and hardly needed to worry about anything. I left a ring after checked out and returned in the evening, the hotel staffs were very helpful and found me the ring very quickly while I was just waiting at the terrace enjoying the sunset. Would definitely come back and stay for longer duration.

The place was amazing!!! I went with my mum and 8 month baby. If you are travelling with a baby it is a place I will recommend to stay as you can ask for a baby crib and also stroller(it is recommended to reserve it before your stay). In addition, they will warm your baby food as well as you can order baby food as room service.

Very much its own resort, which has pros and cons
This is a really beautiful resort, it's very lovingly looked after by the gracious staff, I don't agree with the other reviewers who say the property is old/dated, I thought it felt perfectly suited to its intended purpose of being a relaxing and peaceful getaway.
If you want to spend your days sitting poolside or on a beautiful beach, this is the kind of place to do that.
Remember though that this resort is an hour away from Naha and about 45 minute to Chatan (where American Village is), so you really do need your own car if you want to spend any time outside the resort and it will be a considerable drive to get to most destinations. This is especially the case for food, I found the restaurant options a bit limited and expensive, and they weren't serving anything poolside in the afternoons I was there.
This is again a really beautiful property and great for people that are happy to stay on site and relax for a few days, but more adventurous travelers should probably consider a place closer to Naha or spend only part of their trip in this resort.

하와이랑 자꾸 비교하게 됩니다. 결론은 하와이와 유사한 뷰와 환경을 갖고있으며 일본특유의 관리가 잘 어우러진 고급 스런 곳 입니다. 와이키키처럼 붐비지 않고 오히려 다른 조용한 섬 느낌이에요. 여느 일본의 숙박시설들이 새로 짓지 않은이상 오래된 느낌이 있지요. 그러나 매우 깨끗하고 관리가 잘 되는 숙소 입니다. 체크인은 서서하지 않고 라운지에 편하게 앉아 웰컴드링크와 함께 서비스를 받을 수 있습니다. 직원들은 모두가 웃으면서 맞이해주었습니다. 룸은 깨끗하고 탈고 브랜드의 어메니티도 잘 되어 있습니다. 수압은 좋고 뜨거운물도 잘 나옵니다. 5월방문시에는 벌레도 딱히 없었습니다. 숙소에서 직접 운영하는 무료 셔틀버스로 주변의 엑티비티를 즐기기 좋습니다. 프라이빗 해변(무료 선베드), 수영장(실내는 따뜻함), 다양한 유료 엑티비티는 지내는동안 지루하지 않게 해 줄것이며, 엑티비티들은 생각보다 합리적인 가격에 이용할 수 있습니다. 수영장에는 작은 미끄럼틀도 있습니다. 아쉬운점은 동남아 호텔들 처럼 수영장에서 뭐 칵테일이나 안주 먹는 사람이 없었어요.. 그런 서비스가 없는거 같습니다. 맥주정도 사다먹는 것은 가능.. 무료 발렛이기는 하나 매일 1,000엔이 숙박비에 추가됨을 참고하세요. 어느 호텔이 그렇지만 피크시간의 인다이닝에서 지연됨을 피하시려면 미리 주문하시길.. 저녁 인다이닝보다는 점심 인다이닝이 개인적으로 더 좋았습니다. 조식은 무난했고 일부 아이템들이 매일 바뀌어서 지겹지 않았습니다. 조식뷰도 좋았음. 바다를 끼고있는 전반적으로 위치와 뷰는 정말로 좋지만, 그 흔한 편의점이 주변에 없고 (내부 편의점은 20시 종료 및 제한적인 물건) 외부 식사등을 위해서는 렌트카가 필수 입니다. 가까운 편의점이나 식당은 차로 10분 거리에 있습니다. 츄라우미까지 약 40분 걸립니다. 있는동안 석양이 정말 최고였습니다. 호텔 모든 곳에서 석양은 여기가 최고입니다. 다른 세계 3대 석양맛집 저리가라 할 정도로 이 호텔의 석양도 만만치 않았고, 석양에 라이브음악을 매일매일 수영장에서 연주하는데 발코니에서 맥주한캔에 천국입니다. 아무튼 주변에 편의점 식당이 없는것 빼고는 흔잡을 곳 없었습니다.

It was a great stay overall. Very relaxing time we had. We wished they offered little more food selection difference in morning buffet. It seems too similar everyday (pancake or French toast difference, omelet meat was slightly different) felt like for the third day, it needed come change… also crow comes to get your food on table. So it need to be careful. But we had great stay here and Okinawa. We will definitely go back.

We had a pleasant stay at this property. The hotel is managed in a very Japanese way with all the pros and cons that come with that. People are extremely friendly, it’s very clean and well organized. The flip side is that on-site restaurants need to be booked in advance, everything is very bureaucratic (require in person coordination) and excursions are a bit hard to organize especially if one doesn’t have a car or doesn’t speak Japanese. But location and the food of 2 restaurants is very good so def recommended.

Despite the current pandemic and state of emergency, we enjoyed our stay at the Busena Terrace. It was quiet, not crowded, clean, comfortable, and close to many places to eat and visit. We, especially, enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet! We loved all the hotel signature foods! My only suggestion would be to upgrade some of the furniture in the room. Some were already rusted and old-looking for a 4.5 star hotel.
