If you are doubtful of staying here: let me tell you, throw that doubt out of a window. I definitely enjoyed my stay, the staff, the hotel, room, comfort, tea, breakfast and the peace and quiet we felt. The location is perfect, about a 3-5 minute walk from main roads, which makes it quiet and lot less people. I felt safe, and cared for by the staff. The room was nicely decorated, spacious bathroom, plenty of outlets to charge devices, AC unit, small but cut swimming pool, and it even has a small rooftop equipped with sunbathing chairs, tables etc…

This Riad was difficult to find. The spa services that are offered are not on site. They taxi you to another riad if you want a treatment. Unfortunately, the taxi that dropped me on the way back didnt take me close to the riad and I got lost trying to find my way back. The food was just ok.

I booked a four night stay at Le Riad Jardin Des Rêves. Unfortunately my stay was not as pleasant as I would thought it would be. The hotel day manager was confrontational and on the last day of our stay the housekeeping staff did not tidy our room or provide us with clean towels…an unpleasant end of my otherwise lovely visit to Morocco.

Amazing stay! First of all it was a bit tricky to find, and down a very tucked away alleyway, but once we arrived the hosts were extremely attentive and helpful. They put together a beautiful meal for us next to the pool and really looked after us. Rooms are fairly basic but perfect if you’re getting out and about doing lots of sightseeing - it’s perfectly located for being in the middle of town!

Wifi did not work in our room on the terrace. Wifi did work when we were in the common area. Room was tight and small. Water not provided in room, even though tap water is not drinkable. No door to close off toilet. It was just behind a partition. Restaurant is ok but not that good. The nice thing is the common area which is beautiful decorated, has a pool of water and is peaceful. The lady who was running the hotel was nice and helpful.

The riad was really comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially Abdel, who helped with arranging taxis, hammam visits and being genrally helpful. The breakfast was lovely and I found the rooftop patio to be really nice to relax in.

The location was good, it's walking distance to a lot of things. However, you have to go through a couple of alleyways to get to the Riad

The service was great, everyone was helpful. Abdul especially! The only thing I didn't like was the clerk trying to guilt me to buying things, saying \"so you're going to stay here and not buy anything from us?\"

As far as amenities go; the wifi wasn't too good, the pool was bad (it's not filtered, it's tiny and water was green - we went during \"winter\" so maybe that's why), the rooftop terrace was great.

Very nice property, small but very well presented. We hired the transportation arrangements and the first night a typical Morocco dinner by the hotel. Delicious food. Taxi that picked us up brought us to the Medina where Abdal met us and walked us to the hotel. Little streets labyrinth as expected. Highly recommend them.

Nous recommandons sans aucune hésitation ce Riad et remercions une fois de plus nos hôtes. Notre fille a célébré ses 18 ans à Marrakech. Guirlandes et ballons one été placés dans la chambre pour souligner l’événement. The staff was wonderful, patient, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. Once one gets through all the tiny pathways to this riad one finds that it is very quiet. I am very independent, and lived in Morocco for many years, but for first-time travelers, the staff had nice excursions and will arrange for things a visitor might like see or do. Laws in Marrakesh are very strong NO VISITORS AT ALL. NOT EVEN INTO THE RECEPTION AREA! Guy in the reception just push and slam the door in my tourist guide the day when I arrived. JUST BE AWARE IF THIS LAWS! Beautiful place to stay in Medina!

It had a sun terrace that was closed at midday????, if you like sugar then stay here, was ripped off with a trip & left embarrassed as I didn't have enough money for lunch as I thought it was included... so basically I paid to be taken to the foot of the Atlas Mountains
to see a pitiful waterfall.. I live near High Force in the UK.. check it out .. its much impressive than the one I saw..

The riad is really cozy, nice and clean. Location is good but really hidden. If you arrive during the day it might be a fun experience to try to find the riad. If you arrive at night, the best thing to do is just to hire an airport pick-up from the riad, it will be worth it even if it's a bit more expensive.

