The check in staff were excellent! Very friendly and helpful.

Staff at the bar restaurant were not so nice. I made a simple mistake when placing my order at the bar and asked the member of staff to change it (5 seconds after I realised). The look of disgust on her face in response to my request was not very nice! We have eyes and can see you!! I wish I had made a note of her name.

Once the food came out we were very disappointed with the taste and quality. Bland!

The beds were very uncomfortable as we're the pillows. Worst nights sleep I've had in a very long time.

This hotel only gets two stars rather than one because of the lovely check-in staff.

I wouldn't book this hotel again.

On first look room looked very clean and spacious so to the bathroom but on closer inspection you could see it all looked a bit tired and bland. Super big bed though which was lovely! Breakfast was moved to a function room as refurb for regular location - maybe as a consequence everything cooked was unfortunately cold! No particular fault of hotel but could have done without fire alarm in early hours and lift breaking. Staff were however very pleasant and helpful.

The first room (161) allocated to us had a strong smell of damp, which made it extremely unpleasant. On closer inspection, we noticed mould growing on the blind, which is a health concern. Additionally, the bed sheets were dirty and stained, which is unacceptable for any guest accommodation. The bathroom was also in poor condition: the door was badly water damaged, and the skirting board behind the door showed similar damage.
After raising these issues, we were moved to a second room (164). However, this room also had several problems. The blind was heavily stained, and we had to clean the bath before it could be used because there was a visible dirty water line around the tub. The toilet roll holder was broken and lying on the floor. Furthermore, the bathroom floor had numerous gaps in the grout, which looked unsightly and gave an impression of neglect.
This experience was very disappointing and did not reflect the quality which you advertise, and we have come to expect from our previous stays.
I hope you will address these concerns so that future guests, including ourselves, have a better experience.

Check in was swift and the receptionist was very welcoming, however must admit we were very underwhelmed when we got to our room. It was spacious but very run down and clearly neglected. Broken lamps, broken blinds, dirty / scuffed walls. The cleanliness was pretty shocking too. Most of it we could have made our peace with however when we made the decision to have our paid breakfast delivered to our room the next morning and received mouldy milk and mouldy apples, and the staff shrugging it off like it wasnt a big deal / not even an apology, that topped it off for us. It’s a nice building with nice grounds and I don’t doubt it once had its day and used to be lovely, however it is now clearly very neglected and the staff don’t show much interest. It’s a real shame.

Our stay was generally pleasant, but there were a few issues that need addressing. First, the receptionist told my wife and me that we hadn’t requested adjoining/connecting rooms, despite this being clearly stated in our booking (as noted above). I understand that requests can’t always be guaranteed, but I find it frustrating when we’re given incorrect information, especially when it feels misleading. Of course, I accept this was a request, but I don’t like being lied to.

We were staying during a particularly difficult time, as my mum had just passed, and we were trying to make the best of things. Unfortunately, we were assigned rooms next to the lift and were later informed that maintenance work would start at 8 AM on the day of check-out. While this wasn’t ideal, we accepted it because those were the only interconnecting rooms available, and we have young children who are early risers.

On a more positive note, dinner at the hotel was a pleasant surprise, and we truly enjoyed the experience.

However, I do want to address an uncomfortable incident we had while using the pool. A private gym member reprimanded my 5-year-old daughter for splashing water (we were very conscious to avoid the \"lane swimmer\") , even though we were within the designated family swim times and had paid for pool access. To make matters worse, another guest approached us afterward and mentioned that the member was known to be a \"miserable complainer.\" The member later attempted to apologise after noti

For some reason I was given a disability adapted room, and although it was lovely and comfortable and large, spacious etc, the bathroom sink was too low for me and also too small, and the seat in the shower was in the way but the fact it was ground floor suited my needs and don’t really have a negative impact on my stay as we stated for evening meal and breakfast.
The evening meal was superb and the staff were excellent and very helpful.

