This is a beautiful property. Very upscale on a lovely bay with gorgeous water. The all inclusive buffet was always great with a variety of types of local cuisine, seafood, stews, fresh fruits, breads, salad, pasta and more. Changes every day and every meal. The coffee bar is really good, as was the beach side snack shop. My room was lovely… huge… with a view of the ocean from balcony. I was there from Sunday to Wednesday and it was very quiet. It felt like there was more staff than guests, but it was nice to be so well attended. The poolside bar staff are the best!! Shout out to Hannady for making me a custom margarita with cranberry. You can red powder boards from their beach side, concession (not included) I had brought my own inflatable and they let me use a hand pump to pump it up! Loved my stay!!

We had a wonderful experience at the resort and will certainly be returning! Our only suggestion would be to consider shifting the music in the pool and common areas toward light tropical dancing vibes—such as classic Latin rhythms or merengue—rather than techno. This would better complement the beautiful atmosphere of the property.

It was an amazing trip especially, my stay at the hotel. I would say, this has been one the most accommodating hotels I’ve visited.

From the front desk, to the back house , everyone was exceptionally amazing ! To the managers, staff and stockholders- you are all doing an amazing job.

Front desk- Teresita, Johann, Suleidys, Wendy and the rest of the team were always very professional and acknowledging of my needs.
Housekeeping: Wendy & Altagracia were very helpful.

Bellman- Nathanael, Delvis, Danilo & Swami were always attentive to my needs and willing to assist at all times. This was truly “ Service with a smile !”

Kitchen/buffet : Kimbarly, Miguel, Jose, Nelson, Natasha- Amazing food ! Great job with the presentation, a wide variety of options and the seasoning 100% I fell at home!

Servers- Yerlenys, Rosami, Ashley and the entire crew I met were always so happy and provided top service .

Spa: Rosanna & Bernadetta : great service and ambiance! Esthetically pleasing and worth the visit!

Security: Mateo & Miguel- made me feel very safe and thank you for your help and protective.
I had an exceptional time during my stay - I recommend if you made it this far ,to visit without a doubt!

Very clean hotel. Food needs to improve, Italian restaurant its garbage. If you hungry after 10pm you'll get cold fried food and no other choices. Too many locals on the weekend or holidays, If that doesn't bother you, everything else should be fine.

Overall the experience sometimes you want to give it a five star. But I will have to say it fell just short only for two minor reasons.
The first was we we're received excellently, swami the Porter that greeted us made us feel welcome especially with the champagne !
However when we were directed to our rooms which by the way were impeccable. The phone and TV did not work. Now I do understand they just had a renovation recently so that is why this was not a big issue. We were immediately moved to a different room with everything in perfect order, however it is a large complex and we had to walk to the other end of the complex. This may have been due to the fact that that weekend is a holiday in the DR so they may have reserved other rooms and not been able to put us somewhere closer to the core of the action.
That being my first comment. The other was related to food in beverage. There are two restaurants on premise but you definitely have to make a reservation because the tables will fill up quickly because It's an all-inclusive. The buffet however was excellent Great selections from either breakfast lunch or dinner. But as in any all-inclusive get there early because once the rations are gone they will not be restocked.
Everyone was accommodating pleasant and knowledgeable.
I don't know if I could spend A whole week there but if it was a four or five day brief holiday absolutely.

The property was amazing. The food is very good and there is a good variety of choices. The staff was very kind and helpful, especially Delvis; he was very kind, helpful and happy to assist with any questions we had. He made sure to let us know about local events and activities we would be interested in. Overall he made the stay so much better.

The staff was great as well as the hotel itself was very clean. The air conditioner in the room did not work well. We had one hot shower all week. The fire alarm went off twice one night at 12:30 am and 1:00 am. The electricity went on and off several times. We had to request our room to be cleaned and the beer was never replenished.

This was by far my favorite stay in Santo Domingo furthermore- an all inclusive in this part of the country.

