The staff was lovely. The building/ room is run down. The shower was poor with mold on the shelf, and the shower literally sounded like it was going to explode. The grouting was very poor in the bathroom look very unhygienic. The tap, in the bathroom was very hard to turn on. Okay for one night stay, but no we would not go back.

The room was in a very poor state. Damage to the room, smoke alarm removed, light shade falling down, shower nozzle wouldn't stay up at all and towels provided were very small with one set missing, Heat pump vents missing, bed was very hard and pillows worn out. The Freeview channels had next to no signal, the pictures on the site did not show any of this and must have been very old.

The room was dirty and the floor was sticky. Over deodorized. 2 towels only for 3 people. Heatpump was in disrepair. Flaking paint. Outside was mouldy and unkempt.
Looked like it was used for temporary/emergency housing.
We would definitely not recommend to anybody.

I have stayed here before but unfortunately this time round it was a little disappointing. The air conditioning didn’t function properly so it was very hot and stuffy. When one of the neighbouring units showered there was a loud squealing noise coming from the pipes. And although we booked for 3 people, there were only 2 towels and flannels provided. The staff were lovely though and check in/out was quick and easy.

Does what it says on the packet. Cheap but functional- was a shame the room smelled like stale cigarettes but was fine for a place to rest my head between activities. The free parking was fantastic though. A bit tired and run down - shower was old and mouldy but pressure was great. Limited pillows and towels but for the price wasn’t too bad

Check-in and check-out were easy, the staff were lovely, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. And we were close to the event we were attending over the long weekend.
A few concerns though; there was no smoke detector in the rooms and there was no fire extinguisher/fire blanket.
And there was no bin in the bathroom for female sanatory products.

Although everything appeared to be clean, found the stairs up to second floor not particularly safe. Bathroom toilet holder broken. No milk supplied and no cooking facilities. Outside presentation was very very unkempt and extremely shabby and alot of maintenance definitely required. I would not be staying there again and would not recommend anyone else to stay.

Just a couple of things were a little bit dirty. There was a little bit of soil, grass and a leaf on the floor and the cutlery and dishes needed to be rewashed before we could use them.
The whole place could do with a refresh but for the cheap price it was fine.
The person who checked me in was very nice, kind and patient. I was very tired and sad as my dog was in surgery getting an amputation so I was grateful that our host was really nice.

Firstly, the staff and servuce was 5 stars.... sadly the property and possible cleaning team/products theg are given to use have let this motel down.... its very rundown, rotting broken away kitchenette furniture, the room smelt of bleach (good as knew it was clean, but not pleasant smell), i was unsure if the previous guests sheets were just re-used as there seemed to be a few crumbs and hair in the bed. Only 1 top blanket was provided, this clearjg isnt changed each time as there was a dirty patch on it. Thank goodness the heatpump worked well as we would have been cold with the 1 polarfleece/mink type blanket. The shower pressure is Amazing!!! And the pillows super comfy! So we did have a good sleep as the room was very soundproof. Only have the TVNZ channels worked e.g. got channel 3 but not channel 2! The laundray bags were permanentky left outside our room and the dining chairs were covered in stains so much so we didnt want to sit on them ...under normal circumstances we have left yhe accom and asked for a different room however we were tired and in very late. I hope going forward the owners of this motel will do some maintenance, small cheap upgrades to furniture and provide their cleaning team with nicer scented products other than janola type bleach. As the the location is great as well as the staff we encountered. We travel a lot, and on a budget, it was a treat for us to stay in a motel so it was a big dissapointment that we couldnt enjoy our room due to the above

On walkng into the room it felt damp, smelt musty not the cleanest. You have toaster and microwave and jug, crockery a very old manky sponge scourer but no sink to wash the dishes leaving you to use the bathroom sink with no plug.
Broken toilet and tiles everything is just patched.
Bedding was a sheet and blanket there were cigarette burn holes in the bedding when i went to take out the extra blanket from the cupboard for my son it smelt of urine.
Hairs on the towels in the shower and sink.
Smoke alarm not attatched when i told the owner said he would come sort it never did. To expect a deposit of $100 in case you damage the property honestly not sure what would be noticed as damage.

It was not clean, black mould all or the lace curtains, floors were not mopped (photos taken) of unknown substance on the tiles.
No milk to go with the tea and coffee supply, uneven surfaces outside the doors making it harder for the wheelchair. The beds were harder than the tiled floor so no sleep at all making a very uncomfortable drive home. And when asked if by the owner and I told him this, he just said oh sorry and very quickly walked away.

Motel has a lower star rating but was convenient for my purpose of a Greenlane clinical center appointment, was able to walk to it, and the price was good.
Was also walking distance to shop in Newmarket.
No problems locating parking spaces for me.
Would use this motel again.