Wonderful staff and exotic ambiance!
Abdul and Khalid were amazing. Our second night, the room A/C wasn’t functioning well and they moved us to another room with great air conditioning without a fuss.
Khalid helped us with phone calls to book spa treatments and cooking classes as well as dinner reservations.
They even escort you out to the main street!
Khalid was nice enough to escort us to the new city Gueliz for dinner even when he was off duty.
They serve a traditional Morrocan breakfast every morning which was delicious but carb centric. They even warm milk for my tea!
We went at the peak of Ramandan, but this did not lessen our experience and not once were we inconvenienced by this.
What wonderful people!
We had a fabulous time and we couldn’t wait to go back!

Riad deep in the medina.

A nice place but difficult to find. The breakfast was very nice as were the staff and the rooftop terrace. However, there is an issue with privacy and comfort of the rooms, particularly the room on the ground level. A lot of noise produced in the kitchen in early morning and late night as food is prepared or dishes cleaned that is heard in adjacent guest rooms.

A little tricky to find the property if it’s your first time. Make sure you get someone to meet you at the main drop off point.
However, once you are there it is one of the cutest places I’ve been. The rooms are great and traditional looking. Mint tea is amazing. Breakfast is perfect. Staff is lovely. Probably a 15-20 minute walk to the main square.

Everyone in the Riad very helpful, friendly and accommodating even though they do not speak english. If you come on your own from the airport, the place is hard to find, the Riad is in the Medina with limited car access. however our transport contaced the Riad and the manager took us all the way there. I would recomend contacting the Riad and arrange for their driver to pick you up. The internet works ok, the breakfast was pretty good, and the room was confortable for 3 people. since the Riad is in the Medina, I would recomend you contact your tour agencies and ask in advance a pick up point so you can organise yourself.

Do not stay here if you speak English only

Do not stay here if you only speak English. They advertise they speak English but it's not true and it causes a lot of problems. It's not accessible by car. So if you're on a tour that will pick you up, stay somewhere else or you'll have to navigate the labryinth of Medina, which is difficult, to meet your tour at a pickup location. If you choose to stay here get the transfer to the Riad online because Google Maps does not work in the Medina and you can't get help after because they don't speak English . Also this is down many alleys that are deserted and to me, as a solo woman westerner with all my luggage, it was daunting and scary to find. You will get no help with local attractions because they can't speak English. The gentleman who works the front desk was overcharging me for city tax. He also argued with me regularly and I almost missed my excellent 3-day Sahara Dessert Tour because he refused to bring me to the correct pickup point. Again, avoid if you only speak English and if you have a tour that will pick you up. The gentleman at the desk also refused to store my luggage on my last day so I could tour the city before leaving. Thankfully, the manager made him do that, which is something they are supposed to do. There is no wifi in the rooms. Bottom line- Marrakech is wonderful but also confusing and stressful potentially. Your Riad should be an oasis and your support. This place is not. Stay somewhere else.

The riad is adorable and quaint. We were served tea upon our arrival. The rooms and rooftop were delightful and the staff was very friendly. It was a little difficult to find for first-timers in Marrakech. The map they provided wasn’t helpful but other visitors in the riad were and by our third day we felt comfortable exploring and knowing we’d find our way back. Super scratchy towels and there were some issues with the shower drains but overall a wonderful place to stay.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The riad was charming. The rooms were each different and cute. The neighborhood was interesting. The food was delicious and convenient. We enjoyed our stay.

Few things to note: it’s a bit of a walk to most of the sites in the old city. There were not a lot of amenities like bathroom products, no bathroom door (just a curtain), you could hear a lot of noises from the room, and inconsistent WiFi. None of these things were terrible for us, but worth knowing in advance.

Treat guest as money

Young reception guy was so polite and kind! He was fulled of positive energy and very thoughtful and helped me to stay without any discomfort. Thank you very much. But the other old guy wasn’t. I really disappointed about his attitude. He treated guest as money and he cannot afford to have generous mind about money. He kept thinking to get paid of dinner meal fee and tax and easily forgot that i had paid already even though it was small money. What a shame!
But room condition was absolutely perfect and hotel is located in quiet place so I could take a rest well.

The location of the riad is nice. Only 10 minutes from the main square. I advise to use the riad airport transfer because you will have no problem to find the riad for the first time.
The room are lovely and well decorated. Very clean and quite.
This is an excellent place to discover the medina inside.