I had an amazing experience from the front desk- Teresita, Johan, Suleida and the entire staff were so welcoming and accommodating.

Bellman- Nathanael, Delvis, Swami and Danilo were top notch always with a smile and ready to assist.

Dining area- Miguel, Jose, Kimberly, Natasha, Ashley, Yerleny, Rosami, Nelson and the entire crew were always ready and able to assist. The food and atmosphere were excellent as well as, the service.

Security- I felt safer than back home. There were security guards everywhere and you don't see them, but they sure do see you. They come out of woods when you least expect them!

Spa- Rosanna y Benadeta we amazing!

In general, everyone is so attentive and ready to help! It's worth to try!

Rooms were beautiful, clean, better than the pictures.
The beach was clean, water was clear, music great.
The spa was worth the visit the massages were excellent the sauna was huge and the steam room was great. The views at the hot tub were great. Cooler hot tub temps though.

Definitely recommend this place and will be going back as soon as we can. Book the oven view, enjoy the buffets, and visit Catalina excursion, but book through nexus for best quality experience.

Hablaré desde mi experiencia, nosotros llegamos al hotel Santo Domingo Bay por pura coincidencia y fuimos de vacaciones con mi esposo y mi niña, buscaba algo tranquilo y relajado ya que con la niña es complicado estar en ambientes con muchos ruidos.
Al llegar al hotel nos llevamos la grata sorpresa de que era un hotel totalmente hermoso, limpio y nos recibió el Sr. Delvy (jamás olvidaré su amabilidad y esa alegría contagiosa). Llegamos realizamos el check in donde un punto a resaltar: el staff de adelante un poco serias y poco amables para mi gusto a la hora de recibirnos, solo nos explicó que teníamos que hacer reservación para cenar en el restaurante y ahí fue todo. A diferencia de otros hoteles que hemos ido la persona que nos realiza el check in nos explica a detalle el hotel y la hora de check out etc.
pero vale recalcar que el Sr Delvy se supo poner la camiseta y nos explicó absolutamente todo, inclusive nos olvidamos el peluche de mi niña y nos ayudó enviándolo en un taxi a aeropuerto (jamás olvidaremos la ayuda!).
Hablando del hotel:
- la comida súper buena, realmente buena, los dos restaurante uff! Inolvidables, desde la atención y la comida.
- el área de pisicina limpias
- los cuartos limpios y muy amplios

Realmente nos llevamos muy buena impresión del hotel y sus alreadedores.
Esperamos volver pronto, y si alguien me pregunta lo recomendaré siempre.
Esperamos puedan mantenerse tanto en calidad y servicio.

Las habitaciones son expectaculares, super cómodas, limpias y el staff de la limpieza super simpáticas y cumplian con las solicitudes que le pediamos. El hotel es precioso, super organizado y limpio. Cumple con las necesidades para huespedes con impedimentos. Accesible y cerca de negocios que puedes ir caminado. Aun no cuenta con organizacion de actividades recreativas diurnas ni nocturnas para el entretenimiento de los huéspedes, pero se pasa super y mas si vas en grupo como nosotros que eramos 15 en total. Consta de 2 restaurantes: asiático e italiano que están incluidos. Al lado del hotel tienen un club house privado que se pasa super, el ambiente es movido en especial los fines de semana y puedes comer ahi si gustas, hay bastante variedad, pero no esta incluido en el paquete del hotel. El área de las picinas y playa expectacular. Tienen un spot dinner y un coffee bar riquísimo. Mejorías: El staff de las meseras del buffet deben de ser mas comunicativas y estar mas al pendiente de las solicitudes del guest. Había que estar llamándolas para recordarles lo solicitado. En varias ocasiones les tenias que solicitar el café, jugo, porque no iban a la mesa a ofrecerlo automáticamente. Deben de mejorar en ese aspecto al igual que el menú, debe de haber mas variedad en el buffet. Entendemos que hace poco realizaron la apertura del hotel, pero son detalles que puedan afectar a la recomendación del mismo. Por ese motivo no le di clasificación de 5.

