Noisy room, hard as rocks pillows! Not Good

Staff: do not speak English! Strick rule: check-in 3PM. Small 2 twin bedroom, hard as rocks pillows, hotel faces a highway that has a lot of traffic noise! No complimentary 2 bottles of water in room. Only plus: near train station.

This property is just a few minutes walk from the Okayama train station. The sign on the building is in Japanese only, so you're out of luck if you don't read Japanese. Right behind the hotel is a very lively area with tons of people milling about - bars, karaoke, restaurants, Japanese style hostess clubs, etc. Not a place for young kids. The room itself was clean and good wifi. I think it's a good value.

The hotel would be considered quite dated by some, but we thought that added to the charm of it! We especially liked the elevator that took you straight from the street up to your room floor, the laundry and vending machine area (which happened to be opposite our room) unexpected breakfast each day with the most amazing salted eggs, as well as baked goods and vegetable and orange juices. The staff were all so friendly and hospitable, especially the lovely lady who worked in the breakfast area.
You have to make sure your window is closed properly if your room is located on the side of the main road near the traffic light, otherwise it starts sounding like a cuckoo clock that is very annoying every time it goes off! Once we realised the windows could be even more securely shut, that dulled the noise somewhat. Also the bed was a little small for us as we are not wide people, but we are pretty tall with long limbs, however the bedding was cosy at least. The room was a great size, with space for two comfy chairs and a small table, as well as a larger desk area, but the bathroom was on the smaller side. The hotel is located in a great spot with amazing dining options - a restaurant is right downstairs, as well as a convenience store, plus a multitude of other dining options around this area. It was great to be able to walk to Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden from the hotel as well, and it wasn't too far from the main train station.

The hotel's location is superb. Walking distance to the train station and the tram line are short, and there are plenty of convenience stores around. The breakfast was western and simple; one frankly does not need more than that. One concern is security.

Anyone can access the lift on the 1st floor (road level) although check in and the lobby are on the 2nd floor. So an outsider can directly access any floor and room thereafter without being stopped, notwithstanding that CCTVs would pick up his/her movements.

Convenient location and clean budget hotel

It is not a luxury hotel so we didn't have any big expectations. Very small room and tiny bathroom. However, it is very clean and The location is very convenient. The room got very hot at some point but we guess we turned on what they call AC which might actually have been a heater? We are not really sure. The breakfast is simple but they have freshly baked pastry and bread. We enjoyed it.

It is a typical Japanese hotel. It offers a water boiler, a fridge, centralized lights control, washlet toilet, good Wi-Fi, etc. The hotel location is very convenient as it is close to the Okayama station for local and Shinkansen trains. Breakfast starts at 6:30. My room had views to the main street.

Twin beds are very comfortable but room is very dated with very small wardrobe and bathroom space. TV options limited to only Japanese channels. Option to make tea in room but no instant coffee avaible outside breakfast room. Laundry facility and WiFi are good and staff very helpful even though English is limited

The room was better than expected with a good stret view, an opening window and reasonably priced.

It was convenient to the Shinkansen station and there were cafes nearby

Breakfast was fine for a juice, coffee and danish eater but it wouldn't satisfy a trencherman.

Staff - as they seem to be at all Japanese hotels I've stayed in - were efficient, friendly and willing to assist even when English language was limited.

Great location, free breakfast.

I stayed here 4 nights and 5 minute walk to station and nearby to stores, restaurants, buses and streetcar to get to castle and garden. Was able to leave bag at reception all day after check out.
Quiet for sleeping as double glazed windows even though on main road which can be opened for fresh air. Bed ok. Only Japanese on TV. Free breakfast of boiled eggs, pastries, rolls, soup, juice,tea was ok. Asked at reception for another pillow and got a foam one but still pretty hard but that is the style in Japan.
Kettle would not turn off automatically and replaced quickly.
The sleep gown provided was polyester, not cotton as is normal, so did not use it.
Also you can't sleep in after 7.30am as they start to clean rooms after that, so you can hear corridor noises but not vacuuming.

