Well first off the staff was amazing, Bahar was an amazing guy and so were the other guys at the front desk, they gave us a free room upgrade, however the room was not the cleanest and the ac was not working, keep in mind it is already super hot in doha at this time in august, so that was really inconvenient, also our key card to our room stopped working 3 times so that really sucked, if it wasn’t for the friendly staff i think i would rate this place a 1/5, if you are a hotel in a nice city then i think AC should be the number one priority even if it breaks down.

I would definitely book again here. It’s a really amazing hotel with great view. Great staff great spa but they didn’t mention me. The pool and hot tub was closed from maintenance overall it’s definitely 4/5. be careful at the lobby hookah lounge i ordered 1 lemonade, and one hookah which cost around 50 riyal after i swiped my card and left the indian guy that works there charged me 80 riyal, i didn’t realize he did that until I left, i recommend to smoke hookah at the shop right across the street next time. thank you staff for having me.

The Swimming Pool area hasn’t been cleaned for weeks tools and bits of metal structure lying around all over the place poolunusable . Constant base all night from the nightclubs.

What can I say.. you get what you pay for. This place has 4 disco party bars scattered over many floors. No one is spared from the thumping of music until 2am nightly. Best to stay between Ramadan (bars/partying closed then) 🤔.. during evenings the entry is packed with bouncers and many drunk males. Party hotel.. Family not recommended.

Frustrating experience removed our good impression

We were told pool was closed but it was not! We were not told that one must use a specific lift/elevator to access the pool. Was finally able to use the pool on the eighth day of our stay when we learned the all the secret information. However, we were told by reception that the pool was open until 18:00 but we were turned away at 17:15 on our last night and told the pool closes at 17:00.

My intention was to a decent place for sleeping.

I started to get disappointed when I was trying to arrive with my car at the hotel entrance, as there were a group of hooded \"bros\" standing in front of my car, blocking the way.

The valet guy was also wearing a hoodie and approached me with a \"Hey, whats up, wanna park?\" I felt quite uncomfortable to hand over my car but I had to do it as there was no other parking possibilities around.

Upon getting inside, I could notice that the profile of the guests were not compatible with the profile of regular people looking for a retreat, but more likely people looking to get lucky with other random people.

About 6 big security guys were readily available at the foyer to keep the \"good order\" at the entrance of the inner night club.

Took the key. Dark elevator, strange people. Smoky room. I didn't even touched the bed. I left the place in less than 5 minutes.

When I took my car from the sand parking lot, the sunroof was open. I was so glad I didn't took long to leave that place

Not bad, good for the price.

Great location, very close to several key points of interest. Nice pool on the roof and the staff was very kind and helpful. My room smelled a bit of smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room, and I had a gard time with that. Also the carpets a d upholstery could definitely use a bit of cleaning. For the price though, not a bad place to stay.

Delay in check in, no parkings available, they have valet parking but in unsafe place.

Elevators got crowded when bar open and there is no special elevators for residence.

Much drunk people are in and cannot be safe near them specially when u are in the queue to get the elevators. Security trying to help to get elevator for families but drunk people cannot understands.

Place of hotel is in the middle of excavation near to souq Waqf.

At midnight there are much labor meeting at the front of hotel.

Their breakfast is unsatisfied

Car horn is living with u in ur room.

One thing I like, which is some security treatment.

We arrived on friday night. Check in was ok but not everything was explained. You need to fob your room key in the lifts to get to your room. Getting in the lift was a nightmare as there was so many non hotel guests using the lifts to get to the pub and nightclub. I feel they shouldnt have been using the guests lifts. People leaving at 2/3 am in the morning was awful due to the amount of noise from cars bibbing and people.

If you value a good nights sleep then don’t stay at this hotel, it is noisy! Doors slamming, people talking loudly until the early hours of the morning, you can hear the loud bass from the nightclub upstairs. There’s only one English tv channel the news. The inside lock of our door was broken and we were genuinely worried about security. The surrounding area of the hotel is very run down with broken footpaths and buildings turned to rubble. We didn’t sleep properly for 2 nights and left feeling more exhausted than when we checked in.

The location was pretty good about a 10 min walk to the metro and main Souq. The hotel itself I cannot say enough good things about the service and hospitality. The rooms were large and clean.

The only cons were the wifi was spotty at the best of times in our room. Secondly hot water for showers was hard to come by.

