Absolutely incredible stay at Casas Brancas Hotel in Buzios. We stayed two nights in the summer and cannot speak highly enough of this place—we just wish we could have stayed longer.

The staff is definitely one of the highlights. Both Juliana and Gabriel were very kind and helpful. We had an early booking for a boat trip that required us to leave the hotel at 6 a.m., and they prepared a little breakfast bag for us to take on the go.

The rooms are beautiful. We had one with an ocean view and a small balcony—sublime! The food at the restaurant is delicious, as are the drinks. Breakfast is also amazing.

The hotel is very well located, just 5 minutes from the center (Rua das Pedras) and about 10 minutes from some lovely beaches. The only thing I’d like to point out is that there are quite a few stairs, so keep this in mind if anyone in your party has mobility issues.

We had the most wonderful stay at Casas Brancas Boutique Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The hotel’s breathtaking views over the bah are truly amazing — especially at sunset from the pool area.

Our room was beautifully designed, peaceful, and clean. The attention to detail throughout the property, from the decor to the service, reflects the care and pride the team puts into creating an exceptional experience.

A very special thank you to the entire staff for their kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness. Every team member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect — always ready with a smile. Big shout out to the breakfast staff as the menu and options were some of the best we have ever had.

Casas Brancas is truly a gem in Búzios. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and already planning our return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for elegance, tranquility, and world-class hospitality.

Absolutely superb stay. The rooms, common spaces, pool, loungers, and restaurant were all top notch. The service rivaled some of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. It felt like every time I left the room, I came back to it having been made up or turned down. The concierge services were extremely helpful, and the food at the restaurant was amazing for all meals of the day including the complimentary breakfast which was delicious and served at generous times. I cannot say enough positive words. They even had a to-go bag for me when I departed early in the morning! The location itself is perfect, can walk to anything important in Buzios, yet it is quiet and has stunning views from every corner.

This is the best property in Búzios, hands down. The building is beautiful, staff is very attentive and food is amazing. We spent 4 nights at Casas Brancas and wish we could stay longer. Breakfast was delicious and had many options to choose from (Aparecida served as every morning and she was great). Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and polite. My room was beautiful, bed was very comfortable. The pool was amazing and Casas Brancas is a walking distance from the Main Street (rua das Pedras) where all the shops and restaurants are located. We had dinner one night at Restaurant 74 which is located at Casas Brancas and food was delicious. Their attention to detail is impeccable.

Just perfect! The hotel is stunning with its natural, scandinavian-style look and feel. Peaceful despite being so close to all of the Buzios buzz. The decor is well-thought. Every single staff member is friendly and helpful. They really do care about making your stay comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. The hotel was very accomodating. Every little detail and attention from the welcome drink to the evening macaroons and goodbye gift was a lovely touch. Nothing to say on the cleanliness. Breakfast was unique and absolutely luscious. Everything is prepared there and then, high quality produce used and very natural. I recommend trying their cereal bar too. They were also very accomodating to my milk protein intolerances. The gym is a little dated but it is good enough for a short trip. Highly recommend this hotel!

The staff are wonderful, the continental breakfast is amazing and far, far better than anything we deem “continental breakfast” in the United States. The staff let us borrow beach towels to take to the beach, and when we told them we had to leave at 5am for the airport, they packed us a lunch to take on the road with us with sandwiches, fresh fruit, homemade granola bars, and drinks. This hotel far exceeded our expectations and would love to return someday. They truly know what “hospitality” is.

Both restaurants offer good quality food. If you are renting a car and coming from Rio the hotel offers ample parking. Rent a car in Brazil is like 5th the price of getting a transfer. I highly recommend this place.

This was a beautifully located boutique . The views are amazing , especially if you have a balcony facing the ocean. The place exudes ambiance if that is what you are looking for . The staff were extremely friendly, starting at check in ; Julianna and Gabriel were great. The breakfast staff were amazing serving all fresh ingredients most all made locally. It was a 10 year anniversary for us and when asked for a small charge they put rose petals and candles all around our unit . They go above and beyond and are all very nice people . They have on site parking as we used a rental vehicle and it’s gated . 5 minutes walk along a beautiful stone boardwalk gets you to an almost unlimited number of great restaurants and great shops. Casas Brancas was amazing as was Búzios itself. Highly recommended

Casas Brancas has a wonderful location and facilities. It is a short 5 minute walk from the main bars and restaurants, there are multiple beautiful beaches nearby and the pool area of the hotel itself is perfect.
Restaurant 74 is excellent for all meals. The breakfast offers many options and the cocktails and dinner service in the evening are some of the best you’ll find in the area.
We would return to Casas Brancas in a heart beat!

Wow wow wow Lovely hotel, perfect service and a winning location!! You must take a room with a sea view because it makes the stay perfect. Getting up in the morning or going to sleep in front of the view is something worth every fortune. The rooms are huge and clean. The breakfast is rich and delicious, the pool is fun and the hotel is right in the center. There is a large and tidy parking lot for free and the staff is dressed charmingly and special and does everything to leave with a smile. We spent one night at the Insoluto Hotel and there is nothing to compare it to!!

