Disappointing.
Breakfast AWFUL. Breakfast room dreadful, conference room. You have the potential to have breakfast on the roof in a covered area with a view … why not use it?
Breakfast waiter - miserable!
Hot food was cold and greasy. Choice was limited.
Hotel foyer and corridors pleasant. Hotel room very dated. Terrace awful (bearing in mind you pay extra). Terrace should have parasol and loungers as minimum and safety glass in between terraces should not be cracked - this gave an unkept appearance.
On the one and only plus side, Reception staff were pleasant and (American/Canadian night porter was a delight!).

(4th floor) I have stayed at the Traina on a number of occasions.
It is usually a very good hotel. On this occasion the swimming pool had been drained for maintenance and I wasn’t notified by this which was disappointing.
The room French doors were very difficult to open and close and two freestanding lamps weren’t working.
Everything else was to the normal high standard.

Really lovely little hotel

The staff couldn’t have done more for us. We had such a mare when we arrived to San Pedro, leaving keys to our house back in the UK and having to book a last minute hotel. Thankfully we relaxed as soon as we stepped foot into Traíña. Reception staff were lovely. Allowed us to check in early, upgraded our room to a huge terrace, explained where everything was and how it all works. Made us laugh and feel so much better about our situation! Rooms were super clean and spacious, friendly housekeepers in the morning, aircon units were clean and refreshing, fresh towels every morning. Small fridge in the room to hold your waters. €10 deposit per pool towel which they allow you to take to the beach as well. Small rooftop pool with sun loungers - this was a lovely view of San Pedro! Friendly evening reception staff who are always happy to chat. Oh and location! Surrounded by restaurants, 15min walk to mar menor and salt lakes, small fairground at the bottom of the road with evening markets. Spoilt for choice in terms of bars, cafes and restaurants. Overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, they couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

It was hard to find fault with the hotel, which is very clean with friendly staff. Our (rear) room was spacious, the large bed was very comfortable with a good-sized panoramic sunny balcony.
Very good sized bathroom with bath/shower, excellent water pressure and hot water always available.
Breakfast cereals could be improved upon but there was a good range of other hot and cold items to choose from.
The roof-top (unheated) pool is open all year, and offers panoramic views around the area. The sun loungers need renewing, but this could be on-going maintenance for the summer months.
Parking was quite expensive at €8 per day for the hotel underground car park and a discounted rate for staying longer at the hotel could be offered at €5 per day. There is always street parking available which is safe and free.
Restaurants are limited in the immediate area within 10-15 minutes walk, but are available further afield.

This place was fantastic for customer service. They really went out of the way to be helpful. They insisted we moved to a nicer room!!!
Nice pool on the roof but uncomfortable sun beds and out of season so no covers available. Breakfast is not worth it, go down to the local panaderia instead. Fabulous coffee and amazing staff made it a great stay. Rooms are basic but comfortable. It's not a 4 star but very clean, great staff and good location

We initially were going to stay only for one night at this hotel, but it was so good we stayed for a second night!
There is a hotel carpark, €8 per night, but we had no problem getting a place to park outside on the street.
Check-in was easy - we can speak some Spanish, but the receptionist also spoke English.
We had a very good room with a small balcony which got the morning sunshine. The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable.
Everything was very clean. The shower had great water pressure.
There was a fridge in the room, and a small safe which was opened by the door card.
We didn't eat lunch or dinner in the hotel, but the menus were extensive.
Breakfast perhaps could have been a bit more adventurous.
Around the hotel are many bars and restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay here!

The location was perfect for us are we were there for Pinatar Cup, the walk was a good one but manageable on a daily basis. The room was ok and the fridge was a real positive. TV was small and had BBC London and no other English channels, beds were very comfortable but pillows were hard. Breakfast was ok, not much variety as the same everyday was out and in other hotels tends to be some changes especially at the weekend. Reception staff friendly and very helpful, couldn’t asked for them to be more helpful. Pool was tiny and freezing but perhaps the wind in the summer would be perfect but not in March. Not a 4 star hotel but a very pleasant 3 if you were asking me!

This is our second time to stay in the Traina and found it delightful. Lovely friendly and helpful staff, especially Veronica - a gem. We loved the roof top terrace experience and the location is perfect, within an easy walk to most amenities in the area. This is what hospitality should be like.

I had a near perfect stay, A great room with terrace, comfy bed and good bathroom facilities. the only negatives were the bathroom towels were a bit small ( I have seen mentioned before), also it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room. My stay was only spoilt on the last night. I think a group of footballers turned up there was shouting and whistling in the corridors which disturbed my sleep. All other nights were perfect.

Good hotel with excellent staff but I would rate it more 3 star than 4 star. Bedroom was a bit cramped with only one bedside table (insufficient room for two). Restaurant had good selection of food but eg no tablecloths, so overall felt slightly less than 4 star experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Fish / meat cooked to order on show cooking hotplate. Hotel is about 7 minutes walk to the sea through pleasant back streets.

We only stayed one night here, but would certainly go back to this hotel.
Check-in was easy, the staff polite, easy to find and parking immediately outside it on the street.
Lovely pool but was too cold mid October to venture in!