The Riad was perfectly located near the market but in a private area. Although we were given the only rooftop room which was gorgeous, we had a negative and disappointing experience. We booked this riad because it was advertised to have \"excellent wifi\". However, the rooftop room was completely disconnected from the wifi & this was inconvenient for us as guests who had emails and important intranet related issues to tend to. Would not recommend this Riad if you wish/need to stay connected throughout your stay. It got so bad that we went to eat at cafes just to have access to good wifi.
Secondly, we experienced a power outage on one of the nights for about 3-4 hours with no proper apology or compensation offered to us. Understandably, we did not complain about this & excused this inconvenience as an unforeseen occurrence.
Thirdly, if you speak only English (no French or Arabic),this might be a challenging stay for you as the only English speaking staff was on the premises for our first 3-4 days for about 5 hours everyday. He was only present in the afternoon & therefore, we were out exploring when he was available. The full-time worker also became quite rude as a result of the language barrier which made our experience much more unpleasant. I will say that the Riad itself is very beautiful & refreshing but there are many others that are just as aesthetically pleasing with much better service. Morocco was absolutely sensational but our experience at this riad discouraged us.

First of all my friends have already booked their stay there for the coming months as I highly recommended it.

The riad is in great condition and offers a peaceful ambience.
The staff super helpful and friendly.
The location very central and quite.
The negative part was that the wifi didn't work in the room, and most importantly I never received an answer in any of my emails regarding our pick up from the airport as it is included. My friends, however, have been in contact already and they were offered a 13€ airport pick up. I wish we had it too as we ended up paying double and negotiating with lousy taxi drivers.

Beautiful Riad

This is a very quiet and beautiful Riad down an alley and neatly tucked away. If you book the shuttle from the airport (which I would strongly recommend) they will meet you and show you the way.
On arrival they offer you mint tea (Moroccan whiskey) and make you feel very welcome. It is so peaceful and like a world on it’s own but only a short walk from the hustle, bustle and noise of the souk and other sights within the medina.
The rooms are clean and decorated with care and there is a beautiful roof terrace with a view of the Altas mountains and the sunset.
I must make a mention of the staff, particularly Ahmed who calmly and quietly attends to all questions, prepares fabulous food and is very kind and attentive. I am not sure that he ever sleeps because he always seemed on hand. He will book you taxis and make restaurant reservations and recommendations.
I would definitely chose to stay there again. (The suite on the roof is very beautiful). A very welcome introduction to Marrakech.

Wonderful place to stay

Thiis Riad was just beautiful. Quiet and down small streets. Rooms were clean and comfortable in a perfectly furnished environment.
The staff were exceptionally helpful particularly Ahmed who went out of hius way to attend to every small detail.
I definitely recommend that you book there airport shuttle as you will be collected and taken right to the door of the Riad with no fuss at all. (Without that I think it would be difficult to locate at first.
This Riad is easy to walk anywhere within the medina and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a true experience of Marrakesh but with attention to detail.
Definitely book this place.

Nice Riad, nice area, nice Marrakech

I was a bit worried because it was down a winding alleyway, but the delight we had when we arrived at the Riad. We could see the Atlas Mountains from the roof-top terrace. We didn't realise we were about 20-25mins walking distance away from the main square and just 10mins walk away to the New Marrakech. We took a hop-on hop-off tour bus in the New Marrakesh which was great, it helped us to learn about the city. The area felt safe. It was a delight to know that the country is aiming to being Eco-friendly. The vegetables and meat sold is locally produced, everything is fresh. The Souks was an experience! You have to do a lot of bartering. We were advised not to tell them how much we would pay and let them keep reducing the price. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

A great place in the heart of the Medina

The service levels at this Riad were superb. Abdou and his staff treated us fantastically. They arranged a transfer from the airport and met us from the taxi to the Riad. The Riad itself is immaculate, the rooms are smart and comfortable and we ate at the Riad on the first night, the food being delicious. The staff could not do enough for you. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
If you book this place, I strongly advise accepting their offer of a transfer, it saves being ripped off in the airport by taxi drivers and the hotel is not easy to find by yourself. The only slight downside was the Wifi was intermittent.
All in all, a great place and a peaceful oasis in the hustle and bustle of the Medina.

We chose this Riad from the many available on Expedia and didn't really know what to expect. I can't say enough good things about the staff at Le Riad Jardin des Reves - they consistently went out of their way to make our time in Marrakech memorable. Abdul helped us secure guides and taxis, checked on pick up times, and more. Khalid was our daily point person who made us so comfortable - providing tea, breakfasts, and dinners as we liked. He was thoughtful, considerate, and personable.

