The room was nasty, we had to go buy cleaning supplies to clean the room. The bathroom sink was so dirty that the disinfectant wipe came out almoust black with hair all over it. The non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes and Marijuana. After seeing the room i refused to go eat breakfast, during check out the gentlemen could not give me a receipt and he was in charge of the hotal at that time walking around barefoot and having in nasty feet on the lobby furniture, hope he didn't help prepare breakfast after playing with his feet.
Do not recommend staying at this hotel, nasty, unkempt, smells, unprofessional and not caring.

No where online do the pictures show the doors open from the outside. The hotel is a complete dump. So gross. I had to kill a bug before my kids got in the shower. Yuck.

Most of the lights in our room didn’t work, and the room was very overpriced for its condition. There weren’t enough outlets for my husband to use his CPAP machine and still charge our phones at night. We only encountered the staff at check-in on Friday - the desk agent was fine, a little terse, but it was a Friday night on Mardi Gras/Valentine’s Weekend. There was either a fight or a party going on in the rooms around and outside our room on Saturday night - a ton of noise, yelling, running, and what sounded like banging on doors, which made it hard to sleep.

We did not stay. The first room smelled of mold and mildew and there was black mold growing around the tub. The moved us to another room and it was worse with the mold smell and the AC made a crazy noise. This hotel needs a major refurbishment. Staff was very understanding and said they would refund my money. I would not recommend this hotel.

I don’t usually write reviews but this was beyond awful. Pictures are grossly misleading, I should have read reviews. Filthy rooms. My kids feet were black from walking barefoot on the laminate floors in our room in less than 30 minutes. Visible mold in the bathrooms. Nasty microwave that hadn’t been cleaned in months so black mold all throughout the inside. “Hot breakfast” was an absolute joke. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me.

Check in clerk very rude and snarky. I had originally requested a room on the 1st floor. His reply: \"they don't look at that!\" I asked for assistance (I am 69 y/o) and his response: \"We don't have anyone. I'm the only one here!\" The toilet back up not once but twice on the 1st day and then again on the 2nd day. The response time was not very prompt. The room was not very clean. I've attached 2 pictures of the trash in the bathroom. The trash in the corner was there when I checked in and was there when I checked out. There was a small bug in the bathroom. No one came to clean the room, empty trash, or leave clean bath linens. I had to request it.

My wife and I checked in after 7. All good. Unloaded the car and headed out to a function. Returned and noticed the light in the bathroom rapidly blinked. Unable to leave it on, confined in a small room with a light blinking probably 4 times a second. Turn light out and take a bath. Each time a bath is taken when you drain the tub, clumps of hair comes out of the drain as the water trickles down. Disgusting. Sheets were clean but the mattress sheet had the filthiest black spot on it. Didn't want to sleep in that bed. In the morning, towel man beating on the door. The safety bolt on the door is missing. Finally took a chance to open the door to see what he wanted. Thankfully he was there to pick up dirty towels. Did not understand a word he said but I gave him the towels. I was gone all day but each morning there was no staff on duty. A box at the front desk to leave your key card if checking out but no one on duty to answer any type question. Only time I saw any one at the front desk was when I checked in. Half of the entry driveway is nothing but potholes. After the rain you better drive around the standing water because you might bust a tire. By far the WORST stay I have ever had. Best Western should be ashamed to be their name on this establishment.

Horrible hotel, the bathroom door had tape on it and would NOT close. The room smelled musty. The floor would turn your feet black. There was mold in the shower and rust all over the door frames. I had to clean out the drawers prior to putting our clothes in it. The free breakfast was a joke and hardly any options. The staff was friendly and bed were comfortable and that’s why I’m not giving it a worse review.

Upon check in we drove around back of the property and around a group of people playing sports in the parking lot and sitting outside with music and piles of alcohol containers. Our first rooms toilet was broken. Our second room was full of cigarette smoke and could not stay because my child’s allergies. The only other option was next door to the party at the end of the property. There was no suggestion on how to fix it or an option to get a refund. Horrible service and $250 down the drain.