Mi esposo y yo no pudimos aprovecharlo mucho porque nos quedamos una noche debido a que el llegaba de viaje muy tarde y no queríamos conducir algo mas de una hora para llegar a casa; este hotel está a 12 minutos del aeropuerto, lo que nos favorecía bastante.

when I arrived the front desk supervisor named Samuel at the front desk assumed I didn't know Spanish and said to the person on the phone to see if there was availability yet for me to check in because I arrived one hour early...he said on the phone about me \"this woman is desperate. Are there any rooms available for this one?\" Samuel was training a person beside him (Angel) that was so uncomfortable with the interaction that he left. He then told me to hurry up because there was only 20 minutes left for that to be served in buffet.

I came back to see if there was a room available finally and he was not there anymore. I spoke to the next shift manager and let her know for the problem. The guy in training was there and confirmed all. She upgraded me to a room and when we went in it smelled like the toilet was clogged for days. the bell hop walked out and made them change our upgrade because even he was embarrassed. She (the evening manager Zuleyda) then upgraded me even to a very nice suite. i definitely was appreciative, but the smell still lingered. it seems it was in the air vents. it was faint but the smell was there.

was not able to go to any of the restaurants because I was only there or one evening. You have to make all reservations the morning of so by check-in you're stuck with the buffet which is also the only option for breakfast and lunch. the food was always cold there. it was a constant complaint from other guests. Coffee shop people and security were nice.

After 3 years of renovations the formerly known Belive Hamaca hotel is now reopened and rebranded. They did a great job with updating and refurbishing this run down hotel. Overall a 7/10 rating. I stayed in room 008, with 1 major problem: the toilet on the floor above me was leaking non stop with a constant non stop drip with smelly water. I told the reception about it, many promises, but the problem was never fixed, nor was I given an alternative room. Nor was my room cleaned during my 2 night stay. At checkout they tried to nor return my 200$ hold on my credit card, but I insisted on having it credited back to my card as I was checking out. So overal not the best experience. Buffet breakfast & dinner were good with lots of choices. Will I return on next business trip? I doubt it.

THE PLACE WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL AND CLEAN. BEDROOMS WERE SUPER BIG AND COMFORTABLE. FOOD WAS TASTY, BUT NOT A LOT OF VARIETY AND NOT HOT ENOUGH FOR MY LIKING. THEY DON'T HAVE ANY SHOWS OR CLUB FOR ENTEIRTEIMENT. I UNDERSTAND THEY RENOVATATED THE HOTEL AND THEY JUST OPEN IN JANUARY AND MAYBE THOSE THINGS WILL GET IMPROVED OR ADDED DOWN THE ROAD. Depending on which bar, the service varied. I once stood waiting 20 minutes for service with very few guests present and watched three barmen sing and dance, but I was never offered service. Even though I am 6'4\", I must have been invisible. The quality of the drinks was not excellent, only acceptable.
Room service was alright, but only was offered when I telephoned the reception desk, it was not automatic. The rooms were clean and modern, with a large screen TV, a well stocked refrigerator, and nice plush new towels. Every day the electicity shut off, but only for a few minutes each time.
In general the staff was polite. I must mention the security guard, Jordan, who went out of his way to show me the lay out of the hotel when he saw I was lost.

The service at the buffet varied. Some staff were attentive, but others need to be more observant. One day my family and I waited 50 minutes for table service, which never came, not even a glass of water.
Generally, the food was good, but a bit repetative. There are two specialty restaurants. I would not return to the Asian style restaurant, but the Italian style restaurant was quite good.

Rooms are up to date but the property is in the middle of renovation. So, a lot of construction going on around you and the floors and balcony were dirty with construction debris. When it rained, our bathroom was flooded with water coming through the light fixtures. We called the front desk, and they reattached the light fixture but never stopped the leak. We had two more days to go on our trip so we let it slide. We put a trash can in the bathroom and kept going. The staff is really not that talkative and friendly. They don’t explain much to you about what all the property offers or where anything is.

