As always, wonderful stay at the Park Hyatt. Beautifully designed hotel with a modern, luxe sensibility. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Dining is top notch with a very good Cantonese restaurant and a morning buffet that is inventive. Workout room and pool are great. Love the artwork featured throughout.

During a one-night stay at this hotel while in transit from Japan, we were treated to breathtaking nighttime views, with our room overlooking the Shanghai Pearl Tower, adding an extra layer of specialness to our stay. Did not meet my Park Hyatt expectations

I was a bit underwhelmed when I entered my room. I had booked King with river view. The interior finishes definitely need some upgrades, the bath tub had visible rust, as well as other bathroom finishings. The furniture also needs some updating.

But the selling point of the Park Hyatt is the view, that did not disappoint. Amazing view to wake up to.

My definition of luxury, this hotel strikes the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity. Rooms are tastefully decorated with all the amenities your'd come to expect from a 5 star hotel including automatic black out curtains and one touch lighting control. The views from this hotel is one of the best in town. Only downside is that it's a bit of a maze for first time visitors.

We came here after we stayed at Four Seasons Pudong a month before. I liked the hospitality shown at Four Seasons Pudong so I thought Park Hyatt will offer the same services. Check in was quick and easy but I have a few opinions about the actual rooms. Things seem to be dated and it seemed that Park Hyatt wanted to achieve a minimalist design but details had shown me that people have not been taking care of the amenities. Design language is all over the place and elements didn’t fit in with each other. Also the staff did not seem to be as attentive as other hotels’ staff members.

Overall, I would say the view is fantastic, amenities are as you expect but I think the staff need to be more caring.

The hotel is located on the 79th to the 93rd floors of the world financial center and is currently the second highest hotel in the world. We stayed in a 1 King Bed (Bund View) room and the views were memerising. Our room wasn't ready when we tried to check so the concierge gave us a complimentary breakfast for the duration of our stay which was really nice of them for no fault of theirs. The staff were welcoming and we were always greeted with a smile and a hello. The room was very high tech and really interesting, particularly the toilet. Would recommend to anyone.

Great place to stay for great viewing

I was born and raised in Shanghai and moved to Miami. This time I came back with my husband and was wondering where should I take him in Shanghai since he has been to most the tourist places. I thought about the idea of interesting hotels in Shanghai. Since right now Park Hyatt is still the tallest one in Shanghai. We decided to stay there for a night. It was an amazing experience. The front desk is very helpful and friendly. Room was prepared within 30 mins. View was great. My husband love the shower room.

This hotel is gorgeous. I was lucky enough to stay when the sky was clear so the views were great (thanks G20). The bathtub was the main selling point for me. It was very relaxing. Turndown service!! They arrived seconds after we mentioned wanting ice &water. It added a special touch. The main reason I can't give 5 stars is the concierge service. The front desk staff were friendly and spoke English, but the concierge desk was not as skilled. I asked them what my options were to get to the airport. I got a one word reply: \"taxi\". There was no mention of the metro or even instruction. I know it's small, but it was weird. I got the feeling I was inconveniencing them by asking or that they couldn't/didn't want to hold a conversation in English...much unlike the Front Desk staff. Also, after I checked out I left my luggage with bell service for a bit. The next day during my travels, I realized my neck pillows were missing. When I called the hotel to see if they'd been found, I was transferred twice and put on hold for a while. Finally, they took my phone number and promised to call back. To this day, I haven't gotten a return call or email. I've considered the $40 pillows a loss. The hotel is gorgeous...so you will get what you pay for, but communicating in English will be a big challenge (I wouldn't think twice about a language barrier in Shanghai hotel if this hotel didn't highlight that they're bilingual). Oh, and if you lose something...don't expect to get it back.

