A (possibly mentally ill or likely drunk) man entered the dorm room in the middle of the night and wouldn’t stop talking (either in a language none of the guests seemed to understand, or gibberish) and making loud noises and switching the lights on. Other guests in the dorm room repeatedly asked him to stop talking and be quiet, to no avail. He went on for hours. The guest in the bunk bed below me tried to reason with the man (and presumably went to the front desk to complain) but after all packed her things and left the hostel. I waited and tried to asleep again but was awake for most of the night. I only had to leave at 6:30 but at 5:45 I gave up and left. The room was otherwise loud with street noise and bright because of street lights. I wouldn’t recommend or stay at this hostel again.

Poor staff experience. The check in staff seemed rude and disinterested. Also you have to pay a deposit in cash but it was €7 euros to withdraw cash from the atm close by so I had to leave my passport. This was at no point locked away or stored safely and when I asked for it back I was offered someone else’s.
The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and smelt of urine and at no point in my stay were they cleaned.
The light from the corridor was flicking on and off all night which shone straight through the window.

Why did I give them my business?

The place smelled like sewer in each floor, the bathroom smell was awful. They provided a thin paper like blanket, I am still wondering why I peeled off the sheets to find human juices like on the mattress. Walls are also paper thin so you can hear everything from the adjacent room. The toilet didn’t have a flushing mechanism. Not even backpacking at “Bob’s Hostel” had such a bad experience. Location is great. I forget, I tried the AC unit, it didn’t work 😳

Shame on the owner of this rundown dump

Employees were fine (I felt sorry for them), though they lied about the warm water getting fixed. Property was not kept up what-so-ever. This owner is a SLUM LORD. The place was run down, dirty and falling apart... no hot water, wifi was spotty and slow, no light to each bed and some did not have working electrical outlets. And the place is not that cheap either. SHAME ON THE OWNER. Especially compared to what else is on the market.... you've been warned... stay away from this place .

Very poor hostel. Not worth staying at

The air conditioning in our room was broken, we did not sleep at night at all. The second day they have changed our room were the air conditioning was working, but stuck on a colder temperature, so, again we did not sleep well. The rooms, the bathroom and the hostel were not clean and everything was old. The only good thing was the breakfast, that was only 2.5 euros with a basic breakfast.

They over charged my friend staying here, they moved my stuff all around the room when it was in a corner out of the way and took some of my food. Then checking out they struggled giving me back my 5 euro deposot after giving them a key back so very very stressful dealing with lazy unqualified unorganized spain

The location is good and the staff were friendly. I was in a dormitory for 10 people on the ground floor. I’ve never tried staying in hostels before and for me I didn’t like not having privacy. I was travelling alone on this trip and am an older woman so I chose not to stay there for my holiday - the train to The costa del sol is cheap and reliable so I found alternative accommodation and commuted into Malaga to visit the attractions- I stayed half an hour away in Benalmádena

Terrible experiensse. The matress has plastic and make big noice all night when you move. There are bugs I think flees. You could feel tiny legs on skin and head. The staff are really nice. But hotel quality s horrible. Showers hotbwater dont work. You get boiling or reallybcold water. There was no wifi only at loby.

Then I reserved other night and was thrown at a jaillike room with no windows and working staff was there. There was no AIR CONDITION. and I reserved a room with AIR CONDITIONING AND A BALCONY. rhe mananger is so rude and would not care or resulve any issue.

Horrible experiense. There are bugs, still crawling invhair and my skin. Showers hot water didnt work sobIbtold then. They say “sorry the boiler was disconected because it was fixed now you need to wait 2 hours or go the the other side of building to shower”. I did, and the shower hot water didnt work, you get hot water for few seconds then really cold. It took me 2 hours to take a shower. I had cold so this was making it wost.
Second issue. Room wifi, on reservation says free wifi, it seems nothing works at this hostal. They told me “there is no wifi in that room, you need to use the lobby wifi”
The washing machine is in the luggage room whis is risky. Any body can open your bags.
Then I had to add one night WHICH INCLUDE AIR CONDITIONING AND BALCONY!!
They sent me to a jail like room with their staff/hostel workers. There was no windows and there was no air conditioning. They said in their system doesnt show AC was included. I showed them, it clearly includes. They said, “ actually there is air conditioning in that room, the thing is it doesnt work”

For me this is a SCAM, you dont sell something you dont have. Dont advertise AC if there is No AC, period!! Malaga is really hot. And you need air conditioning.
I talked to Vito about this, he was rude. They have time for new customers, but once you are stucked you are on your own. The lobby staff is so nice (with 2 exeptions).
One of them even offered me a free coctel drink, I prefer the Ac working than the drink

Could've been good, but for some annoyances

Stayed for 2 nights in Room 36, a 4 bed dorm with a private bathroom.

