The property was very quiet and peaceful my daughter and I felt very safe even though it didn’t seem safe when we first got there since it was our first time but once we walked around it was great. Perfect location for everything we didn’t have to take a taxi we walked the whole time. The Riad is right in the Medina so you get everything from restaurants to cafes and shops. I very happy with the place and location for being my first time and just reading reviews from other people that had stayed there. They provide transportation from and to the airport at a reasonable price and they were always on time, when they picked us up from the airport they walked us all the way to the Riad since it’s a little hidden and being our first time in Marrakech this was perfect! Just remember you have to pay in cash only with euros or Morocco currency they don’t take dollars or credit cards.

My heart was warmed at the warm welcome and from the staff. Cici was really sweet and caring. They also arranged a hotel shuttle service pickup which was nice to have after a long flight. The interior is so elegant and charming. I would definitely recommend this Riad and also stay here again!

Staff is very nice especially Ziad. If it wasn’t for him, I would have given the property one star only.
I checked in, put my cloths out and left to explore the city. I came back and there was water all over my cloths and the floor that was coming from the AC unit. They changed the room for me but the toilet in the other room wasn’t working properly and water kept running all night. Ziad made sure it’s fixed the next day.
Not easy to get to the hotel as cars don’t reach the area. Bottom line, the property is beautiful but needs a lot of repair. I will never go back to it. Ziad stands out as an excellent employee of the property

Far from th jamaelfna square and its a confusing maze to get to the square. Far from taxi stop if u have alot of luggage you need to walk to the riad. Place is average but we have other riad that we’ve stayed in same price but way better rooms.

We stepped at night into a very busy old market street, full of donkeys pulling carts, buzzing vespas hovering around
smoky areas, it felt like being on a set of a Jacky Chan's film. It took us 10 minutes walking to a second little turning to find our riad. We found a pretty tiny wooden blue door.
We knocked on it and bent our heads to walk in. As the door opened we walked into an oasis. A beautiful courtyard filled with gigantic climbing plants , marble flooring, and massive mirrors was leading to a second courtyard flanked with timber lacy type wood carving balconies.
The place was full of tranquillity. It felt like a mind spa hanging around downstairs, rooms or a magnificent roof top. The gentle Moroccan music was waving through the different areas. We felt completely disconnected from the rest of Marrakech, which was a few minutes away.
The staff was lovely and helpful. I would not pick a better accommodation.

Very beautiful hotel.

I really impressed with hotel's decor. I was in Riad Armelle when the earthquake happened last Sep 8th in Marrakech, but the hotel got only minor damage. Everything is good. There's about 15-20 min walking distance to many famous places in Old Madinas.

We loved our stay at Riad Armelle. The property is amazing, and is its own oasis in the middle of a bustling Medina. You can feel the sense of history, and the furnishings and roof top terrace only make it better. Staff was very helpful and attentive, even accommodating our need for an early breakfast as we left early for an excursion one early morning. Fantastic value, too. Would definitely recommend.

The lady managing the Riad was so helpful and made us very welcome. Expedia had not sent the required voucher to them and I spent a frustrating time “talking” to computerised Bots and ultimately to a human( not having humans available to deal with queries wastes time and is so frustrating as they keep repeating the same silly mantra instead of dealing with the issue). Eventually they did what they should have done months ago and sent the voucher which then mysterious disappeared from my screen!
The Riad however is excellent. An oasis of calm right off the main track in the Souk.We ate there and the food was local specialities imaginatively served. Breakfasts too were filling and with wonderful breads. Rooms are comfortable and individually styled in the local colours. Bathroom showers was hand held and not fixed to the wall. A/C but we used the windows which opens onto the central courtyard and safe. Riad is a 200 year old former home. Roof garden is equipped with sun beds and shady spots and is excellent for sipping a beer after a long days sightseeing. Wi fi works but is weak but that’s not why you go there, it’s fine for emails. Taxi’s can’t reach the Riad and so they drop you nearby leaving a 50 years walk through a crowded souk. Make sure you get directions on how to find the Riad from where the taxi drops you. Pick-ups too can be challenging but the manager was willing to contact our tour companies to ensure they were actually coming to the right place!

