+ Location 100m from Les Diablerets Gare train and bus station. 30 min drive down to Gstaad: up to twice as long during rush hour in Gstaad
+ just about ok breakfast
+ Sauna box in house
+ Friendly staff

Points for improvement:
- More cleaning personnel capacity required at peak times. Our room only got cleaned towards 3 p.m. or even later in the afternoon/ evening.
- An egg boiler would be helpful at breakfast. For now only scrambled eggs available. Add bacon, ketchup for scrambled eggs. Add lemon pieces for tea. Buffet dishes to be filled up also during the last hour of breakfast.
- A shower needs to be installed at the gym and sauna area.

There were building works going on in the hotel. At 8.15am on 2 of the mornings they started using power drills in the room next to mine. I was woken up both days and the power tools continued the whole day. It was incredibly loud and impossible to sleep, think or work.

Gorgeous location

La Chamois is nestled in a truly stunning setting—mountains on all sides, towering pines, and that crisp alpine air that makes everything feel a bit more magical. The location alone is worth the stay, with trails and vistas just steps away. The hotel itself is charming and well-situated, though the walls are a bit thin, so light sleepers may want to pack earplugs. Still, it’s hard to complain when you wake up to views like that. Conveniently located close to the train station. Super friendly staff.

Rude and agressive staff in a run down hotel

The hotel room was advertised with a kitchen and a double bed. We did not recieve either and were told that none of the rooms at the price we paid had these features. The man at reception did not apologise and did not take resposibility. He blamed both Hotels.com and Swiss Quality and was both agressive and rude - the situation was extremely uncomfortable. The hotel was run down and poorly maintained (for example our sink was blocked). The breakfast was terrible (I hope future guests like boiled eggs and croissants). I would never recommend this hotel. An apology and some humility from the staff for a mistake would have made a big differenc Ultimately, this is a bad, overpriced hotel.

This is an economy hotel and I payed more on Expedia than the rack rate which the front desk clerk told me was 100 chf a night. I didn’t like that! But good location rental shop just down stairs clean good breakfast we got to check out at 4pm for 50chf was a deal.

I go to les Diablerets since 1996 and this hotel has not changed a bit since, so it's a old fashion, as far as facilities and furnitures are concerned. Do not expect hipsters to crash there. Personnel was welcoming and conditions were good.

Only a 5 min walk from the train station.
Greeted by friendly staff with a smile.
Our room was bigger than expected on the 1st floor. Balcony was a bonus with great views of the Alps and the village of Les Diablerets.
Shower was amazing extra powerful.
Wide selection for breakfast ( 10 franc ) self service was delicious.
Hotel is well located for all of the local bars and restaurants as well as the free bus shuttle to Glacier 3000 which was the purpouse of our weekend stay.
Can highly recommend

Nice stay in Les Diablerets

It was a nice stay at Le Chamois Swiss Quality Hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive and the room was spotless with a comfortable bed. Les Diablerets is very laid back and there is not much going on in the summer. There are some nice hiking trails and it's beautiful out there. I can imagine it being very busy during skiing season.
The only small negative was the tiny bathroom and shower, but the water pressure was great, water was hot, and the view from the balcony made more than up for that.

Pretty good value for the price. Spectacular scenery. Make sure, however, to understand the breakfast options, as there is a very small buffet (for extra charge) that is distinct from the coffee/croissant only option that was included in our package. Staff, most of whom were very good English speakers and all of whom were very friendly, seemed confused about conveying this information. Management had to correct our bill, but was unhappy (not sure whether at us or his staff) on checkout.

The good: Location is nicely located. Bed was really comfortable. The bad: There was a big sign in the front prohibiting skiboots so it was awkward to change shoes in the lobby. The ugly: The WiFi was really terrible; if you were hoping to get some emails done, forget it.

We stayed here 2 years ago and we were happy to stay here again. A very helpful man on reception who spoke fluent English. Very good breakfast. 3 restaurants within 5 minutes walk. 5 minute walk to train station, supermarket next door, ski bus stop opposite which saves a 15 minute walk to the Meillerets chair lift.

Relatively central to all amenities - close to bars, restaurants, shops, ski lifts etc. Staff were nice and friendly but aside from checking in we had limited interaction with them. Rooms were clean and comfortable but basic as was reflected in the cheaper price. A nice basic hotel but nothing particularly memorable about it.

