There was trouble with the first 2 rooms but due to that they upgraded our room to the suite! Well worth the money and the pool/ hot ton was beautiful and nice to enjoy.

We rented 2 rooms. There was pubic hair in the soap dish. Hair all over the bathtubs in both rooms. The floors were dirty. Beds had crumbs leftover from other guests in them. Also a very strong Marijuana smell in the hallway coming from the room across from us. When we complained to the front desk they did absolutely nothing about it. Ive rented rooms here in the past with no issues but these things were absolutely uncalled for.

Room had hair in the tub. No toilet paper on the roll. Bathroom mirror and sink were filthy. Tv didnt work, bed was hard and lumpy. Could see daylight all around door frame. Walked outside one time and card would not work to let me re-enter, i had to walk to the office to have it handled. I only booked the room because i had to work and there was a snowstorm...i still ended up being late for work because after 11 inches of snow the parking lot had still not been plowed 10 hours later and i ended up getting stuck in it for 2.5 hours. VERY UNSATISFIED!!!

Checking in the man asking if we had a dog and I said no and for some reason he didn't believe me. After Checking in and driving around to our room he ran to the door we were entering to see if we had a dog then in the middle of the night they brought a cat and made it meow at our door to see if the dog would bark.Breakfast was a joke. Only dry stuff nothing hot when it is advertised as a full hot breakfast. They said they dont know how to operate the equipment that the person was off for the weekend. This is management. They don't know how to operate a microwave he said we dont do it that way upon looking in there kitchen there is nothing but microwaves no stove they are just to cheap and dont want to give proper food. The hotel itself is nice but management and the people that work there are horrible and uncomindating lazy and cheap.

Front desk person was nice, but upon arriving in our room we found the bathroom toilet and floor filthy. Something was smeared on the front of the toilet (very obvious if someone had actually cleaned the bathroom) and the floor had dried urine on it. After asking front desk for cleaning solution and a cloth, I was cleaning the bathroom myself only to find it filthy behind the toilet as well. A clean room is such an important part of a hotel stay and this is not acceptable. The wooden headboard attached to the wall also was covered in dust as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months. I think the cleaning staff needs some training.

The staff was very rude. The room service never showed up to maintain our room. There was no breakfast as advertised three out of the five mornings of our stay. Security doors were left unlocked at all times allowing anyone to walk in. My room had a bug in the bed the moment we walked in and the sheets were not clean. Room was decorated nicely but it was obvious the tile floor in the sink area had not been swept or mopped. Small trash left in the corner under the sink, behind the trash can. Dust bunny under the suitcase rack. Other specks of dirt near tub. Made me feel like they probably didn’t vacuum either so I looked closely and found evidence that was also true. Cleanliness should be most important at a hotel.

Was told me room was not going to be ready the first night, After looking for a new hotel and calling back to cancel my room was magically ready. Upon getting there the bathroom lighting never worked, and was never fixed, Lights in the room were burned out/ flickering, Microwave was not working when I got there, Temp gauge on the tub was broken, Room service never came or brough fresh towel any nights. Service greatly did not reflect the price I paid.

Ok for starters, it was under construction on the whole first floor, and no working elevator so we parked as close as possible to the outside door which had a pallet of construction supplies half blocking the entrance, then we walked into a full blown construction area with debris everywhere and then we had to move construction tote that was blocking the stairs the stairs were extremely dirty with trash from the construction site on them finally we got to the second floor and the stairway door was completely missing. So the beginning of the hallway there was more construction junk cluttering the area finally get to the room and there was a dirty mess at our room door , there was dirt and clutter all down the hallway, so we got inside the room and at first it seemed ok except the bathroom which had no shower curtain, and there was construction dust covering a good portion of many of the room and in the evening I had a hard time dealing with all the dust in the air

Probably the worst experience of my life. Beds were in terrible condition. 1 of 2 beds in room were broken and second one sagged too much. Pool had chlorine tablets thrown in the bottom where kids retrieved them and had to keep from little ones. Hot tub was out of commission, power equipment and hoses all on the pool floor. Door lock was loose, toilet leaked. No manager on duty or would respond for more than 4 days. Overall very disappointed with overall experience.

Our stay at Best Western, Shippensburg made me reconsider using these hotels more in the future. The decor of the room was a relief from other hotel franchises. This includes the paintings on the wall. Another pleasant find in this particular hotel was the refillable easy access shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles hanging on the wall in the shower. Finally, I also appreciated that you can control the heat and cool temperatures in the room.

The chair had really bad stains on it. The desk chair wouldn't go up or down. It's stuck as low as it will go which is to low for the desk. The chain for the door was just barely attached to the wall. The mattress was comfortable but not level. It felt like you were sleeping on your head. The room was clean otherwise. You could walk on the carpet without your socks getting dirty. The toilet clogged and when we called the front desk they didn't even have a plunger. Said they had to wait for maintenance to arrive. Breakfast was good and the dining staff were very pleasant.
