This is a lovely hotel. We’ve stayed a few times now. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean -and comfortable. Only slight issue is that the windows don’t open, hence the room can get a bit stuffy. Otherwise, we will stay here again when visiting the city. Thoroughly recommended.

Ordered poached eggs and took a long time to arrive. Only giving 4 stars as felt the overall experience whilst very good, it was a little lacking for the price paid.

Cons: I didn’t like that my queen bed was just two twin beds pushed together, since one was more worn out than the other. Lack of wash cloth was odd, but used my hand instead. Fire alarm (false alarm) went off 3-4 times in 15 minutes. Area felt unsafe at night fall.

The only reason why I didn't give five stars is that we booked a room with a king size bed, and confirmed at check-in that it had one, however the room we were given had a queen size bed.

This is the third time I have stayed at the telegraph. We absolutely love this hotel. The rooms are amazing and it's in a geed central location. However this time it was a little disappointing because some standards have slipped. We hope it improves soon because we'd love to come back again.

We have stayed in this hotel for the last 5 years, as a gift to each other for our wedding anniversary. We always stay in the Lord Iliffe Suite which is wonderful. There is always a plate of cakes with a hand written card wishing us a Happy Anniversary, waiting for us, on arrival.

Generally everything is fine but there are a couple of small niggles with the hotel such as uncomfortable pillows - rather on the lumpy hard side, bottles of water in fridge - lovely and thoughtful but almost impossible to open. Hotel has references to it's past life which is quite cool. We stayed in the duplex room, which while the concept is nice, it's rather small and maybe would've preferred a normal room. A lot of dark wood about as well so room felt quite dark. But otherwise was modern and clean. Breakfast was decent too. As this is a city centre location parking is difficult right outside the hotel to unload bags but there are car parks within 5 min walk.

Overall the stay was average. As mentioned my others, “Smart TV” has network connections disabled, it’s bolted on so no access to any of the HDMI ports. You’d think a 4 star hotel would provide toiletries such as toothpaste/moisturiser, no bathrobes too. The rooftop is nothing amazing, a lot of buildings nearby preventing good sunset views. Breakfast was good but seating wise it is within a small vicinity so be prepared to hear other peoples conversation at 8am in the morning. Bed was comfortable and room was clean however so 3/5.

Was over for a 2 night stay for a concert. Boutiqe hotel with a lot of nods to the history of the building. Very clean, spacious rooms with everything you need, safe, iron, ironing board and even a radio. Staff were great. Bonus for the hotel is its location and its proximity to the theatre, city centre, museum, bus station and cathedral. Hotel also has GF options for breakfast. Check out the Golden Cross bar in the city centre for a totally GF experience.

I was in Coventry on business, and the Telegraph made for an excellent stay. It was clean, functional and - given the location - very quiet. The working surface, with a couple of plugs and good lighting, was very good for work. I particularly appreciated the bedside radio, while I found the nearby Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants good places for a reasonably-priced dinner.
