Staff were very helpful -room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was very good. Location next to the airport is fabulous. The only complaint is dinner at the hotel restaurant. So-so food and very expensive. They have a captive audience with no alternative places to eat near the airport, and it shows.

We had a late flight into Keflavik, so staying at this hotel was super convenient. It's walkable from the terminal, and this allowed us to pick up our rental car the next day to save some money. The beds were not that comfortable, and we were given one pillow each. No washcloths. The room was quite big. Our bathroom had a walk-in shower with tiled floor that we found challenging, but the water was warm! Breakfast is not complimentary. The food selection for breakfast was good. This hotel was very much worth the stay.

I was most pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We stayed here the night before an early flight, and walked to and from the terminal in a crazy burst of wind. The hotel was a welcome haven in the wild weather. Once there, we enjoyed the cozy room, a sweet happy hour, and satisfying meal. We were fortunately that the restaurant was not over run. We had a chicken burger and veggie burger with fries and found them both quite good. After a quick night's sleep, we were off!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days because of the weather and its closer to the airport. The TV not working and the staff was trying to move us in a smaller room that was totally different from the price we paid. The staff is not friendly.

Very clean and comfortable room at Aurora Hotel – ideal for an early flight. Restaurant staff were super kind (even lent me utensils when I forgot!). Bathroom wet-dry separation isn’t perfect (water splashes on floor), but it’s a minor issue. Quiet, convenient location, and great value. Would stay again!

It’s gets 5 stars for doing what it does well but it is a 3 star hotel at best.

Have stayed at the Aurora 3 or 4 times as it’s so easy to get to/from the airport for an early flight or connection.

Loved the new refurbished room and bathroom during my latest stay. Very clean, great breakfast, friendly staff.

The new bathroom needs hooks for clothes/towels and a bath towel for the floor as it gets wet when showering, but other than that everything was great.

Few things:
1. We asked for a king sized bed (couple with a 2 year old child, plan was to let him sleep between us). We got a 2x90cm beds that had been put together but no adequate mattress on top. Consequently, out 2 year old son was lying on the 2 hard edges of the bed in the middle. He didn't sleep until he was sharing one of the 90cm mattresses. No-one slept in the middle.
2. The stand-by light on the TV is too bright. We meeded to cover it with a towel. Ok afterwards.
3. The fire alarm in the ceiling blinks every 30 seconds or so. And it blinks! It lit up the room every time.
4. They knew we were going to be three. We got two large towels.
5. Both the elevators' regular and regulatory check was expired (by three months).

Overall, not worth the money even if the location is of course amazing if you have an early flight the day after. I woke up at 2am (my son slept in my side) and couldn't fall asleep again due to the blinking light from the fire alarm.

Have slept at this hotel before and then it was absolutely fine. Hope this time was special.

It’s a no frills hotel. The hotel was cold from the entrance and lobby with the bar. The rooms were clean but also cold. The restaurant is in another room so a slight bit warmer.

I recently stayed at this hotel during my trip to Iceland, and I was truly impressed by the level of hospitality. The front desk staff was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They offered wonderful advice on things to see and do in town, which made my visit even more enjoyable.

What touched me the most was how thoughtful they were. One of the front desk employees even asked a friend to drive me into town so I wouldn’t have to take public transportation. That kind of kindness is something you don’t forget.

I felt very cared for throughout my stay, and it made my trip so much smoother and more memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Iceland — the service is exceptional.

Location: A quick, easy walk from KEF airport.

Convenience: We arrived at KEF early and were able to easily stow our luggage at the hotel before check-in. This let us take the FlyBus into Reykjavík for the day.

Room: Quiet, comfortable, plenty of space for two adults and two teenagers.

Breakfast: Open early, excellent choices, a great start before our travel.

Staff: Very friendly, helpful.

Would absolutely stay again.

Breakfast was an additional 25 dls per person for a continental regular European breakfast. Seemed steep and should had been available to guest for less in my opinion. No salmon included. The hotel was clean and the plus is that is right next to the airport terminal. Just a few steps from it. Staff was very nice and attended to our needs when we needed to turn the heater on, the front desk lady actually went up to our room and helped us right away.