The room we had was run-down. The furniture and furnishings are shabby and beat-up. The sink was wobbling and the water would not drain properly. The shower drain was backing up. The common areas are not clean and not well cared for. Don't understand the excellent reviews that other travelers have left. I would not recommend this hotel for the price. The Worse Management I Ever Experienced at a Luxury Hotel. The Absolute worse luxury hotel experience I have ever had. The ground and hotel are stunningly beautifully. The cleaning staff is exceptionally friendly. The concierge and General Manager should be fired immediately in my opinion.

The hotel is a wonderful place to stay just do you research and make your plans because other you will be given subpar services. The services were so bad that I requested to see the General Manager two days later. Because the GM did not speak English well, he had the concierge translate. This meeting went horrible for everyone but what would you expect when the person you are complaining about is the one doing the transaction. That makes we wonder about the decision-making process of the GM. During the meeting I told the concierge that I believe that he gave suggestions because he was receiving bribes. He told me he found the word bribe offensive but that all concierges receive commissions for a referral. My problem is that when a guy is being paid to send you somewhere you usually are getting the best. You usually get the company that pays him the most. I thought is suggestions were bad and took away from my short vacation. I don’t know if there are other nicer hotels in the area, but I would not stay at this hotel because of the poor service and commissions being paid to the concierge to send you places.

Beautiful property, highly recommended to us by the Belmond Palace Hotel concierges in Rio....All gushed how beautiful and special this property is: and they were so right! Beautiful scenic views, perched above harbor but easy walking distance to downtown Buzios. Staff super nice, friendly, English speaking, room wonderfully furnished and strong AC to cool room. Breakfast included was sumptuous. Gym somewhat smaller but no one using it, so I had it to myself. They even mounted their heavy boxing bag for my use. Loved it there...would definitely return on future visits. Would not consider any other hotel here in Buzios!

Food was sophisticated, great and priced accordingly. Staff was vert kind, except for a few exceptions, but qho can't taint black the kindness of all others. Rooms were comfortable and each one was different from the other. The view from the restaurant and pool areas was gorgeous. Could It could not be better. location was excellent. Maybe you could be closer to a beach but anyway the sport at Buzios is to spend the day at a different beach every day, so being closer to one beach only helps once. This is still likely the best hotel. Don't expect 5 star hotels. Buzios does not have buildings. Nothing has more than 4 stories. this place had 32 rooms. Buzios is calm and nice. Don't expect a fancy shopping mall because there is none. This is a place to go and rest, go to beautiful beaches, walk every night and appreciate a calm and sometimes active nightlife, but surely nothing crazy.

Stay here!

What an amazing hotel. The view is absolutely stunning, and the whole hotel is serene. Reception was great, and speak a number of languages. The area is great, and a five minute walk to everything.

Definitely recommend, and hope to go back!

Everything about this hotel was amazing! The rooms and views are gorgeous! The service was excellent and they really went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect! The front desk was very helpful in booking excursions and reservations at beach clubs and the breakfast is amazing!

We were there for a friend’s wedding. It was pure bliss. The rooms are large and overlooking the bay. The view alone - from the room, from the pool, from the restaurant- is worth the $$. Hotel staff is super friendly, accommodating. Restaurant experience is to die for - from sumptuous, Home made breakfast to luxurious lunch (coconut ceviche, lobster ceviche and of course passion fruit caperihnas are a must!). The small downside is the pool itself - pretty dirty most of the time and pretty cold. Overall a great hotel, would stay there again.

Weather was amazing! We went in Spring time in Brazil, the nights were a little cooler and the days perfect. The staff are VERY accommodating and will book anything and help you arrange different activities in the area. I would hands down stay at this hotel again!

Highly recommend Casas Brancas

Casas Brancas is truly a first class boutique hotel that I will happily stay at again in the future. The staff was incredibly friendly and very service oriented. Most spoke English very well making it easier to feel at home and relax. Our suite was gorgeous with stunning views. Very comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed breakfast most mornings on our patio and would return in the evening to enjoy a bottle of wine and watch the sun set directly across the water from our balcony. The restaurant was fantastic with great food and great service. The property was very peaceful and truly helped us to feel away from the chaos of every day life. The property has its own parking lot which is a great perk in Buzios. Additionally, the staff surprised us (unprompted) with a birthday cake for my fiancée. All around a wonderful long weekend and we will definitely be back to stay again.

Buzios Gem

We had an excellent stay at Casas Brancas. From the moment I booked the room that staff at Casas Brancas were incredibly helpful with information on things to do in Buzios and they even arranged a fantastic driver to pick us up in Rio. Rachel, Gabriel and Alex were particularly very helpful.

The hotel itself is beautiful. As the name would suggest, most everything is white which made for a peaceful feeling stay. The views from almost every angle of the hotel are wonderful. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant 74 at the hotel serves the best food we had during our time in Buzios.

Highly recommend and plan to come back soon!

Fantastic hotel, amazing location!

The hotel would be perfect if it wasn't for the very limited TV channels in English (only CNN) and extremely slow wi-fi connection. Now, you may ask why would we want to watch TV while vacationing in paradise?! Well, you get a couple of rainy days like we did and you will see. I suggest you load your iPad with a few movies as a backup.
Other than that, the hotel is spetacular!!

Beautiful location and beautiful hotel. Common areas were lovely and view was spectacular. Some things could be updated, like the linens and towels. The pool area was under construction and the spa was closed - not disclosed ahead of time. Staff was kind and helpful with requests.