The front desk staff and the check-in experience was incredibly underwhelming. The front desk staff needs a little more customer service training. I believe that as both a non-Asian and non-European; I was being microaggressed by the front desk staff. There is NO lunch buffet at the Park Hyatt Shanghai and there lunch menu is incredibly overpriced and so not worth it. If you want to experience a lunch buffet, go across the street to the Grand Hyatt. The electronics in the room where waaaay too complicated to use. There should be some type of instruction guide on how to turn on and off the lights and blinds in your room. It should not be that complicated to turn on and off the lights and to open and close the blinds in one's room. I had lunch in the hotel restaurant at 6:30 AM in the morning (January 2016) and it was completely freezing like an ice box. Since the restaurant is 3 stories high, it takes a while for the heat to warm up the place. Well, someone should be smart enough to turn on the heat an hour or 90m before opening so that the restaurant is warm enough to receive guests. I have stayed at the Grand Hyatt at the Jian Mao Tower across the street, and I had a much better experience than the Park Hyatt. I was attracted to the Park Hyatt because of the building that it is in.

Note to Park Hyatt Management: There is much, much room for improvement at this property. You all are not there yet, by a long stretch.

Best view ever!!

Awesome hotel. Location with the views over Shanghai is amazing. Hotel design is fantastic down to the smallest details. Cudos to the architect/designer Tony Chi who's attention to details show in all aspects from lobby, restaurants to the spa and the truly amazing sauna on the 84th floor with a view over Pudong.

To the small downside the hotel is closing on 7 years and the wear and tear are beginning to show a little. The big windows let in a lot of sunlight in to the rooms which are starting to fade the white details in the rooms. But still - design and quality of the rooms are fantastic.

A little disappointing. But what a view.

A beautiful hotel, with faults. To access the hotel from street level is confusing, if arrival by foot. Check in was okay, but I just felt undervalued as a guest. Everything about th hotel is clinical, and somehow impersonal, which is a pity. The building, the rooms, the facilities are all top notch, but I won't return. I stayed at the Shangri-la Jing'an, Waldorf Astoria, Fairmont Peace Hotel during this trip, and they all won my heart over. There's no denying that the views though, when clear are spectacular.

Favorite hotel in Pudong

The hotel staff and service is as excellent as I remembered it from six years ago. Extended my stay an extra day because the stay was so enjoyable. The rabbit loin with truffle sauce on the 87th floor restaurant was awesome. Cheaper options are in the basement. Pool was as great as usual as you could still see the skyline through the clouds and rain as you swam.

Best in Shanghai and most other places

So you get a good sized modern stylish room with a view to kill in one of the highest hotels on the planet. The mori corporation built the tower and japanese design influence can be seen in the clean lines use of natural materials, even down to the japanese toilets which i love!

We had a staycation. We could actually see both our old and new houses which are in opposite parts of the city from our hotel room. Lounge was nice and the bar on the 91 floor is a must.

The pool on the 85th floor is nice and wasnt too busy and the Gym offerred enough equipment for a short stay. Jogging was fun with views of fireworks far below as it was golden week celebrations.

The only caveat is that i know if you are not lucky you can be stuck in cloud if the weather is poor. This is not a hotel for those who do not like heights

Form over Function Personified

From the lobby to the rooms everything about this place screams with minimalist. While I initially like the style, I found it made everything hard to use, from the lights to faucets. Nothing seemed intuitive. Also the bare walls on the rooms also seem like a huge waste of space. In the end, despite the view which later become obscured by clouds, staying in the room felt very empty. My advice is to get a room on the Bund if you want to enjoy the views of Shanghai, Les Suite Orient having the best views of both the Bund and Pudong. The quality of service is average, inferior in comparison with the likes of the Peninsula or Les Suite Orient. The hotel amenities are pretty standard for any five star hotel, but the lack of fruits speaks volumes on how this feels more like a four and half star hotel. The pool is interesting since its the highest pool I know of in the world, but water splashes out too easily due to the minimalist styling. Also the location while in CBD of Pudong isn't very convenient as it sits between two MTR stations, each of which takes 15 minutes to arrive to. Overall I rate this place three stars, not much of an upgrade from the Grand Hyatt next door which still feels more impressive despite its age due to the stunning atrium.