As it is early in the season very few places open in April,still no crowds but finding some ware to eat was not easy.Hotel is good very clean with good sized rooms.The breakfast could be better not very hot so I heated up in the microwave.very little choice outside of the hotel.

Ideal hotel for the money

Our stay at the hotel traina was a birthday treat for my wife. The hotel is in a very central location and all amenities locally are easily reached. Some of the hotels facilities were not in use EG. the cafeteria but as this was being decorated then OK but it would have been good to know in at time of booking. Generally very good value for money and we would both use this hotel again.

Clean quiet, a great hotel.

Stayed for a week in September 2015 and found the hotel very good. We had a balcony and inside there was no noise from other rooms. The beds were very comfortable and the room nice and clean. The buffet breakfast was OK, with plenty of choice, eggs, bacon, cereal, meats, fruit etc. The beach is a 10 minute walk and there are sun beds for hire. We managed without a car and took the bus to Cartegena (well worth a visit), the stop is 100 yards or so right out of the hotel on the opposite side. There is an excellent Michelin restaurant 5 minute walk again right out of the hotel (Juan Mari).

Beautiful place and beautiful hotel. The hotel decor and staff were a very high standard. The hotel was a short walk to a lovely beach with lots of cafe's and restaurants. Because it is not a very touristy place it was so relaxed there. I had a fantastic holiday.

Lovely room with balcony...prob more 3 star than 4. Breakfast OK, dinner cheap but much better restaurants down in sea front. All staff except man who did most of restaurant duties (needs to smile and welcome people!) pleasant and very helpful....very good value and would go back. Easy to get taxi from San J airport.

nice hotel, out of season business trip...

nice hotel...better than nice, very nice...had a lovely room ... cheap off internet....hardly anyone there, restaurant and bar deserted...in fact Monday night hardly anything open in town but taxi driver directed us to a great little restaurant....(walk past Restaurant Venuzuela..closed Monday... to the taxi rank and look up the little road to the right...lit up 100 yds...great Spanish place..sorry cannot remember name!)
didnt have time to use or even see facilities of hotel.....pool
breakfast was very basic....but fresh bread and croissants, juices plenty really...not a great British fry up (thank goodness!) but it was also cheap....
reception staff extremely nice...no problem with wireless code or internet...just one real big problem...the room was sweltering hot in the middle of the night...March 3rd...

We booked this hotel for its location as it was centrally located between a number of areas we wanted to visit in the Murcia region, it was also great value and had fee wi-fi in the bedrooms which worked really well and is a must these days. The first point to note is that you do not need to pay for parking at the hotel, we stayed for 7 nights and was able to park within 100m of the hotel on the main road without any problem. The staff seemed friendly enough and the check-in process was quick and reasonable straight forward. Our room was a good size and was clean although perhaps a little dated. We also had a large balcony with a couple of chairs and a table. The room had a reasonably priced mini bar which was stocked each day and a safe. We asked for extra pillows and they were delivered promptly. Within walking distance of the hotel is a really nice bar (turn left out of the hotel and it's about 200m on the left), it's quite a large bar and had live music at the weekend which was great, they also served very nice tapas with each drink for free as do quite a lot of bars in Spain. A bit further down on the right on a corner is a pizza restaurant which we ate in twice and it was great on both occasions and good value. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food but as a base for travelling around it was great value.

Booked this hotel because i liked the look of the rooftop pool, they have been very clever how they took the photo as it is tiny with about room for 4 sunbeds around it. But it is only 10 minutes walk to the promenade and beach so you dont really need it. Rooms kept clean, bathroom lovely. Free safety deposit box in room and fridge.

Beskrivelse på nettside stemmer ikke.
Var hverken kaffetrakter eller vannkoker i leiligheten.
Mangelfullt også, om du ønsker å lage mat selv.
Rengjøring daglig, men ikke 100%.
Nettsiden sier de har dyner!! Det har dem ikke!
Personalet ellers på hotellet var veldig behjelpelige å hyggelige.
Frokost var greit, men ingen variasjon..
Blir nok ett annet hotell for oss neste gang.

Se debería controlar el aforo de la piscina, no puede ser que pueda entrar cualquiera sin filtrar si están alojados o no en el hotel.
Era muy agobiante y el único día que fuimos se llenó de gitanos. Nos tuvimos que ir.
La escalera de acceso a la piscina está torcida y resbala al poner los pies en ella

Supuestamente hay wifi en todo el hotel pero casualmente a nuestra habitación no llegaba, si intentabas conectarte en otro sitio a veces se conectaba y a veces no, si tenías suerte y se conectaba tardaba un siglo e iba extremadamente lento.
Las almohadas mediocres, las sábanas no las cambian, lo se porque la sábana de abajo estaba rota y estuvo así los 6 días de la estancia.
Pocos platos a elegir en el buffet, sobretodo postres que siempre eran los mismos, además si en otro restaurante que tienen cara al público había mucha gente, el buffet queda desabastecido y no reponen los platos. Eso sí, la comida estaba muy buena.
El personal del buffet era muy agradable, al contrario que los de recepción que ni si quiera saludaban (excepto el turno de noche)
