Great location in Okayama, right near the station and across from a great area for bars and restaurants.
Was tricky to find initially from the station, but once you know the route its easy to go back and forth.

Staff were very friendly and polite helping with holding bags before check in, amenities and changing money for the laundry.

Room was typical Japan size so not much space to move around, but was only used for sleeping and resting as so much to explore in the city.

Laundry was easy to use and there's an app on the TV that shows if the wash cycle is finished so you dont need to remember the timing yourself which is useful.

The room was oddly shaped like a L and the toilet was one step too elevated to be safe. Nighttime toilet visits could get dangerous if you misstep in your sleepiness. The room opens up into a narrow corridor with the bed right at the end in a bigger space.

Other than that, the location is splendid and shopping/food is readily available nearby, in fact BIC is just below the hotel. Good for a night's stay. Hotel staff are very helpful and speak English well. Pls continue with your excellent service.

PS: To enter the hotel, turn right at the junction when you cross over from the train station and go round the building until you arrive at the hotel lobby.

The in-house laundry facility is convenient. The room looks outdated: the steps into the bathroom can be risky for older people. The bathtub is too deep and has no grab bars. The staff can be quite unhelpful. We asked for a room change to a room with a shower outside of the tub. We were charged extra ¥ 12,000 plus for the new room. The explanation given was because the new room was designated as a smoking room and we had asked for a non smoking. I was not convinced. I would not use this hotel again.

We accidentally booked a smoking room which wasn’t great for us but they were full and couldn’t change our room. The room we were in was very dated, the smoke smell didn’t help so it felt like an old motel. the tv was on the desk which wasn’t facing the beds so you had to sit on the little uncomfortable couch to watch shows. Our room was near a family with a young child and we could hear them quite loudly. Not sure the sound proofing is that great? Breakfast was so-so, not the best we’ve had during our travels in Japan. We’d prefer a buffet over having to select a course. I wouldn’t stay at this location again.

the stag is very helpful. It is a clean, quiet, comfortable room with basics toiletry needs. There are no other services except for the onsite restaurant. This is fine however I was not use to looking for this detail. The location is perfect for access to public transport. Overall enjoyed my stay with them.

Great location

It has a great location which have a bic camera at the first floor of the hotel. Also it is connected with Okayama Station via a underpass. It's great that I can prevent to go out from frozen environment. Also room is larger than staff are helpful as well :)

An older but well-kept building that is showing some wear. But our room was comfortable, and the staff was super kind and so helpful even with a little bit of a language barrier. Our triple room was a good size and overlooked the train station. We enjoyed sitting in the big window and watching the trains go by. There is a big step going into and out of the bathroom which took a little getting used to. We didn’t try breakfast, because there were many options close by.

The hotel is close to the train station. You can get to it in the underground. Which is nice if it raining. The hotel is in need of an update. Plus if you are tall you will need to duck lots.

Honestly, it caught us off guard that it was a 5 min walk from Okayama main station. Easy lunge luggages, they take your luggage if your early. Very easy access to station. Very clean, staff are super nice. Easiest check in and check out. Rooms are big compare Tokyo, could lay out luggages comfortably and wide open. Beds are comfy and big. Great view, and safe.

I used coin laundry, but it takes too long to finish a whole process (almost 2 hours), and I used extra money to dry again as all of my clothes were damped. Even I put extra 30 minutes for dryer, but it was still damped. They should change machines.

I stayed at Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama with my family. After staying multiple nights, I can say that the hotel was much more than I had anticipated (Initially I had just needed to book a reasonable hotel to stay near my parents' home). Yes, the hotel is a bit dated (big step into the bathroom, for example), but it is renovated and kept clean. The staff members were professional and friendly. When I went to our hotel room, there was cigarette smell (we requested a non-smoking room when booked), I told the front desk and was assigned another room in a minute. In the new room, the refrigerator was not working properly. Again, I called the front desk, I got a brand new refrigerator in a flash! All the staff members I interacted with are professional and pleasant and catered to my needs. I did not eat breakfast at this hotel. But there are many stores around. I loved Mr. Donuts (so good) and going to convenience stores nearby. When I needed to buy gifts for family and friends, I went to Takashimaya department store (small but good). Lots of shops and restaurants near the station (Sanste & Ichibangai attached to the station). Starbucks in Ichibangai (Under the station). Also, 7 minute-walk to Aeon Mall (4th biggest mall in Japan, I heard). Though located on a busy street, I was never bothered by a noise during my stay. I will go back!

We stayed just 1 night at this hotel. The room was very spacious- 2 adults and 1 child. The bathroom was spacious as well. The carpet was very outdated. The sofa had stains on it which made the room feel a bit dirty. Lobby is VERY small. Room was non smoking, but you could smell some residual smoke from the smoking rooms we felt like.

岡山駅、バス停、電車停に近く、観光に便利でした。フロントに、フェイスマスクやドリップコーヒーなどがあり、嬉しかったです。

宿泊した階の自販機や電子レンジが設置されている部屋があまりにもヘドロ臭くて、気分を害しました。製氷機の受け皿から匂いがしていた気がします。
電子レンジがあったが、とてもこれから食べるものを持ち込む気にはなれませんでした。
室内はきれいに清掃され、喫煙室でしたがきちんと消臭対応されていました。
ただ、壁には落書きや汚れがそのまま残ってありました。