Good value hotel for the local ski area

Hotel was perfectly located – on the red bus loop which goes round the village and to the closest two ski lifts, and then it was right by the Coop supermarket and a 5 min walk in ski boots to the train station for the yellow bus to the Glacier. The bar in the hotel is very reasonable and good for playing cards before dinner. We didn’t try the breakfast as was 15 CHF per person per day so we instead got fresh croissants and juice from the Coop each morning. Upsides of room: amazing showers and rooms cleaned each day with fresh towels. Downsides of room: too warm and as the heating was centrally controlled you needed to sometimes open the window at night, which then was quite loud from cars going by. Double bed in our room was quite narrow and the pillows were very thin so we needed to ask for more the next day.

I stayed in 2 4-star hotels in Switzerland and i was amazed by the beauty of this cozy family managed hotel. It is located in a calm village 10 minures by car to the Glacier / Alps.
I would definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

The hotel asked us via email, what time we will arrive. We arrived 2 hours earlier - the hotel entrance was closed. They opened at our predicted arrival time. Instead of waiting we also just could have called the service telephone number that was noted on the front door. So this was not really a problem. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was equipped we a stove,, refrigerator and coffee-maker, all very clean. From the balcony we could see the surrounding mountains.

a pleasant surprise while traveling alone!

Got a last minute deal for a good price while traveling alone across switzerland. I only checked the photo and made sure it was accessible by public transportation. Finally got to this cute hotel after riding a little tram for almost an hour- BEAUTIFUL scenary, it might have been my favorite part of stay in Switzerland. The staffs are very friendly as well. I had issue with wifi in my room but the manager quickly fixed it. Room is clean and moderate. Very nice for the price. There is a coop supermarket right below the hotel. Im glad i chose this hotel otherwise i would have never seen this part of Switzerland! would definitely go back if I ever go back with my loved ones. :)

Le Chamois - lovely hotel and owners

we have just returned from our stay atLle Chamois where we went with friends. A very charming hotel. Nice warm and clean rooms. Slightly old decor, but that didn't bother us at all. Stunning views from our room. our rooms had cooking facilities, a kettle and fridge. A supermarket is a couple of minutes walk away.The bus to the ski runs stops right outside the hotel and is free. the breakfast is continental style with a selection of cheeses, ham, cereals, toast croissants etc.
This is our second visit to Les Diablerets and it doesn't disappoint us. A stunning village.
the owners are new here and we found them all very friendly and helpful.
A very nice family run hotel. we shall be staying here again on our next visit.

Room was pretty cheap, and it was fine. Big room, with couch, all comfortable. Shower was very nice, despite being small had great water pressure. Ended up with two singles rather than double, which isn't perfect, but there you go. I would say it was a three star hotel. Bit of a walk to the slopes, driving was much easier. The bus system was rubbish, but hardly the hotel's fault! Overall a nice, quiet family orientated resort, and a decent value hotel.

Pleasant hotel, not smart but perfectly comfortable. It was pre-season so the restaurant was closed but we were given breakfast in a lovely local cafe just a few minutes walk away. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We found ourselves in a room over the bar and on our second night it was opened up for a group but they immediately moved us to another room. Lovely village, perfect pre-Christmas location.

Accueil au top. Chambre pour 3 confortable avec balcon avec jolie vue (ch 201). Merite un petit rafraîchissement et des equipements un peu plus fournis et modernes pour le prix, mais tres satisfaisant pour y dormir et skier en journée. Isolation accoustique sans doute perfectible mais ça ne nous a pas derangė malgré hotel complet et periodes de fete.

très bruyant, peu insonorisé, une voisine d'étage hystérique au téléphone.
nettoyage en demi-teinte : rognures d'ongles sur le tapis, pommeau de douche très entartré et non-ajustable en hauteur pour une personne petite, un miroir grossissant (en soit bonne idée) collé sur le miroir principal à grande distance et pas accessible pour une personne petite et miroir encore moins utile si la personne est myope...
Le signal tv est médiocre.
Lit ok
Présence de poissons d'argent (cela ne veut pas dire que l'établissement est hygiéniquement épouvantable mais ils y en a.
L'accueil est bon.
Buffet de déjeuner tout a fait respectable.

Week-end aux Diablerets

Literie confortable, buffet petit déjeuner excellent, accueil les chiens mais prix très excessif : 30.- la nuit. Mieux vaut mentionner que vous venez avec un chien. Il y a des chambres avec parquet pour les toutous. Et par téléphone car le commentaire que nos amis avaient mis au moment de leur réservation n’a pas été lu... et ceci nous a valu un accueil un peu... particulier ! Pas désagréable mais particulier. Car ils ne pouvaient pas faire de rocades, l’hôtel était complet. Sinon excellent séjour. Je recommande.
