The wifi which is a basic amenity as per international standards was not available in rooms due to some reasons. Except that all else was above and beyond- staff was very courteous and helpful. Sonali and her team at the reception desk really do a great job.

Panjim - Ginger 💯

Extremely comfortable space with ever smiling humble and happy staff to serve. They all were so so cooperative and friendly . Food and all meals were tasty . Completely safe since I was solo . Loved their hospitality. Being close to bus Stand helped so much for moving around in city .
Travel desk too very good and helpful at odd hours too. Beyond satisfied with all the amenities Always consider if checking this side .They are just amazing and best. Gym too is good enough . Washrooms very clean all the time . Lounging area is so comfortable with so many options to hold meeting or relax .

Would definitely seek out Ginger hotels in future

One of the best hotels in its category. It is a minimal hotel but has everything. Very clean and organized, breakfast was great and location was nice (center of town, close to all attractions). Wifi is a bit slow though. But overall, I'd stay in this hotel and other Ginger properties again.

Great & conveniently located place

All the staff members were polite, pleasant, efficient! Specially front desk/reception staff like Ms. Anu and the kitchen/breakfast room staff manager Upadhyay and trainee Alum were great! They provided almost home like service to us. Very very nice service overall! Food was nice, too. We would like to stay there again on our next India trip (we were visiting from US, by the way).

Hotel lobby and room were in excellent condition. Service was great; they allowed me to check in around 8am for the following night for a modest fee (₹599); early check-in after 10am would've only been ₹299. Air conditioning & hot water worked well. Free wifi was quite slow, but you could pay for a faster connection. Just a short walk to the bus station.

The reception staff tried to put us into their other property at Dauna Paula which was also worse, hence we were forced to stay in a different hotel. Please check whether you can get the refund as the hotel staff knows we could not stay in the hotel

Stay was peaceful as due to Hotel repair/maintenance and construction work in the neighboring building.
The hotel locality is safe. Breakfast is also good for the price. Room was clean but had a weird smell.
The bathroom door was also broken.
The bike renting counter near the reception is a good facility. (400 INR/ day for Activa, 500 INR deposit)

Tea kettle was stinking. sleep was disturbed more than twice to noise coming in from outside. not at all comfortable to sleep - a lot of light enter from outside as the window blinds are smaller. no much options for breakfast or dinner. No Bar. The staff appeared untrained or in experienced.

Discipline and Decency - culture of Ginger

I give first preference to Ginger wherever I travel. I had been to Ginger Goa, Vishakhapatnam, Ahmedabad, Delhi and feel the same facilities and services. I feel homely at Ginger. Particularly their Veg Curry set concept should be adopted by other hotels also as it does not waste food. In other hotels we are unnecessarily have to order the food quantity which we can not consume if we are single. Veg curry set is appropriate quantity for a single person.

Highly Avoidable Ginger Hotels

Shocked at Ginger product considering its a TATA brand. Appears to be like a cheap 3rd grade facility - same type of rooms are available elsewhere for Rs 1500. Got really taken in by the TATA name, sure Mr. Ratan Tata himself will disown this brand if he ever visits this hotel.

I was given a non smoking room but when I entered the room it was smelling of cigarette smoke complained they did not bother the kettle had a broken led they said that's the way it is
I was promised breakfast free but was refused saying it did not cover in cost paid
Did not argue had it from other restaurants
So in short if you are someone who is not bothered with these things then go ahead say there but I will never

With all the basic functional necessities
The breakfast was simple more of veg delight only 1 or 2 non veg items so I would only suggest this hotel for business travelers. For families there is nothing much. And the room was pretty Small.

Good for the price

I chose this hotel because it was close-by to the International Film Festival of Goa that I was attending. The rooms were fairly clean, except the room had a sorta musky smell to it in the beginning. But overall a nice stay!

please avoid this hotel as this hotel is close vicinity to garbage plant ,which is only 50 mts from the hotel ,hotel staff is trying hard to keep the smell by room sprays .its horrible smell .as you are standing inside a garbage bin .the hotel canot do any thing may be government of goa to shift the garbage plat very far from city centre

Decent Budget Hotel in Center of Goa

Good Budget Hotel, Cleanliness is good, Hotel staff is responsive, Food is homely and good.Hotel is in next door to bus stand. Panjim Main Market is 1 Km. only. Nearest Beach is Miramar Beach & is approx. 4 Km. Ferry is just 1 Km.

In case you want to visit Candolim, Calengute, Baga, Anjuna and Vagator - They are between 12~20 Kms. In case you take Rented 2-Wheeler it is OK, But if one is thinking of Taxi then it will be very expensive - better to stay in Hotel near to beaches. For going to south Goa, you need a taxi.