Each bed had a power socket and personal light. The bed linen where clean and there was an extra blanket for the winter. The mattress was covered with plastic sheeting. Unfortunately, this is something that really annoys me.

The shower and toilet were separate and had automated lighting, with the washbasin located in the room. All clean on arrival and is cleaned everyday. The shower door doesn't go all way to the bottom. This and general water splash from the shower means that the water spills out into the room. One night, I had to spend 2 minute drying the floor, so another annoyance.

The curtains in Room 36 really need fixing. It doesn't cover the whole window and isn't close enough to the window to shade light properly. So you end up with guests pulling the curtains to block out the light for themselves, only to open up the light for others.

Each bed comes with a locker, which should be able to hold a large suitcase or rucksack. You'll need a padlock for it though.

There's a kitchen on the top floor with cooking pots & pans, plates and other utensils. The kitchen is clean and kept clean by both guests and staff.

The Wifi is accessible throughout the hostel even on the roof terrace and works great.

Overall, there's a lot of good things in the hostel like the staff, the location and just general cleanliness. Then there's some annoyances.

Good value simple accommodation - helpful staff

Very helpful and friendly staff and very good value albeit facilities being fairly simple. Breakfast was very good value (€2 all you could eat). A friendly suggestion: rooms should have a \"night light\" as a totally dark room could be dangerous. One guy left very early in the dark and left the luggage draw open - someone else got up to use the toilet and measured their length. Luckily not badly hurt but woke us all up. Failing that - recommend you take a torch.

Single rooms not as good as other options i Malaga, but I stayed a day before new years eve when hotels were twice the usual rate. Stone floors and thin doors. But close to Metro if you need to leave for airport next day. Close to the Cafe Santa Canela which has good coffee and sandwiches.

It was ok and comfortable enough, although perhaps somewhat expensive for what it was. The major drawback was the fact the room got very warm and the balcony opened up on to an extremely noisy street. We travelled as a couple but I do think this place would be pretty much ideal for the solo traveller or groups of friends. It has a very good atmosphere.

I suppose it's my fault, but this place is a youth hostel, not a \"hostal\". It was cheap, but noisy with young people carrying on till all hours. The room had sheets on the bed, but no towels. Breakfast was minimalist - bread, jam and cereal. Pedro at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, however.

Hostel has a common area with TV/kitchen/terrace on level 4, free computers in the lobby common area with TV, public restrooms in all common areas. Rooms have nice, comfy beds with the basics for your stay, with ENSUITE bathroom facilities. There are also shared bathroom facilities on some floors. Lovely hostel facilities but ridiculously loud overnight

I stayed one Saturday night. Lovely facilities and good location. I was impressed by the room and the beds. The toilet seat in the bathroom was completely broken from the rest of the toilet and the shower clogged.

All of these things were ok. What was not ok was later at night. The reception decides to become a nightclub and the music was so ludicrously loud. Then one drunk guy was leaving the reception and going into the street and screaming every 10 minutes or so. Neighbours yelled at them to shut up!
At one point I went downstairs so I could use the bathroom without waking everyone in my room up and noted that the noise being generated by the loud music was ridiculous as there were only four people who were there drinking and dancing and having a grand time at the Expense of everyone else in hostel. I was fortunately leaving the hostel at 5 am to catch my flight and I was so incredibly happy to be leaving.

Might be great as a party hostel but absolutely not what I signed up for.

Checked in very late, around 1:30 am, slept, checked out next morning at 11:00, at check out time. Wasn't there long so cant comment on much. Room was small and a little overpriced for what it was. The lockers provided in the shared rooms is a great touch. Breakfast was ok, not great.

This was my first time to stay in a hostel. I was very impressed with the staff with their knowledge of the area and how to get around the city. They were very helpful whenever I had questions. The room was very clean. Close enough to the bus & train station that it was possible to walk to them. I would go back to this hostel anytime!

cheap but not worth it

It was a cheap hostel and wasn't too far away from the city center, but I found everything not as it seemed when I viewed this hostel. It took them 20 minutes to come to the door (after calling many times and ringing the bell) so I could go to reception and then the room I thought I booked turned out to be something different and they wouldn't even fix it. It seemed very unorganized, but then again they looked like they were remodeling, so I could have gone at a bad time.

El alojamiento es horrible ya que el cuarto de baño es compartido con otras habitaciones . Así no hay higiene . No tienen champú ni jabón . Es pésimo de higiene . Por lo general no lo recomiendo . Cuando vas a dormir se escucha los coches , camiones y motos por la carretera . Tenían que tener otro tipo de ventanas . No lo recomiendo .

Many beds had no lockable racks/cupboards for keeping bags (essential for all travellers) ... those under-bed baskets that were lockable required a trip to buy a padlock. The bunk lights and socket did not work on most beds. Other guests arrived at 1am and then another group at 2.30am ... didn't really get a night's sleep. And all for €32 ... not cheap at all.

