We visit the Hilton for a 2 nights stay from Friday 30th Jan 26 - Sunday 1st Feb 26. The staff were very helpful and were able to advise on locations to visit during our short stay. Nothing was too much for the staff and everything was effortless.

Hilton Malta impresses with elegant halls, beautiful facilities, and truly 5‑star breakfast and pools. The location is excellent, offering easy access and great views. However, the rooms feel very basic in both design and amenities, lacking the luxury touches expected at this level. The contrast between the common areas and the rooms is clear, and the price of the stay is extremely high compared to what the rooms actually offer.

Fantastic property. The room was big and clean, with a king size bed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of pools to swim in and other facilities too. Will definitely stay here again next time I travel to Malta.

By far the best hotel we have ever stayed in – truly 5 stars!
Firstly, thank you. We would like to warmly thank all staff, as every individual we interacted with was phenomenal.
So, to give context – I’m kind of fussy. I’ve travelled extensively for 20 years with business, and this has resulted in many disappointing personal holidays, as I want and expect a certain level.
When booking holidays, “5 star” clearly means different things to different people, or different locations. Therefore, we knew we wanted to visit Malta, and made sure we did our homework on location and hotel beforehand.

Firstly, location. St. Julians is excellent. Nice restaurants, good bars. If you are younger and enjoy a thriving nightlife, then you have Paceville a short walk away. We wanted a more “resort feel” whilst still being close to stuff – this hit the nail on the head. Transport links are excellent and only a stroll from the hotel.
Regarding the hotel – faultless! We actually spent much more time in the hotel than anticipated. Pool great, general SPA and course available were fab, and the paid SPA services were excellent. The Thai restaurant in the hotel was simply awesome. We ate there on the first and the last night.
We secured a room with lounge access. WOW!!! What a lounge! I’ve been a loyal IHG member for 25 years and this exceeded any executive lounge I’ve been

The Hilton Malta is a strange one. The room was nice however the closed in balcony was very hot. You apparently have to request an open balcony on your reservation.
The hotel itself is an oasis next to a very busy built up area. The few restaurants within walking distance are all very nice, however if you venture down into the harbour, expect the usual tourist trap of bad service and inflated prices.
As for the hotel itself, it certainly has it's own quirks. The main pool is fine and there's no need for the crazy 7am dash for a sunbed, as the staff will always find you a sunbed and a parasol in the unlikely event of there not being one available. However the adult pools the sunbeds have cushions whilst the ones as the main pool don't - a quirk! We stayed in an Executive room on the 9h floor. It took 5 attempts and the intervention of customer services in the UK to fix the light on the balcony - not impressed!
Breakfast in the Executive Lounge was disappointing. I told the Duty Manager on check out that they should consider putting an eggs chef into the Exec Lounge. The answer was that they had tried it, however with a bit of though, they could replace the underused second coffee machine with an eggs station. As a result I had breakfast most mornings in the busier main restaurant. Would I stay there again - I'm not sure to be honest. I would rate it as a 4.5 star as opposed to a 5 star. Good but could do better. Finally, 12 noon check out is too early for a late flight home.

Friendly courteous staff. Even though one of our rooms was delayed in getting it ready for us we were upgraded to sea view from garden view. All in all we enjoyed our six night stay at this hotel and will love to return!

Hilton Malta is located next to a lovely marina with few high end restaurants located there. Getting to hotel/roads can be slightly tricky at rush hour but not a big deal

Hotel itself: Lovely building, with loads of amenities as you expect from a high end hotel. Nice and clean rooms(we were in a family suit). Staff are all attentive and smiling and want to help as much as they can. Few times we were not guided to the right information, this can only be due to lack of experience.
Food: we were on a half board package. Breakfast and dinner was really good, quality of some dishes could be better but the variety of food and desserts was great. The restaurants were all nice, comfortable and well-staffed. We didn’t particularly liked the dinner at Neba. In two occasions our requests at breakfast and dinner were ignored.
Minor complain about the buffet is that any drink you order for your table ( tea, water, soft drinks-we didn’t drink alcoholic beverages) will be charged to your room. This was not mentioned to us, and Expedia did not mention on their booking and we ended up with a bill for the beverages, something that we didn’t know we have to pay as no one had mentioned, so slightly unhappy with how we were misinformed. Spoke to duty manager at the checkout and didn’t feel she really appreciated my concern as a guest, despite repeating few times that I was unhappy with this.
Overall a good and nice stay but can be improved.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were incredibly attentive and made our stay absolutely perfect.

