Some distance from airport but operate a shuttle s

Facilities in the room were poor. e.g 2 hob rings but no pans.,no dishes,only one teaspoon and no utensils. Only one hand towel. The motel was very noisy and staying there with an early flight was not appreciated. All in all not a rewarding experience.

Awful and disgusting

Appalling place, the entire facility is in a dreadful condition. It's dilapidated, dirty and in a really dodgy area. The photographs on expedia in no way reflect the true condition of this \"hotel\".

Expedia should remove this \"hotel\" from their web site immediately.

The only thing to recommend this motel is that they provide a shuttle to airport - which I'm quite perplexed as to why it's call airport in its name - being 10mins drive away does not entitle you to be called airport anything - and is misleading. It was run-down and dingy. No bed-side lamp (when asked they couldn't provide one either as they didn't have a light bulb for the brand new one they pulled out of back office), no aircon (provided a small oil heater which I had to get changed as it was not working), they advertise free wifi but that only works if you are in the office itself or on the stairs outside the room (which caused me to spend money on data to retrieve and deal with emails for work). No food places near by to get dinner but a very expensive delivery service from local restaurant - that can't follow a food order properly.

Airport pickup was nice and quick. Room was severely outdated with two random broken tv's, bathroom had rust on the mirror and mildew all over the shower. Located in a bad neighbourhood

Would not recommend at all. Paid $100 or so for the room and had a nightly rate sign of $40 outside of the motel. Frustrating to see.

Good value hotel close to airport

Free airport transfers at any hour, and 2 weeks secure free parking make this an attractive option.
For a budget hotel the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We have stayed at most of the budget hotels in this area and find this one the best option and use it frequently.

Very bad experience as ALL my luggage was stolen

Within two hours of putting my luggage in the room it was all stolen while I was out having a meal...no TV footage to identify burglar and I have had no communication from the staff to show any concern...the door was certainly locked as my son in law locked it and I watched him do it. The owners have my information...they could have contacted me since to discuss it....I was left with nothing but what I was wearing to fly half way round the world...and not a word from them to give me any support...disgusting...they just rang the police.

Our booking for this motel was confirmed 14th Feb. On the 18th of May we arrived in Auckland and were picked up by the motel shuttle but instead of being taken to the Airport Travel Air Motor Inn we were dropped off at a place called Silver Oak Inn so I can't give a review of the motel we were supposed to stay in. We were very disappointed that we weren't told earlier that they were booked out so we could choose a replacement ourselves instead of ending up where we did. Our unit 27 at this other place was definitely not what we would have chosen. It smelt dank and musty, had a bashed in toilet door, rotting carpet around the fridge, had a shower that looked in desperate need of updating and an uncomfortable bed. Having a decent nights sleep was important for us as we had an extra long flight the next day.

Ended in different hotel

We were collected by out booked hotel shuttle and told that they were overbooked. Our's was a prepaid room booking. They had booked us into and prepaid at another hotel (rating on room is for that hotel - Best Western near Auckland Airport). Unsettling as we never dealt with the managers of the hotel we stayed in - the room was not in our name.

Not sure what would happen if we had not been prepaid, just confirmed.

Poor customer service

Upon arrival, our room was not ready for another three hours past its promised time. Then, we were told the shuttle to the airport would not be able to accommodate more than one person's departure time. On finally getting the room, it smelled heavily of smoke (supposed to be non-smoking) and the windows were open. The cups in the room were also filled with liquids from the previous stay. It's close to the airport, but would not recommend.

Outside appearance and customer services left much to be desired. Shuttle driver experience was very uncomfortable, very unaccomodating and made it feel as if we would not be driven to the correct airport terminal.

Room and accommodations were a very pleasant surprise. Lots of room, very clean and comfortable.

Lack of attention to detail

is hotel was the only 1 pre-booked on my month long NZ trip. (Because of Airport proximity for return flight).
Was in Units 14, then 16. Neither Unit had bedside reading lights, though there is provision (holes) in bed surrounds for them. The TV remote could not control the TV in either unit, rendering them useless. Window catches missing, and drawer handles missing, in both units-all clearly missing for some time. Evidence that unit inspection and/or service & maintenance is not a priority. I stayed at several motels \"on spec\" during my NZ touring. Each one was kept in a superior condition to the Airport's, even when unlet! If weather on 29 March hadn't been so wet, I would have tried to find another motel for the final night.

Clean, comfort in sketchy neighbourhood

We needed a one night stop near the airport and this hotel had free transport services.
Check in was awkward, as the receptionist did not speak or understand English well. The room was clean, relatively spacious and had everything we could require for a one night stay.
The neighbourhood store cashier was barricaded behind bars. There was a sign in the lobby for \"day rates.\"
There was a free shuttle!

OK airport accommodation

The hotel is bit outdated and basic (nothing like the pictures). The rooms on the ground floor can be bit noisy. Had to wait for nearly 25 minutes for the pickup. All in all, it's a pricey option for what you get. If you are traveling alone, you can find better value elsewhere if you take Skybus ($30 NZD roundtrip) from the airport to the city proper (they run frequently 24/7 with convenient stops).

Great location to Winery and Airport

Looks were very deceiving once we got past the roughish area and external looks of the place and into the very nice room. The beds were extremely comfy and the locale to Villa Marie Winery and the Airport was just perfect. We were able to check in an hour early which was the ducks nuts.
All in all, great managers and very quiet in the early hours of the morning

We signed in but the welcome seemed to be less than friendly. The place was fully booked so the front staff does not need to be welcoming. In general I am not a demanding person, so we used it for one night because it is close to the airport for a multi night stay I would not recommend it.