Average hotel with a nice spa

Came for a relaxing weekend with my suster and parents. The hotel reception, bar and restaurant all looked great. The cleanliness of the bedroom was not great, cob webs, some lights not working and definitely needed an overall update. As i was with my mum who has had a knee replacement, all of the lifts being out of order was not helpful, they stayed broken during the entire visit.
The restaurant and bar staff were polite but we had to chase for our drinks, plates to eat a pizza, our bill and the breakfast food being replenished. That was the biggest let down.
In the spa area, there arent very many loungers and it can get very busy so you have to be quick to get a space.

Absolutely outstanding customer service.The restaurant is an absolute must! we decided dinner was the best we had ever enjoyed in the UK wonderful service and piping hot food served to our table, perfectly timed between the three courses and the flavours were divine.

Stayed for a wedding. Very rude female in the main bar kept telling us we should use another bar (where there was no outside seating on a very hot day). To encourage us to move she closed the sun shades so that we were in full sun. She was rude to several of the wedding guests. Red carpet for ceremony needed a good hoover. Poor lighting at night outside the venue was unsafe. Food however was excellent and bar staff in the evening were great. My junior suite did not have a tea/coffee maker as described and there was no hairdryer.

Check in was smooth with plenty of free parking and reception welcoming. We struggled to find our room due to the layout of the building and a sign that lead us in the wrong direction. We had a suite which was spacious and an amazing sized bathroom with shower however the finishing of the doors, tiling and other areas such as bare plumbing under the WC sink let it down for the overall wow factor it was supposed to have. Breakfast was great with a good selection of food and attentive staff. Overall, the hotel was clean, spacious, had great staff and we would visit again.

We had a 2 night stay made week for a funeral. After the first night the room was not cleaned or bed made nor was fresh towels provided. Only the shortbread biscuits were replaced. Had to go to reception and ask someone to come and do the bed. That took 2 hours for them to come. Room was a bit tired lots of scratches in furniture etc.

Spa wasn't very relaxing on Thursday evening as it had lots of noisy screaming feral kids, some who were in the hot tub unaccompanied and clearly were under the 8 min age. Surprised a spa would allow kids. If this isn't a drowning waiting to happen then I don't know what is! Not the relaxing spa break I had hoped for. This was a budget spa.

General hotel was pleasant and breakfast good fare with good service.
Though the general areas of the hotel were clean, the room in which I stayed wasn't particularly clean. Debris and items under the bed (including a flip flop!), toothpaste on the shower tiles, dust in the bedside cabinets.
Good parking.
Didn't use the spa or the restaurant so no comment on these.

Terrible service during the day in the bar, when we sat on the patio for a few hours. Only one bloke on his own who didn't cope well.

The hotel's facilities look great but the service lets it down.
Often there is no one on the reception or bar. You arrive and don't know where to do or what to do as noone is greeting you - this is your first impression so important it's a good one!

The bar staff are overwhelmed to the point the don't even acknowledge you when you are waiting. If some basic hospitality training was given it would vastly improve ratings and client experience.

Lovely hotel and spa. I guess in the summer this is more a wedding hotel (we stayed friday and saturday and there were weddings both days). This didn't effect us at all, other than the long queues at breakfast time - there was no noise and we weren't disturbed at all.
The room was very large, clean and modern.
A really nice touch as the option not to have your room serviced if you are staying more than 1 night, in exchange for a voucher for the bar - thats a win win.

When travelling over this way our only choice of accommodation has been a hotel in Market Bosworth which we’ve stayed at several times a year for several years, however, that was until our stay here….

Hotel is at end of quiet lane, looks good, we had a nice room, and staff were friendly. We were there for one night, not having dinner, so breakfast and WiFi both important, and both poor, hence only 3 stars. WiFi constantly cut out. Hot breakfast items on buffet, even though we arrived with 40mins to go, looked tired, and as though had been there a long time, including rubbery fried eggs (we did get a newer set after pointing out the inedible first one). Processed sliced bread for the toaster, no nuts, seeds or standard muesli (there was gluten free) mean that a healthy breakfast wasn’t really an option

Good parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. A very clean hotel, including immaculate bedroom, with a great size bed. I personally like that they continue to provide coffee facilities in the room.

