Came for two nights and the room we were first in was clean but very tired and the TV didn’t work but we arrived late so were grateful for somewhere to rest our heads. We were moved to a different room for our next night and the A/C was broken but we had a working TV. I’m not sure we would stay here again but couldn’t fault the staff. The decor and amenities just need a bit of a sort out.

There was a party in one of the function rooms and one of these people decided it would be funny to run down the corridor banging on room doors waking guests up. We were then woken up again at 6 am by screaming and shouting. Another party guest from the previous night had taken a substance and layed on the grass in the garden outside our bedroom window shouting he had things crawling all over him. Four paramedics and two hotel guest had to help each other to deal with the situation. The hotel wet room for disabled guests had a tiled floor which when wet was slippery and should of been non slip.The doors handles were in poor condition There was rubbish behind the cabinet in the room from the previous occupant .The morning breakfast was ok. Plenty of choice.

According to the receptionist, I could have diner until 9pm at the restaurant. When I arrived at 8:30, it turned out there was no chef and the restaurant was closed. Had to take an Uber into town. Most inconvenient.

The location was excellent, with convenient parking available on-site. Unfortunately, the room let the experience down. I was placed on the ground floor, with the corridor leading to the lift for the upper floors. As a result, I was disturbed by the sound of guests coming and going throughout the night until around 3:30am - which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The bed itself was clean, but not very comfortable.

I stayed for work and the bed was comfy and I liked the toiletries and shower. Breakfast was nice. Restaurant in the evening wasn’t great, not a lot of choice and small portions for the price. The Novotel was lovely. I had an initial issue with my first room and Shakira on the desk very quickly moved me into another room. A better view on the back too.
Be aware, if you are over 6ft3 you will struggle with the showers, as my head was just underneath it.

Bathroom was dirty. Mould everywhere. Bedroom ceiling was damaged - quarter of plaster fallen off and was just painted. Dirty walls, TV not working. Reported to manager and staff was just sorry. That's it. Fortunately we stayed for one night only. Room 142.

Receptionists brilliant, the room was ok bed very comfortable .only bad thing was the breakfast dont waste your money food cold service terrible a half harted effort i watched as a lady asked if there was any more cornflakes as the container was empty the girl waitress just ignored her, she repeatedly passed the container never once filling it up.

The noise from the corridor is terrible. The doors are so thin and have gaps underneath so all noise is heard. Guests who have no respect came in at 12.30 shouting and slamming doors. This went on for over an hour. To be honest anyone coming it at my time will be heard.

A warm and comfortable bed on a cold night. Room was tired and needed a repaint or at least a deep clean. There were tea stains on the wall, as well as general marks from years of wear and tear. The TV and channels were from around 1999. Needs an upgrade in general. But the most important thing is that i had a warm and comfortable bed.

The location is quite convenient for the football and the motorway. The breakfast was nice, the pancake maker was great! The bread and sausages also really nice, no other egg choice than scrambled. The breakfast person was not particularly suited to customer service. The bar staff however were lovely and friendly. We ordered food at 9pm and took it to our room but they coyld drliver for £5.
The room was clean and spacious, with a big bed and a single. I'd paid more for the extra bed for my son but the bed wasn't made up, the receptionist had to do it as there was no housekeeping or maintenance at 3pm on Saturday.