An original old boutique hotel in Moroccan style. The entrance is in an alley (Derb) near the city gate (Bab Doukkala) within the walled inner city. (Medina); The hotel is old with a lot of atmosphere but clean. The breakfast was good. The taxi can get to the gate, after which you have to walk another 100 m through the chaotic busy street with local shops, restaurants and souvenir shops. The staff is is friendly as are the people on the street and we always felt safe.

A lovely authentic Riad within easy walking distance of the sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The Riad isn't easy to find, so asking the Riad to organise an airport transfer is a good idea as the driver will walk you right to the Riad's front door. Marrakech is a busy (and therefore) noisy place, so bring ear plugs to sleep.

Property is behind a door in a walk just off a frantic market. Close the door and peace surrounds you. Beautiful interior and friendly staff. Just 15 min walk to the square and soukes. It’s the real experience of Morrocco.

Traditional Moroccan hotel decoration was good, room lacked few essential such as iron and iron board, shower tap, different level shower hold. Small table next to the chair to place your tea, coffee or drink glass/bottle.

STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL Riad! This little Riad is an oasis of quietness in the middle of the bustling medina. The place is gorgeously decorated, and the staff are so lovely that they make you feel at home from the start. Food is great. They really have an outstanding chef. The property had some minor internet issues on my last day, but they were quick to fix them. Ill be staying at this Riad again when returning to Marrakech.

This is truly one of the most romantic places I have ever stayed in. Dream-like decor with lots of attention to detail. The Riad is also in a fantastic location, just set off the bustling Bab Doukkala and only about 10-15 minutes from the Big Square and the Souks. Will definitely return to Riad Armelle if I visit Marrakech again.

Riad Armelle - authentic, awesome

Riad Armelle is in the Médina, perfect walkable location. It’s an authentic experience. The rooms and common areas are pretty and decorated as you would hope. The roof terrace is a great getaway spot. Food - breakfast and dinners - is simple and delicious. The people are wonderful and want to ensure that you have a terrific stay with them. The airport transportation is recommended to help you find the Riad your first time.

Hotel location is on outer edges of medina, meaning a bit of a stroll each day into the wonderful and mad world of the souks etc. But it's real, authentic Marrakesh - nothing leaves you wondering how these people live and exist.
My wife was content and happy with the accommodation and standard of hotel - personally, I would've preferred a better hotel experience (a bit cleaner, better location and to be honest more luxurious and better appointed all round) and stayed a night less. But for what you get for the price, it's hard to complain.

This Riad is a Gem

Despite having a difficult time finding the Riad, I was welcomed by the owner, Armelle, who went out of her way to make me feel welcome. My room, the Thousand and One Nights, was beautifully appointed and the decor was exquisite. This was the case throughout the entire Riad. The owners have decorated the Riad with taste and attention to color schemes and Arabian style. I loved every minute of my stay.

Perfect Riad in centre of Marrakech

We stayed at Riad Armelle for four nights on a visit to Marrakech. From our arrival from the busy streets we were welcomed and relaxed by the staff's friendly welcome and beautiful décor. The hotel has been extensively renovated and has an intimate and exotic charm.
The staff couldn't do enough for us- the rooms were perfect and attention to detail was evident at every turn. The rooms were quiet even though we were footsteps from the busy Marrakech streets. Facilities were clean and worked well. We had breakfast every day in the Riad which was extensive and we had dinner there one night too- delicious! There is a tranquil roof terrace for the sun (and shade) seekers- a real getaway.
All we could talk about when we were leaving was when we'd be able to come back. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay.