The rooms are beautiful and well proportioned. Food and drink is excellent, particularly the lovely Quartermaster bar over the marina.

Ana in the restaurant was a lovely host and made special arrangements for our daughters birthday. Prakash deserves a special mention as well for being incredibly helpful.

Perhaps the best hotel in Malta, The Hilton Malta, at St Julian’s bay is a lovely hotel with friendly and professional staff, its Exec lounge is one of the best I’ve visited. It’s a moments walk from bars, restaurants and public transport.

This is a beautiful hotel and staff are efficient and friendly.Pool area is good and normally plenty of sunbeds.We have been coming to this hotel for many years and look forward to our next visit.The only concern I have is that having paid to stay in an executive room there is access to the lounge.The food available seemed to be less varied than previously and once again little for vegetarians.Having at times previously eaten breakfast in the main dining area I am aware of the excellent quality of the food this is not replicated in the executive lounge

The Hilton Malta was perfect for our 1 week holiday, from the variety of the pool areas it offers to the food, service, leisure facilities and dining options.
The food, drinks and cocktails are reasonably priced and excellent quality. The staff that work there all make a great effort to make the experience memorable. Busses are a 5 min walk and it’s very easy to get around the island. Uber and Bolt very cheap as well. This hotel is in the better part of St Julian’s and is minutes away from a beautiful harbour.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, with stunning views, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the facilities were first class and the room with our own hot tub was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was impossible to set the room thermostat to a comfortable sleeping temperature. Our room had a beautiful seaside view, but it would get uncomfortably warm during the night. When we spoke to the front desk, we were told that air-conditioning was permanently turned off during the winter and that we should just leave the window/balcony door open. The next morning, my husband was covered in mosquito bites! How is this possible for a 5-star hotel?!! Management had to be convinced to lend us a fan. Don't stay here during Feb unless you like sleeping in 26-28°C. If the cleaning service wasn't as good as they were, I would have given this hotel a 1-star.

Breakfast buffet was decent. However, there was not a single dish or item that was memorable, except for the appalling cheese display that looked haphazardly cut and left out for way too long. Thankfully, the rest of the food looked fine. But the cheese was in the same, sad state for most of the week that we stayed.

As for the rest of the hotel, it's next to the beach, but there is no beach side access. You can see the beach from the garden, but there are service buildings and a trench in between. The surrounding area didn't feel safe at night, so we opted for food delivery, which was thankfully full of options and very convenient on the days we stayed in.

Overall, this was the worst Hilton we have ever stayed at. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed for 3 nights on a half-board basis and had a truly wonderful experience at Hilton St. Julian’s, Malta. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm and pleasant welcome.
My room was beautiful, offering stunning garden, pool, and sea views. The spa facilities were absolutely amazing, providing the perfect space to relax and unwind.
The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, going above and beyond to make my stay special. A special thanks to Supervisor Charith and his team Sunil, April, and others for their outstanding hospitality.

The location is fantastic, very close to Valletta, making it easy to explore. Initially, I had some doubts when booking, but as soon as I stepped inside the hotel, I knew I had made the best choice.

First from the check-in receptionist who was very professional and friendly. This first impression made our stay with smile. We used the 3rd floor room and it was very nice and spotless clean inside the room. The balcony had some trash but it was gone next day after room service.
Breakfast was wonderful with some local dishes gave us an introduction to Malta culture.
For the dinner at Oceana Restaurant, most of the dishes were delicious, however there were some menu that was flavorless. but overall very good.
Indoor pool(heated) kept my 2 and half year old daughter busy and she loved it. It was our everyday task to swim at the pool.
Again we loved the hotel and the staff member too.

The Malta Hilton is a perfectly fine Hilton property. Like most Hiltons, it feels very institutional, is always a tad messy (why can't they vacuum the carpets more!) and the service is good, but not memorable. The dining room feels like crowded cafeteria. But at least the gym and spa were particularly good.

The view was excellent. The pool was one of the largesr I've ever seen. The entire facility was beautiful and perfectly maintained. Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Didn't find any dining options nearby that offered sea views except ar the hotel itself which was a bit pricey. Moved from initial room at far corner of hotel above kitchens. Cooked breakfast avoided after wife was sick within minutes of first breakfast. Hot dishes were left to get cold. Canapés were more like salads. Long drinks initially were mostly ice. Management responded to concerns and The Blue Elephant Thai restaurant was consistently good. Rooms lacked character with an office chair and an uncomfortable couch. More suited for business/events.