I love this hotel. The only problem is the difficulty of getting a taxi, and the staff at the entrance were not helpful at all. They are generally like a robot, open and close the taxi / car door. No welcome message. Not helping to pull up a taxi. Other than that, the staff in the lobby is much helpful and friendly.

Located in Shanghai's second tallest building you are sure to have a great view from your room. The staff are very polite and helpful and will go out of their way to meet your needs. The rooms are finished to a high specification and with some great gadgets in them! Overall a great place to stay whilst in Shanghai.

All that glitters is not gold

Despite it's world beating design and unique features, this hotel lacks soul. Well disciplined but not customer friendly staff make you feel that the party is strong and it's head quarters are at Park Hyatt. Don't try to take any photos as this seems to be banned in the hotel. Make sure that you are not near any children's parties in the main restaurant at night.
Because it has the highest hotel restaurant and bar in the world then hotel guests are competing with whoever decides on having dinner or tea and crumpets for the best seats in the house.
Premium prices are paid for average food and drinks.
At best great to stay for one night to get the experience but don't waste your money on a long stay. Even better get a cheaper hotel locally and do what the locals do and use the hotel resources.

This is the worst Park Hyatt I have ever visited. The building was poorly designed. Due to its height the outer wall produces a loud bang every few minutes, making it impossible to sleep. Originally we booked two nights. We had to run away after the first night. They promised a refund which never happened. I think this is also the cheapest Park Hyatt I had stayed at. No wonder its price is so low because customers won’t likely come back. Avoid at all costs.

眺めのレベルが違います。

上海のランドマーク的な建物の上部にあるので展望は格別でした。運良く雲海の曇りガラスになることもなく景色を満喫出来ました。設備やデザインは若干古く感じますが、掃除が行き届いていて快適に過ごせました。朝食のビュッフェも種類が多かったです。

Globalement on a été plutôt déçu. Le lobby est minuscule et en période de pointe, on s'y sens serré. Ensuite, la vue dans la chambre sur le bund : on n'est pas assez haut par rapport au Jin Mao qui du coup cache une partie de la vue sur la droite et on a le Shanghai Tower sur la gauche. Au final ce serait peut être mieux d'être dans un hôtel moins haut mais avec une vue plus dégagée. La piscine est beaucoup moins chouette qu'en photo et l'eau est trop froide pour les enfants bas âge. Il n'y a pas d'air de jeux pour les enfants.

Le petit déjeuner est de qualité et le diner au restaurant a été supérieure à nos attentes. La vue est beaucoup plus intéressante depuis le restaurant d'ailleurs car on était 10 étage au dessus de la chambre.

La chambre est bien équipée mais on n'a pas aimé les oreiller, ce qui fait qu'on a passé une nuit plutôt moyenne.

10年以上前にオープンしたホテルなので、設備等は少し古い印象はあるが、この価格で80階もの高層階に泊まれる、かつ、パークハイアットブランドというのは唯一無二だと思います。清掃面は、綺麗ではあるが少し埃が残っていたりもするのは日本のパークハイアットと比べて劣るところなのではないでしょうか。とは言え、オススメします。

Spektakulært opphold i høyden, men ganske dyrt. CNY 2000 pr.natt (bodde 2 netter) inkl.frokost.
Litt krunglete å finne frem, men ble bedre etter hvert.
Bra frokost med godt utvalg av både asiatisk og vestlig mat.

高層階にあり天気が良ければ眺めは最高。窓も大きく外滩や陆家嘴が一望できる。ただ、天気が悪いとただの曇りガラスとなり、何も見えない。ここはホテルのせいではないので、自分の運次第。
朝食は種類が多く、味もおいしい。プールは週末でも空いていて、大人な雰囲気ながら子供の浮き輪もOK、子供とともに楽しめた。
また是非訪れたいホテルです。（天気のいい時に）

전체적으로 대만족입니다.

