A fantastic boutique place! 20 individual bungaloes, each with own, private outside area for sitting and enjoying native foliage. Beautifully appointed room, with 2 beds and couch. Indoor and outdoor showers for your room. Beautiful landscaping along walkways and pool areas. Secluded beach with loungers. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Spa massage was wonderful. Restaurant portions were generous, tho menu was somewhat limited. Service was very good. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Alma! It was everything we were looking for and more. The amenities and room were great and being able to walk to the beach was key for us as we saw the best sunsets every day. The staff were also great, Angie and Juan were always helpful, nice and got us everything we needed. Some small recommendations is to have some more lounge chairs by the beach as sometimes they were hard to find. And a bar by the pool would have been awesome. Otherwise, we loved staying at Alma.

Amazing place! A very romantic place with a great family atmosphere. Much love has gone into this place to make it special! Perfectly manicured gardens with hand tools. Perfect in every way. Prettiest beach along the Southern Pacific coast and I’ve stayed at them all. The food was great and the hospitality was a 10plus.

My family stayed at Alma Del Pacífico for four nights during the “rainy season” after driving from our stay in La Fortuna. We didn’t mind the late day rain at all. We were able to get all the daily activities in before it started. The beach is as everyone has described, flat and walkable. We were able to swim with the waves, even our seven year old. Perfect for surfing, and our oldest took the opportunity with Brett’s Boards. There are more sand dollars than we have ever seen! Breakfast options were filling, and everyone was so nice! Our room faced the ocean with a small wading pool. Each villa has its own outdoor privacy wall with small garden area. Seriously perfect and exactly what we envisioned with no crowds. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

The most incredible perfect stay! Staff is amazing! Attention to all details! Grounds are immaculate! Rooms are huge and even have a water bottle in the fridge that you can refill because the water is filtered! The breakfast is amazing! I have nothing but praise for this place! I’ve travelled a lot!! But this is the best stay I’ve ever had! The location is a perfect jump spot to access all the activities in this area! Zip lining, Nauyaka waterfalls, Manuel Antonio national park, Quepos! And there are many restaurants less than one kilometer away at the plaza! I will definitely tell everyone about this place! And I’ll be back!

This was a beautiful, small property on the Pacific Ocean. I loved sleeping on the hammocks on the beach. Our bungalow faced the ocean. The ocean was too rough to swim in comfortably for me. The staff was amazing. The room was super cute and clean. The bed was very hard, but overall, definately recommend for adults.

Wow, what an amazing holiday. The hotel was fabulous, right on the beach and very quiet. The villa was huge with our own plunge pool and amazing sea view. The staff were so friendly and helpful - We speak no Spanish but the staff mostly spoke good English and also taught us a few words of Spanish too. The hotel arranged so many trips/transfers and hire car for us - they were so efficiant with excellent communication, they made the holiday so much easier thank you. The cleaning staff did an amazing job keeping our rooms lovely and fresh, and all the staff were cheerful and friendly, even the gardeners always said hello and smiled. We came for our 25th wedding anniversary and our first proper holiday for many years - it did not disappoint, and we will be back!

This is a beautiful property. Our villa was located on the beach and we got to see the most gorgeous sunset. Right in the front was the pool. The property is well kept, all the staff were friendly and helpful and the villa was very comfortable. Eveything about our stay was excellent. We also dined at the restaurant a lot and the food was delicious. I highly recommend coming here for a relaxing stay.

This property is amazingly beautiful. Staff is wonderful. Food was okay, not authentic more Americanized. They only issue I had and why I would not return was the bugs. Bugs everywhere in the rooms, toilets , shower , kitchen and bed (not bed bugs). I believe if this hotel should fix all doors, windows, sliding doors so the bugs can’t get in. Now the views were impeccably beautiful when we woke up the ocean was my back yard. With a private pool. Oh lastly, the price you pay for the villa, nothing in your room was free. Everything had a price tag attached. Nothing complementary, not even one snack

Very beautiful small resort on the beach. Everyone gets a gated private villa. The bathroom was the cutest but it had a high window cracked open at all times due to no exhaust and we tried closing but wouldn’t so bugs were in and out. We had garden view two double bed room but double bed was very small compared to standard double bed and was not comfortable at all. They have made beds and couches part of the construction with whatever material the floor is made of so there was no headboard and you were directly resting head on the wall which concerned me all night about bugs crawling into me. No curtains scared me all night. Birds chirp all night which is so pleasant. Restaurant was crappy. Our place wasn’t as clean. Bfast wasn’t buffet & included only one slice of bread and they charged for one extra piece of bread too. Staff was friendly specially Luna at reception desk. Spa is open, Covid test on site, two pools were gorgeous. Hot tub was on literally for one hr everyday. Lots of unleashed dogs on the beach. Local food was available at about 2miles drive. Mostly old people were at the resort so there is literally no activity at the resort you just chill and go back to your villa by 6 since it gets dark and nothing to do. Manuel Antonio 45mins drive, Jaco 35 mins drive. I have a mix feeling if I would stay here again or not but most likely NOT.

This hotel was beautiful. Very quiet, nice and polite staff. It is about 45 minutes away from Quepos and Jaco - which is where all the restaurant and activities are. It is also 2 hours from the SJO airport. Taxis area bit expensive but the cost is round trip so it balances out. The staff did not speak fluent English but they did their best. The hotel food is not great, but free breakfast is a good touch. Overall, the hotel is gorgeous.

Alma del Pacifico resort is a hidden jewel! We were glad to have GPS guide us because the roads in Costa Rica aren't well marked. We turned off the highway onto a rough dirt road which was about a mile long. Turned left onto another rough road to the gated enterance. Security made sure we had a reservation. Parking was free at this resort. Once inside, you find beautifully manicured flower and tree gardens. Our room was a bungalow facing the ocean. We had a little dipping pool all to ourselves. The room was decorated in bright colors. The bathroom was a dream with a huge walk in shower and double sinks. The bedroom also was decorated with bright happy colors. We had a refrigerator, sink and coffee maker. Breakfast was included. The bar had happy hour daily and the restaurant food amazing. Definitely this place is amazing,

Its a very good hotel, with a different concept, the idea is to give you privacy so all the apartments are totally isolated by colorful walls and this way you cannot see people circulating around. Very modern accommodations and lots of of gardens around even when you are taking a shower. Unfortunately because of the pandemic the Spa was closed so that was the only opportunity to enjoy a whirlpool or a sauna because outside they only have the pools and the beach. One amenity I missed was the gym, for a hotel like this its something they should work on to improve.

This is a beautiful hotel with a very good restaurant. the front desk and restaurant staff were excellent. The grounds and the pool were well kept and beautiful. My complaints would be the doors and locks did not function well and mostly had no seal at the bottom. I figured out how to get the locks to work ok but not how to keep out bugs and some rain. The windows provide a very nice view but parts of them can not by covered so we wandered around in the dark so as not to be visible from the beach. We had a continual stream of ants and two to five fairly large bugs in the room at any one time and sometimes sleeping at night, the ants were annoying.

Bad Covid-19 policy at Alma Del Pacifico
We did not stay at the Alma Del Pacifico. We had to cancel our trip to Costa Rica because I had a positive Covid-19 test. We contacted Hotels.com. to cancel our reservation. Because we were within 30 days Alma Del Pacifico refused to refund our payment or offer us a credit for a future stay.