The Bar was a no for me, I would recommend bringing or buying your own personal bottle and having them make your drinks with it I wasn't familiar with any of the alcohol brands they had. I didn’t go to the spa. I will Say this resort had a very laid back feel to it more on the relaxing side and it was very family oriented. If your use to resorts having theme nights and activities this isn’t that kind of resort not to mention they are still doing construction on the property but I honestly never heard it just could see it . For the price and location I’d give it a 8/10.

Staff was wonderful! Upon entrance was greeted with mimosas. Balcony ocean view was everything. The staff at the bars were awesome johanny, esther, nicholas, jesus, melvin, are to name a few. They made the experience so much fun. Only issue was the first 2 days the power would go out, so you'd lose wifi, but it was back on promptly. I wish there was a little hotel night club. But, overall experience was a 10 out of 10.

Oh and the variety of food was amazing. I missed dinner one night, but they have a beach snack bar that was open late with actual Food.

There is another Resturant/bar next to the beach which i thought was included. Unfortunately i ended up paying almost $20 for a mixed drink.

Overall i would visit again!

Las habitaciones están bellas pero no tienen amenidades como shower cap, algodones, jabón en barra, acondicionador etc. Los cocteles no está aptos y el café no tiene mucha variedad de bakery. Creo que quizás es porque recién abrió.

Room is amazing. The beach is lacking marine life and water is very shallow. Food is eatable, but nothing really interesting. Staff it depends. There are lots of different people, some of them are great and some are rude.

Check-in was a nightmare, how in the world to you give me a room that's already occupied. I finally got the room I paid for on the 3rd attempt. Not enough beach umbrellas. Natasha the cook, Nelson the bartender and Danilo the porter all 5 stars employees. The nightly bar is way too small for a resort of this size, waiting time for drinks is unacceptable. The staff could be more welcoming, specially those wearing white shirts. A simple \" Good Morning \" or a smile goes a long way when dealing with the public. There's no entertainment at night. After a day of beach lounging, or going on a tour, some activities at night, might be just what the doctor ordered. The casino doesn't count. Overall, there's plenty of room for improvement .

The room itself was clean and well-kept.

Unfortunately, the overall experience fell far below expectations.

Aside from the concierge at arrival—whose name I believe was Danilo—who was professional and welcoming, the rest of the staff displayed a concerning lack of professionalism and customer service. Interactions with bartenders and other team members were consistently unpleasant and, at times, outright rude.

The food quality was also very poor, which further impacted our stay. More concerning, there were guests openly selling marijuana by the pool in the presence of families and children, which created an uncomfortable and inappropriate environment.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. I hope this feedback helps management address these issues and assists other travelers in making informed decisions when considering accommodations in Boca Chica.

Regrettably, I would not choose to stay here again.

la propoedad y planta físicas son buenas, pero es decepcionante que los empleados en general no están preparados a la altura para atender clientes, no tuvimos ni una buena experiencia, no saben hacer tragos, todas las bebidas de baja calidad, o son simpáticos como es el tipico dominicano, el buffet es una cosa insólita, toda la comida frías, nunca tenían los cubiertos y para traerte el cafe o el agua eran atrasos y muy tardes. podría seguir y no pararía m, el restaurante italiano debieran cerrarlos y el oriental, aunque la comida es buena, los empleados no saben atenderte la comidas llega toda junta, entrada, medio y plato fuerte al mismo tiempo y te dicen error de la cocina y muchas cosas más, no saben lo básico de como servir un vino tinto, extremadamente frio..

The property and facilities are good, but it's disappointing that the employees, in general, aren't adequately prepared to serve customers. We didn't have a single good experience. They don't know how to make cocktails, all the drinks are low quality, and they aren't friendly like the typical Dominican. The buffet is an absolute disaster; all the food is cold, they never have cutlery, and bringing coffee or water is always incredibly late. I could go on and on.
