Room was very nice and the hotel is good but the wall between the rooms and especially the dividing door means every noise from another room is incredibly loud and my experience was not good as I had some very loud people next too me. When I was asked how the room was I said I had checked out early due to noise and the person on reception who asked me just replied “perfect” which showed the were not listening.

Our stay was a like a roller coaster. Overall, I do not recommend to stay at this hotel. We booked the most expensive/high-class room and upon check in it was dirty and disgusting. The shower was dirty and shower head crumbling apart from rust, bed sheets and towels were all dirty, room was dusty and has chunks of hair with dust hanging above the side of bed. Even though the issue was resolved upon complaint, it happened 2 more times. + the breakfast area is nasty, plates are all greasy, crumb are everywhere on the seats/floor/table, no proper cleaning done. Hotel has offered free ride and drink compensation, which is not enough to cover over all experience at the hotel. I wish we selected different place. The last to mention, i asked for partial refund, which managed said that will talk with reservation team as booked with Expedia and then ghosted me via whatsapp/email and then told Expedia that no refund will be given. Not a guest experience I would like to have on my celebration (we stayed 7 days)

Our room was rather big as was the bathroom, with a balcony with chairs and table. The room itself was very clean, everything was changed everyday. The shower was huge however we would have liked bigger towels( replaced daily) and a magnifying glass. The staff was amazing. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with plenty of maltese pastries and dishes and more.

Fabulous Hotel - Staff Amazing

The staff at Mercure St. Julian’s were absolutely incredible. We had a newborn baby and I (Mum) was in a wheelchair following an Achillies injury - they couldn’t have been more helpful, accommodating and kind. The room was perfect, the room and whole hotel was extremely clean, modern and spacious. Pool on roof and sunbathing terrace perfect. Can’t recommend enough.

My 2nd stay here and I will stay here again when I am next in Malta in October. The main positive for me is the location and the room is very quiet / good sound proofing and I can always get a full nights sleep which can be rare in St Julians. The staff are amazing. Very kind and helpful. Nespresso machine in room and free pods every day. Everything clean and tidy. Good fridge nice and cold. Perfect!

The hotel was not really that easy to find for me but, once found, it enjoyed it. It was clean, and everyone were very welcoming and friendly even down to the cleaner.the food was great. Though i feel they should limit doughnuts and increase their fruit supply. Maybe some of Malta local fruits. However you have a broad choices of food. I would appreciate if they had oat or soya milk or yogurt for lactose intolerant people. Or gluten intolerance people.
Overall it was a good experience. You get to keep your bag at the hotel too if you want. After check out and can chill in by the pool.

Hotel was great, ideal location for exploring from. Great bus links steps always from front door. Unlimited dining options within walking distance. Large clean/comfortable rooms, excellent bathrooms and shower. Amazing selection at buffet breakfast. Great roof terrace with pool for sunbathing and relaxing. Rooms cleaned daily. Would highly recommend staying here! (For sea views you would need to request a balcony room above the 5th floor.)

A brilliant hotel.

Very helpful staff throughout. Large and comfortable room with excellent walk-in shower, serviced very well every day. Extremely good breakfast with a great variety of cold and cooked food. The pool on the roof is quite small, and not much room around it, but nothing can be done about that - just wish they would turn off the so-called \"music/noise\", so that guests can just enjoy a peaceful time up there in the sunshine. Overall a most enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel itself was very good. Great breakfast and lovely rooftop pool. However, there is building work nearby and noise from the very lively resort of St Julian’s kept us awake - with nightclubs emptying in the early hours. It was very rowdy and we were on the 7th floor!!

It’s a really nice location. The bus was just down the road, with shops both high end and normal. Really loved this location. The hotel was good too. The breakfast was decent, however there were a lot of fruit flies buzzing around the food… for that reason didn’t eat much. No complementary water given either.