Staff is responsive. They Gave extra Pillow and bedsheet on Request. Shops are nearby.

Only Problem is the Dumping Yard near to hotel which gives awful smell. As per Hotel Staff, it will be shifted in next 2-3 months.

Stinking hotel rooms because of hotel location

Our stay was not as we expected from a Ginger brand. The hotel staff and services were good. Unfortunately, the hotel is located behind a garbage dumping yard (as told by Hotel staff) and most of the rooms on one side of the hotel are \"stinking\" and inhibited by \"big\" mosquitoes. We were given one such room for the 1st day of our stay. At that time we did not know about the dumping yard. But when the smell in the room became unbearable, we spoke to the front desk. On our asking they informed us about the dumping yard. They changed our room but we failed to understand why is the hotel trying to place their guests in such rooms. I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone because of the bad location of the hotel. All the rooms on one side of hotel face a dumping yard and could make guests prone to health hazards.

3 Star? Avoid - Not worth at all

Stayed for 3 nights @Ginger.
Check in was quick and smooth.

Service: very poor. They don't care actually for their customers. Room service is pathetic. If you need something you will have to remind them minimum 3-4 times.
Room cleanliness : it will be done at their timings not according to your requirement. Very first day I went out in the morning with instruction to clean the room while I will be back after lunch. To my surprise when I came back to rest for an hour after lunch room was not cleaned. Reminders to reception were not helpful. I requested to talk to manager, but manager was out for lunch. Went to reception desk after waiting for 40 minutes and 10 calls, answer was - they have meeting so will have to wait for 15 minutes (this was not communicated on call). When person came for cleaning after 1 hour of wait he said his master card to open room was not working so he went to fix that so he was late :) ( Two different reason and I could not understand why he need that card while I was present in the room)

I made an entry in logbook for manager to meet me but during my 3 night stay he never met me :)

More over the hotel is just near the dumping ground so you have to bear with bad smell once you come out of the hotel

I will like to advise travelers to skip this hotel and look for other available option

This is very nice hotel in the heart of Panaji, Goa. The rooms,staff, location,price everything is very right. Rooms are clean, staff is good. Amazing thing is the hotel restaurant. It is named as (AULI) as you like it. It has award winning famous chef who cooks amazing food for you. The taste is too good for whatever comes out of from this hotel kitchen and the food cost is very reasonable so that you don't have to eat outside anywhere unless you are far away from this hotel. This hotel also has Coffee Cafe day inside. Overall very nice place to stay.

1. Inconsistent facilities. For 3400/- per person per night, I wasn't given complimentary breakfast, but on the day I checked-in another person who paid lesser got complimentary breakfast.
2. Food items were overly priced
3. The travel desk was WORST. The person (bald headed) was not polite and I had a VERY BAD experience with hiring bike from him. Not only was the bike not in good condition, when I asked him to replace it with another one, he wasn't ready to pay back for the amount of petrol that I had already put in it

We stayed 4 days and overall good stay with good food and room service. Room condition could have been better with regular maintenance. Beware and DO NOT hire taxi from the travel desk. I learned that travel desk was given to an external person who charges double the rate that u get from other external vendors. Otherwise a Good hotel.

Convenient location to explore in-land Goa

Overall the stay in this hotel was good. There are some things that they should improve, for instance, the Wi-Fi signal did´t reach to our room, breakfast was pretty bad but for the rest it was a very decent hotel and good value for money. It´s walking distance from the old town of Panaji and they have a travel desk that can arrange different activities in in-land Goa. It is a very good option to use it as a base of exploration for Old Goa and Central Goa.

Ginger Goa is a very comfortable hotel a short walk from the Church of the Immaculate Conception. i thought that the desk staff could be a little more enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area. The restaurant staff are excellent and very helpful and welcoming. I was, however, surprised that breakfast is not included in the cost.

Simple and basic rooms. No surprise but room was larger than I expected. Location is good not far from city Center and bus terminal. It was a good choice for us as we only wish to spend 2 nights '' in town'' before heading to the Beach.

Ginger simply not good enough

It all started with a lie this hotel is NOT centrally located in Panaji it is very much on the outskirts of Panaji. We drove to the Hotel and did not want to drive when we went out so we had a brisk half an hour walk to the centre.this ruined the stay for us and the hotel itself could do with a lick of paint,.overall pretty mediocre.
Small things like paper cups to put your complimentary coffeee in which leaked all over the place as soon as you put hot water in them did not help either. Staff were nice but all else was pretty dismal.