Great Bar food was hot, tasty and a good helping. (I liked that I could eat proper food, early, in the bar area (not just sandwiches).

Breakfast was comprehensive, with fresh fruit, yoghurt and pastries, but also a full range of hot items. (including black pudding).

Good stay, but disappointing restaurant experience

We had a friendly welcome and the room was spacious and perfect for our needs. The spa was very busy, but that's not unexpected on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was disappointing, although the food was nice and good value, mine was not cooked through. I sent the food back and it was re-cooked but it impacted the enjoyment of the meal, and I was surprised that there was no offer of a free drink/desert/meal for the inconvenience this caused. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice.

Have stayed here about 5 or 6 times for work since August, generally always been OK. I think it does depend on what side of the building you get. I was in 111 and to say it was cold was an understatement. I did stop at reception first day to ask to sort and on return no note or anything, rang down and Josh who was very helpful said the air con was set to dehumidify? Heater in the room as clearly system is faulty as I couldn't change from room. Kettle burns when you poor as steam leaks, door to bathroom really damaged, cold tap on bath didn't turn. worst bit, (only kidding) got some extra tea bags from reception and when lady came in on Wednesday she took them away. No idea why, I clearly wanted them...

From the moment I arrived and throughout my week's stay, the staff were professional, friendly and efficient. My room was very clean and maintained. Breakfast was excellent and good quality. I should have read the reviews before booking. The hotel is nice enough but the spa is in desperate need of a refurbishment or at the very least, a bit of TLC. Iti is very run down with big patches of peeling paint and plaster even in the hot tub, dirty skirting and cobwebs.
The family room was clean and spacious and overall I’m happy with that.
If you have booked hotel only you can pay £10 per person per day to use the spa but beware that you can only use the facilities from check-in to check-out as they claim you’re not insured outside of these times so won’t allow you in. Very disappointing!

Lovely clean welcoming hotel. It was a sleepover treat for my 6 year old’s birthday. He absolutely loved it. 😊 we used the pool and had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and couldn’t fault anything. Will definitely stay again.

1st time of staying here with our friends , got to our room & it was evident that someone had been lying on our bed and drinking a cup tea/coffee as the dirty mug was left on the side..went and looked in the bathroom there were leaves growing through the cracks above the window, and the shower doesnt have any power. Went down to reception they offered us another room which was liteally the other side of the building to our friends. We declined that room and asked for the room to be cleaned and the bedding changed. The bedding was changed almost immediately and the mug was taken away. To use a robe you have to pay £5pp i think a robe should be available free of charge for the price paid. Bar staff were extremely helpful and polite especially Phoenix we asked for pub recommendations and she gave us a few suggestions, one being the Black Horse, Upper Bond Street. Great Pub, nothing was too much trouble she even reserved a table for 4 of us for the next evening because they have live bands performing on a Saturday. We ate out in a pub called The Checkers the food amazing and staff were friendly. Overall it was a fab weekend with friend's

Very run down was quite surprised! The pool changing rooms were dirty! Didn’t expect there to b so many children there either! What was meant to b romantic get away was not! And the pool is freezing along with the screaming teens

Good for a party

Welcome at reception not the best, nothing about the stay explained ie. breakfast, dining facilities times or location etc. Although help with luggage was offered as the lift was out of action for the duration of the stay. So maybe a long term issue/breakdown?

Noise(music) from function bars until midnight could be heard above room TV . There was also a continuous low level humming, either from air con or I suspect water pumping for the spa/pool facility.

Buffet breakfast selection good, although cooked items only tepid especially when served onto cold plates.

Public areas seem well maintained and decorated in comparison to spacious room which felt in need of a refurb.
Bathroom poor shower arrangement had caused water damage to door which was obviously a long term problem and needs a rethink!

Didn't use the spa facilities so cannot comment.

Breakfast staff pleasant and helpful, reception quite often seemed unattended.

I would only return to attend a function, but not a quiet restful few days stay.