Other than that hotel is fantastic. Free airport shuttle, bars on the 2nd and 3rd floor as well as a popular night club. And again the service was fantastic

If your with a family try asking for a room further down as the nightclub is on the 14th floor and you can hear it quite loudly. The pool is getting done up at the moment so there is not one however they do transport you to a hotel if needed. I requested a airport pick up but it was not there. It is nice and clean however and local to souq waqif and the port.

Most Unpleasent Stay

Eventhough my reservation was for double beds, they made me stay at twin room since they dont have available double room, which is absurd. Central AC is terribly dirty, you can barely breath inside and there so many people and noise in the corridors, they even do repair works very early in the morning so you can't even sleep well. It was one of my worst stays in Doha, not recommended at all.

One of the best hotel in Doha

This is one of the best hotel in Doha. The location is best, just in city center. I stayed here on business trip, room was spacious, staff were very friendly, cooperative, They provide pick n drop to airport which is like cherry on cake. Easily accessible within the city, sea view is fantastic.Stephanie was assisting me with my bookings and stay. She is amazing, very prompt and helpful.

Cleaning person would not leave towels, it happen twice in a 4 night stay.
Over all it’s fine.
Shower water does not stay study, during shower it goes from hot to cold, I was told the due to a pump action.

We booked this hotel for our 14 hour layover in Doha. Our request for early checkin at 8 am was fulfilled and we were also upgraded to Junior Suite room. Hotel was also chosen as they provide free airport-hotel-airport shuttle.
Hotel is very close to many tourist interest places.

My friends and I stayed in September at this hotel. Staff were very nice, the room we had was on the 5th floor very noisy at night from night club which was on the 2 nd floor. We moved to the 8th floor was better but still heard the noice. They need to get better mattresses and pillows quite hard

Great hotel, just beware the disco on Sat night!

Great location, easy walking distance to souks (everything else needs a taxi in Doha anyway). Good wi-fi in room, load of TV channels to choose from (approx 50) and a late checkout (4pm) for our night flight.
Our only downside was the nightclub on Level 2 which goes to 2am on a Saturday night, which we could easily hear from our room on Level 3... but the air conditioning was loud enough to muffle it sufficiently to sleep. Otherwise, no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Great hotel for layover

We stayed one night on a short layover and found the hotel to be just right. Easy arrival and checkin, nice room, at a good price. We ordered the Arabic and Indian breakfasts from room service and they were excellent! Nice rooftop pool ( although it was 113 degrees F so we didn't stay there long). Free shuttle back to the airport- what's not to like?

Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Nice hotel with pleasant roof top pool area and great views. Room was really comfortable but shower not very hot. Hotel was convenient for the souk and other attractions. Rooms close to night club and bars could be noisy but views over Doha were good.

it was good. The room was locked from inside. the maintenance people solved the issue; took 1/2 hour. Stayed only 6 hours. Smoking smell was strong. Should make non-smoking hotel. Good transport system. The employees are very co-operative and friendly. Bathroom towel were not enough. Hotel management were very worried about, \"customers will probably steal the bathroom towel\". This may not be true, but I had feeling generated from the signs in the bathroom. The internet was not functioning or the signals were very low. Overall, the stay was good.

2 minor issues: Hotel lobby is full of smoke, very unpleasant. And airport pickup is functional but they made me loiter for 1h30 \"waiting\". After asking I figured out that they do one rotation an hour... just say it: Starts at 99 from hotel and 30 from airport.

OK Hotel. Great for the price.

Decent hotel in a good location. Its located very close to the Souq Waqif.
The best part of this hotel are the bars located in it. Alcohol in Qatar is very controlled so it was nice to have a hotel where drinking was not an issue.

Check in time takes way too long. It took us about 30 minutes to simply check in for our room. There was no one ahead of us, but it just took a very long time. Not sure why, but after spending 2 hours in the insanely long immigration line at the airport, it was incredibly frustrating to wait even longer for no reason.

WiFi was not very reliable. Didn't work well in the room and it wasn't so great at the restaurant either. It worked enough, but would get incredibly slow.

Also, rude security staff always asking to see your ID, Passport, room #, etc. while you're eating, drinking, or simply while waiting in the lobby.

The room was gigantic. Free airport shuttle service (book it ahead), the rooftop pool was nice with a city view. The hotel service was excellent. They even called me 10 minutes later after arriving to my room to make sure everything was comfortable.