Hardest part is finding it to check in as no English signage on street. When leaving station, walk on right hand side of road. Past Century 21 real estate office then just before the next street there are 2 sets of escalators to reception on level 2. If you get to the street with canal just turn around and walk back a few steps.
Recommended 3 star hotel.

Convenient and comfortable hotel in Okayama.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. As before, the staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and tidy though the usual Japanese average size. A buffet style breakfast was included. The Okayama Station is a 5 minute walk and close by are cafes and restaurants. Reasonably close by tram is Okayama Castle and the adjacent scenic gardens. A highly recommended hotel.

Reception did not speak English very well. The room was small not much space to move around. Breakfast was very limited in what was there to consume. Overall it seemed like a hotel that was short on luxuries. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Wont stay here if there's a better choice

Clean overall - but old and dated.
It wouldnt be my first choice; Internet intermittent and weak.

Super pricy for what it is; they took advantage of a temporary room shortage and charged me double the normal costs. Will not stay again.

Room is ok, typical japanese sized room. Heating is good in winter though it was slightly too warm for me so I opened the window slightly. Staff was quite helpful with maps and directions but was not able to help me return my wifi egg via post even though the envelope is already postage paid, i.e. just hand it over to their delivery man (which other hotels did).

Breakfast was very simple but as it is free, it was ok.

Decent hotel in Okayama

The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of Okayama, near shopping district and museums. The room was a typical Japanese, business-style room with hard beds and no frills. However, the hotel offers extras like laundry room and free breakfasts of fresh-baked breads, boiled eggs and coffee. If driving parking is a little difficult. If using the train the hotel is a short cab ride away.

The hotel is a couple blocks from the train station, directly down the main street. It is in good condition and very clean. The rooms were typically small as most Japanese rooms are.

The stay includes a breakfast which was one of the better ones we had. They have a selection of freshly baked pastries, eggs, soup, juice.

It is easy to catch the streetcar about a block from the hotel to take you anywhere in the city. Directly behind the hotel is a side street that is full of great restauraunts and shops and was a great lace to walk at night

The hotel is an easy 5 mins walk from the Okayama Station. It is a very good location; however, it could be a bid noise for a stay on the weekend due to the bars nearby. It provides very good breakfast, especially their secret recipe boiled eggs and the coffee. I have to mention that their coffee machine makes coffee with nicely layer coffee cream on top, which is a very good quality of coffee. We had a tiny issue with the air conditioner as it always turns into heat in the morning, so it was too hot for us in the morning. They also provide free luggage storage service which allow us to leave the luggage at the hotel after check out on Saturday morning so that we can travel to a hot spring hotel, and return and check in again on Monday morning. I would stay at this hotel again if I go to Okayama again.

No wifi was available so had to use lan cable to access internet. Breakfast was skimpy.....only a few bread rolls and some soup and coffee. Room was clean but the age of the hotel shows. Service was good overall. A Lawson convenience store is located right downstairs and hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Okayama train station.

Very affordable, clean hotel with excellent staff

The staff helped me with everything, even with my broken Japanese. They helped me to call a taxi driver in the morning, who they even had come inside to help me with my luggage. The room was small, but very clean, and came with a tea set for the morning!

Overall I enjoyed my stay. And if I had to stay there again, I would. However the room was VERY small. And there was background music playing. It turned off at night and came on at 7:00 am. I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. None of the controls seemed to do anything and removing my key from the key resting place (which acts as a sort of main switch for all electronics in the room) didn't do anything either.

Just two blocks away from Okayama Station, the Washington Plaza Hotel is an excellent choice for a yen-conscious traveler. The English-speaking hotel staff is extremely friendly and they had no problems finding my reservation through Expedia.com. Though the rooms are very small and bare, they are clean and well maintained. The hotel also offered a free complementary breakfast of broth, biscuits, and juice/coffee which was a real life saver after a long day of flights and traveling.

if i went by myself the double room would have been great but since i was traveling with my mother, it was a bit too cramped and we're both petite women. however, that said, it's nice that washington hotel plazas have nice little amenities such as electric tea kettles, hair dryers, little fridges, slippers, shampoos, soaps, etc.this particular one had free breakfast which is always great. close by a bigger train station which is a plus since taxis are a little on the pricy side. close by to some sight seeing places. definitely a good place for an over night stay.

