Everyone was very helpful with directions and questions that we had. We had a late flight and they were able to store our bags so that we could go into Keflavik. Very beautiful town and very beautiful hotel. Restaurant and bar areas in the hotel were also very good.

Friendly staff, smooth check in. Beds super comfy! Room was clean, not much in amenities, no tissues, or lotion. Lighting is low in the bathroom if you are putting on make-up.
We arrived early and they do have a place to store your luggage, that is a plus.
Not much do do around the area so waiting for 2pm to check in after a long flight is a challenge.
Overall, we liked the Hotel.

The Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.
The property is at an old military base so, there is not much to do once you arrive. We arrived about 9:30 so missed using the Hotel shuttle. We had to get a taxi from the airport and it is expensive. For our return flight, again timing was an issue so we missed the shuttle. The Hotel did arrange for a taxi to the airport so that worked.
The room was spacious, lacks a bit of lighting. They don't provide Kleenex or lotion so be sure to bring some. We did buy breakfast there and it was plentiful and tasty.

This place is just ok. We stayed here on an overnight layover. Expedia said there was an airport shuttle, which is why I booked there. The shuttle only goes BACK to the airport; a cab to the hotel cost us $53. Desk staff was lukewarm, not friendly when we arrived. Then when I asked about making a reservation to go to airport in the morning, she said I had to scan the QR and do it and pay on line. When quizzed, she finally admitted she could do it. It took her literally 30 seconds, although she was cranky about it.

Room was fine, but had certain oddities. There was a coffee pot and hot water heater. They were, however, not plugged in and nowhere near an outlet. You had to clear the opposite side of the counter of your belongings and then carry a tray of stuff to the other side of the room to plug it in. (Why not just put the flipping thing near the plug????). The only tea option was an awful herbal mix—no regular black or green tea.

Bed and bathroom were fine. But I wouldn’t stay there again.

We had a good stay before our flight back. The room was spacious for a family of four, and clean. I think it was missing a few basic staff for a 250£ room such as plates, or napkins. The breakfast was also decent, with low variety of options, given that it costs 20£ per person.

Hotel is really close to the airport.
Room was the biggest we’ve ever had in Iceland but space was not utilized well. The 2 single beds felt like they were dwarfed by the room size.
Giving 1 star to the room paint. It was dark gray ! Didn’t give me the “homey” feel. I understand that they are going for the modern design but just didn’t cut it for me.

Just a quick stay between our 2 weeks of hiking Iceland and heading back to the US, but this hotel and staff were great: super easy check-in/out and elegant room, with friendly wait staff at breakfast. They offer airport shuttles in the early am hours for about $5 US. Out those hours you can get a 10 min cab ride for a bit more. The hotel is adding in a larger restaurant/ common area, but the construction area didn’t inhibit anything.

Good Airport Hotel. Noticed a courtesy bus to terminal building but we had hire car. Hotel is not within walking distance. Used restaurant - food vg. Room was massive in terms of sq metres. Too big tbh. Very grey. As in everything painted grey making room very dark. Bathroom was very modern and perfect. Hotel overall very quiet and was perfect for our one night. Renovations are taking place and plans look great.

I appreciate they were renovating the property common areas. We had a room that appeared to already have been renovated, but the important design finishing details such as having necessary wall cables tucked away and ample lighting in the bathroom were overlooked. A baseboard was installed over a cable with the cable loop not flush against the wall. The bathroom was dark with no light to be able to apply makeup or style hair. The sink was chipped with minimal counter space for toiletries and the floor didn’t appear to have been cleaned before our arrival. The body wash/shampoo combo mounted in the shower was empty. Thankfully we stayed one night before flying out early the next morning. We knew it was conveniently located next to the airport…

Staff was not very welcoming. Young man working the check-in, in a t-shirt, seemed as if he could have cared less that we were staying. If this was my business, he would no longer be employed. The room was bare basics. No mini-refrigerator to store my meds. I ordered 1-queen size bed, the room we were given had two twin beds. The surrounding area had absolutely nothing for bars, shops, or restaurants. Won't go back!

Great location, very nice and quiet. Nice upgrades they are working on and some completed. Very efficient team.

Only notes are the very dim lighting everywhere and there is no chain or bar lock on the room doors, just a turn lock that is hard to tell when its engaged. Would recommend adding for guests peace of mind.

There are some really great things about Hotel Konvin. The hotel's restaurant and staff is wonderful - great food, great service. The shuttle TO the airport is great, though it's unusual to pay for it. What really did not work for me was the fact that the TV and multiple lamps did not work and it cost me - as a solo traveler going there without a car rental - a $45 USD taxi. That's insane. I get that things are expensive in Iceland, but to spend more to go to an \"airport\" hotel vs travel to and from city center is outrageous. If I do travel to Reykjavik again, I would not stay here. (OH! The walls are crazy thin. I overheard the saddest silliest shortest sex next door.)

After having our flight to New York cancelled due to blizzards we had to stay overnight at short notice. Chose this hotel for its location, reasonable price and good reviews.

I was not disappointed, friendly staff, great location, modern and clean facilities, large room and modern bathroom. We also ate dinner in the bistro and the food and service was excellent.

It really cheered us up after a stressful day waiting at the airport and flight cancellation. The free shuttle bus to the airport the next day was amazing too.

Room was big, bed was big and comfortable and the staff were brilliant. There is also a really nice restaurant called Public Deli next door. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the location. I had not been to Iceland before and wanted a hotel at the airport for the last night so we didn't have to rush in the morning. The hotel also advertised a free transfer to the airport. In reality the hotel is 7km from the airport and their last shuttle bus to the airport is at 8am. We had a 12 noon flight so it was a bit early. We spent £60 on taxis to the hotel from the airport and then back again. I would've spent that £60 on the hotel that is at the airport of I'd known.

The staff was courteous and efficient. My room was spacious and clean. I also really enjoyed my dinner and the gracious waitress.
I was sorry that I was unable to grab something to go for breakfast when I arrived 10 minutes before closing at 10:00, but I understand. As well, I learned the next morning that I had missed a display of the Northern Lights while there. It would have been wonderful if guests could have been informed.

very clean, when we booked, it noted airport shuttle, but shuttle was very limited, taxi is very expensive for 3.5 km drive 5000 ISK, bus exists, but only during day, and takes 1 hour with change etc, Hotel should step up and operate shuttle at least every other hour when flights are arriving and departing. We had reservation with Konvin Car Rental and thye helped us out with ride back and forth they are right next to Hotel, we worked with Carlos, 5 star service from Carlos at Konvin Car Rental

Front desk was very friendly and helped us check in very early for a fee to get some sleep after a red-eye flight with a toddler. Rooms clean and comfortable, great beds, though some of the furnishings were not super high quality like a towel rack that had been installed a little bit off so it kept coming apart.

Breakfast wasn't a highlight. The food just wasn't so tasty and really quite expensive considering the offering, though the service was fine and the dining area very nice.
