The Motel has onsite parking though the security gates are not used at night for whatever reason. So public can walk in whenever they wish too
The Motel has undergone recent renovations so rooms are like new
Positives:
-Staff are polite and flexible with your comings and goings and will work around you.
-Location is close to Sylvia Park Shopping Centre and a trip to the city can be from 30 min to 15 min.
-Shower pressure will blow the spots off your back and are the shower stall is big enough to fit four people in if you wanted too
-Rooms are spotless and maintained each day
-Towels are great and thick
-Photos on website are accurate
Negatives:
-Single bed was as hard as a rock and my back made sure I knew it! Not advisable if you have back issues
-There is no where for you to hang suits, jackets. Clothes will have to remain in your suitcase
The bath room takes up 1/4 of the floor plan. Its a very large bathroom
-If sleeping in due to a late night it appears staff either do not communicate or, shrugs. Being woken by hammer drills on the outside wall next to you is not fun.
-There are no windows on the ground floor rooms. The rooms have an air vent that operates always. So only filtered air
-Not really a child friendly environment
-Toilet seat is like a public toilet seat. And toilet is quite high. Have a child? Bring a child seat perhaps
Other than that, the bed was the worst aspect for us. Way too hard.

I didnt knew it was emergency accomodation. The noise was horrendous till 2 am. No tea towel. Switching the tv up high on above a bed with kitchen utensils is not safe. The tv fell nearly on my head. I feel ripped off for $250! It was also advertised with breakfast.

Lots of people where I think living in the motel. Between 10pm-3am they’re fighting like hell running behind each other using f*** again and again. Me and my partner got scared and was unable to sleep. Pets making sounds. Ruin our trip. Money wasted. Bathroom condition was ugh. Not worth to stay.

So rude! 😡 Check out time is at 10am, the owner knocks and opens our door at 9AM and says “check out” whilst me and my partner were still asleep!! I was disgusted in what had happened and felt very uncomfortable. He wasn’t sincere with his “sorry” too. Never have I came across something like this! There were also smoke buds all over our room door. Very appalling and disgusting. Not worth the money.

The room is not in any sense ‘deluxe.. It is small/standard with no special fittings or features except a broken air conditioning unit. The furniture, fittings, carpets etc and dirty and sticky to the touch.
When asked at the front desk how they could possibly charge 300 + per night for what is obviously a very down-market motel, not a downtown hotel.The manager quite openly admitted, almost proudly, that they raised their rates because of a sports event of some kind. In other words, cheating customers who think $300 per night implies a high standard of room is just their good business practice.

Mold in bathroom and mirrors were spotted. Basin & shower were not adequately cleaned. Paint was pealing off the bathroom ceiling and particle board bathroom cabinetry was water damaged and breaking away.

The man at reception could not have been more helpful. While the place looks a bit scruffy from the outside, it was a wonderfully comfortable bed (and great pillows) and everything was clean. The shower, fridge and Sky TV all worked well, so it was all you'd really need!

Positives - good location and comfy bed.

Negatives - poor WIFI, cramped shower with low water pressure that doesn’t drain and you end up with a mini bath, serviced room one would think your bed is made daily which is not the case here and the heat pump not turned off everyday which results in freezing room when returning back in the evening that triggered an asthma attack 😬

Inexpensive motel close to Ellerslie.

I had read some of the not-so-good reviews after booking, so was pleasantly surprised on my visit. A clean and tidy unit. Unfortunately I couldn't park my car close to the unit, so had to walk a little way with my bags and up a flight of stairs. The unit looked just like the picture. TV easy to use. Had a reasonable sleep. The floor squeaked a bit which may have caused problems for those in the unit below. Overall quite happy with my stay.

Nice hotel service & location

Quiet place to chill. The location is close to the city of Auckland which is less than 30min drive away.

They did gave us 4gb of free wifi as well for 2 night stay (despite there are signage that wifi cost)

We are able to get the refill for shampoo & body wash as well.

The attendance is helpful and always willing to help (sometime at odd timing such as 10pm at night)

No light switches by the bed. Some disappointing features of this motel that could definitely do with improvement. When are some of these places going to start offering free wifi?

My daughter and I stayed here. The shower was absolutely RANK! There is no way it had been cleaned. Soap scum build up, shampoo splatters and the glass door was so gross! The toilet had a pubic hair on the seat on arrival. Didn't have basics like iron or hairdryer. We had a very uncomfortable stay purely due to the filthy environment. However the gentleman at reception was a real gem. Lovely service but a run down, over priced, filthy hotel I'd never stay at again.

very nice motel. very clean. staff are very polite and friendly. often at times going beyond where they had to go.
the only 3 things i could complain about is that the room was a little small and no set parks for your car for individual rooms. and no toaster.
other than that i can't think of anything else to complain about.
would recommend this motel if you need somewhere to stay

Easy to find off the motorway and although the motel is close to the road, it was quiet.Parking outside room. Good size room with double bed and single. New carpet. Double glazing. Good pressure in the shower. Good size bathroom area with separate toilet room. Tea, coffee and sugar and milk provided. Has fridge and microwave. Good size TV. Very clean premises as well as linen.
Has eating places within a couple of minutes walk.

I spent 3 days at the same motel and was upgraded to a larger room at no added cost. Very accessable to a variety of venues. The hotel manager was helpful and pleasant. Easy to find and not difficult to get onto the motorway to the airport.

We stay at the Sai often. Getting expensive but close to things we enjoy. Close to Mount Smart Stadium, train station and Wendys just across the road. Had to ask for a tea towel to dry dishes and had a damp spot on carpet just outside the bathroom.
