Train station one block away, taxi booth at the end of property. We walked to the cathedral and downtown almost daily.

The staff no common courtesy no common sense very unprofessional did not meet the standards in anyway, housekeeping was terrible. Put up do not disturb sign and they still went in the room did not replace hand towels neither did they replace the daily water bottle they took half full., made 3 request but where never delivered! Fell asleep waiting, at 1 o’clock went to the reception ask for a water bottle I needed so that I take with my medicine and was told the ran out and didn’t have the keys to the lien closet for the hand towels. I told them had they old me earlierI could have gone out to buy some since know everything was closed.The breakfast buffet was terrible. Stale pastries from the day before the was dry and cold at checkout I am very very disappointed, but then again you get what you pay for!

Para comenzar yo ya estaba a punto de dormir descansando cuando me pidieron gritando literalmente del pasillo que bajara a pagar mi estancia porque la tarjeta no habia pasado, después pedí unas toallas y me las negaron porque no pedí servicio en el cuarto, no se cuales sean sus reglas pero en ningún otro hotel me las habían negado, otra cosa que había una cucaracha en el cuarto lo cual es muy desagradable y antihigiénico, y tengo pruebas en foto de ello por último el desayuno estaba muy raquítico, solo comimos fruta porque no había variedad.

Everything …Breakfast not good no real eggs they were powdered, and hot dogs, no blankets for bed my wife’s, and I, and my mother-in-law only had a sheet, no coffee makers in the room. When we had booked one executive suite 4 days.
The room came with very minimal items. Conditioning control came out of the Wall in room 769. Could not control the air temperature. We usually stay there every time for a convention twice a year. I don’t think anymore. Because of the lack of amenities, I would say it’s more like a one star.

Rente 2 cuartos por que éramos 5 personas aparte creo es un límite de 4 personas por cuarto, 3 y 2 más que suficiente de espacio, cuando hice check inn la persona del front desk con actitud nefasta me comenta que solo tenía registradas 2 y 2 por cuarto por lo que tenía que pagar por la persona extra, me cobró $400 pesos, no sé cuál sea la diferencia si no pague por el buffet, pero en fin, solo había una toalla para todo en el cuarto, llamé para pedir más y nunca llegaron, tuve que bajar a recepción los 2 días de estancia por toallas.

I reviewed and chose this Hotel because of location and the amenities. We arrived less then a hour before check-in and they would not check us in til 3pm. We were informed that the pool was closed. I wanted to swim at night. They bar only served three types of beer and no alcohol drinks because the bar was under repair. I think they didn't have a bar tender. The bedroom didn't have blankets on the bed, only a sheet. I had to ask for blankets. The bathroom only had two towels. Nothing to put on the floor when you get out of the shower or at the sink when you wash your hands. The buffet was okay, but there was onions in most of the dood. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful.

Old hotel, needs a over hall in all areas. Staff was really nice but room service took 2 hours for ice & 2 sodas. Also the website a bit deceiving by pictures & information provided. For example room I chose described double room with a king & single bed when it was not a double room & was a a standard room with x2 twin beds & a very tiny room with little room to move

Check in was a real nightmare with the hotel staff not honoring the rate I was quoted, they exchange the rate to local currency at a ridiculously high exchange rate, much much higher than the posted by the banks and money exchange places, they also refused to accept my payment in Canadian dollars, they demanded payment in the super inflated pesos rate, go somewhere else where they respect the quoted rate

It's a basic, bare bones room, but ok for the price we paid.
The air conditioning only came on for 2 minutes at a time, once every several hours, but we stayed in November. Still, it was getting up to the high 20s during the day and I would have preferred more AC.
Also, in some of the public areas I often smelled what I thought was gas (LP) but I'm thinking it may actually have been coming from a broken sewer line.
We had supper in the restaurant. It was ok, nothing special. Didn't try the breakfast buffet but heard it was good.

Nos dieron el cuarto no nos pusieron tuallas para bañarnos, al bañarnos el agua de la coladera se quedaba estancada no pudimos llamar a recepción porque no teníamos telefono en el cuarto. Al salir del cuarto habia una fuga de agua del techo y mucha agua en el pasillo. Por el precio no vale la pena. Hay hoteles cercas de alli mas baratos y mucho mejor.

The worst experience I ever had in a hotel! Room was dirty, elevator take like 10 min to open, front desk staff are super rude and not helpful, they try to overcharge at check in, they turn the ac down or off at night because it gets so hot in the room and the entire hotel and they have roaches. I honestly don’t recommend this hotel if you want to have a good experience visiting Guadalajara! I am not that person to write reviews but I don’t want anyone to go through what I experienced.