상해여행은 처음이었는데 전체적으로 굉장히 만족하였습니다. 호텔 인테리어 및 분위기는 굉장히 고급스럽고 깔끔했습니다. 조명도 너무 어둡지고 밝지도 않게 딱 적당했던 것 같네요. 또한 호텔이 건물 높은 층에 위치하고 있어서 뷰도 굉장히 좋았습니다. 여행기간 동안 대부분이 비가 와서 야경을 많이 즐기지 못한 부분은 조금 아쉬움이 남네요.푸동에 위치해서 관광지에서는 좀 떨어져있는 느낌은 있었으나 지하철로 이동하기에 무리는 없었습니다. 다만 지하철역까지 걸어서 한 10분정도 걸렸네요. 또한 택시 기사들이 지도로 위치를 보여줘도 잘 안가려고 하더군요. 몇번 거절도 당하고 어떤 기사들은 말도 안되는 금액을 부르기도 했습니다 (100위안 정도). 보통 신천지나 다른 시내에서 약 30위안 정도니까 혹시 택시 타실일이 있으면 참고하시면 좋을 것 같습니다. 또한 호텔에서 멀지 않은곳에 ifc몰이 위치하고 있어서 간단한 쇼핑이나 식사하기에는 좋았습니다. 또 저녁에 방에 돌아오면서 ifc몰에 방문하여 간단한 간식이나 야식거리를 살 수도 있어서 사실 교통이 조금 불편한 것 빼면 위치도 썩 나쁘지 않은 것 같네요. 위치를 제외한 부분은 모두 훌륭했습니다. 청결도 및 기타 서비스도 흠잡을 부분이 없었고, 조식 역시 다양하지는 않았으나 맛은 좋았습니다. 방은 충분히 넓고 쾌적했으며, 화장실 역시 깨끗하고 좋았습니다. 변기 뚜겅이 가까이 가면 자동으로 열려서 놀랐습니다 ㅎㅎ. 샤워실은 물을 트는 구조가 조금 특이해서 애를 먹었었네요. 모든 방이 그런지는 몰라도 샤워기를 틀면 뜨거운 물과 차가운 물이 모두 나오고, 차가운 물을 아래로 내리면 샤워기에서는 뜨거운물, 수도꼭지에서는 차가운 물이 나오더군요. 그래서 뜨거운 물로 샤워하며 발은 차가운 물을 맞게 되어서 이상했습니다. 조식은 특히 오믈렛이 맛있었던 기억이 있네요. 조식 딤섬 또한 웬만한 레스토랑에서 먹는 것보다 맛있었습니다. 또한 방에 기본으로 주어지는 커피도 맛있더군요. 네스프래소 캡슐커피인데 더 갖다달라고 요청하니 6개씩이나 가져다주었습니다 ㅎㅎ. 직원들 관련해서는 아무래도 중국 현지인들이 영어는 많이 쓰지를 않기에 호텔 직원들도 유창한 영어를 사용하지는 않았으나, 웬만한 의사소통에는 무리가 없었습니다. 다만 조금 까다로운 요구는 직원들이 영어로 알아듣지는 못하는 것 같더군요. 다만 아침에 엘레베이터에서 내릴 때 직원 분들이 너무 대기하고 계시다가 인사하셔서 조금 부담스럽기는 했네요 ㅎㅎ. 좋아하시는 분들은 좋아하실수도 있겠구요. 아, 또 엘레베이터 시스템이 특이했습니다. 건물에서 로비까지 엘레베이터를 타고가서, 다시 로비에서 객실까지 가는 엘레베이터를 타는 시스템이더라구요. 아마 건물 구조상 그렇게 될 수 밖에 없었던 것 같은데 그 점은 조금 불편하고 아쉬웠습니다. 수영장 및 부대시설은 사용을 못해봤네요. 2월 28일부터 3월 3일까지 이용했는데, 수영장은 메인터넌스 기간이라 건너편 호텔 수영장을 이용해달라고 하더군요. 로비에서 티를 즐기시는 분들도 계시고, 밤에는 라운지에서 술을 즐기시는 분들도 계셨습니다