Staff at reception were very supportive. Rooms were spacious, however upon arrival room cleaniness was an issue but was attended to quickly after complaining. Ascot needs to concentrate on cleaniness and probably have a thorough inspections of their rooms before the guests checkin. Don't let guests pick up on matters that can be attended to before their checkin.

Old property, needs a revamp, sounded like rats running in ceiling, the jioning doors allow all the sounds and voices through. Staff were wonderful, was cheap to stay in but would not go back . It was clean but furnitures and fittings worn and tatty. Sorry would not go back .

Upon arriving you tell the room hadn’t been vacuumed, there was a ball of used chewing gum on the power point between the beds and toilet had paper floating in it. The air conditioner remote didn’t operate the aircon so we had to sleep with the balcony door open as the room was incredibly hot and humid which also let in the noise from traffic etc…. Would I go back hell no!!!

This is easily the worst place I have stayed. The property was dirty with splashed coffee and sauce on the walls around the kitchen and hair ties from a previous guest on the ledge in the bathroom. The building itself is in need of major repairs with broken outdoor steps which was a hazard to my children and all the latches on the windows were broken meaning they didn't close so we couldn't drown out the sound of the motorway. The floors were also filthy and left our feet black after walking barefoot. The pictures online of this place are clearly years old as the place is in need of a coat of paint and gardening. The beds were also very uncomfortable, the saving grace was the sheets were clean. Unfortunately we weren't provided with duvets and instead were given some cheap fake wool blankets that are past their prime. I was cold and didn't sleep much. There was also a real lack of furniture. No bed side tables, lamps, art , couch nothing ... Just a large room with a bed. Ultimately it was a real let down and I definitely think whomever the owner is needs to look at investing in some upkeep and improvements.

Everything xthat was needed was there for an overnight stay. Would have been nice to have a little milk provided for coffee.
Although the bathroom was fine, the shower pan will need attending to at some point as the shower pan is depressed in one corner, like the floor has rotted / gone underneath. There is no bounciness so is stable and safe but a little disconcerting.

The advertisement on the internet is misleading. We were taken to a very dusty, smelly room and I had to ask for another room. The staff took us to another room which I thought was better. Air con was very slow to work in the room and cannot turn the temperature below 19 degrees. Wifi signal was extra weak and staff was not helpful in providing a better access. Tables have not been wiped as food crumbles and hairs were there. Microwave was dirty. Cobwebs under the bathroom sink and there was no kitchen sink to wash plates/cups. The bathroom shower - water pressure was too strong and can't turn it down to run slowly. Worst of all is the beds had bed bugs and we couldn't sleep on the bed, ended up sitting on the chair all night. The room just smells like bed bugs. It's the most disgusting experience I've ever had in New Zealand. If only they do a very thorough cleaning of everything and get rid of the bed bugs, it would've been better. I am asking for a refund as both myself and my young daughter are struggling with itchiness and rashes from bed bugs. I have videos of the bed with the bugs. The office does not operate at night so there's no way you could complain after 10pm. Sadly, we had to leave in the morning before the front desk opens and could not speak to one of the staff face to face about this. I am never returning to this motel. What a sad experience for us, as we were hoping for a lovely time away with my daughter but ended up it was a sleepless night.

Considering how full the complex was, they should invest money into doing it up. TV and plugs didn't work, toilet looked like a new seat required, but the staff were pleasant enough. Might be time to double glaze, the traffic noise, not their fault, was insane.

Like a horror movie

On check in the receptionist informed us that there was a hole in the door and a crack in the wall in the second room so we received a discount,he offered to show us the room whoch i unfortinately declined.
When entering the room it reeked of cigarettes with all the curtaims and wondows closed.There were heaps of holes that had been patched up the cleanliness was nil,sheets were thin woth no mattress protector on bed,bathroom was disgusting with poo on the wall,no toulet roll holder and loo roll was om a plunger. Oven was old as the hills and never been cleaned with oven tray disgusting. Had a room for 5 but not enough cutlery or croquery for all of is only 2 or 3 of each, no frying pan to cook with.gardens overgrown with weeds.air conditioning units but no remotes to use them.if we didn't have all our luggage unpacked we would have left and stayed somewhere else. Dif not feel safe staying here at all.iv stayed in a lot of accommodation from backpackers to 5 star hotels and this os by far the worst iv ever seen. Dont see how they can justify charging the rates that they do.

Run down, holes in walls, noisey air con, was moved out of a family room to 2 studio rooms then I see someone going in and out of the room we were to have, no dual flush on toilet, tiles in bathroom badly finished.
The location is good, reasonable parking although labelling them would be a good idea. Bedding was clean, i guess you get what you pay for.