Our room was simple but clean and comfortable.

I would not hesitate to stay at this Riad again if I am lucky enough to return to Marrakech.

La Riad Jardin, is a fantastic place to stay, we were greeted by a most gracious host, Abdul, who seemed to understand what our needs were before we did. Abdul and the rest of the staff attended to our every need. We had the option to eat out but after our first meal in the Riad we decided to have the majority of our meals there. The food is authentic Moroccan food, beautifully prepared, scrumptious and very satisfying. Abdul organised all our excursions, quad biking, city tour and hamman experience. We had the option to visit other Riads but Le Jardin Riad is not only very clean but it has the most tranquil atmosphere. The rooms are all a very good size with good size bathrooms and lounge area. Le Jardin is only a short walk to the main souks and can be accessed easily from the main road. All in all it was an amazing experience and we would have been happy to spend our weekend in Le Jardin Riad.

Riad in the Medina

The Riad is found down the narrow winding streets in the Medina close to the souk. It was a great place with lovely helpful staff who helped organise taxus and trips around Marrakesh. They also gave us advice on haggling and what to watch out for whilst traveling around. Definitely recommend if you want to experience a proper Moroccan trip.

Aptly named!

Our first stop in Morocco! It was a garden of dreams indeed! We got an airport pickup and were delighted with first our driver and then the staff at the riad! The pool was a welcome respite from the heat of our first day in country, breakfast was tasty and prompt. We were even able to get an early breakfast on the day of our departure, as our tour guide was to pick us up before the breakfast hours.

Good for not knowing better...

Place was good overall, though we were left with a sour taste after being nickeled and dimed. Dinner was 50 euros (about 500dh) and was good but thats a lot for local food (typical is 200dh) The concierge was very attentive im helping us get another place since our travel plans changed and we needed another night. He even got us a taxi which was about 10x the local price and when we got near the destination we found we had to pay another person to take us exactly to where were going.

Overall stay was ok but then our next riad was way nicer for half the price. I would suggest paying no more than 25euros per night for this. And make sure to communicate clearly and strongly between staff. Ie we were going for an 8am day trip and asked if we could still get breakfast a lil early. 1st staff said yes. In the morning the staff had changed and quoted the 830 breakfast stipulation. Also quite far from Jemaa elFna if youre interested in viaitinf.

Overall good tho.

Lovely place, but do not buy the extras

Very kind people, lovely location, walking distance to many things we wanted to see. Great food. Clean room. We accepted the pick up from the airport and the man brought us to the wrong riad, then was unable to find the correct one and we had to pay two different people in order to finally arrive, this in addition to the cost of the pickup. We also paid 15€ to be taken to the train station, when you can actually take a taxi for about 4€. So the riad was beautiful with kind people, but you can save time and money by arranging your own pick ups. We also took a tour with them, the man was very kind but it was more of a private car than a tour.

Wonderful Riad

Beautiful Riad in the heart of the medina. The hosts were so kind and informative. They made us a great Moroccan dinner when we arrived close to midnight and were starving. The Riad it's self is simply beautiful. Air conditioning in the rooms and a small pool in the courtyard to cool down. Overall excellent stay!

Beautiful riad at the heart of the medina

This riad is in the heart of the medina. Close by is all you need, easy access to all Marrakech has to offer while being at the heart of a relatively quiet residential area.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They are at hand while offering their guests privacy. The riad itself is beautiful and well kept.
I will be visiting again

Oasis in Marrakech

This lovely riad provided a much-needed calm and comforting home base while exploring the hustle-bustle of Marrakech. Abdul was very helpful and accommodated any request. The riad was very quiet, having an amazing ability to block out the city noise. The rooftop terrace also provided a quiet, private outdoor space to soak up the sun or relax with a glass of wine. The very best thing about the hotel was the food. As we were timid about sampling street food, it was very pleasant to discover Abdul's excellent cooking skills. We had several dinners there -- each different and delicious. Don't miss the carrots!

The hotel is tucked away down an alley but don't be fooled! It is a lovely space, tidy and with good sized rooms (with bathrooms and showers). The owner is super helpful and the location (once you learn your way through) is really close to the main square - less than 10 minutes.

