Even hotel guests need to pay 120rmb for parking through night. Ok, fine, not too expensive but I think they could do better. Small hotel, only one side of the hotel rooms can see Shanghai Tower. Deposit was 3000rmb. I won’t stay here next time.

The whole team from front desk, bellman, Houskeeping to restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The only imperfection was allowing little kids to be in the hot tub after 9pm were disruptive to the quiet enjoyment of other paying guests.

Really great property and got a great price from Expedia. Beautiful rooms - great gym and restaurants... The service was great - the Bell Staff were helpful and saved us from getting ripped off by the Shanghai Cab Drivers - when you get dropped off at the Hotel, run the fare by the Bell Person and they will get the right price from the Driver if they are trying to rip you off - EVERY cab driver in Shanghai tried to rip us off - make sure they drive you right to the entrance (tell them you have to use the ATM) as they try to drop you off on the street to be able to get away with it...

This was the last stop on a China trip that included two Shangri-La's, 2 Hyatts and a Renaissance. The Four Seasons was a paradigm shift. From v.g.- excellent to magnificent. Wow, this hotel is exceptional. We decided it would have been on our bucket list if we'd only known. The key is the business lounge, where the service is terrific, and the food even better. Oh, and the pool. I wouldn't usually mention a pool, but this has an amazing view of the mad lights of Pudong. Great in the daytime but exceptional in the dark. To get there direct from Pudong airport, take Line 2 Dongchang Road exit. Do go, but don't bother with their in-house Italian restaurant. Everything else is perfect.

This is an excellent hotel with fantastic staff.
Area much quieter than the crazy of the Bund but nearby metro was so easy & efficient.
Our upgraded corner suite was on 36 th floor was huge with amazing views. Really nice bathroom & amenities.
Great breakfast and club room on 35th floor was well worth it. Ample quality food,service,and views.
The pool & large hot spa were perfect after a long day touring.
The only criticism was the few parents in the spa teaching their children to swim with kickboards- not appropriate.

Awesome hotel! They upgraded us to the club room with a view of the Shanghai tower and they even decor the room for our anniversary celebration. Just walk outside to reach the 3 towers and the IFC mall. Walk further you will get to the Bund. The food was great and the service specially at the club lounge. The room is so clean and complete. Plus the pool with the view is really a great way to realx.

This hotel is the bees knees, it simply oozes sophistication throughout. I had booked a junior club suite overlooking the Oriental Pearl and it was an absolute dream. The club lounge on floor 35 gave the same perfect views, as too did the pool on floor 41. The staff are superb here, nothing is any effort at all to them. I highly recommend this hotel and will return I'm sure.

Fabulous stay at Four Seasons. Modern, spacious room with spectacular views. Very convenient location to Metro and two stops to Bund/Nanjing Road area. Enjoyed the relaxing executive lounge after a long day of touring and breakfast in the morning. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only issue was that food offerings in executive lounge not replenished so get there when it opens in the evening.

The room was well decorated but found storage for travel luggage (large & carry-ons as coming from a cruise) inadequate. - tea selection was excellent. Would have preferred a regular coffee machine as do not like expresso. Did not sign up for breakfast buffet - bit pricey - .bathroom was well planned and had mirror with TV. Had bit of problem with shower - one with thermostatic control would have been easier.. Toiletries were excellent.

One exception they might address - the thermostat didn't seem to work well - the room was very warm and could not make adjustment. Its winter so its ok - would not be acceptable for summer.

All in all, enjoyed the visit and recommended it.

Fantastic hotel that defined our experiences in Shanghai. Extremely professional staff and friendly to kids. Sandra in the executive suite is a sweetheart and helped us make restaurant reservations knowing our kids are at sleep. Great facility, impeccable service. We fell in love with the pool which gave us unrivaled view in Pudong. The breakfast choice is unlimited and food is great. Highly recommended, great great hotel. We are going Four Season next time for sure!