Yes, this place was so terrible I had to review it twice on Google and on Expedia as I booked it through here. I would give this place 0 stars if possible because our room, 903, had an INSECT INFESTATION. There were holes in the walls around outlets and the kitchenette which enabled ants? or some kind of insect into the room in this huge pile that got into my partner’s belongings. This was disgusting and took a lot of efforts on our part to have this taken serious by the hotel. We even asked to speak with the hotel manager and we were never contacted by them despite us asking many times as a result of this issue. I would never stay here again and would never recommend this hotel to anyone, not even my worst enemies. Again, this was absolutely disgusting and should’ve been handled with a lot more seriousness from hotel management. Very insulting that management could've even bother to make it a point to speak with us after such a gross issue at their establishment and after us asking multiple times. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

Nice modern property. Generally clean and new furnishings. The area was nice but directly outside the hotel was building works, which itself wasn’t too bad. But the street is narrow and drivers are impatient, beeping early in the morning and late in evening. Sometimes people loiter outside and the noise wakes you if your room has a balcony. I didn’t hear other residents or people in rooms around us so that was good. The hotel staff were friendly enough. The cleaning staff were cheerful. I do think they start too early in the morning. I was woken by some vigorous vacuuming and moving of furniture. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. The TV had mainly Italian and Austrian channels which is strange when the second language of the country is English! But we could log into YouTube and Netflix which was great. The WiFi in the hotel is very good much better than at home!! Fastest hotel WiFi I’ve ever used. The pool area was clean, wish the pool was warm in winter but it was nice to use. The area has plenty of restaurants and cafes, and you can get around the island easily on the bus or via taxi. We didn’t eat at the hotel as there was little to offer as vegans. I would definitely come to Malta again but I wouldn’t stay here again unless I needed to be in the immediate area.

We were extremely impressed with the welcome and the helpfulness and kindness of all the staff. They are very keen to make your stay the best ever. In the main they succeed.
We were less keen on the breakfast. The buffet style cooked food was always just warm and the fried eggs like rubber even when straight out of the kitchen. We found that they were baked not fried. The plates were not always squeaky clean but dishwasher smeared and on a few occasions had food residue - not the best way to start the day. If they offered eggs cooked to order, used warmed plates that were checked for cleanliness then everything could be perfect.

The area of St. Julian's is a going out area with a beautiful mariner. You will have to take a bus to go everywhere. But, the hotel is well situated for restaurants and the bus stop is only minute away.

The people who work in the hotel are very friendly. Breakfast is plentiful but not necessary the best.

The room facility is good. Kettle for my tea. The shower is the best.

Due to the continuous construction on the island, it is best not to get a room with balcony as you will hear a lot of noise. Also they face the front of the buildings, you will hear noises late into the evening.

We spent 7 days at the Mercure in at Julian’s. Although we spent most of our time out exploring Malta, when we were at the hotel the staff were very hospitable. The room was spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable! We would definitely come back and will miss Malta!

The rooms in the hotel were clean. The mattresses and pillows were exceptional.
Unfortunately on one of my days the bathroom drain got blocked and water flooded onto the bedroom and when I spoke to the supervisor Roland, he informed me that I just place some towels as there was no maintenance personnel available. My husband slipped but avoided an injury. The night supervisor Sultan was v helpful and mopped the floor for us.
It is important that the hotel has a duty maintenance person available to call in such emergencies.
I think customer service at the hotel could be improved.

My husband and I just enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Mercure. The hotel itself is modern, clean, with very friendly and helpful staff. Room facilities are good - good wifi, fridge, safe, tv (that you can input your own Netflix and Prime accounts into), wet room shower, comfortable bed. The rooftop pool is small but good to cool off, with spectacular views and a great spot to enjoy sunset with a cocktail. The excellent buffet breakfast has everything you could ask for and good coffee, with amazing pastries cooked onsite.
The location is ideal - bus stop ‘Ross’ is a 1-minute walk for buses to Valletta, Sliema ferries, and TD2 (or X2) to the airport. In the other direction buses go direct to Saint Paul, Golden Bay and the Gozo/Comino ferry port. Plus the hotel is right next to ‘Love’ harbour, surrounded by inviting bars and restaurants, or you can walk the seafront the whole way to Sliema ferries and Valletta, with charming restaurants dotted along the coastline. (St Julian in the other direction was a bit more 18-30, but that didn’t affect us at all).
We asked for a late checkout, which we paid a very small sum to have and made our last day much easier and fuller. We’d definitely stay here again - thank you!

