Villa Appiani is at a great location to get to center of Florence without being right in the center of it. It's a quite location where you can relax after a day of sightseeing and they have a great resturant. Also they provide shuttle service to the entrance of Florence at no extra cost. It's a bit of a walk but worth it. They have two drop off locations close to Florence or midway at another popular sightseeing stop. We really enjoyed staying there and would defenitely do so again if the opportunity arises.

This hotel is set in the most gorgeous villa, beautifully converted while keeping its charm. Everything during our stay felt just right — from the attentive staff to the spotless cleanliness. Even the hand soap stood out, with a fragrance more like a fine perfume.

The location is perfect, with amazing restaurants nearby and breathtaking walks along the Adda River. The stunning views and surrounding nature were the absolute highlight of our trip. We honestly didn’t stay long enough and are already planning a return visit.

Practical details were also excellent — free parking on-site and the convenience of electric vehicle chargers made our stay even easier. Considering everything that was offered, the price was incredible and felt like outstanding value.

All in all, this was without doubt the best place we stayed during our trip.

Short one night stop over, arrived late at night, but that wasn’t a problem and we were greeted warmly on arrival. Room was spacious and had beautiful balcony overlooking front of hotel in bedroom and also bathroom. Pity we couldn’t have stayed longer.

The hotel itself was beautiful. Nice seating and entrance area. Stunning restaurant in the courtyard.

The staff in the hotel were very helpful. They spoke good English. They helped me work out the bus routes I needed (looking it all up on their PC), suggested places for me to watch the football (including their big TV downstairs at the hotel) and offered to lend me an umbrella when it was raining (even though I was checking out, so they knew they wouldn't have got it back if I had taken it).

I had one of the cheaper rooms on the top floor with only a skylight. The room was fine with reasonable air conditioning. Comfy bed and quiet.

The resteraunt connected to the hotel did a great breakfast and wonderful evening meals (though the evening meals were a bit expensive - I spent roughly £50 for a 3 course meal there, and the servings aren't huge).

Good bus routes nearby with a direct bus into Milan (you have to get this bus from the side of the main road, which is basically a motorway, but its safe enough. There is a lay-by for the bus to pull in to) and buses to Lake Como etc. Just buy the passes on your phone and make sure they are activated before travelling.

The hotel is what would have originally been a magnificent villa - now refurbished in what might be called an ‘oppulent’ designer style. A bit OTT for our taste, but our room was spacious, pleasant, clean and well appointed.
The situation of the hotel is not as I expected from the photos (a view from a hill, overlooking a small town), it is directly on a very busy road IN Trezzo, which is basically a suburb of Milan. It’s always worth checking the map!
The restaurant offered a limited menu and the food was pretentious in presentation (rosebuds and scattered petals, no doubt applied with tweezers!) but mediocre in quality. Pasta stuck together in lumps and rice not just al dente, but chalky / gritty.
Don’t appreciate being patronised by waiters or shrugged at by hotel receptionists! Perhaps we didn’t fit the profile of their target clientele.

Excellent Hotel

Had a wonderful one night stay in this historic villa hotel en route from Basel to Trieste. We chose it for its position and restaurant both of which lived upto expectations. The town is small and quiet but the hotel had everything we required. Staff were very friendly and helpful and our dogs were made very welcome.

Fantastic hotel and staff

I have been staying at the hotel for a considerable time now on my frequent business trips to a local company. The entire staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful from the reception, in the dining room, and at the breakfast counter. There is always a warm welcome. I find the hotel very stylishly decorated. The rooms do vary in size and my favourite is one that looks on to the castle on the river. The indoor courtyard dining area is a special treat. The breakfast is copious, fresh and a perfect start to the day. Trezzo is not so big and there are some excellent alternative restaurant choices for variation. I use public transport from Milan - metro + local bus and back and forward to my client. All very doable with regular connections at key times. Bergamo is accessible as well via taxi. I consider the hotel a home from home and will continue to visit well into my retirement.

This is a lovely Boutique style hotel with a fantastic restaurant. The Staff are lovely and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. I am in this area on business very frequently and the Villa Appiani is always my first choice when looking for a nice place to stay.

Booked a Superior Double Room but was given a room in the roof with no proper window other than a roof light. Felt like sleeping in a box room. Was offered another room but at an extra 30Euros. Dissapointing and wouldn't recommend for this reason alone

Not sure what to make of this hotel

We arrived to the hotel outside it looked very nice walked into reception and had to ask if it was reception one man there booked us in told us our room number there is the lift you are on the first floor. The room was ok a bit small but clean bath room was good nice and clean but shower was very tiny ok if you are a size 10 lol .Bed was very uncomfortable and we kept rolling towards the middle of the bed . There was no bar in the hotel only a restaurant we had a meal in the evening not that good and a bit over priced we were charged 10 euros for chips on top of the price of the meal , staff were not very friendly . Breakfast was ok toast meat cheese cakes and cereal . The worse thing was there was a private party on the first night which was very noisey as the room where is was is just at the bottom of the stairs and no door to close to block out the noise.