Just spent 3 nights in Riad Armelle on our first trip to Marrakech. A real culture shock when you walk from the taxi to the hotel on your arrival. But the quiet of Riad Armelle is just a short walk away.
Saad the Hotel Manager and his assistant CC were really helpful both before and during our stay. The room was fantastic and the breakfast was very good.

Wonderful, AMAZING, incredible experience in the heart of the Old City

A 15 minute walk from the souks, this beautiful Riad is located in the heart of the Old City. Down an ally (as all Riads are), behind a beautiful door.... heaven awaits. We were swept back in time as we walked from the taxi, down a street of food markets and mopeds thru the hustle and bustle of the Morrocon people and their true daily life. A two minute walk to catch a taxi if you wanted.... or in a location to walk the entire city. Sad, the manager, was amazing. At night, you can stay in and have the greatest meal, cooked and served to you by their master chef. ( we ate here 3 nights out of 4). For a TRUE experience of a lifetime, this was the best trip I have ever had!

Un très joli riad, très bien décoré dans les parties communes et dans les chambres. La terrasse est sympa également. A améliorer: le petit déjeuner: il est prévu jusqu’à 10:00, mais si on arrive à moins le quart on nous fait remarquer qu’il est trop tard (un matin, on est même venu frapper à notre porte à 9:30!); aussi le pain au chocolat est rassi et le jus d’oranges est très coupé à l’eau (bizarre car il était excellent le premier jour). Le riad est très bien situé et l’accueil est charmant.

Le personnel est très accueillant, surtout Siam.
Hospitalité excellente. On se sent comme chez nous !
L’éclairage de la salle de bain n’est pas adapté. Difficile de se maquiller… les serviettes de toilette sont très lourdes et n’epongent pas bien ! Le matelas est très ferme. Du bruit le matin a 7h30 a cause de travaux à côté. Sinon très belle deco.

L'oasi perfetta!! soggiornare in questo riad mi ha fatto vivere sensazioni principesche di altri tempi. Una colazione in un contesto vellutato quasi fiabesco prima di buttarsi nel caos polveroso delle affascinanti viuzze di Marrakesch. Personale discreto, molto cordiale e disponibile.

Riad magnifique, accueil excellent.

Une petite oasis de calme dans la Medina, aucun bruit à part celui les oiseaux. Un décor d'art arabe magnifique. Le personnel est très professionnel, prêt à donner tous les conseils utiles pour se débrouiller en ville (très apprécié pour ma part, puisque je voyageais seule). La cuisine de la table d'hôtes est excellente. Seul petit bémol, l'isolation phonique qui n'est pas terrible à cause des portes anciennes... mais l'hôtel étant hyper calme cela ne dérange pas tant que ça. Petit plus: un immense merci au directeur de l'hôtel qui m'a même raccompagnée personnellement jusqu'à mon taxi.

Ingen har vært i Marokko uten å ha prøvd en Rihad i Medinaen. 1001 natt i virkeligheten. Vær forberedt på at du bor og lever på Rihadens premisser. Hvis du spiser der så spiser men det man får. Godt er det uansett.

Trevligt boende i genuint område

Mor och dotter- resa över 3 nätter. Boendet enkelt och sharmigt men ej 4 stjärnigt. Trevlig takterrass med möjlighet till sol och avkoppling i lugn oas.Enkel frukost som intas på innergården. Den här tiden på året krävs varma kläder. Vi åt middag på hotellet en kväll och det kan vi avråda från då det var riktigt dåligt och dyrt efter förhållandena. Bra läge i genuina kvarter. Mycket lite turister i detta område. Promenadavstånd till turistattraktionerna .

Riad magnifique, restauré et meublé avec beaucoup de gout , prestation impeccable, très calme . Restauration le soir excellente, félicitation au cuisto. 20mn a pied de la place / 20mn du jardin Majorel / 15 Dirham pour un taxi au centre ville.