The hotel is very well situated for St Julian's with access to plenty of good restaurants and bars. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
The suite had a great view and comfortable bed. There was very little storage area - and beware as the only shelves for clothes meant kneeling on the floor to use them. There are also no hooks for towels or shelves in the shower - so everything means bending down to the floor. Not great if you have back problems. Also be aware that the bathroom is only separated by glass doors from the rest of the room. Not sure when this trend for minimal privacy started but I am not a fan ! These are minor inconveniences and overall the hotel was a good choice. The staff on reception were really helpful and very responsive.

The location was perfect and a great variety of restaurants were within easy walking distance.
The breakfast this hotel offers was incredible and the choice was amazing.

What an amazing hotel! The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, the room was amazing even without a balcony or view. The rooftop pool was lovely, with staff being super attentive while we were up there and food/drink service throughout. Was especially gorgeous at night watching the sunset. The hotel is situated in an extremely well connected part of Malta, bus stops les than a minute walk away that will take you direct to the airport, or to Sliema to catch the ferries to other parts of the island. Honestly could not recommend Mercury hotel to everyone enough - hopefully we’ll be back soon!

The hotel is new therefore very clean and in a good location. There is no dinner facility in the hotel therefore you will have to eat out in the evening.

Dressing gowns and slippers are not provided in the room. Have to be paid for.

Not many of the staff spoke English and new to the area therefore no good recommendations around the area. No bookable links through the hotel to other hotels with more amenities or excursions.

A Portugese man at the front desk (terrible that I can't recall his name) helped me through my stay, from check in, answering several questions throughout, to check out. He's a real asset to the hotel, very professional, courteous, and genuinely helpful. My room was really lovely, amazing view, extremely comfortable. Breakfast was okay, pool area was charming enough. Location within St. Julians can't be beat. I would stay again.

Despite the great location, good service, the hotel looking pretty new, I was quite disappointed to see that the room that I stayed did not reflect at all the pictures that I saw before booking the hotel. I booked a “superior” room and I was given a room with a tiny window on the side that faced a brick wall. For the price I paid, it was just not worth it at all. Stay away from all the rooms 102,202,302,402,502,602,702,802 and so on…the rooms located on this side of the hotel is just disappointing. I was glad that I didn’t pay for breakfast because it was so overpriced and so basic, it’s pretty bad.
Watch out if you are using the car park, the hotel doesn’t keep track of guests using the car park meaning if anyone blocks you, you are in big trouble. That happened to us trying to leave the hotel, meaning we nearly missed our flight waiting for the hotel manager to find the guest who blocked us.

Parking is available but first come first serve basis, we had no issues with parking but you have to be very careful when parking as it is a two-way system and if a car is coming opposite it could become quite difficult. The room was spacious and had amenities you would expect of most decent hotels nowadays. The toilet and shower area was very clean and modern, shower was one of the best of the many hotels I have visited. My only criticism would be of the bed, we asked for a Double but it was too single bed joint so very uncomfortable.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful area. There is building work in the vicinity but it didn’t impact our stay. Comfortable stay, hard working staff and a nice breakfast.

Room nice , pool great, modern hotel with some small improvements to make. Brekafast bad quality of products, staff lost , not trained . One day no butter for the toast. Not enjoyable breakfast experience overall. Hope they will improve with time. On the other hand my bank contacted me that my card tried to be charged after leaving the hotel. It was declined as fraud suspect. For this reasons I am taking off this hotel from any future stays. Everything was paid on the check out so It is unacceptable to charge anyones cards without permission to do it! Pity because it is nice hotel.

Nice new hotel in great location

Newly opened hotel in central location. Finishing touches are still being carried out and refining their internal training.
Front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty.
Roof pool was a nice escape apart from guests not tidying up after themselves.