Reception desk is so welcome on the first day but not helpful when we asked for restaurants information around neighborhood. He answered that a book in your rooms has those information. The room actual size is so small, it doesn't look like the pictures online. We greatly appreciated the services in the restaurant, specially the waiter named \"Fabio\". He is the best waiter we ever meet. He is so helpful in food and wine, and provided an excellent services during our stay. The food and price at the restaurant are great and acceptable to compare others in the neighborhood. We definitely will return to this hotel.

What a charming place!

Everything about this hotel was great! The room, and especially the bathroom, was huge by European standards. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is charming, in a neighborhood of beautiful homes. It is steps away from the scenic Adda River, with views of the Alps. The hotel has a full restaurant, but there are cafes nearby if you want to experience how the locals live and eat. The staff spoke excellent English, and gave a lot of good advice about getting around the area. The sumptuous breakfast buffet had a great variety of food, not just the cold cuts, rolls and pastries that one typically finds at a hotel on the Continent. The eggs were delicious!

I had the worst experience at this Hotel. My room was small, bathroom and toilets were not cleaned (!), air conditioning made a lot of noise even when it was turned off and there was no Wifi in the room - which was very important to me. After major complaining on my part to the unpleasant hotel staff, for the second night I got transferred to an executive room which was big, clean and had Wifi - however air conditioning was still noisy and furniture was quite old. Hotel manager, which realized the poor value for money, tried to offer me an additional stay for free however I am never going back to this Hotel nor recommending it to my friends and colleges!

We stayed for a long weekend as we had a wedding nearby. We were a large family group and had a meal there , pre arranged on the Friday night. Fillet steak cooked for 14 of us , perfect and the chocolate pudding was the best I have ever tasted. The hotel is lovely and the executive room we had was huge and very comfortable. the hotel is well placed for Bergamo and Milan and the town of Trezzo where it is situated is also very good with a UNESCO heritage site on the doorstep. The staff were really good and I would defininatley go back there.

Convenient hotel for Bergamo airport

We only stayed for one night. The room was clean and of a good size. The hotel offered good value for money and as I had such a good deal with the price I paid I guess there were better rooms available. The only niggle was the shower height which was set low and the fact neither of the sinks would hold water, both of which you would have thought could easily be fixed.
Evening meal and breakfast was very good and hotel staff efficient and helpful

So far, it's the best we've stayed in here in Italy. I slept 10 hours straight. Lot's of atmosphere. Walk out balconies. Very hard to find on GPS, but a delight. Good restaurant in house. Huge ceilings and windows. Large room and king bed. Big shower room. A great memory.

Great Hotel for Couples

Very helpful hotel staff who all spoke English. Hotel is a little out of the way if you don't have your own car, but public transport is cheap and very easy to get to Milan or Bergamo by bus. Just ask at the front desk for bus times and where to catch them.
In all other aspects the Hotel is great. Lovely decoration, great food and in a beautiful town/village. Highly recommended.

Special hotel off the beaten track.

You'll know you're in Italy, in the best sense of the word! It's an historic villa, beautifully decorated. Quite good staff--smart, resourceful. The hotel has a good layout, & everything works. Visually it's so posh Italian, tasteful, with some fun modern aspects of decor, but overall traditional, and it's located near restaurants and places to walk.

We were on a working trip, so we spent only short amounts of time at the hotel, but each of the five nights felt like \"coming home\" again. We were aided several times by the staff's quick help regarding finding transport, getting something printed, getting directions. Breakfast was good and attractive Room is not ultra- luxurious but is very nice. I would recommend adding Cream Rinse/Conditioner to the toiletries but that's a tiny point. Hotel was quiet, too.

We would definitely stay there again.

This grand hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and very helpful. It is easy to access the Milan Linate airport from here. The reception staff happily made calls to airlines etc. and translated for us. The breakfast buffet was included and was plentiful. The restaurant has seating in a centre courtyard under a very romantic marquee. The food and wine list are both excellent and very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again.

Family trip to Milan

Hotel met our expectations in terms of affordability and access to the autostrade (toll road). Very easy to find, in a very charming area, including a castle within steps of the hotel. Breakfest was excellent as was the overall service. English was a bit marginal in terms of answering some of our questions related to trains into Milan, but overall again was satisfactory.
Great family hotel, especially when in Europe it is difficult to find rooms that you can have 4 occupants, this was largely our main reason for picking this hotel.