My first time in Qatar. I stayed one day in Doha in transit to India. The hotel staff was Very helpful, huge rooms. Good location.
Price was reasonable, including free transportation from and to the airport and late check out.
Getting the visa took a bit longer than expected but everything worked out fine. It met my objective indeed.

Not a bad hotel BUT...

The BIGGEST complaint I have of this place and a warning to all guests, be careful of your belongings. I believe other guests had the same issue with lost/stolen possession in the hotel from some previous reviews. I kept some money in the safe and it was stolen!!!

It was a key-based safe and so somebody must have made a copy of the keys. They were very sneaky about it too, never taking the entire amount so as to not raise alarm if one didn't look carefully.

With hindsight, should have been more careful and double checked/counted things but I have used hotel safe quite a lot and this is the first time it has happened. I will definitely be more careful/wary in the future (especially key based one).

Apart from stolen possession, this hotel was not bad - quite central and staff were generally helpful (when they were not relieving you off your possession).

The hotel has great entertainment and dining. The Krossroads is my favorite bar in Doha with a great Philipino band. The Rose and Thistle is also excellent, as an example of a UK style pub. However, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The faucet in the bathroom sprayed water all over the room. The AC did not work properly, and the room is very basic although serves the basic need. Room service is very good.

It was pleasant stay in Horizon Manor Hotel. Its one of the best hotel in Doha. I enjoyed the stay of 5 days in this Hotel. They arrange me the Airport Pick on the same day of my travel. They give me very good service...Nice and should try...

I stayed with a friend of mine for three nights and on the whole it wasnt a bad stay, a few things though really let this hotel down, first off we both found that most of the hotel staff were dis intrested and quite unhelpfull this started at check in with dis organised staff who had us standing around for over twenty minutes, the same staff who also tried to over charge me for spirits taken from the mini bar (i dont drink spirits). Our main disapointment with staff came in the resturant which we frequented for breakfast and evening buffet, we both found the staff to be very rude they basicaly stood around without a smile for anyone between them and the minute you were anywhere near finishing a meal or a drink they were on top of you trying to take your plate or glass all this aside the food was very nice and well priced. Another big disapointment was the run down state of the roof top terrace, most of the tiles around the pool were broken,tere were four dirty orange life saving rings in the water which were there for the four days we stayed, the jacuzy was broken the sauna and steam room turned of at the mains, no towels for the limited number of loungers six i think whch for a hotel this size is poor and on our last day no cushions on the loungers, we found all this very shabby for a hotel that has only been open three years. Thats the bad stuff out of the way, positives the two bars were good especially the irish pub great service, beer,food,and entertainment,same for club

Tough place to do business

Overall the staff was friendly, and most tried to be helpful, so I would like to give this hotel a higher rating. But -- there was no hot water in my room for two nights, even after they \"fixed\" it. In my first room, the electrical outlets were resistant to adapters and broke two. There was no proper desk - a little table with a cheap chair, with no lamp and especially no outlets, was unsatisfactory. Internet connections were poor for the most part. A disco on the top (14th) floor could be heard quite distinctly on the 8th and 9th floors until 2AM. On the plus side - beds were comfortable, it was clean, and the restaurant was good. The new Souk is only a few blocks away, and the neighborhood of shops is preferable to the deadness of downtown Doha.

I enjoyed the stay, good room, good food, nice people, good swimming pool. The only minor point was the transparency of the windows. As you could offer a fantastic view on the bay and the skyline of Doha, it was disappointing how dirty the windows were and took away that view.

Horizon Manor Hotel, Doha

I've stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions now and from a location point of view its great. Easy access to the road network.

Room and facilities are good. To have a view over Doha get a room above the 6th floor and west or north facing to see the city and bay.

Parking underground in the hotel is difficult if you have a large car as the entrance and exits are tight. Outside around the hotel is no problem.

Breakfast is an adventure. This is where the food available needs to be improved. Its acceptable and adequate, but does need improving.

Room service (food) also needs to be improved.

It is a good hotel overall and serves a purpose. I use it regularly, so don't be put off by its negative points.

It is a relativley new hotel (its about 8 months old) and the staff are very helpful and accommodating and they are still going through a learning process.

I am of the opinion it will improve...Inshallah!

Excellent location re. airport, old souks, Museum Islamic Art (really worth the visit). Ask for a room with seaview (on the Museum, Corniche, and towers of the new business area on the other side of the bay). Friendly and efficient personnel.
The ventilation system is rather noisy.