This is a hotel that focuses their service on Mexican nationals rather than international tourists. For example, the young lady at the front desk didn't speak English, and the rooms only included bath towels - no hand towels or wash cloths, but getting extra towels was easy.

The price was very good, and when you consider the price, everything was excellent. However, the safe didn't work and there was no phone in the room. Later they put a phone in the room, but it didn't work. They eventually gave us a new room resolving both problems.

The rooms have a very dated decor, and the bed was modest, but the pillows and the bed were among the most comfortable we've ever experienced at any price - looks can be deceiving.

They also had a bug in their system such that our keys were not working when we returned in the evening. We eventually just went to the front desk every night to have our keys recoded.

If your goal is low cost and a good night sleep, then I recommend the hotel. If you're looking for modern decor and rooms supplied like an American hotel then choose a different hotel.

If we had a choice, we probably would have changed hotels, but we paid Orbitz in advance, and I didn't feel like the hassle of trying to get a refund with Orbitz. It's the downside of paying in advance for a hotel. Next time I get a hotel with Orbitz I'll definitely look into Orbitz's policy on checking out early. It might have been easy - I just don't know yet.

A decent4-star hotel, fantastic staff, surrounding area is not best looking. The staff was very good to deal with and very accommodating. Even with my broken Spanish they always understood and were very helpful.
Two minor points: It would have been nice to have more than just the two bath towels, as they had to be used for everything, hand and facial washing/drying, etc. The room had a little damage to the walls that needed some touch up paint. Otherwise the room was as promised, clean and functional.

Wouldn’t recommend.

Service was amazing. All the employees were very kind and helpful. Room was nice, breakfast buffet was great.
Unfortunately, during our stay every night around 10 PM or so the hallways were always VERY noisy from other hotel guests kid’s running around and having very loud conversations. When we called the front desk no one answered.
And on our last night we woke up to bed bugs. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend this place to someone.

They did not give us the correct room and it was dirty. When I addressed the issue the cleaning person gave me attitude and was only cleaning it with water and no cleaning supplies. We got switched to a different room and that one was clean. The door key wouldn’t work often so we would have to go down to reception and ask to help us.

The hotel room had no running water when we arrived and we were not told such until after spending an hour to check in. Ao there was no way we could use the toilet nor shower. They could not tell us when we were going to have water. I cancelled the reservation , but had paid for it already, and my family abd i had to walk around for about an hour looking for another hotel. We finally found one that had a room available but i paid twice as much as the reservation i had. I emailed Expedia about rhis Friday but no reply as of today. I am oretty upset about this. I am requesting a full refund and it will be fair to receive some extra funds from you to compensate for the time and additional money i had to pay for the second hotel. They don't know how to service their Customers, everywhere in the lobby Parking lot all asking you drugs and money. Staff just ignore you and accommodate them more than the travelers. I recommend anyone not to book this hotel cause you will see a place from hell on Earth

The rooms smells badly. The floor seems like it has not been swept in days with dirt and long hair everywhere. The sink still has the rubber bands used for hair. The pillow cases have beard hair and look old and dirty as well as the sheets. Walls have shoe sole marks. I am very unhappy about the room.
I will not stay here again nor recomend this hotel.

If you must stay in Historic area, this is a good option. We had a church event at the hotel and did not want to be taking Ubers or be walking late at night. The historic center of GDL is not great place at night.

Highlight of hotel is the lobby and breakfast buffet. Aside from that everything is OK. AC worked great and beds were not bad. Restrooms are really small and rooms in general are small.

Restaurant across the street was great but very limited to restaurants after 9pm.

I believe they need better supervision of the rooms when we arrived very late and tired the room assigned was occupied and we did not know when we got there and opened somebody was there already then we have to go back to the reception desk and they give us another room it was no that clean, the air-conditioned did not have the cover and the filter was filthy not telephone and not towels I called from my cell and asked for the towels and the phone and wait until for about two hours and never got what I asked about 2: am we decided to go to sleep without a shower until the next morning
I got the towels by myself the phone never came

Hotel lobby ,Bar and Restaurant are very hot, do the minimum air conditioning. Because of the temperature, the main doors are open which allows car exhaust and fumes to enter the hotel, because of this the hotel is very dirty ,dusty and unpleasant to stay. in the lobby ,bar and restaurant