The location was nice.
The pictures were very misleading.
It’s actually a motel.
The beds were very uncomfortable, and had very noisy frames.
There were moldy looking spots in the bathroom.
The shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed because the rod was falling out of the wall. The bathtub didn’t drain well either
The corners of the bathroom weren’t cleaned. Some of the lights didn’t work either

I work for a non-profit and am always looking for a nice, clean place at a low price. This SureStay isn’t horrible by any means. They changed out my towels and emptied trash after one night without being asked; the breakfast is skimpy, but there was hot sausage and egg patties. If you're there for business meetings, it's a tremendous location in Covington--very close to the highway, and there is a Race Track convenience store and places to eat within a short walking distance, but the hotel is right on a busy street; in this older building you can hear street noise; the walls are thin, so anyone talking outside is loud. This was OK for a two-night stay, I may reserve here again, but I'll probably shop around a bit. You’d certainly be fine here for one night. Bed and pillows were OK, not great. I don't mean to trash this property; I've stayed in much worse. I didn't feel unsafe. On a scale of one to ten, I'd rate 6.5

This time, there was a bad odor when I first walked in ... I think from a previous smoker in the room, but I got use to it and it didn't give me a headache. Room had mold in the AC unit which made me have a bad allergic reaction. It was very humid in the room. I put the AC on a certain temp to try and pull some of the humidity out of room while I ran an errand. The cleaning person turned it back up several degrees. When I showered, I looked up and there’s mold on the ceiling. Cleaning person needs to do a more detailed job cleaning in the bathroom.

Just an over all gross place.

Do not stay here. The bathtub was filthy (we never used it), the breakfast was terrible, and the smoke alarm kept going off in the middle of the night both nights. Pool area was also filthy and the housekeeper’s kids were running around on bikes being disruptive and trying to get people to let them in so they could bike there. The beds were fine but that was it. It was just not at all a clean or kept up place. Won’t ever be back.

First red flag was the mattresses in the walkway, hair and dirt on the bathroom floor, furniture damaged and sheets stained and torn. Beds were uncomfortable and seemed broken. A woman and her kids were hanging on the balcony next to our room and she was cursing up a storm. A man underneath us was just chain smoking. No elevator and very steep stairs. When I went to the lobby to ask about cancellation policy I noticed every single chair in the lobby was stained. Largely stained. I figured if they don't care at what the lobby looks like, what does the kitchen look like. We left immediately.

My husband and I checked in late on Friday it was pretty close time to go to bed. As we were preparing to go to sleep an eighteen wheeler parked outside by our room. The truck was running and it was extremely loud.
We were moved to another room. The room had roaches and smelled like mold. We had to leave and go to another hotel. We called management the next day and he refused to give us a refund. He charged us for the room on Saturday and we weren’t even there!
MANAGER was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. It was a horrible experience. We will never go back nor refer anyone there. The light fixtures were broken as well. There also seemed like a lot of riff raff (if you know what I mean).

First room had shower and sink draining issues and air didn’t work. Switched rooms and had same drainage issues. Stayed only bc we got in at 3:30am and was too tired to find another room.
Room looked like it hasn’t been updated since the 80’s.
I booked for 3 nights initially thru Expedia and asked to cancel the next 2 nights with a refund or credit towards another property bc of issues. Expedia rep called hotel and they denied all allegations. Even said they didn’t put us in another room.

I paid extra to have a 1st floor room. Was given a 2nd floor room. The front desk guy said he would refund that portion, so cool. Got to the room and it reeked of cigarettes and sewage. There were dirty paw prints on one bed (in a pet free hotel). There were curly black hairs (use your imagination here) the other bed. Every single drawer had a dead bug infestation. Like MULTIPLE dead bugs. The bathtub had living and dead bugs in it. It was disgusting.

1. We were put in a room used for guests with pets. I had no pets and asked to be put in a different room, but was refused. My son and I spent the night sneezing our heads off.
2. Our room was at the very end of the hall, right next to an entry/exit door that started slamming at 5am.
3. Around 2am, I needed to purchase some items from the market and the receptionist was no where to be found. I waited for 5 to 10 minutes and no one showed up.
4. The smell of the lobby was overbearing, like they are trying to cover up the smell of something else.

This is your average motel. The beds were not amazing but did the trick, the bedding was thin but they had extra blankets, the amenities were small/unimpressive but were available without issue, etc. It is what you would expect for a normal motel. Service was very friendly though not the most accommodating, ex: had to fetch things from the front desk versus them bringing them to the room, had to ask for the breakfast bar to be refilled. No big issues.

Got zero sleep after driving all day. So tired and sore from lhaving mattress springs poking me all over.

Room stunk of heavy smoking literally made me eyes turn red and itchy.And I smoke.
Sink had 12\" chunk glued back in .

We had several rooms. The first would not open. The second had a dirty floor and 2 guests next door who were playing loud music with the door open. The third room had a dirty bathtub with a pubic hair in it. The air conditioning in 2 rooms we did get into was very humid. Staff was helpful in switching rooms, but as storm refugees we were too exhausted and just settled on third room. Breakfast had good sausage. But rooms were horrible for $125 per night.
