Nestled right on the edge of the Bosphorus in the heart of Ortaköy, the hotel offers unparalleled views of the water and the iconic Bosphorus Bridge. Waking up to that view felt like living in a postcard, peaceful, magical, and deeply inspiring.

The rooms are a true masterpiece: tastefully designed with high ceilings, soft textures, and a calming aesthetic that blends comfort with elegance. Every detail, from the linens to the lighting, is carefully curated to create a space that is both soothing and sophisticated.

The staff were simply outstanding. Warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, they went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and cared for. Every request was met with a smile, and their local knowledge made exploring the area a delight. Special thanks to Kivane and furhan!

Breakfast each morning was a highlight, beautifully presented, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Whether enjoying it on the terrace with a breeze from the Bosphorus or in the cozy dining room, it felt more like a curated experience than just a meal.

Rooms are quite small, and those facing towards the bridge can be a little noisy at weekends from the beat of a nightclub.

I was incredibly disappointed. The place needs a remodel and a new lobby. The staff is kind and trying their best, but it's definitely not more than a 3-star hotel. It's outdated and dirty. I would not return until they remodel and clean the place with bleach.

This hotel is a gem located right along the Bosphorus. Easy access to the ferry, solid dining options and walkable destinations abound.
Couple of things to note... 1. Road access to the hotel is limited by time of day, and is routinely pedestrian only. This means that you will likely need to carry bags to / from the hotel from the main road (about 75 meters). 2. There is a night club somewhere close to the hotel that plays house music (thumping bass) until about 2am on weeknights and 4am on weekends, so ask for a room on the opposite side.

Excellent stay! A great area for markets, cafes, bars and the pier to get to the Asian side/Galata/Besiktas!

Yes the clubs nearby are loud but personally it didn’t bother us

Just be aware that taxis won’t drop off near there late in the evening due to the busy area with bars etc so you may need to walk from further down

The hotel is lovely and located right on the Bosporus. There is a ferry right next door. LOur room was clean and comfortable with many luxurious touches. We had a terrace with a partial view of the water. Breakfast was incredible - great food but way more than anyone could possibly eat. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful - only one person at the front desk unhelpful getting a dinner reservation and then just escorting us to the curb when I asked him to call a taxi. I flagged one down myself. Everyone else was wonderful. My only warning is that the once lovely square with the view of the charming mosque has been taken over by loud rip- off restaurants and fast food chains. Cross the busy shore toad and walk in two or three blocks away from the water and there are lots of great local restaurants in the backstreets.

Be aware of noise levels - The Stay Bosphorus

Staff was excellent- some confusion about breakfast. Gave us the run-around as to where breakfast was being served and we were request to pay by cash or card when in fact it was included in our stay. Bad communication. The disco / techno noise levels at night was extreme going till 5am EVERY DAY (earplugs to bed).
They tried their best to make everything ok for as after we formally complained.
That’s all.

The property had an amazing view - however it was very loud. The bars/clubs in the area didn't stop their loud Music until about 4am. The mosque and call to prayer was also very loud and the first call was at 6am. I barely had any sleep while staying at this property.

Room was beautiful ans the view was spectacular!

BUT. Its a very loud area at night making hard to have a good sleep. You can hear the outside music from bars and restaurant until almost 4am. It doesn’t matter which day of the week.
I wish I were aware of this before we booked it.
Other than that. Greag hotel.

The room provided was very small for the amount charged and some staffs were not friendly. I had to ask where the breakfast the next day going to be. Not a VIP access treatment at all. Traffic to get there were very bad especially on Friday night

The neighborhood is noisy till 1-2 am. But lucky us, our room was in the highest floor so it didn’t bother us.
Water pressure in the bathroom was bit unpredictable.

Reciption staff refused to upgrade my suite to Bosporus view suite (due to non availability), however, when I insisted, they surprisingly offered me the upgrade but for an extra fee which I declined! My Gold & VIP benefits were NOT recognized at all! I had 4 rooms booked with them….
Other than that, the hotel and its rooms are overall nice, on the top of its great location. Regards

Amazing spectacular hotel. Very elegant, clean, great friendly service. The view from our room balcony was incredibly beautiful. The only thing is that this hotel is not close to the tourist sites and mesquites etc, which we knew when we book the hotel. So had to depend a lot of public transportation to go back and forth from the hotel to the sites etc. Other than this the hotel is excellent and beautiful.

A good stay. They were undergoing rénovations in the main building so my stay was in the annex building.
A floor up without lift and heavy bags.
Great location which also means lots of noise.
Was hard to sleep with a club right next door playing well into the early morning and then call to prayers from the mosque right next door.

Don't pay for breakfast. There's an excellent cafe right next door with good breakfast and spectacular views

One of our most treasured memories.

We experienced the most amazing time during our four day stay. The hotel location is breathtaking. The view from our room , stunning both by day and by night. The staff were beyond helful and so happy. They helped us find our way around town. Arranged taxi service, and even brought a traveling medic to our hotel for required PCR testing. The food was fresh and delicious. Each morning we were greeted at breakfast with a visual and gastronomic delight. I must rate this stay as one of our most treasured memories.

The hotel was a small boutique type hotel. Great service. We stayed at the urban penthouse suite. The view was amazing and the buffet was delicious! It was quite far away from the center of all the spots but a cab ride away and your there. Highly recommended!

Great views but so many things wrong...

Upon arrival we were told that the “restaurant” was under construction and that we would have to take our breakfast each day in our room. This proved to be a struggle as the food was brought in from a local café who struggled to understand our order. It was so much hassle that we decided not to bother at all on the second day even though breakfast was included. I would note that we were not informed about this while booking and there was no compensation offered.
Then it transpired that there was no bar in the hotel !?! When we ordered drinks for the room they apparently came from a local bar which, apart from being very expensive, took ages to arrive – over 50 mins one day with no apology. And then we had to pay cash for them rather than add to the room bill! Again, no hint of any compensation.
And if you want a good night’s sleep forget it! On weekends it is party city outside the hotel until 3am and the Mosque next door has a call to prayer just after 4am every night!
We then had a “Peeping Tom” on our “private” balcony peering in through our bedroom window.
I rang Reception but without badgering they did nothing. After this we no longer felt safe or comfortable in the room.
All in all, for £400 per night we expected much better!

The Hotel staff was very helpful and always so humble and hospitable. The room itself was clean and well stocked. They really took care of us. The of Bosphorus is unbeatable and so is the locations. Everything is close by and within steps are the market, and restaurants and night life and even public transportation. We are staying there every time we visit.

We really enjoyed our time at 'The Stay' Bosphorus but wish the hotel was more of a landmark in the area 'Ortakoy'. We had a few difficulties with taxi's getting to and from the hotel but the hotel itself was lovely. Beautifully decorated rooms with everything you need. The elevator is a tad small but it wasn't really an issue. If you are looking for something near to the Asma Sultan wedding venue or close to Nisantasi or Bebek - this is a great choice! Staff are sweet and helpful!

Nice boutique hotel with Superb location

Location was top. We were hoping to have a bath tub but we understand that it’s a boutique hotel and often small size. Our balcony was superb you couldn’t ask for a better balcony right in front of the Bosphorus. Neighbourhood was really nice, nice bar right next to our hotwl xalled Banyan and we enjoyed having dinner and having drinks there with a nice few. Room design was very nice just amenities cpuld be improved, hotel restaurant also very nice. Lobby and elevator very small but again it’s a boutique hotel. All the people at the front deak were very helpful and nice. Would definitely recommend this place.
