If you have a car be aware this Best Western is near the City of London and is quite a congested area parking is often hard to find. as for the hotel I love the pre wwII building,decorstions and overall feeling , a step bck into a different time is what they are selling here. No A/C you are given (in your room) two small fans that usually do the job and in the spring becautious when opening windows as most or all have no screens to keep bees and wasps outside,a possible allegatic situation to someone that is highly reactive to bee stings.

Very close to this was swiss cottage tube station which was easy to navigate. Room was comfortable with 2 Firm beds and 2 soft beds. No flat sheet just a duvet which made temperature regulation difficult on some nights.

Room and bathroom were spotless, few tiny things like couple of cracked tiles in the bathroom, very creaky floorboards 😂 but nothing major. Lovely size room and plenty of space in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and standard size.

Upon checkout found 2 bedbugs within seconds of each other. One was very large crawling up the wall behind the headboard into a picture frame and another one in my sheets. I’m positive there were more & likely have travellers with me now… immediately reported to front desk. TBD on resolution :(

We selected this hotel based on its proximity to the tube and the main attractions in London. We did look at the pictures of the hotel but clearly missed that it did not have A/C in the hotel. It was very warm in London while we were there and it was almost unbearable in our room. Room furniture was in good condition. Room was very clean and had a tea set up. Easy check in and check out. Staff was great. We did not eat there because we left early every morning for sightseeing. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance.

Just had a fantastic stay at the Best Western Swiss Cottage hotel.
Our room was fabulous, clean, high ceilings, loads of room to move about and everything you need as if you were at home.
The staff were great, a big shout out to Erika, Beatria and Tashala on reception for being so friendly and making our stay a memorable one.
Staff in the breakfast room were also amazing and worked so hard.
Breakfast itself was the best hotel breakfast we have had.
We stayed 2 nights for concerts at the Roundhouse, so easy to get to the venue and around London. The underground a few steps from the hotel and bus stops are around the corner.
We felt very safe here and everything was on the doorstep.
We can't praise this hotel and the staff enough, we will be back.

The hotel itself was 3 of the row houses converted. They left the old English charm inside. The location of the hotel is just a 4 minute walk to the underground-which made getting around easy.

The breakfast was fantastic and served the classic English food plus cereals, breads, pastries, cold cuts.

We would stay here again.

Best Western Swiss Cottage Hotel was Safe, clean, had friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay! The beds are nice, best for people who enjoy their bed on the firm side. Our room was on the very top floor. We were surprised to find that the lift/elevator doesn't reach that floor even though the website says it reaches all floors. My mom is elderly so this was a factor in the original booking we were not pleased to discover. We booked via Expedia.

Underneath the reception desk and next to breakfast room, could hear staff moving around above my head, guests coming and going etc. Decor v dated, was a little worried it was the set of a blue movie. Bathroom v awkward shape and small - if you're a little overweight you wouldn't be able to physically get to the toilet. Close to Swiss Cottage tube station though!

The location was one block from a metro stop. The neighborhood was quaint and safe. The hotel was an old residence or brownstone like apartment building. The stairs were narrow and the doors to the room was wooden and not sturdy. I had to place a chair under the door knob for extra protection. Lovely stay at Swiss Cottage.
Here’s the pros and cons:

Pros:
- Location to Swiss Cottage Underground Station, Jubilee Line. Literally a few minutes walk.
- Area: Within a lovely residential area. Feels safe. Bike rental station just across the street too.
- Hotel style: Classical, beautiful lounge and lobby.
- Staff: Superb experience with the staff, all were friendly and welcoming. Made our stay feel more special.
- Breakfast: English Breakfast cooked to order. Continental available too.
- Room: Sash windows, large bed, spacious bathroom.


Cons:
- It’s old: don’t expect crisp and clinical. Expect creaky floorboards, narrow corridors upstairs and plenty of ‘character’.
- Basic Bedroom: Your room will be basic. It’ll have everything you expect from a hotel but it won’t be flashy.
- Breakfast: Again, it’s your basic English Breakfast and cold selection. Don’t expect Michelin stars.
- Parking: There’s no parking connected with the hotel, so you’ll have to find your own solutions.

On returning from the underground, there was a couple of groups of unsavoury people who stared at me and my partner making us feel uncomfortable. There was also a lot of noise coming from a property who were, probably, having a party.

I had a wonderful time staying in this hotel which is in an excellent location. At first I had issue with the first room I checked in but the staff (Beatriz) was nit only professional and polite but she went out of her way to make sure I was shifted to another room with the facilities I required. The hotel and room is very cosy.
The location is excellent because the tube station is 2min walk, there's an Odeon cinema just 4min walk away and the Tube line (Jubilee) takes you straight to Bond Street for shopping.
I definitely want to come back to this hotel for my next London trip

I stayed here kast year and came back this year (2024) the lication is convienent but i am getting older and the steps at Swiss Cottage underground are starting to get to me. Next i will look for a hotel in central London but for a slightly out of the way this hitel is excellent the staff is number one and a british breakfast can be had for a slight additional amount.

We had a comfortable room, but it was getting old. No aircon, which was tough in the hot summer. Breakfast was an absolute debacle. We arrived when it was full and struggled to get a very cramped table in the corner. Most of the buffet was gone and not replenished and the toast arrived when we had finished our meal.

We enjoyed our stay here at BW Swiss Cottage. It is conveniently located near Regent’s Park. The tube is a 2 min walk away. The Jubilee line is less crowded than others. It’s a beautiful neighborhood and there is a pub nearby.

There is a bookable car park nearby that is about a 3-5 min walk if you are driving here. It was around 80 dollars for 3 nights.

The service we received from the entire hotel staff was first class. My email inquires prior to our stay was always promptly addressed. Micheal (I hope I am remembering correctly) was great upon arrival and stored our luggage as we left for our London sojourn. We had a lengthy stay and our room was made everyday.

The hotel is in a quiet residential area that is steps away from Swiss Cottage station and retail amenities. It’s a good sized hotel with adequate rooms sizes for a major city. It could use a fresh coat of paint as our room had a large yellowing water stain on the ceiling.

Overall the service and location made this hotel a big winner.

No A/C! If it's warm outside then it's burning up in these rooms. They do offer table fans and because we didn't travel in the heat of summer it was ok. Still needed the fans but in my 54 years on this earth i have never encountered a hotel with no a/c.
Close to the train/tubes and easy to get around fron this hotel. There's a market in the square next to the tube so you can get food and fresh fruits and veggies but this hotel offers no refrigerator or microwave, so good luck!
Lest not forget the elevator will only hold 2 people at a time. If you have luggage, then it's tou and the luggage in the elevator and that's it, its that small.
The staff was pleasant and accommodating, they answered all of our questions and helped in a hurry if we had an issue with the room.
There's renovations going on at this very moment but it was barely recognizable because the noise was minimal.
I would do this hotel again but only in the spring and fall months due to no central air.
