We had a fantastic, much needed relaxing break. It was our first time at Ullesthorpe Hall and we were so impressed. Our room and the hotel in general was very clean. The staff were amazing and they all seemed very happy in their jobs. We had dinner and breakfast here and the food was delicious, the best Chocolate Brownie ive ever had! The main reason for being there was for us to use the leisure facilities and they didn't disappoint. I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this hotel and we will be back.

Unfortunately bathroom ceiling was leaking but no quibble the staff immediately changed our room to upgraded one. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals were all very good. Would definitely come again

The staff were all friendly and accommodating.
Rooms were clean and spacious. The only problem with the room was the carpet needed updating.
The leisure facilities were good and we loved the hot tub.
The food in the bar in the evening was delicious at a reasonable price and the breakfast was great with plenty of choices.

I was a little worried that the hotel only offered double beds, and I prefer a king size bed, but the room that they provided for us and the two dogs was a king size bed, comfortable, clean, provided everything we needed. Ground floor accommodation for the dogs so it was easy to take them out when they needed,dog friendly areas in the restaurant without having to eat in a bar area was nice, plenty of parking available, lovely leisure area, although the pool was cold - the boiler had broken down,but the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were great, and even though we were there for business meetings, I managed to squeeze in some pamper time, which was just lovely. And so much value for money for the whole trip.

Lovely decor and very comfortable.
Accessible room extremely comfortable.
Access to the rooms is horrendous. Up a very steep hill over very bumpy ground. I almost didn’t manage to push my partner up the hill.
You can walk through the hotel if able bodied but there are steps. May be one of those lifts or a gradual ramp would make it a lot more comfortable.

The service is excellent. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. We have stayed there before and the breakfast was excellent then.
I object to the soap being in these dispensers especially in the shower. Have any of the staff tried to use them in the shower? It is almost impossible to get your hand under the spout especially if, like me, you have balance problems.

A very comfortable and relaxed hotel. Clean, well appointed bedroom, friendly, helpful staff. pleasant, if uninspiring breakfasts, well prepared food served in the bar with chef's specials to round out the menu. Parts of the exterior of one wing in need of some cosmetic attention but the rest of the facade of this massive, rambling property not at all bad and the interiors good. Beautiful countryside surroundings as well as attractive golf course.

Amazing spa and at least our 10th weekend there, probably our favourite hotel with the best spa however, the hot tub was not hot despite us raising this with them and its always a highlight of our visit. Not sure if theyve a change of staff or cut back's or what but it did affect whats usually an amazing weekend stay.

Expedia was understanding and helped me to some extent! I’ll be continuing to use Expedia but will never book at this hotel again as I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. I contacted them through Expedia to request a simple change of date due to an emergency, but they refused both a date change and a refund. Communication was extremely poor, and there was no willingness to accommodate genuine circumstances or show any sympathy.

Hotels should demonstrate at least a basic level of flexibility and customer care, especially when guests are facing unforeseen emergencies. Unfortunately, this property showed neither. I would not recommend booking here if you expect fair treatment or understanding.

Disappointing bathroom

Booked the accessible room as we understood that was the only dog friendly room. The room itself was very nice. The bathroom really could do with a makeover. There was a very unpleasant damp smell, the assistance bath stool was rusty and radiator had a lot of black mould in the base panel.

Breakfast was really good. Sausages were super meaty and the pastries were freshly made. Really impressed. The fruit was good too. Coffee was a bit disappointing but the staff working were nice. The room was spacious and the TV was a good size for the room.
Bed was a decent size, and fairly comfy. A big wobbly and noise could be heard in the night which was a little bit off putting but for the price we paid (£70 Inc breakfast), it was definitely good value.

I would stay here again

The outside of the building leaves a lot to be desired when you park in the car park but don’t be fooled. The inside is absolutely fine. Staff were very good and the food was also very good and breakfast starts at 7 o’clock. Wi-Fi is good lots of free parking.

Never stayed in a Best western hotel before,so was really happy with it,stayed in a king suite as was my hubbys birthday present for 2 nights away,staff were courteous and helpful, lots of food choice and nice surroundings, waaclose to the racecourse where we were going ,so was perfect.

A real find - clean room with plenty of space and a nice view of the gardens. The food was a real highlight - if i lived locally i would make a point of going there for a meal regularly. Breakfasts were fine - standard hotel stuff. All staff very friendly and helpful.

My only drawbacks were the room I had (115) was right next to the Lift motor room so , as the bed backed into the wall, it was very noisy at times!
Also the shower only appeared to have like warm water even when turned on full heat

Overall we had a nice stay. The facilities you'd want are all there, it just could do with a bit of updating. The area around the pool etc is a bit tired and our room was comfortable but there was dust on some of the walls(?!) and it could do with redecorating. But the bed was comfy and it was nice and quiet (apart from the people in the adjoining room!). The food was brilliant, the coffee sadly not so much. Staff were friendly and helpful but there weren't many of them around, particularly at breakfast.

Great welcome and friendly introduction when we arrived. Room was very pleasant, clean and tidy. Breakfast was well organised with self-service for continental items, drinks, and/or full English. Attentive staff kept servings topped up and plates cleared from our table. The bar was relaxed for late night drinks, for us the Hotel was superb.

We were on first floor and could hear people talking in next room at 11.30pm the walls are that thin, until late and condenser unit outside woke us up around 6.00am. The fan in the bathroom is very loud until it switches itself off.

Two Night Business Trip

Two day business trip saw a two nights stay, good facilities, both hotel common area and in room wifi, bar & restaurant, tea & coffee making facilities. Large double appointed room, clean and excellent bathroom and shower, in room safe, fridge and large double opening windows onto the hotel gardens (no in room air con). Lovely setting with spa, pool and golf coarse on site, although a little out of the way for convenience shops. Very pleasant and comfortable would recommend.

Whilst the property and facilities were clean and lovely our stay was ruined by Music thumping through until 1am.

Had we been told when checking in that there was a wedding reception we would have asked for a quieter room.

Sadly when we raised this with reception in the morning they stated that it would have said on the website when booking, but as we booked through expedia we weren't given this information, so what was meant to be a relaxing weekend away ended up with little sleep because of the noise and I don't mean hearing it faintly, I mean really loudly and we were on the 3rd floor.

I had a problem with the water in the shower which didn’t have enough water pressure, I did advise the front desk.

Stayed in a suite which was huge. Double roll top bath and double shower.

Food in the bar, brasserie and room service was all the same price which was brilliant (£4.50 delivery fee for room service). Had the burger both nights and it was very good. Alcoholic drinks were pick at £8 for a large pinot and £6.50 a pint of moretti.

Breakfast was fantastic. Full English including farmers sausage, back bacon, fries toast, hash browns, tomato halves, button mushrooms, fried eggs (or any other way if requested) plus cereals, toast, fresh fruits, croissants and pastries.

Unfortunately the weather was far too hot to use the leisure area but it looked ok with a swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi.

Pleasant place, staff very friendly and helpful. Food wasn't brilliant, quite bland - especially for the high price. well stocked bar and pleasant setting with nice view over the fields. Would eat off site for evening meal if I stay here again, athough breakfast was fine. Small but adequate pool with sauna & jacuzzi free to use for hotel guests. Room was clean but very warm as it got the full sun and one of the windows didn't open. No air con. Good sized room and comfy bed. Easy to get parked and they have electric bays too. Quiet area.