Four season hotel shanghai...big name hotel chain but not worth paying it at RMB$1800 to $2000 per night...looks like a 4 star hotel rating only! Small lobby...really not worth paying so.much to stay here...taxi also hard to get...better stay at St Regis Hotel Shanghai or Westin Hotel Shanghai for RMB$1800 to $2000 per night...cheaper !

Living the dream in Shanghai!

Our third stay here and the service was impeccable. It was greatly enhanced by Sheldon Bao the Assistant Executive Club and Business Centre Manager plus his exceptionally attentive staff. Sheldon went out of his way to assist my son and I during our stay in fact going the extra distance in all his duties. The food and service in the club lounge was superb. The location of the hotel was excellent whilst we carried out our many business meetings. The staff overall were friendly and courteous.

+I stayed in a club room. It was clean and comfortable. The servise at the Club Lounge was excellent. Hotel location is very good close to IFC Shoping Mall (10 minutes walk).
-Taxis are not available at Hotel entrance you have to request one from the concierge.

We enjoyed a great mid week here. The location was excellent and the view from the club lounge fantastic. The staff in the club lounge was outstanding, after the first day they remembered our names and even the kind of tea we drank! The reception staff was also very helpful. Breakfast buffet selection was good, but the snacks and drinks in the club lounge were the best! Definitely worth paying the extra money to have access to the lounge.

Great hotel, lovely staff and we were delighted with a free upgrade to a room that is literally bigger than our Hong Kong apartment. Amazing pool with THAT view (check out the overview pictures of this hotel)

Would highly recommend going on a bank holiday weekend like we did. No pollution which I am told is quite rare in Shanghai.

Room to improve

Great location: 2 minutes to subway that take you to airport or anywhere.
But the rest is 3.5-4 star standard:
1. My room is executive business room but with very old toilet. It has this very awkward push in button on the left side of the toilet to flash, but is so old and maybe rusty inside so is so hard to push with my left hand to push in to flush. By the last day I have to open the water tank to fix the leak my self. It is so annoying to deal with this at Four Seasons.

2. Breakfast Buffy is really boring and very limited choice. All the western food ( very limited choice) are exposed and dry. Bread and toast are left out dry.
For the entire four days of my stay, I notice the old double sided toaster has one side broken and the other side is not working well to toast both sides of a bread. When I told a young waiter, he sounded so indifferent:\"then you can use the other side of the toaster if you want.\"

3. The hotel is not busy, more than half of the breakfast seats were empty during my stay, but service was low and no one remembers me and my favored table unlike other luxury hotels I stayed. When I ask for my favored table, I was told that most people got seated this side and if I go to the asking table, I might not get serviced as expected.

4. The hotel's 41th floor indoor Zen pool is amazing. It has a breathing taking view of the Pearl and other sky scrapers, especially the lighting at night. But again the service is slow. Other then the pool, I am so unimpressed.

We had a great room with a view of the Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower. Amenities were excellent, including pool with excellent view and fitness center. We spent a little extra for the executive lounge access, which was worth it, since we could grab a bite to eat before embarking on our daily activities. Spa was excellent! I had one of the best massages I've ever had. Staff at the spa were great, but staff at reception and executive lounge seemed a little cold. Staff at the lounge also seemed a little awkward and did not have our room down for access when we first arrived. Overall, this was a great hotel at a great location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Our experience was excellent alltogether, one point to complain is the poor windows insulation, the noise from the busy street is quite loud expecially during the night. I guess this point cannot be improve, though. The Club floor also very well managed!

You will find and enjoy the usual 4Season comfort and quality as anywhere else in the world.
Unfortunatly no open air terrace with cigar lounge.
Make sure to book the 'Pearl View' suites on Club level. The view is 100% stunning! You are 100's of feet from the 3 impressive and lit up at night highest towers of Pudong's business heart of Shanghai.
The club and business center on 35th fl also offers the 1.000.000$ view!
And accomodates enough and comfortable seating for small privat meetings.
The buffet at happy hour and breakfast at the club are in my personal opinion far below standard and a disappointment, lot's of unhealthy junkfood, no tasty fresh alternatives for healthy eaters.