Comfortable Hotel in a Quiet Neighbourhood

The check-in was quick and the staff were very nice. The hotel itself is in a very pleasant neighbourhood that's quiet and close to central Kobe. Rooms facing the park have big windows and a nice view of the city and mountains. The room was a bit dusty, but can be overlooked. Great hotel.

This is an old building very close to the railway station, next to a backstreet full of interesting restaurants. While the age of the building and interior is obvious, it is still well maintain and as usual in Japan spotlessly clean. As opposed to the description, internet access is free (and fast!).

When I arrived, they had no notice from Expedia regarding my reservation - but the super friendly staff simply told me not to worry, asked me what type of room I thought I had reserved, gave me the key and told me they'll sort it out. And they did.

A Great Budget Option

The ANA hotel down the road is much nicer, but since I didn't need to splash out, I went with the Washington Plaza instead. The location is great and the room is adequate. I really have nothing negative to say about it. It's a little old, but ideal for a budget traveler.

방과 화장실 모두 굉장히 깔끔하고 좋았습니다. 아침밥도 괜찮았어요. 그리고 1층에 라운지를 운영해서 아주 좋았습니다. 라운지에서 간단한 차를 마시며 소파에서 쉴 수 있어서 좋았습니다. 역이랑 거리가 약간 있긴 한데, 호텔 바로 문앞에서 버스 타면 금방 갈 수 있어서 문제는 없었습니다. 도보로 5-10분정도 가면 상점가/식당가가 있어서 식사하기 매우 편했어요. 추천합니다.

JR,新幹線の岡山駅からも徒歩圏内（ちょっとだけ歩きます）、電停は目の前なので岡山城や後楽園に行く時に（前まではいけないのですが歩く距離は半分になります）路面電車に乗って行きました。帰りは後楽園から岡山駅までのバスに乗ると岡山駅１個手前のバス停がホテルの目の前です。繁華街真っただ中にあり観光の拠点として最高のロケーションではないでしょうか？

방이 좁은것이야 인지하고 있어서 별점에 반영하진 않습니다만
캐리어 펼치기 위해서는 화장실 앞 통로가 막히는 점은 참고 해주셔야 합니다.
혼자 스테이하기에는 가격적으로 커버가 되지 않나 싶습니다.

다만 가장 큰 단점이, 방에서 냄새가 납니다.
사람 암내같은 냄새가 방안에 있어서 투숙하는 내내 창문을 열어놓고 지냈습니다. 쌀쌀한 날씨였지만 잠잘때도 창문을 열어놔야했습니다.
창문이 열리지않았다면 다른방 요청을 드렸거나
숙소에 오래 머물지 않는 일정이 아니었다면 많이 힘들었을 것 같습니다

朝食時に手荷物（お土産）を片手に持ちながら、料理コーナーから料理を取っていたら、係の方が気を利かせ、預かり札もなく、食事が終わるまで預かってくれた。ビジネスホテルのレストランでその気配りが出来るのは、教育が出来てるホテルだと感心した。個人差はあるが、また、是非とも利用したい。

오카야마역 부근의 호텔을 찾다가 선택했습니다. 호텔은 리모델링이 필요한 상태였다고 하겠습니다. 공항리무진 타는 곳에서는 도보로 8분 거리로 가깝습니다. 체크인 로비는 2층에 있었고, 에스컬레이터와 엘리베이터로 올라가게 되있었습니다. 1층은 로손편의점이라 편리했습니다. 로비층에 웰컴 드링크가 밤 10시까지 제공되어서 좋았고, 어메너티는 필요한 걸 가져가도록 로비에 구비되어 있습니다. 주변에 식당도 많고 트램역도 바로 앞이라 교통도 좋습니다.