Best thing is free airport shuttle

If you're just looking for an inexpensive place to put your head for the night, with easy access from and back to the airport, then this place works. Facility is old and was filled with families during my stay. The facility is old, outdated, and a bit rundown. Windows are oddly placed, so hopefully you're comfortable with hallway traffic catching a peek when you're on the toilet. The windows are frosted, but it's still disconcerting. They did have free WiFi, which was great. Would not stay again and would certainly not recommend anyone staying more than 1 night.

The neighbours were noisy as till all hours of the morning making my jetlag worse as I didn't actually get to sleep much. Pipes or something were also being real noisy keeping me up. The room was nice and friendly staff. Just hope you don't get put next too a big noisy family

The Airport Travel Air Motor Inn provided facilities for a comfortable stay. The microwave was useful, a feature not always included. The 24hr airport shuttle was very much appreciated. The bed was large & comfortable.

Complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Great value for money. The room was big and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was bit tired and the water pipes made a strange noise when using the taps. It was a 20 minute walk to Mangere town centre (easy to navigate) where we went for breakfast before heading back to the airport. Overall it was perfect for our needs (an overnight stay before a long-haul flight). The only recommendation I could make is for the staff to be a bit more welcoming. No one smiled or engaged in conversation. Maybe they were having a stressful day, I don't know. But it wouldn't stop me from going back.

Condition of hotel needs attention. Prices should be $10-$20 cheaper to reflect the condition of hotel. Wifi speed was terrible. Didn't realise free airport shuttle was only one way, and a charge of $15 if you want shuttle to collect you upon return. Won't stay again, will pay extra at other hotels in future.

Was a return visit - again, don't judge a book by its cover. While the extrior may look tired, the rooms are beautiful and the beds are one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in for a motel. The family units kitchen could do with a bit of TLC but as we weren't cooking this didn't bother me.
Being able to shut the door between the kitchen and bedroom was also a bonus so you didn't have the noise from the fridge.
There are great floor length blackout curtains - we slept in until 8.45am!
The only downside being close to the airport is that we had someone arrive at 2.00am in the unit beside us.

The hotel manager erroneously arranged our room from a bedroom with 3 double beds room to a studio room with 3 beds, so we requested for rearrangement. The staff apologized for their fault and said that the room was already engaged by other people and there's no more vacancy. We accepted the room already wrongly arranged because the hotel staff is very honest saying that the existing room was cheaper and refund the difference to us in cash immediately.

From the outside, this motel is not that appealing but my room was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, it was quiet even though right beside a main road, the curtains black out all outside light and you can close a door between the bedroom and \"kitchenette\" area making it quiet.

Great value choice for an overnight airport stay.

Free Airport shuttle works well, with minimal wait time. Staff are helpful, rooms spacious and very clean indeed... location is close to the airport, but quiet. Free wifi works, and a nearby restaurant...Bar & Baa....runs a free on demand shuttle service door to door that only takes a couple of minutes, and provided a very acceptable dinner.

Altogether, although it isn't much to look at, at its modest price point, this motel exceeded my expectations by a wide margin.

Recommended for a low cost overnighter at Auckland airport.

I would not recommend this to anyone, too many faults. Customer service wasn't good, was treated very bad. Don't believe what you see on their website, the place is very dirty and smells with rubbish laying everywhere, this place isn't suitable for anyone. I paid $95 for a night - not worth it at all and I feel really sad and disappointed, I also felt cheated that I paid big money to stay here and expected this place to be excellent , I would of been better to pay extra $5 to stay at one of the best service & Well cleaned place near the international airport I know that I would of been treated with respect and excellent service down the road at Hotel Novotel. I wasted $95 for staying here. In future I don't have any intention of staying ever here again or recommend this to anyone of my friends or family. This place is a absolute disgrace - VERY DISAPPOINTED

The staff, although friendly, were limited to check in and weren't able to provide a tax invoice, the manager was abrupt and dismissive... with better trained and empowered staff and a less grumpy manager this would be a great budget place overall.

This motel has seen no love for a long time. It wasn't a complete disaster - beds were ok. Big TV. Free transfer to and from airport. But otherwise just wanted to get out ASAP. Strange smell in bedroom. Mould around bathroom windows. Dated furniture.

Furniture and bedding appeared relatively new, but an older building that has been extremely poorly renovated and definitely not by a trade man, painting on walls terrible, tiles mismatched and not finished,large gaps between tiles and vanity.Lights that had no bulbs, almost nothing in the kitchenette area. Veranda running along back of units was grubby and had rusted old broken furniture sitting on it. Overall very tacky. The bedding was clean and fresh but the towels supplied had definitely seen better days.

We booked this hotel because it had free airport transfers and we could get breakfast there. The transfer arrived but the owner barely looked at us. He greeted us with grunts. It was a very uncomfortable drive to the hotel. When we got there we found out that they do not serve breakfast and were directed to the fuel station a few blocks away if we wanted food. The heater in the room didn't work and there were no light bulbs in the lamps. Limited options for cooking despite it being self contained. Single bed was too soft and extremely saggy. Drafty room. Someone's old sock was left in the room too. Late check out cost us $40. We had just been on a long haul flight from South America and 24 hours on the road, we were looking for a place that would make a quick meal and nap easy and comfortable. This place wasn't it.

Noisy neighbour knocking on door at 3am

Lots of beds. Clean and tidy nice and warm. Blankets lovely and cuddly.
Needs a revamp. Noisy. Bad food nearby.

Convenient hotel for Auckland Airport.

Room clean and tidy. An old building but rooms maintained and nicely redecorated. Good rate for what was provided.

Cheap hotel but OK

Cheap accommodation for those on a budget. Outdated rooms and bathroom with old soap left in the shower but bed seemed fresh and clean. Overall, it depends what you're used to, but for something cheap it was ok.