Für drei Nächte ist die Unterkunft in Ordnung und wer gerne Party macht ist dort auch gut aufgehoben.
Aber ich fand es sehr laut, ein Zimmer mit einem winzigen Fenster und einer Klimaanlage die nie funktionierte, so dass es sehr stickig war. Außerdem hatten wir nur eine Dusche un WC auf der Etage und das auch nicht separat, wenn man duschen wollte war auch gleichzeitig das WC blockiert.

Tienen un chico por las mañanas que no habla español. No se entera. Se limitaba a decir Sorry, Sorry...Y estaba comiendo, pero se pone a atenderme y el tío seguía zampando y hablando con la boca llena.
Ya que estamos en España que gormen a su gente y que sepan hablar el idioma. Y de paso que les enseñen un mínimo de modales y de servicio de atención al cliente. Hay españoles en paro y contratan a gente que no tiene los mínimos para trabajar

Olor a quemado, a pintura, pagamos hab. doble superior y nos querían cobrar 3€ x toalla cuando estaban incluidas. Y al ducharte se llenaba de agua el baño. Y el papel higiénico estaba en un soporte enorme sin tapa, si te descuidabas al coger papel se caía el mega rollo de papel al piso.

Posizione davvero ottima al centro e al porto, soprattutto a due passi dalla stazione dei treni, comodissimo per l'aeroporto.
Unica pecca, nella camera con i servizi, non viene fornito un asciugamano (in fase di prenotazione NON viene indicato): se vuoi fare doccia o lavarti la faccia devi asciugarti con una maglietta o ...il lenzuolo. Basterebbe poco per qualche stellina in più e non andrebbe in rovina nessuno...

Si estáis pensando en ir, no vayáis, reservamos dos noches, la Segunda ni dormimos ahí y tuvimos que coger otro hotel. La primera noche al recogernos, nuestra habitación no abría, el chico de recepción subió a arreglarlo y nos tuvo dos horas esperando, tras esas dos horas no pudo abrirlo y nos dieron otra habitación a las 5 de la mañana, sin poder acceder a nuestras cosas, cambiarnos o cargar el móvil. Y encima la siguiente noche que decidimos no quedarnos por las malas condiciones y la habitación llena de telerañas, ni se han dignado a devolvernos el dinero. Una vergüenza.

Fatal. No vuelvo hay ni aún que me lo regalen. El hostel muy muy sucio. No tenia ni televisor en una habitación privada para 2. El hostel olía horrible. Esta muy muy sucio. Una experiencia que no me gustaría repetir. Y encima muy caro.

침대에 별도의 블라인드가 없어 약감 불편했습니다. 세면대가 방안에 있어 여러 사람이 있다면 불편할 것같습니다. 다행히 제 방에는 사람이 별로 없었음. 수건은 유료로 제공됩니다.

Nära centrum och allt. Rummet var rent, AC fungerade bra. Vi hade ett rum för oss två med toalett och dusch och hårtork. Duschen var sliten men ren. Personalen var trevliga och hjälpsamma.

I would not stay there again

Location ist great. Bed is o.k.
No possibility to lock your things in the bedroom.
All my things in the kitchen were gone within 2 hours. You get a card, but the downstairs door, leading to the bedrooms and kitchen was never locked.
The room door had to be unlocked every time. That's good!
The kitchen was full with a lot of strange people when I came back. There are 3 fridges, all of them not clean, no possibility to write your name or date with an edding. Fridges we're all full, with a lot of old stuff in there. Noone seems to bother.
There is free coffee downstairs, that is cold and can be heared with the microwave. For me a No-Go. I rather have instant coffee.
When I complained and asked for a reimbusement of my money because all my things in the kitchen got Stolen, they first said yes and then said no.
Would I stay there again? No!

El trato fue muy amable, había espacio para cenar.
No me gustó nada lo sucio que estaba el hotel y en general las habitaciones, las sábanas estaban sucias, no había ni gel de ducha. Hacia frío y no funcionaba la bomba de calor, en mitad de la noche comenzó a dar aire frío. Camas muy incómodas.

El hostel esta muy céntrico y esto es un buen punto; pero las ventanas no se cierran, hay mucho ruido por la noche y se escucha todo, para finalizar el servicio tampoco ha sido para nada bueno.

Die Lage ist top. Die Zimmer sind leider sehr alt und das Bad stinkt und ist voller Schimmel. Leider haben wir uns nicht wohl gefühlt, daher kann ich das Hostel nicht weiterempfehlen..

Partiendo que ws un edificio con cierta antiguedad. Las fots publicadas.. sin filtros please.. los aseos lo peor. La habitación sin cortinas..el hostel concentra mucho calor.
Especuialmente en verano.
No volvería..prefiero pagar algo mas la próxima vez con fotos reales...