It's also a calm place at the end of a busy day in the hustle and bustle of the city.

Authentic and Charming Riad

This is an authentic riad located in the Medina, very close to the souks and restaurants. The riad was charming, beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style, and the staff are excellent. We arranged to be met at the airport, which is a good idea because regular taxis cannot drive the narrow streets of the Medina. Abdou greeted us with mint tea, a local map, and some pertinent advice. We had an amazing vacation. Our best meal was cooked by Abdou, a delicious chicken tagine, a vegetarian tagine and some tasty salads. Highly recommended for an authentic Marrakech experience.

Jardin Des Rêves was an amazing Riad. It was clean, beautiful and so welcoming. Abdul cooked us two traditional dinners, which were delicious and I highly recommend. He organized all of our outings when we got there, which went off seamlessly and were far better than what we could have planned ourselves. No stress, no hassle, just pure enjoyment. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!! *****

Oasis in the Medina

Location is good, inside the medina. When you arrive the taxi or shuttle will drop you near the mosque and you navigate the narrow roads to get to the property. Breakfast was good and they offer food in the evening as well. Wifi was a bit weak. The staff are friendly and made the stay memorable.

Friendly staffs but facilities aren't very good

The host is really nice and friendly. The Riad is beautiful. But facilities are not good. The sink was broken so I literally have to brush my teeth and was my face using the shower head. The wifi is really bad, you get connected and disconnected the next minute.

Excellent riad in the medina!

Beautiful little riad* with a nice modern touch, tucked away in the medina* near Bab Doukala*. The management is super-attentive, breakfast is perfect, and they will happily arrange a pous-pous* to help get your baggage to the door. Views over the medina from the roof, a perfect island of calm.

Hotel was very good, and staff very friendly.
Food was also very good.

Only minor complain would be that we booked rooms with 2 twin beds each, and we only got one room with 2 twin beds and one with a single double bed. Hotel seems not to have any mention about us booking separate beds even though the booking email from hotels.com clearly states it. So hotel is more suitable for couples than friends.

Has its ups and downs

Riads location isn't the best but close enough, mostly required taxi to go to square. Narrow alleyways made walking back harder especially with shopping. Staff are nice but could only communicate with one, other two didn't speak English well. Breakfast wasn't great but the dinner was excellent. Best food I had in our trip

The Jardin des Rêves is within the medina so quite close to tourist attractions and souks without being right in the middle. The staff was very helpful, although they did not speak English, so knowing a few phrases in French is helpful (The owner did speak English, so whenever necessary she would help out).
Only downside was that the walls are not very soundproof, so in the morning when other guests were getting ready they woke us.

Amazing riad perfect location

We arrived at the riad later than expected due to delayed flight. We were greeted by antonio and served mint tea and biscuits. We were upgraded to a beautiful room for our weeks stay. We found the riad and the staff amazing especially the owner who explained and showed us everything we needed to know with a map of marrekesh. I would recommend a stay here as it is in a perfect location and beautiful place to spend your time to relax .

Riad Jardin des Reves is a clean and comfortable courtyard hotel in the north quarter of the red-walled medina in Marrakech, only minutes down a few alleyways from the thoroughfare to the souks and Jemaa el Fna (the main square) or the gateway into the newer part of town. The rooms at Jardin des Reves are modern with traditional touches and colour. The bathrooms open off the bedrooms through an arch, with fresh water and good plumbing. Breakfast in the courtyard provides a good start to the day: freshly squeezed orange juice, semolina pancakes, sweet cakes, and soft crusty bread, good coffee, yogurt, fig and apricot jams, and honey. The courtyard terrace boasts a small pool, decorative shrubs, cactus and a lovely tree in a tub, basket chairs and lounge furniture. There's a reading and TV lounge with comfortable banquettes and cushions, books and chess, and a dining area (excellent dinners on request from the proprietor). The roof-top terrace is a special place to read, relax, and rest in the sun. The riad manager seems to work 24/7, always there with a smile, ready to assist. The proprietors, Antonio and Claudine, are very helpful with maps and directions, information etc. and they can arrange excursions if you want them. Their assistance was gratefully appreciated when our airport transfer failed to turn up and Antonio himself immediately took us to the airport.