Hotel Trezzo - very good quality

I stayed with my family and a Labrador dog (at no extra cost!) for two days. All my requirements were met - the rooms were very clean, comfortable and super-quiet. The staff were very friendly, more than usual Italian standards. The breakfast was very good, there is a wide selection of sweet and salty food - they told me they recently improved it after having had some reviews about that. Very good overall quality. The only hitch: the restaurant is a bit pricey. I will definitely go back again.

The hotel is very nice and cosy, rooms are spacious (so are bathrooms but not shower cabins — I barely fit in) and the restaurant is probably the best in town, with excellent food and a nice Italian wine collection. My only complaint is the locaton: I was looking for a hotel between Milan and the Bergamo airport, but Milan is a bit too far away for everyday visits. Also, beware of door stoppers, they are mounted very far from walls — I almost broke a couple of toes sleepwalking from the WC at night...

Perfect stopover

We chose the hotel due to its perfect location as a stopover en route from Switzerland to Venice. It is very easy to find in a lovely spot over a bridge and the family room was very spacious with huge bathroom. Decor great. Breakfast a bit sparse, but a lovely relaxing terrace setting. Would definitely recommend for comfort and cleanliness.

Absolut perfekt! Wir waren für das Fußballspiel in Bergamo auf der Suche nach einem Hotel. In Bergamo direkt hat uns nichts zugesagt. Die Autofahrt ca. 15-20 Minuten ist ja kein Problem. Das Hotel ist ein absolutes Schmuckstück, von außen, von innen, überall! Es ist wunderschön eingerichtet, modern und vor allem auch ruhig. Das Frühstück hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen und eher an ein deutsches Hotel erinnert. Hier hat nichts gefehlt. Besser geht nicht..! Wir waren eher traurig, dass wir nur eine Nacht dort waren..! Weiter so, absolut perfekt! 👍😇

Struttura molto bella, in particolare la sala colazione/pranzo, con piccolo parcheggio adiacente. Location strategica, con centro di Trezzo raggiungibile a piedi in pochi minuti e Leolandia a circa 1.5 km il che è un vantaggio soprattutto quando il traffico è intenso nel WE in quella direzione. Camere spaziose e pulite e personale cortese e pronto a soddisfare le esigenze dei clienti.

A little jewel of a hotel in a typical Italian villa. Excellent service and comfortable rooms. We didn’t eat there because the restaurant was fully booked. But my colleagues had said the restaurant is excellent. A very good breakfast however. Parking could be a challenge unless you arrive sufficiently early.

Das Restaurant war sehr schön und das Essen super.
Das Zimmer war zwar sauber, aber das Bett nicht bequem.
Was gar nicht ging war die Dusche. So klein. Mein Mann konnte sich kaum drehen in der Dusche, geschweige denn bücken. Der Duschkopf war sehr dreckig.

The receptionists of this hotel are really friendly and accommodating. The entrance hall is very nice and welcoming. The breakfast was really good in a cozy restaurant. Would definitely come back here.

Consigliata, posizione perfetta: Leolandia a 2 minuti di auto e passeggiando fuori dall’hotel si è subito in centro, vicinissima ad un bellissimo giardino con castello (400 metri) inoltre si può passeggiare lungo fiume fino alla diga della centrale idroelettrica, tutto fruibile in pochi minuti a piedi. Hotel molto comodo per i bimbi. Camere bellissime, accessoriate e profumate anche sé piccole. Presente ristorante all interno. Colazione eccezionale

Posizione strategica

Hotel dotato di parcheggio, situato in centro, comodo verso tutte le attrattività turistiche e a circa 20 minuti a piedi dal Live Music Center.
Personale cordiale e massima disponibilità nell'accogliere le richieste.
La stanza, seppure non grande, l'ho trovata pulita e funzionale, bagno impeccabile.
Consigliatissimo.

Nous avons payé une chambre supérieure avec un grand lit. Nous nous sommes retrouvés au sous sol ,où il n'y avait que 3 chambres avec barreaux aux fenêtres au même niveau uniquement des toilettes et la salle de réunion.Cela ressemblait plus a une ancienne chambre d'un membre du personnel ! Rapport qualité/prix complètement déconnecté.

J'ai eu la malchance d'être logé dans l'une des chambres les plus mal insonorisées de l'hôtel (la 606) située dans une des ailes du bâtiment et se trouvant à 30 mètres d'une route départementale sur laquelle la circulation est incessante et bruyante dès 4 heures du matin. Or, ce qui semble inconcevable pour ce type d'hôtel, il n'y a aucun double vitrage et les huisseries ferment mal.
Par ailleurs la décoration et le mobilier sont vieillots et un peu défraichis. Les rideaux ne couvrent même pas la totalité de la surface des fenêtres.
Il est temps que les propriétaires effectuent quelques travaux de modernisation des chambres pour que l'hôtel retrouve le standing d'un 4 étoiles.
